"yea we decided on taking things slow, repair out friendship i guess" i said to the phone while doing my make up.
"bet they wont stop kissing" juj said and sofia smirked. "enough i have boundaries" i said laughing.
"sure babe whatever u say"
"a minute ago she said she texted him love u too"
"as a joke!" i defended. "sure, A JOKE" juj smirked. "okay enough with the roasting" i gave up. "hes gonna be here soon bye cuties patoties" i said quickly.
"i cant with u" sofia replied and i hung up.

"hey beautiful" he said making me blush. "stop i dont have my memes to make that a joke" i said with honesty making him laugh. "shall we go?"
"we shell" i replied as he opened the car door for me.

"wait a sec, thats my manager" he said picking up his phone.
"so, what did u do?" i asked chuckling. "me?? nothing" he smirked. "oh my god what did u do?" u asked again, curious.
"i lowkey didnt really tell him im leaving la. told him right before the plane took off" he laughed as i smacked his arm. "are u crazy? my lord"
"crazy for u" he replied laughing. "thats so disgusting stop"
"yea i admit that was disgusting" he said putting his arm around my shoulders. small steps. small steps.

"what's your favorite lyrics, from any song" he suddenly asked out of the blue. "let me think" i replied looking at him in the eyes with a smile. "this is like, a new one. theres this song by noah kahan and he says 'throw a punch fall in love give yourself a reason'" i said moving my gaze from joshua to the ocean in front of me. "i guess i take that as like, live in the moment kind of situation ya know? like, a yolo thing. take risks, go for big, fall in love" i added looking back at him. "just like that, without a reason, without waiting for a reason to come i guess".
he just stayed silent. looking at me, in a comfortable silence, just like that. "i love the way u see things, the way u look at the world" he suddenly said, "i appreciate your way of seeing things" he added.
"what about u? fav lyrics" i asked looking back st the ocean.
"i guess 'slow down u crazy child', a classic. in this world, like, in the industry, things are so fast, too fast, and u go from this to that, to do more and more, u need to keep up, u need to always be doing something to keep going. and i love my
job and so thankful that i got to engage in the thing that is my way of running away from everything, but its a reminder that i can slow down sometimes, that its gonna be ok if i wont release a single right now, or an ep or an album or anything, that its ok to take a break, and when i realized it, i came here, i met u" he said making me feel like im gonna melt here and now.
i moved closer to him, putting my head on his shoulder, enjoying the moment and letting the comfortable feeling sink in.
