Luffy laughed as he stood towards the front of Megalo. Neptune chuckled, and spoke to the Straw Hat Captain. "Careful you don't fall! Neptune!" Neptune's whale sung 'whale' in response followed by Megalo laughing 'shark, shark'. Neptune went back to singing. "Jamon. Jamon. Jamon. Neptune!"
'These guys makes so weird noises, huh.' (Y/N) lightly sighed before looking past her captain to the beautiful sight in front of them. 'It's like you can see all of Fishman Island from up here. It's amazing.' (Y/N)'s thoughts were broken when Luffy spoke up. "I don't get it. What's 'Jamon'? Sounds dumb to me."
Pappag screamed before running to up Luffy and hopping on his shoulder. "Kid, are you stupid or just plain crazy?! You got invited to the royal palace. Don't be a punk!"
Neptune chucked. "You have no idea how much my daughter loves that shark. It's her favorite pet." A small frown appeared on his majesty's face. "'Megalo's never coming back!' she said, tears welling up in her eyes. I had no idea that he had been attacked by the kraken. You have my gratitude for rescuing him from danger."
"Shark! Shark!" Megalo happily smiled.
Luffy sat down, kicking his legs up and down as he laughed. "I can't really take credit, but whatever. It all worked out!"
"So the princess has a shark for a pet, huh?" Pappag questioned about. Brook swung upside down from the shark's fin. "Oh? What's that, Pappag? Could it be that you're not as intimate with the princess as you claimed?" Pappag chocked up before turning to Brook and shushing him. Nevertheless, Brook continued his taunts. "It did sound fishy." Brook flipped around to stand up on the shark. "Aquatic puns aside, I feel so bad for Sanji! He's stuck in bed, and he wanted to see the Mermaid Princess more than anyone else!"
Usopp stood up next to Brook. "He's had a lot of bad luck lately and it hasn't even been his fault. Mostly."
(Y/N) placed her hand on her chin in thought. 'I wonder why Sanji's bed resting. Maybe he got sick? I'm sure he's fine since Chopper's with him.' (Y/N) looked over at Camie when she spoke up. "I mean, someone like me going to Ryugu palace."
Usopp walked over and squatted next to the green-haired mermaid. "He said we could bring our friends and you guys definitely make the cut!"
"This is a rare opportunity, just enjoy it! And if you think it's bad, enjoy it even more." Nami happily exclaimed. (Y/N) giggled, smiling back at Camie. "They're right, ya know. So get rid of that frown and replace it with a smile." Camie gave (Y/N) a soft smile from her words.
Neptune chuckled. "By the way, I sent my sons to fetch you, but they took too long and I grew impatient. I hope they returned in the meantime. We're holding a banquet, you see, and I simply can't stand to wait on any more guests!" (Y/N) cringed at the sight of Neptune drooling through his beard. Luffy joined his drooling. "I think we're gonna get along great!"
Luffy drool hit (Y/N)'s face making disgust run across her face. (Y/N) irritatedly stood up and punched Luffy's head. "Keep your spit to yourself!" Luffy turned back to her in confusion, but jumped back a bit in fear when he saw (Y/N)'s death aura surrounding her.
Neptune wiped his mouth clean. "Oh, speaking of guests, I already invited one of your crew mates. He's at the palace now." (Y/N), Nami and Usopp 'huh'ed his words in confusion before Neptune continued. "I must say, he was a bit lacking in manners, though. He started drinking before the banquet, and wouldn't listen to reason when I advised him to wait for the other guests to arrive. I seem to forgotten his name." (Y/N) wore a irritatedly expression on her face. 'Definitely Zoro.' A few seconds past before Neptune exclaimed. "It's Zori!!"
(Y/N), Nami and Usopp held up their right fist to Neptune. "It's Zoro, okay?!" The three flew off the shark from their sudden movement. Luckily, Usopp grabbed the back of the sharks tail fin followed by Nami grabbing onto his leg and (Y/N) grabbing on to hers.
"Don't worry, as surely as they found him, my soldiers will find the rest of your crew and bring them to the palace." Neptune calmly explained as Usopp pulled himself and his crew mates back on the shark.
"That was too close for comfort." (Y/N) sighed before following Nami towards the front of the shark.
Luffy turned back when Nami peaked around the sharks fin. "Hey. Got any idea where everyone else went, Nami?"
"Oh uh..." Nami thought for a few seconds before (Y/N) interrupted. "Franky and Robin had a few things to take care of on their own and Nami and I went into town to shop." Nami nodded her head in agreement. "So, we split up again, but it wasn't a big deal. No trouble on your end, right?"
"Uh... Well, maybe an itty-bitty bit." Usopp sassed.
(Y/N) plopped herself back down on back of Megalo as Nami spoke up. "Hey, fish king, I have a question." Pappag jumped on Nami's head, biting down as he scolded her. "That's 'Lord Neptune, the God of the Sea' to you!"
(Y/N) blankly stared up at Pappag. "Welp. He's a goner."
After Pappag got a proper beating from Nami, she calmly asked Neptune. "If we're 10,000 meters below sea level, why is it so bright and sunny everywhere we go?" (Y/N) poked Pappag's body to see if he was still alive.
"Well, that's likely what our ancestors thought when they first arrived here." Neptune spoke with a light chuckle. (Y/N) stared up at Neptune in awe from his words. "This is the only place in the deep sea that light reaches. It is a glorious, glowing beacon for all of Fishman kind and has been for as long as anyone can remember. We owe it all to the giant Sun Tree, Eve, whose mighty roots stretch to these depths, carrying shimmering sunlight along with them."
"'Sun Tree?' So are its roots bioluminescent or does it just transfer sunlight from the surface?" Nami questioned back.
Neptune quickly replied. "The latter, it seems, though scientists have puzzled the specifics for ages. The respiration of its roots also supplies oxygen from the surface to our island. Regardless, we owe our entires civilization to this single, mystic tree."
Usopp looked over at Nami. "So, it's like the big brother, or in this case, big sister of the mangroves in Sabaody."
(Y/N)'s attention was grabbed when she heard a large growl in front of her. Luffy held his stomach. "Hey, hairy fish dude, I'm getting' hungry."
(Y/N) smacked Pappag down before he could run after Luffy. "Your attempts at trying to fix my crew's manners is getting old."
Neptune chuckled. "We'll be there soon."
(Y/N) smiled up at the giant air bubble above her. Luffy gasped in awe. "It's huge!"
"That's an understatement!" (Y/N) laughed at the sight.
The group traveled to a giant stone circle with a bubble inside it. "That's the entrance. Get ready." Neptune traveled up to a small button on the rim of the stone circle. After he spoke his name, the guard who answered the doorbell opened the gate to the palace. "Here. You'll want one of these." Neptune through two small pink corals down to Luffy and Nami.
Luffy looked at the coral in confusion. "Yeah, what is it?"
"It's a Bubbly Coral." Camie spoke up behind the captain. "It lets you make a little bubble whenever you want to."
"Land dwellers don't visit often, so much of the palace is submerged in water. We don't want anyone drowning." Neptune quickly explained.
Luffy and Nami clicked the ends of the coral, creating two large air bubbles. (Y/N) gasped in awe at the sight as the bubbles emerged together, around herself and her crew mates. Usopp happily exclaimed. "Can we take these as souvenirs?"
"Oh, we are so keeping them." (Y/N) smiled at the coral in Nami's hand.
"Now, forward!" Neptune commanded his whale and Megalo. The two swam through the water gateway as Neptune exclaimed his own name.
"It's fast!" Luffy laughed as he spoke. Nami added in. "This is fun, but I can't wait to see the palace!"
"I'm.. getting kind of nervous." Camie hugged Pappag in her arms as she stared up the water pathway. Pappag added in. "Yeah. I know, it would be life changing for me, too. Just think. What if this makes me even more famous?"
Brook stared at Pappag. "Interesting. So starfish can sweat!" (Y/N) giggles back at her friends before turning to look at the pathway. 'Fishman Island sure is incredible. I'm not so sure about the Fishfolk though.' (Y/N)'s smile slightly dropped when she remembered what those Fishwomen were whispering about. 'I shouldn't let it get to me. Maybe it was just those three anyways.'
Finally Neptune, the Straw Hats and their friends made it to Ryugu palace. Neptune spoke up first. "Jamon! We're here!" Everyone collectively 'ooh'ed the sight in absolute awe.
(Y/N) had a large smile on her face as she took in the scene around her. "It's truly breathtaking!"
"Woah! Those dragons are sweet!" Luffy exclaimed, staring up at the dragon statues around the palace. Brook quickly added in. "Pappag's house seems positively shabby in comparison." Pappag quickly yelled at Soul King to watch his mouth.
"Buy me one of these, Luffy!" Nami begged her captain. (Y/N) nodded her head in agreement. "And a second one for me, 'Capt!"
A few guards called out from the front of the palace. "King Neptune has returned! We were wondering where you ran off to! Hurry, let them in! Opening the gate!" The giant golden doors began to slowly open, revealing two long lines of royal guards. Once the crew was invited inside and off the shark, (Y/N) jaw slightly dropped from the welcome as all the guards chanted. "Greetings, your highness. Welcome back!"
Luffy ran up a few feet, throwing his arms into the air as he giggled. "Now this is gonna be fun!"
"Make yourselves at home. You are my honored guests." Neptune smiled at the Straw Hats. A sea horse Fishman yelled up at Neptune. "Not again! And you brought guests along! I've told you not to leave the palace on your own, but you don't listen to a word I say! If you can't take guards and you can't inform your staff, then you can't leave the palace and that's final!" Another older looking Fishman besides him joined in on Neptune's scolding. "Shame on you, sir!"
Neptune hung his head, clearly showing disappointment in his own actions. "Jamon! It won't happen again!"
(Y/N) wore a shocked look on her face. 'He got scolded?'
The sea horse Fishman continued. "There are so many countless ways this could have gone wrong. Our kingdom is in a volatile political state right now. Surely as its king, you realize that!"
(Y/N) turned her head to her captain when she heard his stomach growl. 'This boy loves food, huh?' Luffy looked back at Neptune with a pout on his face. "Can we just have the banquet already?" (Y/N) watched Luffy run off making a shocked expression on her face. 'Oh no. What's he up to?! That boy is gonna get us all in trouble.' (Y/N) quickly turned and ran after her captain.
"Luffy? Where are you going?" (Y/N) swam up behind her captain, but she was too far for him to hear. 'Oh you gotta be kidding me.' She watched as Luffy flipped around in the small air bubble he created. 'What caught his eye in the first place?' (Y/N)'s eyes lit up with berry signs. 'Maybe it was royal treasures?' She shook off her thoughts when Luffy bounced into another doorway. 'Woah. There's so many different corals and fish down here. I wish I could take some photos, but I don't know how much vision dial would work in water.' (Y/N) shrugged and continued after her captain. She tilted her head in confusion when he hit some type of air wall. (Y/N) quickly swam after him, in hopes to catch up, but a giant Fishman began to walk towards Luffy causing (Y/N) to grow anxious. 'We are so bust— Oh. Or he can just walk right past him and not notice him. That works too.' (Y/N) sighed in relief before allowing the Fishman to walk through the air bubble wall and into the path she just came from. She swam under the Fishman's food cart he was pushing and to the air wall. Pushing against it a bit, (Y/N) finally forced her way through and front flipped, landing on her feet. "That was easier than I thought." (Y/N) continued in the direction she saw Luffy walk off in. She looked up at all of the weapons in the wall of the building she walked past. "Interesting choice of design for a palace... Honestly, it's kind of creepy." (Y/N) heard a door creaking up up the path she was on. "That's gotta be Luffy." Finally she made it to the door, it was absolute covered in weapons. 'Geez. This looks more disturbing than the walls.' (Y/N) peaked her head in the open doorway, whisper yelling. "Luffy? Are you here?"
Luffy giggled. "Still really confused, but this sure is fun!"
(Y/N) squinted her eyes to see into the dark room. She gasped when she saw what Luffy was jumping on. "Luffy, what are you doing?!"
"(Y/N)?" Luffy looked towards the doorway in confusion before landing when someone speak up. "Hello? Who's there?"
The lights turned on making (Y/N) shield her eyes. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw a giant pink haired mermaid sit up on a giant bed. Luffy fell of the mermaid's chest, he was using as a trampoline and landed on the bed below him. The mermaid had tears in her eyes. "What a horrid thing to do! Bouncing on a poor, helpless girl such as myself! Who are you, sir, and what are you doing here? Please don't hurt me!"
(Y/N) quickly flew up next to Luffy, waving her hands in front of her in defense. "I am so sorry for my captain's actions! The boy is an idiot, yes, but I'm sure he didn't know what he was doing!"
Luffy stood up, looking at the mermaid in shock. "Woah, that's one big lady!" (Y/N) irritatedly turning to her captain. "Don't you realize the position you put us in?!"
The mermaid leaned towards the two Straw Hats, holding up her fists in frustration. "Have you come to kill me, too? Because I will have you know, I'm not afraid! No. Not of you. Not of anyone else, either! I am the daughter of King Neptune! I'm not... I'm not afraid of anything! Nothing at all!" Both (Y/N) and Luffy had to dodge the Mermaid Princess' giant tears as she struggled not to cry. (Y/N) stared up at her in confusion. 'She seems pretty afraid to me.' The Mermaid Princess covered her eyes and began to wail. "Someone help me! Father, please! Brother, please!"
"Luffy, what do we do here?" (Y/N) looked over at her Captain with a concerned look at her face.
Luffy put his hands up in defense at the Mermaid Princess. "Hey, wait! I didn't come here to kill you, okay?" The Mermaid Princess continued her sobbing making Luffy frustrated. "Ah! You suck, lady! Shut up already!"
"Luffy!" (Y/N) irritatedly yelled at her captain.
"What?! She won't stop crying even after I told here we're not gonna kill her!" Luffy pouted back, pointing up at the sobbing Mermaid Princess. More large tears began to fall towards Luffy making him jump out of the way. "Hey, woah! Will ya calm down?! I'm just a hungry pirate lookin' for somethin' t'eat! Geez, listen to me! Hey!!" Luffy covered his ears. "She's so loud! My ears!"
"Somebody help me, please! There's two humans here in my chambers! Bloodthirsty humans aiming to kill me, I'm certain!" The Mermaid Princess continued her crying.
"Huh?" Luffy held his arms up in defense. "No! Hey! Quit makin' stuff up! I just wanted that food! I didn't even know you were in here, all right?"
(Y/N) shook her head at the situation before her eyes widened on alert when she heard something flying in behind her. "Princess! Look out!" A battle axe came flying into the door, over Luffy's and (Y/N)'s heads, aiming straight for the Mermaid Princess. Thankfully, Luffy jumped between the mermaid and the axe, successfully stopping its path of destruction. He struggled a bit, but was able to throw the axe into the wall behind him. (Y/N) flew up and caught her captain as he fell. "Nice save, 'Capt. But what the hell was that?" (Y/N) sat him down on the bed, staring at the battle axe, with a red rose on its blade, in the wall.
Luffy stated it down. "Who's throwing axes?"
(Y/N) looked back at the door when she heard guards yelling for Princess Shiraoshi. "That can't be good." Luffy looked back as well, questioning the noises he heard.
"Sorry." Shiraoshi softly spoke making (Y/N) turn back to her, but she jumped back a bit when she saw the princess' giant hand looming over her. (Y/N) stayed quiet while listening to guards question the princess' state of well being. Shiraoshi softly replied. "Um. I'm fine!"
"You were crying even louder than usual. It gave us quite the fright!" An oddly familiar voice spoke. 'Sounds like that sea horse Fishman from before.'
"Hey! Put me dow—" Luffy yelled out, but got cut off by something. (Y/N) felt like yelling at her captain to shush it, but knew she needed to stay quiet.
"Hold on, the door was already open!" One of the guards quickly spoke up. The sea horse Fishman questioned. "Did you see any intruders here, princess?"
"Uh, perhaps a strong current opened it! I awoke crying from a bad dream, that's all!" Shiraoshi quickly replied. Luffy's screams for air was heard for a few seconds before beginning covered up again. 'Is she covering his mouth? He's probably panicking right now!' (Y/N) snicked at the thought, but her mouth was quickly covered up by Shiraoshi's pinky finger.
(Y/N) tried to pull the princess' finger off her nose and mouth when the sea horse Fishman spoke. "Hm? I swear I just heard someone! And something like laugher?"
"Uh, no that's, well, um... My... My stomach was rumbling!" Shiraoshi nervously replied.
"Oh? Are you certain?" The sea horse Fishman quickly turned his attention else where when he heard something yell 'shark.' "Who goes there?"
(Y/N) heard something getting stabbed before the princess spoke up. "Megalo! You've returned!"
"Ah. That reminds me. I have some rather dire and vexing information I must relay to you immediately. It's regarding the pirate who saved Megalo. The one known as Straw Hat Luffy. Some mermaid girls were kidnapped and he's our prime suspect." (Y/N)'s eyes widened in shock from the sea horse Fishman's claim. "Also, based on a troubling prediction from Madam Sharley, the Straw Hat crew is considered a potential risk to the entire kingdom. So we've locked them in the palace prison, just to be safe. We already have the swordsman in custody. Upon arrival, he drank himself into a state of compliance." (Y/N) grinned her teeth in frustration. 'Stupid, dumb, sexy Zoro. Why are you such an idiot?!' The sea horse Fishman continued. "Three other members of the crew have just arrived, and I imagine they're in custody as well by now. But their captain and one other crew mate... Well they might be more perceptive than they appear and picked up on our intentions, for they seem to have fled. They are almost certainly hiding somewhere in the palace. So please, be careful. We'll catch the rest of them on the island in no time, I can promise you that. We will defend this country as well as your home at any cost."
(Y/N) had a irritatedly expression on her face when she heard Luffy's stomach loudly growl. 'We're so busted.' The sea horse Fishman questioned the noise, saying he heard something, but Shiraoshi quickly relied. "Are you sure? You sound paranoid."
"No. I'm sure that I—" The Fishman tried to defend himself, but Shiraoshi cut him off. "It was just your imagination!"
"Well, what I wanted to say..." The sea horse Fishman continued to speak to Shiraoshi as (Y/N) locked eye with Megalo. (Y/N) tried to shush the shark with her hands, but was failing and making Megalo freak out even more. Finally, Shiraoshi shushed Megalo and quickly made him cover his mouth with his fin. The sea horse Fishman spoke with a seriousness in his voice. "Princess? You're acting a bit strange. Are you hiding some—"
"Minister." A guard cut him off. "We must leave."
"Oh. Five minutes already? Well, we'll be going now." The sea horse Fishman and his guards left soon after. When the door finally shut, (Y/N) heard locks being clicked together making confusion run across her face. 'Why are they locking the Mermaid Princess inside? Isn't this her home, too? That's a bit inhumane.'
"You saved me. Thank you so much." Shiraoshi held up the two Straw Hats in her cupped together hands. "I'm sorry. I should have given you a chance earlier. I hope you'll forgive me. If I had only known who you were, that you were the ones who saved Megalo." Megalo happily spoke 'shark, shark' as he swam up next to the captain. Luffy reached up and pet the shark as Shiraoshi continued. "Not to be overly familiar, but may I call you Luffy?"
"Yeah, sure." Luffy calmly replied.
Shiraoshi looked over at (Y/N). "And who might you be?"
"I'm (Y/N) (L/N), but you can just call me (Y/N). It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess." (Y/N) happily smiled up at Shiraoshi.
The Mermaid Princess gave (Y/N) a light giggle in response before turning to Luffy. "So, Luffy, they said that you're a pirate, right? Does that mean you're a bad person?"
Luffy thought for a second. "Oh, I dunno. I think I'll let you make that call." (Y/N) smiled at her captain's answer, placing a hand on her face as she stared at him with awe. 'If only he was like this all the time and not so childish.'
Shiraoshi 'okay'ed Luffy before continuing. "Oh. I don't know if you just heard, but our soldiers have taken your friends into custody."
"Yeah. That's no big deal. Trust me on this, there's no way your guys can keep them locked up for long." Luffy calmly explained. (Y/N) nodded her head in agreement. "Zoro's being a stupid alcoholic is the only thing that frustrates me about all of this."
"Really? Huh." Shiraoshi slightly lowered the two.
"Yeah. Don't worry about it, though." Luffy stood up. "So, what's with the axe? Lemme hear it. You know who threw the thing? Were they trying to hit you?"
Shiraoshi spoke with a sad, but serious tone in her voice. "I know who threw it, and yes, he was." A frown appeared on (Y/N)'s face as Shiraoshi turned to look at the axe. "His name is Vander Decken, and he's a pirate. He wanted to marry me and I refused, so he wanted to kill me now. And he will. There's no escape. You see, he ate the Mark-Mark fruit. And he used that power to 'mark' me. All he has to do is throw a weapon, and it will find me. Anywhere, any time. That's why I never leave here. My only real chance to continue living is being locked away inside the Hard Shell Tower."
(Y/N) frown vanished when Luffy's stomach growled. "Oh you have to be kidding me, Luffy! Can't you see She's telling a sad story right now. Tell your stomach to shush it!"
Luffy looked up as Shiraoshi with sadness in his eyes as he clutched his stomach. "I'm so hungry!"
(Y/N) whipped her head to her captain. "We're you even listening to the Princess?" (Y/N) sighed in disappointment before looking back at Shiraoshi. "I'm sorry, Princess, but do you have any food here? 'Capt is pretty hungry."
Shiraoshi giggled before taking the two over to her meal that was absolutely gigantic in comparison to the Straw Hats. Luffy's eyes lit up with stars as drool seeped from his mouth. "Ooh! Oh, yummy! I can eat all this?"
"Go ahead!" Shiraoshi giggled at the captain when he joyfully hopped to the food. "(Y/N), you can eat as well."
"Um. I'm sure Luffy would eat everything before I get the chance to—" (Y/N) was cut off by her own stomach growling.
"Come on, (Y/N)! You better dig in before I do eat everything!" Luffy shouted back at the (h/c) haired woman before burying his face into a large bread roll.
Shiraoshi giggled before peaking up another bread roll and tearing off a small piece. "Here you go!" She handed bread to (Y/N).
"Thank you! The smell of the food definitely made me hungry!" (Y/N) happily ate the bread making Shiraoshi giggle.
Luffy spoke up while he was devouring the big bread roll. "So this creep wants to marry you, but he's trying to kill you? Doesn't make much sense, huh? 'Cause it's usually one of the other."
"Oh, so you were listening." (Y/N) sassed before munching on more bread.
"Yes. I've been on here ten years." Shiraoshi replied with a sad smile on her face.
(Y/N) choked on her food. "Ten years?!" Luffy added in. "Man, you much be bored!"
"Indeed, and my father made a well-meaning but misguided rule. So now no one can visit for more than five minutes." Shiraoshi stated making (Y/N) tilt her head in confusion before the princess looked over at Megalo. "Which is why Megalo's my only real friend. Without him... Well, I wouldn't have anyone to talk to."
"Yeah, they were gonna throw a big banquet to thank us for savin' him." Luffy picked up a large oyster and stuffed it in his mouth. "Guessin' that's been canceled now. Here, (Y/N). Ya gotta try this!" Luff slid and oyster shell to (Y/N).
"Thanks, 'Capt!" (Y/N) cracked open the oyster, but shock ran across her face when the meat to be gone. (Y/N) turned back to Luffy, yelling. "How did you manage to eat it already?! It wasn't even open!"
"My bad." Luffy happily giggled as slid an opened oyster with its meat still inside.
(Y/N) happily ate looking up at Shiraoshi. She swallowed the food in her mouth before questioning. "What's on your mind, Princess?"
"The fact they canceled the banquet. It's so awful. Why would they do that? They don't have to throw you all in prison. Though from what I've heard about Madam Sharley, all of her premonitions have been astoundingly accurate. I suppose it's the nature of their caution, but still..." Shiraoshi was interrupted by Luffy's slurping. (Y/N) turned to her captain and giggled at the sight of him vacuuming up a long sea weed. Shiraoshi joined her giggling before she joked. "Or maybe they were just worried you could consume the entire kingdom's food supply. You humans sure do eat a lot despite how small you are."
(Y/N) waved Shiraoshi off. "No, no. That's just Luffy for ya. My captain can eat a giant's meal easily, especially when he's hungry."
Luffy slurped up a large noodle. "That's the old guy's fault. He made a big fuss about the banquet, but then he kept getting yelled at. I finally couldn't wait any longer, so I followed the smell here. Hey, by the way, did they call you 'Princess'?"
Shiraoshi nodded her head as she simply replied. "Yes."
(Y/N) threw an oyster shell at him out of frustration, Luffy fell over in pain as she yelled at him. "You are such a gluten! I was worried sick for why you ran off!"
Shiraoshi looked at Luffy with a concerned expression, but it vanished when he sprung up and began running to the large blue drink. "So you're the Mermaid Princess?"
Shiraoshi smiled brightly at the two crew mates, tilting her head slightly. "Yea. That does come with being King Neptune's daughter. My name is Shiraoshi."
Luffy turned to her in confusion. "Shi-what?"
"Shiraoshi." The princess replied with a giggle.
"Uh... That's too tough to say." Luffy blankly looked at her before running off when he spotted something appealing. "Ooh! I'm eating that!"
Shiraoshi giggled at the captain. "You know, I could be wrong, but you haven't struck me as bad people so far. Are you two adventurers? Is that why you decided to become pirates?" Luffy and (Y/N) 'uh-uh'ed her as they ate. Shiraoshi rested her head in her hand. "How wonderful. Then you must have seen the sun many times in your adventures. Oh yeah! And what do the stars in the night sky look like? Oh! I've been you've seen all sorts of animals, and flowers, too, huh? Now, what else? Oh right! Have you even been to the green place? I think perhaps people call it a 'forest'?"
Luffy held up his free hand to the Mermaid Princess. "Hey, relax, you ask too many questions! Just gimme a sec!"
"Luffy, she's just curious. Don't be so harsh." (Y/N) rolled her eye at her captain.
"No. It's fine. I understand." Shiraoshi smiled at (Y/N) making her slightly blush. 'She may be a giant, but she's also a gorgeous mermaid. Her future prince better treat her right.' (Y/N) lightly giggled, but looked up in confusion when Shiraoshi looked over her to Luffy. "It's cute how full your cheeks are!" The princess pressed her large finger on Luffy's inflated with food face. "Poke!"
Food sprayed out of Luffy's mouth making (Y/N) fall on her back from laugher. Luffy quickly turned to the Princess, yelling. "Stop it! What the heck is wrong with you?!"
Shiraoshi gasped making (Y/N) wipe her joyful tears from her eyes and look up at her. The Princess had tears forming in her eyes. "Puh, puh, please, don't." Shiraoshi turned around, holding her face in her hands. "Please don't yell at me! I just can't handle it! Oh, no. You're such a-a brute."
Shiraoshi began to sob making (Y/N) sit up, crisscross. "Don't start crying now, Princess. You poked a man's face while he was eating, it's only far for him to get irritated in return."
Luffy stood up from his food, looking at Shiraoshi in confusion. "Woah, calm down! This is nothing to cry over! Stop!"
"No one have ever yelled at me before! And I don't like it! It's horrible!" Shiraoshi continued her sobbing.
"Now that's just pathetic." (Y/N) stared up at the crying mermaid. Luffy added in. "How can someone so big be such a coward and a crybaby?" Luffy went back to eating. "Y'know. I don't think I like you."
(Y/N) shook her head at her captain. "I gotta admit, he has a point." She lightly sighed and went back to eating.
Shiraoshi and Megalo turned back to the two in shock as Luffy laughed at the situation. Megalo screamed curses at the two, but was ignored since it just sounded like strange mumbling. Shiraoshi curled up in her blanket on her bed. "How could you guys say that? No one's ever said such an awful thing to me. You're such terrible people! Please! Just go. I want you to leave! I can't take it! It hurts too much!"
Luffy stood up in front of the plates that once had food on it. "Ah! I am full! Thanks for the grub! With as long as you've been stuck in here, no wonder you're scared of everything."
"Leave Luffy! Just please get out of here! You too, (Y/N)!" Shiraoshi sniffed back at the two.
Luffy calmly replied. "We could. But, isn't there someplace that you wanna go?"
(Y/N) stood up with her hands on her hips. "Now that sounds fun, 'Capt." The two giggled at each other.
Shiraoshi quickly stopped her sobbing. "Well, of course there is. There are lots of places that I'd love to see. Why?"
"Thought you say that. So, let's get outta here!" Luffy happily exclaimed. Shiraoshi looked at him in confusion. "Let's go take a stroll!" Luffy grabbed (Y/N) by her waist and began to jump off the giant table they where on.
"No!" Shiraoshi quickly stopped the two with her hands making them stumble back on the table. "I'm not supposed to. I can't do that!"
"Why not? Just do it!" Luffy grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and began running towards the end of the table.
Luffy's arm stretched out since (Y/N) didn't move. He turned back to look at her confusion when she spoke he reasoning. "I don't know, Luffy. The idea is great, but remember what happened?"
Realization stuck Luffy before he smiled up at Shiraoshi. "You'll be okay! If that guy throws somethin' at you, fine. I'll take it down, just like the last time."
(Y/N) couldn't help but smile at her Captain before she brightly smiled up at Shiraoshi. "You got me, too, so let's not worry, okay?"
