Pond cursed the fact that he was late on his first day. When he walked into the orientation room that he was assigned to, all the chairs were filled up. He had stood awkwardly at the door for a while before noticing there were two other people in the same predicament as him. One of them was leaning by the sink while the other stood beside him. He takes in a deep breath and walks towards them.
"Hey, what's up bro? Khun cheu alai? Phom cheu Dunk na khup(what's your name? I'm Dunk)" Dunk greeted Pond with a warm smile. Pond sighed in relieve internally. He introduced himself as Pond.
It might not have been a significant event for others to remember but that scene had stayed in his mind for years. That was how he met his best friend, Dunk. The person that had been a constant in his life since that faithful day. The sunshine of his life.
