The silence is so loud inside a huge room, everyone can feel the coldness and seriousness of the on going meeting between the two families after the Christmas celebration. Everyone sitting are thinking deeply and finally the Cheon family break the silence
"it's a fact that the following decisions of this marriage has nothing to do since the wedding has been done. Thinking about this thoroughly.." y/n's mother, the queen, look at both Hyunjin and you before continuing her statement
Hyunjin stayed silent when the meeting is on going, while y/n on the other hand is making points to her reasoning to make them approve about the divorce.
"We will be able to do this divorce,but.." y/n's face lit up when she heard that but at the same time she can't deny that it hurts her deeply, doing this unselfishly because all she wanted right now is to free Hyunjin from pressure and his own happiness.
"we will not announce the divorce right away, we will wait until the Holiday season is finished. We wouldn't want to ruin everyone's break" the queen ended with a sigh
"both of the family understand princess y/n and prince Hyunjin decision, since this decision was agreed by the both of you we will proceed on the process" the king, Hyunjin's father, stated as well and they all agreed
"I will give papers from time to time to get both of your signature" the lawyer included in the meeting raise it while fixing the papers for the family.
Both Hyunjin and y/n's family seems so disappointed to the both of them because they thought this will last by the look of it, and also both of their parents are really close as well personally.
After a while their family left the room, leaving them both behind.
It's still silent, no one is talking, Hyunjin just kept his gaze on the ground while you're just looking around wondering if you have anything to say to Hyunjin before leaving.
"finally..after planning about it, we've finally come to end, isn't it great?" asking him with a wide smile on your face but inside of you, the feeling of finally sinking in what is happening gives you a thousand pain you must endure
"yeah.." Hyunjin plainly said then start looking at you
"Kim will like this news, advance congratulations to your new beginning for your relationship" lightening up the tone in your voice
why he's being like that?
asking yourself because you expect that Hyunjin will talk again to you because this is such a great news to hear since in the first place this is what he wanted.
"y/n..meet me at the banquet tomorrow night" you're about to ask something from him but he walk out leaving you with those words
you just shrug and maybe will do it because the end for the both of you is near and this might be the last time you will be able to see him.
Heading to your own secret office and lock up yourself there, you are not going to stay at your original room with Hyunjin since you said to yourself that once the divorce has been approved you're not going to stay there anymore.
sitting on the couch near the fireplace inside the room a weird feeling came to you making you shiver
"does this really hurt that much?" asking yourself, once again no one will know about this for the mean time that's why as much as possible you want to isolate yourself.
Thinking deeply that Hyunjin already gave you a much closer that you wanted but there are things that you can't understand why he said that, you never want to ask more questions to him because he may get annoyed and that's the last thing you want to make him feel when you're both together
"the dance, those hugs, and the kiss..it's actually a good feeling for us to experience until the end, but as soon we did that..I know I'm falling even more." you sigh and decided for yourself to take a walk later on around the palace

"I thought there will be no activity todaaay since it's holiday season?" Seungmin frown saying that as they're all now again together
"you're dramatic Seungmin! the activity is just basically enjoy the winter event..is that what it calls? anyway just enjoy that event" Krystal roll her eyes and they all laugh
"let's all be together,shall we?" Felix ask them but many of them shook their head
"nope, I'm going to solo Victoria" -Seungmin
"eww" -Krystal
Y/n's couldn't help it once again but to look at Hyunjin who's now closely with Kim, they're smiling at one another.
Suddenly Hyunjin eyes landed on y/n, but he didn't smile or give any expression, just a blank one and look at Kim again
'that hurts' y/n thought
"how about you Kim?"-Felix ask
"I and Kim will go somewhere today" Hyunjin said making you feel like you've been stab on your chest
Felix doesn't have any choice but to let the others to their thing but you said to him that you and Minho will join them at the park for today making him feel happy again.
"see you all at dinner!" they all wave their hand and went to their separate ways
"where are going Hyunjin?" Kim who's now clinging on his arms ask as they're walking
"in my art gallery room" he looks at her to see her reaction shift from smiling to poker face
"you know Hyunjin, I do love your paintings really! but I think there are some other things we could do to enjoy right?" Kim said to him, she still feels like Hyunjin is still into her despite of their last argument.
He didn't say anything after that until they're now inside the room, asking Kim to sit on the couch and he sit as well facing her
"what's going on? is it about the divorce? is it already approve?" Kim ask excitedly, and Hyunjin just nodded
*silence...
Kim notice that Hyunjin tightly close his eyes and take a deep breath as the tension is kinda building up inside the room but she just set it aside.
"we're both together ever since a child..our grandparents are really closed, the elders see us as someone who can be together forever, I agree with that" he chuckle and Kim chuckle as well thinking that Hyunjin is being silly right now
"are you trying to propose right now?" she jokingly ask
"as time goes by..I grew fond of you, those past years we've been together has been great, I didn't regret any of it, we're both keeping eye to one another. " Hyunjin playing with his fingers while Kim decided to just listen to him while smiling
"I remembered how they keep on engraving to me, and maybe to you that we should not leave each other's side. I kept that promise until now, I let it revolve in my life the entire time even there are other people who wanted to be with me, I ended up pushing them away. That's how I stand to that promise" taking a deep breath again, Hyunjin look at her after pausing for a while
"but..those years with you, deep within me I finally realize that I did all of that because I don't want to disappoint any of you, even myself. I want to be honest with you right now" he hold Kim's hand and caress it gently
"you're really sweet right now" Kim teasing him
"We didn't exchange any I love you's to each other, we blindly thought without clearing to us what we do really have. Throughout the time we've been together I always felt pressure like I needed to be perfect for you, you didn't like my paintings that much, I even stop going to museums to please you" her mood shifted to hurt because of what he said
"you almost didn't even consider what I want, I felt like we're not growing together"-Hyunjin
"what are you saying?"-Kim
"If you can clearly remember, our grandparents told us that we just simply be with each other..but the people in our community made it confusing to us making us thought that we should be a couple" -Hyunjin
"I do wanted to be with you Hyunjin"-Kim
"no you're not..I know you, there's someone in your mind, and that's Leeknow right?" Hyunjin ask her, but she just lower her head
"I thought when I learned about that, It will hurt me so much..but I felt happy knowing that you have someone in mind you really wanted, that made me confused from time to time not until when I had my arrange marriage"-Hyunjin
"how did you know?"-Kim
"because I simply know you already..I wanted you and me to clear all these things we've just been directed with the thought of us" Hyunjin gently hold Kim's chin to make her look at him
"what do you want? I feel so bad for denying everything"-Kim
"it's no ones fault..I don't want us to be a couple, I didn't know when I felt about this. I want to be honest with myself and to you, I love my wife" Hyunjin said with a lower voice shaking his head because he felt shy yet relief at the same time but Kim is just shock
"really? this Hwang Hyunjin falling in love?" -Kim
"I know right?" he chuckle after saying that
"but Hyunjin..I--I do really love you and I care about you, but.." Kim couldn't express herself
"I know, you don't have to. What's important is we both understand our relationship right now, and I do want to do this with you because I wanted to clear all the things before I start again" Hyunjin said then sit beside Kim
"what about the divorce? I also talked to y/n when I learned about both of you spending time together that you're playing with her feelings.." Hyunjin simply flick her forehead
"I know that you're so spoiled in the first place, I'll do something about it but you should also explain that to her later on." Hyunjin and Kim hug each other after confessing all the things inside of them
"but you're both getting a divorce now"-Kim
"yeah.."
The door suddenly open while they're hugging one another
"oh..I'm sorry" y/n quickly close the door and walk fast away from the room
"that's y/n" Kim said to Hyunjin as soon they pull out from the hug
