Evangeline's pov:
I HAD A BIG MEET TONIGHT it was a few hours after the tourney game. And I I'm not nervous at all, I know I'm good at gymnastics, I'm a level nine for crying out loud, the highest level in the gym, alongside Ivy. Auriella and Leila are both level eights. Along with the rest of the team. And I'm gonna be the first one that makes it to level 10 at sixteen.
I leave out of geo with Ivy and we walk to our locker. Which is pretty close to Ben's , he said I get side tracked easily and he likes keeping an eye on me, which is ... odd. And Ivy's locker is two spaces away from mine.
Ivy opens her locker and maneuvers her backpack and kneels down and opens it "Uh, Ivy? Whatcha doing?" I question her walking away from my locker and see her putting another bunny into her locker , which she had me spell to be a bunny utopia , "I got another bunny!" She cheers with a wide smile, I giggle and walk back to my locker.
I look into my locker and spot so many pictures of all my friends and family. Selfies from our girl hangouts take over though, I have pictures of me and Holden alongside me and Ben. And a picture of my entire family and beignet in the splat center . I put my sage green tote bag into the bottom of my locker and grab my gym bag. I close my locker and turn to see a grinning Jay leaning on the lockers next to mine "Hi!" I say quickly with a smile, I can hear Ivy snicker behind me and I kick my foot back hitting her in her shin "I'll catch you Vy, okay?" I turn my head and she laughs and nods before walking away
"Hey , Eva. Are you ready for the game later?" He asked raising an eyebrow "Definitely, and you guys better make it worth standing in the hot sun for two hours, and my hair getting all frizzy." I replied placing a hand on my hip
Jay's eyes move from mine and land on my gym bag and he motions to it "What's this for?" He questioned "Oh I have a meet directly after the tourney game, so I won't have any time to come back and grab my stuff , so I'm just — taking it with me." I smiled leaning on the locker
I hear Mal exclaim Audrey's nickname for him 'Bennyboo' as she walked past us, I go to turn my head but Jay reaches for my head and pushes a few fly aways back.
"That great, I've been trying all those goody tooshoes nicks and tricks that fairy godmother been teaching us , so tonight should go well." Jay chuckled, and I giggle scrunching my nose , I look at Jay and he's wearing a large smile "What?" I ask with a giggle "Nothing that was — that was cute, your nose scrunching up like that." He said and another blush running across my face.
"Hey, I brought you some cookies from last night. Wanted to see if you wanted some or not." Jay waved a plastic bag of dark chocolate chip cookies, with what looks like crushed up Oreos. I never eat on meet days, if I eat and get bloated it makes it extra hard to fit into the leotard, and getting sick was a problem too. Tumbling full is not a fun party. I had a mango this morning to hold me off, because my friends say I get a little — uh — hangry is probably an understatement.
I really, really don't want to reject his offer because the way he's looking at me with his eyes , my flower those eyes. And those cookies look really good "Jay, I'm sorry, but I don't eat before a meet so — "
"No, no. I get it. Don't take anything from a villain. Especially food. Evil Queen, y'know?" Jay said with a sigh, putting on a frown. "No Jay! That's not it at all!" I promised
"You don't have to lie , Eva.. I understand. It's okay if you don't trust me. Well, more for me I guess. These Oreo cookies look really good." Jay raised his brows and took the cookie, moving it towards his lips. My eyes widened and i took the cookie out of Jay's hands and bit into the soft food.
"Hey, no! See, I totally trust you." I told him with a mouth full of cookie. I wiped at the corners of my mouth as I looked down at the cookie. "This is amazing." I hum taking another bite and I look into Jay's eyes . I take another bite, and this cookie is fantastic, "Jay, you're really handsome." And I bring the cookie to my lips for another bite
I spin in a happy circle before meeting eyes with Jay again "Jay, you should know you're really amazing. You're smart, really smart . You have great style, you're gorgeous. Which shouldn't be allowed, and your eyes, my gosh your eyes. They're like a perfect pool of milk chocolate, all warm and cozy." I don't know why I'm saying this stuff, but it's about time I did, I feel the exact same way like there wasn't a flip I just remembered my talk with Holden and
I go to take another bite of the cookie but Jay wisks it out of my hand "I think you've had enough of that." He said with a smile as he dropped the cookie into the bag "Aw, but it was really good." I whine looking at him adoringly "I'll make you another batch, okay? Just not right now." Jay smiled as Ben started singling Mal's Name
I turn around and Mal has her lips clamped against Ben's mouth , pushing him in our direction "Hi, Eva. Did Jay give you one of the cookies we made last night?" Mal raised a brow and I nod "Oh, yeah. It was really good, you guys should've added marshmallows." I suggest with a nod "They would've made them ten times sweeter, like Jay." I say playfully before laughing and turning to Jay
"I'll see you later , okay? Good luck!" I walk past him placing a kiss on his cheek.

ME AND MY FRIENDS ARE sitting in the second row of bleachers and after a very long and crucial game the Auradon knights had won the first Tourney game of the season all because of the teamwork of Carlos, Ben and Jay. And the defense from Holden and Kenneth. I was ecstatic, "We won! Jay won! Ben, Holden , and Kenneth won!" I exclaimed my hands clapping together infront of Leila's Ivy and Ella's faces as my hair swayed from side to side.
My crop top kept inching higher as I cheered with my hands above my head , as loud as I could . Jay looked my direction before throwing his helmet to the floor and running to the bleacher pushing people out the way, he got to me and smiled before wrapping his arms around my waist lifting me up in the air .
I let out a barrel of laughter as he spins me around "Your all sweaty and gross." I fake grimace , he rolls his eyes with a smile and I push a strand of his hair back "Go celebrate!" I exclaim playing patty cake with his chest, he leans down and places a kiss on my temple before smiling and running back to the group
I turn to my friends who all wear the same jaw dropped expression , "What?" I ask with a raised brow "You just — are you guys — that was so cute!" Ella stumbled over her words, I blush at the last part and look back onto the field
"Prince Ben has won it! What an unselfish play by Jay! What a team! Incredible! And it's the new guys, Jay and Carlos, who set up the prince for the win here. What a victory! An absolutely wonderful end to one of the best games ever. Here they come, folks. The winners of the first tourn -" Ben grabbed the mic from the announcer's hands and jumped on the pedestal to grab the audience's attention.
"Excuse me. Excuse me. Can I have your attention, please? There's something I'd like to say." The crowd quiets down to what with the future King had to say. "Give me an M!" Ben shouted and put his arms into an M figure above his head.
"M!" The crowd mimicked his actions as they shouted. "Give me an A!" Ben shouted, doing the A shape. "A!"
"Give me an L!" Ben shouted again, doing the L shape. As I put together the letters, I looked at Audrey with a smirk seeing her confused features. "L!"
"What does that spell?" Ben asked the crowd.
"Mal!"
"Come on, I can't hear you!" Ben shouted.
"Mal!" The crowd shouted louder,
everyone turning to grin at the purple haired girl in the bleachers. I grinned widely.
"I love you, Mal! Did I mention that?" Ben said into the mic. Audrey screamed and stomped off the field, Rosalie laughing aloud. "Give me a beat!" Ben yelled as he pointed to the band
"Uno, dos, tres, quatro!"

TOWARDS THE END OF THE SONG I TOLD my friends to follow me and we walked further up the bleacher and stood in front of Mal, Evie, and Gia.
Ben surfed the crowd as he made his way towards Mal. Once he got to her, he smiled. "And I would give my kingdom for just one kiss. Come on, now!" Ben hugged Mal and although she looked a tad uncomfortable, she had a smile plastered on her face. "I love you, Mal! Did I mention that?" Ben finished as he held her.
"Chad's my boyfriend now!" Audrey
grabbed the mic out of Ben's hands to announce it. "And I'm going to the coronation with him.
So I don't need your pity date." She then turned to Chad and placed a big kiss onto his lips.
Ben grabbed the mic back from Audrey and looked at Mal. "Mal! Will you go to the coronation with me?"
Out of the corner of my eye I see Jay slowly approaching and I make room on the bench for him, he squeezes his body through and wraps a hand around my waist letting it rest there. We share bright smiles before turning to Mal awaiting her answer to Ben's question'
Mal pulled Ben's hand closer so she could speak into the mic. "Yes!"
"She said yes!" Ben cheered. Everyone around us cheered as well and I covered my ears. Audrey ran away with Chad following her. I looked at Jay and he placed a kiss on my cheek and ran with the team alongside Ben
I turn to Evie seeing the hurt look on her face "I honestly feel sorry for Audrey." I sighed placing both hands on my hips looking out in the crowd "You do?"
"Yeah." Mal nodded, joining in. "I feel like if she were talented like you, and she knew how to sew and knew beauty tips, that she wouldn't need a prince to make her feel better about herself." Mal finished with a smile
"I guess I am kind of talented." Evie said sheepishly.
"You are definitely gifted." Gia told her friend with a warm smile "And your style is amazing, the leather and preppy? Chefs kiss" Ivy smiled as she kissed her finger in the air and smiling at Evie "And you're so smart, the nerds should be jealous" Leila added with a smile "And your talent? I wish I could sew in my sleep, and I can do a lot." Ella smiled "Thanks, guys." Evie thanked all of us "Of course." Leila smiled at her "We're your friends now to, whether you like it or not." She smirked.
"Hey, Eva. Do you and your friend want to come back to the dorms with us?" Mal asked just as Leila tapped my arm "Actually, we have a meet. But we can stop by after, if that's alright?" I ask and they both nod .
I go to walk out the bleachers and hear Jay cheer "And there he is. Jay, the most valuable player. How do you like that?" The announcer called out and I cheer "Alright , Lover girl." Leila laughed grabbing my wrist yanking me out the bleachers "Were already late we have to get ready on the bus!" Ivy exclaimed as we ran and I looked back at Jay and gave him a thumbs up, and I watch the smile bloom on his face.
