christmas special; Arabella and the autobots are invited to spend christmas with the brunette witch's family to experience the bots first magical holiday experience
Arabella was holding her luggage which was also her magical suitcase as well, wearing winter clothing. Winter was already here in Jasper Nevada, the once hot sandy town was a complete winter fest.
The Autobots knew about winter but didn't enjoy it due to past experience and the mission when Arcee and Optimus got stuck at the Arctic. Jack's mother had a triple shift at the hospital, Raf's parents were overseas and Miko wanted to spend her holidays with the bots.
Arabella first suggested going to her parent's place since she originally planned to visit them, along with Fowler. She sent a letter to her parents, telling them that she would be bringing extra guests for Christmas which thankfully they were fine with it, happy to meet their daughter's friends in America.
Arabella could see the excitement rushing out of Miko, the kids were wearing winter clothing as Arabella requested, even the bots were wearing winter wear, much to their curiosity.
Everyone had their own luggage, thanks to Fowler buying the bots their own bags though the bots didn't have much to bring besides a few things. The Autobots were experimenting with new software for their holoforms. Which, in theory, would allow them to feel and have the appearance of humans.
Arabella and Fowler looked at everyone, "Well, we should go now. Follow me, please." She silently leads them towards a... giant metal ball? Sitting in the middle of the base, was a lobbing ball.
Wheeljack watched her touch it, "Forgive me, little femme, but uh... why are you touching that the lob ball?". She grinned, "It's a portkey." Fowler walked up and put his hand on it.
"A what now!?"
She sighed as everyone stood there, "Look it will make sense in a minute, everyone please just put your hands on it."
The bots, Miko, Raf, and Jack moved slowly and stood around the ball. "Now what?" Ratchet asked he was squished between Optimus and Bulkhead. There were a lot of people around the giant metal ball.
"Hang on." Before anyone could question her, the stove lifted off the ground and shot up into the air... taking all of them with it. Everyone clung to the combined ball of metal for dear life as they spun around and went higher into the air.
"I~I'm gonna be sick!" Jack yelled.
Looking down, they noticed bolts of lightning appear from where the stove was on the ground. The land folded itself into the spot. A bright light exploded from the ground, and they were now twirling through a white void.
Bumblebee was breathing heavily as he spun in circles with everyone else, 'What's happening!'
" We have to let go soon!" Arabella shouted, making sure that Raf was close by her when they let go of the portkey, she didn't want the boy to get hurt.
Everyone heard her even though most were screaming. ::What? Let go!?:: Bumblebee beeped loudly, no way was he letting go.
"A few more seconds everyone... and... now! Let go!"
Everyone looked at her like she was crazy, Optimus included, "WHAT!?"
"Let go! Now!" They watched her, Fowler, and Raf let go of the oven and disappear into a white void above them. One, by one, they let go. Bulkhead screamed and covered his face as he disappeared.
Optimus closed his eyes and let go, he slammed into a few people before he landed on the ground with a hard thud. The snow flew everywhere as the rest of the bots fell around him, all of them were in just as much pain. Looking left, he saw Fowler and Arabella who were holding Raf securely, gracefully 'walk' onto the ground.
"Sorry. It takes a few tries before you can land like this." Eventually, everyone got on their feet, besides Jack who was throwing up a bit, Arabella did a quick check.
" Took me many tries for my stomach to get used to the portkey " Fowler shivered when he first did it, he was sick for many days.
The autobots shivered as their holoforms briefly flickered. Their scanners were going haywire as their global positioning lost track of their positions. Their only connection with this place was due to their holoforms being tethered to their sparks.
"Okay, everyone is accounted for. Sorry if the portkey made you sick, but it's far better than apparating. And I can't risk one of you getting lost in the flu powder network." Nobody knew what she was talking about, but they were scared that there was something worse than that.
Ratchet clutched his head, "Next time... please give us a warning." he was in slight pain and cold, not a good combination.
"Would you have listened even if I did?"
Ratchet grumbled a bit, still feeling the effects. "So... that's a portkey?" Optimus asked.
"Mhm, It's an object enchanted to teleport you to a set location... in simplified terms."
"But why the lob ball?" Jack asked, it was such a random item.
"I choose something I knew nobody would touch. I used the ball since it was big enough for the number of people I was bringing." She turned away and started walking, "Okay... this way everyone!" The bots took in their surroundings and immediately realized where they were.
"W~were actually in London!?" Bulkhead asked as he saw the lush countryside in the distance. It was daytime as well, 'We traveled across the planet in a few seconds?!' As the leader of the Autobots, he as seen many things, but what Arabella has shown him so far tops all of it.
Soon they were walking on the snow-covered gravel path, which Optimus was walking along with the young brunette witch" You guys alright, hope the travel wasn't too bad " she looked at Optimus.
As the witch was focused on the path ahead, she failed to notice Optimus looking at her.
The bots couldn't help but admire the house in the English country side under a blanket of fresh snow, what further amazed the family was the griffins flying or resting around the land.
Fowler and Arabella couldn't help but express how happy they were to be back, more so for Fowler to meet up with his little sister, Allison. He remembered the first time when he became godfather/uncle to his niece, he was thrilled and thankful for being given such an important role.
Even though he was a squib, Orcus and his family welcomed him, which made Fowler happy that his sister found a good man for her.
" Wow is this your home Bella?! " Miko was awed, everyone else behind them had the same expression of shock and excitement.
It was a large cottage that had a huge wooden barn at the back fields, a stoned path that led to the front entrance and the whole land was surrounded by a wooden fence. The roof and the trees were decorated with enchanting Christmas lights that glowed in the misty, winter atmosphere.
" It's my grandparent's place actually, my family owns a griffin farm so it's been in the family for a long time. " Arabella explained, as some of the griffins recognized her as they pranced towards the Hufflepuff witch, as their beaks gently nipped her hair enticing a giggle from her.
Soon Arabella spotted a sandy-haired male opening the front door, and beside him a woman with a tan complexion and curly dark hair.
" Mum, Dad! " Arabella ran up to them giving them a big hug, missing her parent's warmth as her parents hugged her back with the same happiness.
" I've missed you too," her dad said, still hugging his daughter, Fowler went to approach his sister and hugged her, the first time seeing his expression soften as they greeted each other.
The Autobots and their charges stood back as they watched the wholesome reunion, bringing a soft smile to their faces. Arabella's parents noticed the group standing there in the cold, " These are your friends that you talk about " Alison, Arabella's mother said as all the attention was on them.
Orcus, her father went to approach the Autobots first, " I'm Orcus Scamander, Arabella's father. Nice to meet my daughter's friends " which Optimus shook a friendly handshake.
" It's an honour " Optimus replied which Orcus nodded and greeted everyone else.
" Please do come in, must be freezing out here, " Arabella's mother said, holding up her wolly shawl.
Everyone huddled in the cottage, once inside they were once again flabbergasted over the interior. It was massive inside, a big fireplace blazing spreading warmth inside the home. It has such a rustic yet homely vibe with a smell of gingerbread and cinnamon wafting in the air.
It was truly Christmas here and for the Autobots, it was just the start of it.
