Wishing for yesterday
With one foot in the present
Where I cannot stay
Because it is moving
Too fast for my mind
And it's as bitter
As a bitten down rind
The fruit doesn't fall
Far from the tree
But I stretch on
Into eternity
It's short and I wrote it at like 1 am but I liked it so 🤷
