It was Christmas eve, you were sadly looking out the window as you observed the ashy green grass on the ground outside. Christmas was tomorrow but there wasn't any snow covering the land yet.
"Y/N? What're you doing?"
Your boyfriend, Jay, walked up from behind you as you sat on the couch, you looked at the male, a frown upon your face
"I really wanted a white Christmas this year, but seeing how the weather is right now, I doubt Seoul will be having any snow this December" you sigh, you leaned your head against the cold window as you crossed your arms. Jay looked at your sad expression with worry as he sat beside you, this was your first Christmas with him, not only that but tomorrow also stated the day you and Jay had gotten together, your guy's first anniversary.
"It's okay Y/N, I'm sure your wish will come true" Jay says, pulling you into a hug in attempt to comfort you
You smiled at his action. You quickly hug him back, looking up at him so you could see his face
"You know what, you're right, as long as you're with me I'd be happy with whatever" you say, a grin appearing on your face. Jay mirrors your expression, he hugs you tighter, kissing you on the head before letting go
"Well sadly I won't be able to grant you that either, I'll be heading out now, call me if you need anything okay?" Jay says, getting up from the couch as he made his way to the front door.
You nodded your head at the male, following him from behind as you watched his actions. Jay, being the CEO of a major company, had been called into work a few minutes ago and was told it was urgent, Jay didn't want to leave you alone at first, especially since it was Christmas eve, but after a few minutes of you convincing him, he finally gave in and got ready to head to his company
"What time should you be home by?" you ask. Jay takes in a deep sigh as he shrugs
"I have no idea, but by hearing how urgently my company called me, I'm guessing 4-5 hours??" Jay estimates
"Oh..so you'll be back tomorrow then?" you confirm, you glanced at the small clock you guys had on a table close to the door. The clock had the numbers 9:34 across it, the aesthetic colors fitting right in with the house. Jay shrugs one last time as he looked back at you, he pulls you into a hug before making eye contact
"Most likely I'll be back around 1 am, I'll keep you updated though, Merry Christmas love" Jay smiles at you, his eyes relaxed as he deepens his eye contact with you
"Merry Christmas Jay, be safe okay?" you say, Jay nods in response, he bends down to give you one more kiss before letting go, exiting out the front door after waving you good bye.
You now stood by yourself in front of the door. Taking a deep breath you make your way back into the living room, looking at the same window you were looking at before
"Mind as well make the most of this Christmas eve" you sigh, you then make your way to the kitchen, having the idea to make cookies and hot chocolate for yourself and for when Jay got back home.
A few hours pass, it's now 11:46, a few minutes away from Christmas. Jay has yet to say anything about what he was up to and it low-key worried you, but you thought nothing much about it, his work did require a lot of attention after all.
You continued to sip your hot chocolate as you kept your eyes outside the window. To pass the time after you finished baking, you decided to put on some music in the background to help make time go by even faster when you looked out the window, praying silently that a speck of snow would just fall on your window.
"All I want for Christmas is you~" you hummed with the song playing as you tapped your coffee mug.
*ding dong*
The sound of your doorbell rang around your house. You look away from the window as you turned your head toward the front door, you weren't expecting any visitors. After setting your coffee cup on the coffee table, you get up and make your way to the front door once again, you unlock the door, opening it to see a mailman carrying a box
"Uhm, Y/N L/N?" the mailman says, peaking from behind the box he was holding
"Yes?" you say, an eyebrow raised in confusion
"This package is for you" the mailman says, he softly sets the box down next to your door, grabbing a clipboard from his bag as he gave it to you
"Please sign here" he adds, you grab the pen on the clipboard hesitantly, signing your name on the spot he had told you to write on as you were basically confused with what was happening
"Alright then, have a nice night Ms. Y/N, Merry Christmas" the mailman says, he does a salute with the cap he had on, turning around and leaving right away after his good bye.
You stand still, dumbfounded with what was happening, you were beyond confused at this point. You shake your head, attempting to keep your head out of the clouds. You take a glance at the box, debating if you should take it or not, you take a deep breath in, deciding to just grab the box that was resting again the wall as you quickly brought it inside. You close the front door tightly before locking it up securely.
"I wonder what this is" you mumble, referring to the package you'd gotten. You bring the box back to the living room. You take off the slippers you were wearing before sitting down on the couch. You then put the box on the ground after getting comfortable, moving a few pillows on the couch so you could move freely. As you began to process what was happening, you start looking around the room, hoping there could be something you could use to help you open the package you had. You quickly spot a pair of scissors in a clear bowl on your coffee table as you smiled at it, you grab the object, using it to open the package you had received
After opening the box, you were surprised to see lots of mini paper snowflakes and white stars in it, it was filled up to the top. On top of the white papers laid a letter, the words 'To My One And Only' written across it.
You reach out for the letter, moving your thumb above the written words labeled on the paper. You open the letter, carefully tearing the envelope before taking out a piece of paper. You unfold the paper, quickly spotting your name at the top.

Are you doing well love?
Jay.
I hope this package came on time, I had to make sure everything was planned perfectly, haha. Anyways, how has your night been? I hope it wasn't too boring with me gone, and yes if you're wondering, I did just write this letter before sending you this box. You love surprises so I thought I'd do this for you. This letter might be lengthly but just hang on there, it'll be worth it in the end! As you remember I left for work a couple hours ago, I wasn't doing anything much, but, if I'm being honest, I thought of you most of the time, I missed you a lot :( In the end, I know coming home to you after a long night of work will always recharge my energy, no matter how long I've been working. And on top of that, you always give me a kiss, the best thing I could ask for!
You let out a laugh, oh was he adorable...
Could you believe that we've been together for a year already? I still can't believe how I was able to get a wonderful girl like you, what did I deserve to get this?? Honestly, I could go on and on about how much you've affected me greatly, the reason being both positive and negative but I'm not complaining ;D
You roll your eyes, even though the male wasn't here with you physically, you could hear him speaking this words, whether you liked it or not
Oh no! D: It seems like the time in this letter has come to an end, so if my calculations are correct, you've finished reading this letter around 11:57 and have gotten cozy on the sofa (I'm not creepy I swear, I just know how fast you read!)
A snort escaped your mouth, well ain't that hilarious
Anyways, if what I said was done correctly, my surprise is done and has been finished being set up, so Y/N, my princess, look outside!

You turn your head toward the window once again, following what the letter had said to do, and as you did so, you were met with a few specks of snow flowing down outside your window, the streetlights shining against them.
"It's snow!" you exclaim, you get closer to the window as you watched a specific snow flake drizzle down your window, you follow the way it moved down, watching it slowly disappear. As the snowflake finally melted you look down at the sidewalks, you see a small figure looking up at you, their hand waving aggressively as it seemed like they were trying to get your attention. It was Jay.
You grinned widely at him, you quickly grab a jacket off a hanger in the closet next to the front door, putting it on hastily before exiting the door. You go down the stairs of your apartment building, quickly doing so, so you could meet the male outside. After exiting the building, you run straight toward Jay, opening your arms wide so you could hug him
"Jay!!" you yell, Jay engulfs you into a hug as he breaths in your scent. He missed you more than you could imagine
"I missed you so much~" Jay cooes, cuffing your face in between his hands. A puff of smoke escapes your mouth as you let out a laugh
"I did too" you reply, your arms resting beside you. Jay grins, he looks up as he took in a deep sniff of the air
"Do you like my surprise?" He asks, looking back down at you. You look at the snow falling down, taking out a hand so it could fall into the palms of the hand
"Hmmm, I love it! But how were you able to get snow?? I know this isn't natural" you joke, wrapping your arms around the male once again. Jay presses his lips together, laughing at your true statement
"You're correct, it's not natural haha, it's a snow machine I made, I've been working on it for the past couple weeks" Jay replies. You nod your head at his answer
"Wait, you made it?" you question. Jay nods
"Yep, and just for you" Jay says, a smile on his face. You shake your head at him, you then pinch his cheek, hugging him tightly before answering a muffled reply
"Thank you Jay, I love it" you say, Jay hugs you back, holding onto you as he laughed
"All for you princess" he whispers. You guys continue to stay in place for a few more seconds before Jay started to shuffle around, you looked at him confused as you were wondering what he was doing
"Hey Y/N, do you know what I think I could get as a Christmas gift? Jay says, you raise an eyebrow
"What?" you question, Jay smiles as he bends down,
"A kiss" he answers, you snort. You give an eye roll as you backed away
"Tomorrow, after we wake up to open presents" you say, Jay starts pouting as he begins to pucker his lips
"Pretty please~" he cooes, you shake your head
"Not now, not outside" you sigh. Jay smiles mischievously, he quickly lifts up his hand, a small jingle following his movement
"But theres a mistletoe above us, you wouldn't break a christmas tradition just because we're outside" Jay says. You look up at his raised hand, and as he had said, there was a mistletoe in between his fingers, a small bell hanging on the side as it jingled softly. You scoff at the male, what a sly cat
"Well well well Jay, I guess you found a way" you scoff, Jay smiles, he nods his head as he begins to pucker his lips again
"Kiss??" he says, drawing his face nearer to yours. You roll your eyes once more before leaning in
"You're lucky I love you" you say. You then go on to press your lips against his as you held onto his collar, you could feel him smile into the kiss, pulling you closer as he had the hand that wasn't holding the mistletoe, wrap around your waist. You let go of the kiss, a small laugh escaping your mouth ad you did so, Jay laughs cutely before answering your comment from earlier
"And you're lucky I cherish you, I love you Y/N" He says, a smile lingering on his face.
