i felt the couch shift and looked up seeing him leave.
" ride wit me twin " Rae stood up motioning for me to follow her
I paused the youtube video getting up and following her to her car, not saying anything
" where we going " I finally asked

We finally reached whoever's house we were going to
I looked out the window seeing a bunch of people on the porch smoking blunts or just standing around talking
" You said some people, this a whole lotta people " I said knowing my social battery was gonna run out quick
" My bad I didn't know it was this many people, I don't even know half of em " she said hopping out the car
I sighed hopping out the car following her towards the house
" Yoo " she said dapping these two guys that were leaning on a car
I felt them look at me while we walked past but didn't look back at them
I grabbed her arm keeping her close to me as we walked through the people and reached the stairs
We stopped at this group of people that were sitting on the porch
" Rae since when you had a girl? " One of the guys asked
" This my friend Raii don't be messing wit her Meech " She gave him a stern look
" Girl your so pretty " I looked to the side seeing one of the girls that were arguing over koby on insta smiling at me
I smiled back " thank you "
" Damn Scoob why you staring at her so hard fa " Rae asked this darkskin with a buzz
" mtch I wasn't even lookin at her tha hard, you exaggeratin " He said taking a sip of whatever was in his cup
" Nah I peeped, you def was staring mad hard " the boy named Meech pitched in

A car that I recognized to be Kobys sped through the street and parked behind Rae's car
" My mannn here " I watched the girl that called me pretty squeal
" that nigga not worried about you " Meech said as we all watched Koby and Kyree hop out the car
They walked up here dapping everyone up. I peeped that Koby and Scoob mugged eachother
Kyree hugged me while Koby just stared at me and stood next to me
I felt the girl from earlier mugging me but I ignored it
" Get up so she could sit, where ya manners at" I heard someone say next to me
I looked in the direction of the voice seeing Scoob making some boy next to him stand up. He pointed at me and pointed towards the seat signaling that I sit down

I was about to walk over there till I felt my arm get pulled. I faced Koby seeing him make a face
I took his hand off my arm going to sit down next to Scoob
The girl took that as her chance to stand next to Koby and started giggling and touching on him while he mugged me
I guess everyone else felt the tension since it got mad quiet
" Saraii ! " I heard a small voice yell my name
I turned my head towards the voice seeing James, my neighbors son run towards me with a football in his hand and some kids behind him
" Hi James " I smiled getting up and walking towards him
" Hi will you play with me and my friends " He asked
" You know I can't say no " He grabbed my hand guiding me to where him and his friends were playing
" Okay all you have to do is throw the ball to us and we'll catch it " He told me handing me the football
" ok " I nodded my head listening to him
I got ready to throw the ball as they backed up far enough. The kids that i've played with before went far back already knowing I could throw
" Ain't no way she throwing that far " I heard someone say
I threw the football watching it soar and spin before one of the kids jumped high enough catching it
" Throw it back " I yelled towards them watching them argue over who was gonna throw it. They finally chose someone to throw it and I ran toward it seeing that it wasn't going to reach me.
" You throw just like ya daddy " My cousin named Meek said walking towards me with his baby in his arms
I shook my head laughing a little side hugging him " He's the one who taught me"
I grabbed his daughter Kyla playing with her cheeks. Most of our family always said that she looked like me since me and her mom had similar features
Meek walked away saying hi to his friends or wtv and I looked around
" I'm done playing guys " I told the kids watching them groan
" Sorryyy " I said before walking back towards the porch
" There's a lot of shit I didn't know about " Kyree said once I sat down
" What do you mean " I said confused
" Since when you could play football? -And When you got pregnant and had a kid? " Rae and Kyree asked at the same time
" I've always known how to play neither one of you ever asked, and this my mini me her name kyla " I answered their questions
" Stop claiming my child as yours, she'on even like you like dat " Meek spoke walking up the steps
"Yes she does stop lying " I said rolling my eyes
" anyways I was just playing this my cousin kid but everyone say she look like me so that's my mini me for real "

I stood up with the baby in my hands trying to get away from them knowing they were gonna start fighting
" Where you going ma " Scoob asked noticing I was moving away from them
" Don't worry about where she goin nigga" Koby said putting his arm out letting me go past him and down the steps
" Koby bra your not like tha my nigga, we both kno this " Scoob laughed
" Ion kno shit nigga, you tha one that be having niggas fight for you knowin that you gone switch up on em when shit gets real " Koby said pusjing Scoobs head back
I shook my head " Can you guys not fight in front of the baby "
" nigga jus be talking he not onnat wit me " Koby said walking towards me
" We could get it in righ now fuck you talkin bout " Scoob said walking off the porch and into the street
" Lemme see her, we gon dip before shit pops off, you good? " Meek said taking Kyla from me
" I'm good i'm just confused on why they don't like each other " I said truthfully
" Shit me too, I thought they was best friends " He said before saying by and walking away towards his car
I brought my attention back to Koby and Scoob seeing them both in the street about to start fighting
" Can yall chill? Yous was just best friends, dap each other up and end this shit " Kyree spoke while heading towards them
" That best friend shit ended a long time ago " Scoob said putting his guard up
Koby put his guard up a second later punching the shit out of Scoob making me flinch
They began going at it and the people around were either recording and hyping it up or simply standing there and watching
this is so ghetto
I walked towards the two trying to break up the fight but ended up getting punched in the eye by Scoob
" Oh shit" I heard Rae say as she ran up to me. I took a step back almost falling but she caught me
" You good? " She asked me
I nodded holding my eye, feeling tears run down my face
She hugged me while I cried
" Saraii " We heard Koby call my name from behind me making us let go of the hug and look at him
" Damnn he got ya ass good " He laughed looking at my eye
I mugged him " It's not funny "
He wrapped his arm around my shoulder " I'm jus playin, it don't look that bad it's just a lil purple " He brought his phone camera to my face showing me
" This would've never happened if you guys weren't fighting" I said feeling myself get mad
" It was bound ta happen for real " He said bluntly
" Why do you guys not like each other " I asked looking up at him
" Long story " He said not answering the question at all
