"Worthy." An unfamiliar voice spoke making them all turn around to face a robot that they had never seen before, "No. How could you be worthy? You're all killers."
"Stark." Steve said looking at Tony.
"Jarvis." Tony sighed.
"I'm sorry, I was asleep." The robot apologised, or I was a dream. There was this terrible noise. And I was tangled in...strings. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy."
"You killed someone?" Steve questioned.
"Wouldn't have been my first call. But, down in the real world, we're faced with ugly choices."
"Who sent you?" Thor asked.
"I see a suit of armour around the world." The robot answered.
"Ultron." Bruce said in realisation.
"In the flesh. Or, no, not yet. Not this chrysalis. But I'm ready." Ultron spoke as Jessica loaded her gun behind her back, "I'm on mission."
"What mission?" Nat questioned.
"Peace in our time." Ultron answered before robots blasted through the walls, Jessica instantly started to shoot at the robots as Steve kicked the coffee table into some other robots.
Jessica suddenly flew backwards as Ultron sent a blast her way, Jessica groaned as she landed with a thud.
Jessica quickly stood up and ran towards a robot, jumping on the robots back she grabbed his neck breaking his head off his body before another robot blasted her.
Jessica quickly grabbed her gun and started shooting at multiple robots dodging the shoots they threw at her.
Jessica looked to her right when she spotted something shining in the corner of her eye, Steve's Shield.
Jessica quickly ran to pick it up when she noticed Steve looking for it, "Cap!" Jessica called out making Steve turn around, "Catch." Jessica yelled as she threw the shield to Steve allowing him to throw it at the last robot leaning only Ultron standing.
"That was dramatic. I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through." Ultron spoke slowly as Jessica breathed heavily, "you want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to evolve?" Ultron asked rhetorically before picking up a robot, "with these? These puppets. There's only one path to peace. The Avengers extinction." Thor shook his head before throwing his hammer at Ultron making him break into pieces, "I had strings, but now I'm free." Ultron mumbled one last time before shutting down.

"All our work is gone." Bruce said in disbelief as they all gathered around the now destroyed robot, "Ultron cleared out. He used the internet as an escape hatch."
"Ultron." Steve mumbled.
"He's been in everything, files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other." Nat stated.
"He's in your files, he's in the internet." Rhodey added, "what if he decides to access something a little more exciting?"
"Nuclear codes." Maria nodded.
"Nuclear codes." Rhodey confirmed, "look, we need to make some calls. Assuming we still can."
"Nukes? He said he wanted us dead." Nat scoffed.
"He didn't say "dead". He said "extinct"." Jessica mentioned.
"He also said he killed somebody." Clint added.
"There wasn't anyone else in the building." Maria said.
"Yes, there was." Tony admitted.
"Jarvis." Jessica said in realisation.
"This is insane." Bruce mumbled.
"Jarvis was the first line of defense." Steve spoke, "he would've shut Ultron down. It makes sense."
"No." Bruce shook his head, "Ultron could have assimilated Jarvis. This isn't strategy. This is rage." Bruce realised before Thor stormed in grabbing Tony in a chokehold.
"Woah, woah, woah." Steve yelled standing up quickly.
"It's going around." Clint mumbled.
"Come on. Use your words, buddy." Tony choked out.
"I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark." Thor said aggressively.
"Thor! The Legionnaire." Steve gained Thors attention making him let go of Tony.
"Trail went cold about 100 miles out, but it's headed north. And it has the spectre." Thor spoke, "now we have to retrieve it, again."
"Genies out of that bottle." Nat rolled her eyes, "clear and present is Ultron."
"I don't understand." Dr. Cho said as she admired Ultron, "you built this program. Why is it trying to kill us?" Tony chuckled.
"You think this is funny?" Thor questioned.
"No." Tony shook his head, "it's probably not, right?"
"Definitely not funny, Stark." Jessica replied her arms folded.
"That wasn't a question, Murphy." Tony retorted, "this is very terrible. Is it so..." Tony cut himself off as he began to laugh again, "is it so, it's so terrible."
"This could've been avoided if you hadn't played with something you don't understand." Thor said deeply.
"No, I'm sorry. It is funny. It's a hoot that you don't get why we need this." Tony stated.
"Tony, maybe this might not be the time." Bruce warned.
"Really? That's it? You just roll over, show your belly every time somebody snarls?" Tony asked.
"Only when I've created a murder bot." Bruce slightly shouted.
"We didn't. We weren't even close." Tony shrugged, "were we close to an interface?"
"Well, you did something right. And you did it right here." Steve chimed in, "the avengers were supposed to be different than shield."
"Anybody remember when I carried a nuke through a wormhole?" Tony questioned.
"No, it's never come up." Rhodey said shaking his head.
"Saved New York?" Tony asked.
"Never heard that." Jessica said rolling her eyes.
"Recall that? A hostile alien army came charging through a hole in space. We're standing 300 feet below it. We're the Avengers. We can bust arms dealers all the livelong day, but that up there, that's...that's the endgame. How are you guys planning on beating them?" Tony asked.
"Together." Steve answered simply.
"We'll lose." Tony stated.
"Then we'll do that together, too." Steve shrugged, "Thor's right. Ultron's calling us out. And I'd like to find him before he's ready for us. The worlds a big place. Let's start making it smaller."
