After Nami allowed her crew mates to save Hachi, Luffy sent out a Gum-Gum Pistol to wrap his arms around the stolen mermaid. "You leave them alone!" Luffy yelled at the men holding Camie before retracting himself towards the mermaid and starfish, successfully grabbing the two. His momentum propelled him in the air allowing Luffy jumped off the cage Hachi was in and land on the village shore. Camie and Pappag thanked the captain as he turned to Hachi. "Yeah. I got them, octopus."
"Thank you, Straw Hat! You have my most sincere gratitude for saving little Camie! I owe you one!!" Hachi yelled back with tears in his eyes.
"HEY!! Cut up the octopus' cage and untie him, Zoro!!" Luffy ordered his swordsman.
"Right!" Zoro yelled back before looking at the (h/c) haired woman next to him. "Can I count on you to untie him?"
"With pleasure." (Y/N) smiled up at her swordsman.
"Be careful, Straw Hat! The trap is still set!!" Hachin yelled out for all to hear. "The Flying Fish Riders have got you surrounded! They'll take you down any way they can! Don't let your guard down!!" (Y/N) placed her hands on her the handles of the blades, alerting herself to the area around her once more. 'They can come from the sky or sea, I have to be prepared for anything.'
(Y/N) was broken from her thoughts as she heard her captain's yells. "LISTEN UP, YOU GUYS!!" (Y/N) smirked up at her captain, ready for new orders. "TIME! TO! FIGHTTT!!"
"YEAHH!!" The Straw Hats cheered for their captain's orders.
(Y/N) felt the ocean stir beneath the Sunny as Usopp yelled out. "Guys! They're here!!"
"Right!" Heavy Point Chopper, Zoro, Sanji and (Y/N) yelled back as they prepared for combat. Flying fish dove out of the ocean, flying circles around the Thousand Sunny.
(Y/N) watched Luffy pull himself on one of the flying fish, knocking off the rider. Her captain jumped in the seat to steer the flying fish. "Look guys!" Luffy flew over head his crew. "I'm flying!!"
"This is bad! What if he falls?!" Chopper yelled in shocked fear.
Sanji brushed off his doctor's worries as (Y/N) spoke up. "I'll just fly up in catch him..." Chopper sighed in relief before (Y/N) continued. "Or I could just let him drown."
"(Y/N)!!" Chopper pleaded with tears in his eyes making (Y/N) evilly giggle. Her laughters were cut short when Usopp and Nami yelled that bombs were falling towards the Sunny.
Sanji quickly hopped on the upper deck's railing. The cook positioned himself upside down on one hand, quickly spinning around to kick all of the bombs away from the Sunny and into the ocean. "Nami~swan! Robin~dear! (Y/N)~love! Did you see my moves back there?" Sanji called out to the women below him before jumping down to the grass deck.
"Draw the sails! They're get in the way!" Nami yelled to up to the three still on the upper deck. Quickly (Y/N) and Chopper ran to hoist up Sunny's main mast sails while Brook and Frank hoisted up the foremast sails.
Soon after the Flying Fish Riders dove back into the ocean. (Y/N)'s quickly turned to to see the flying fish that Luffy was on, following the formation. Without hesitation, Chopper and Brook dove in after their captain. Franky and (Y/N) ran to the back of the ship to see their devil friend crew mate's foolishness. "Oh come on!!" Franky irritatedly yelled at the situation.
"I got 'em." (Y/N) dove in after them, making Franky reach out for her. Sadly, the cyborg was inches too far. "OH SHIT I FORGOT!!" (Y/N) screamed as she hit the ocean. The woman struggled to hold her breath and soon felt water flood into her lungs, falling into unconsciousness.
Spraying water out of her mouth, (Y/N) woke up from Franky's yelling. "We're having a damn fight here! Don't screw around!!"
"Sorry." Luffy said with exhaustion in his voice. (Y/N) tilted her head to her right to see her captain spraying water out of his mouth.
Franky huffed before irritatedly glaring up at the (Y/N). "And you three are even worse! What the hell did you think was gonna happen?! You have devil fruit powers!"
"I.. was just trying to help." The little reindeer next to (Y/N) spoke up with tears in his eyes. (Y/N) turned to her left to see Chopper, Nami and Brook. The skeleton huffed a bit before adding in. "I'm sorry to have caused you so much trouble, friends."
Nami caught her breath before glaring down (Y/N) making the woman shiver in fear. "And you! You saw them jump in and followed afterwards!! What were you thinking?!"
"Sorry... I wanted to help." (Y/N) sheepishly replied, coughing up more water.
Nami irritatedly huffed before continuing. "In the future. How about.. when we're in the middle of a big dangerous fight, you don't try to drown yourselves in the ocean okay?!" Nami slapped the skeleton next to her. "Geez! I should have let you guys sink!"
(Y/N) shot up when she heard Camie yelling for help followed by Hachi crying out for his friends. "Oh yeah. The Macro gang." (Y/N) saw her swordsman leap towards Hachi's cage. Following Zoro's footsteps, (Y/N) sonic boomed to Hachi's aid.
Once Zoro sliced the cage open, (Y/N) took out her right sickle to cut the ropes wrapping around Hachi. The fishman excitedly raised his six arms to the sky, cheering with laughter. "I thought I was going to be in there forever! Thanks! I know we have some bad blood between us, but you're a great guy. Roronoa!" (Y/N) followed Hachi's gaze to see Zoro crouching on the top of the cage above her.
"Sure. I was just following orders." Zoro smirked down at (Y/N). "You should be thanking her for getting you out of those ropes."
Hachi looked over at the woman next to him, hovering over the water. "AHH HOW ARE YOU FLYING?!"
"I'll explain later, but I'm sure your assumption is right." (Y/N) smirked at the fishman before switching her gaze to Camie and Pappag in front of them. "I think we have more important things to worry about right now."
The three fishmen in front of Camie slowly turning around. "Huh! Wait!!"
Hachi turned his attention to the fishmen, angrily yelling at them. "You bunch of cowards! You used me like a punching bag while I was tied up!! Do you really think I'm gonna let that slide?!"
"Uh... you want another taste of my fishman karate?! Fine! You don't scare me!" One of the fishman held up his arms ready to fight as he spoke. "Want some?! Bring it on!"
"I admit. It was fun beating on you when you were tied up and couldn't fight back, but I ain't picky. I'll beat on ya anyway you like. And if ya got any request, direct them to my fist!" The next fishman cockily added in.
The third fishman held up his blade. "My sword and my ancient goldfish fighting style will rip you to pieces! And the sea will run red with your blood!!"
Camie and Pappag screamed for their friend as the three fishman charged Hachi. The fishmen were set flying through the sky by Hachi punching them with his three right arms. "WE'LL LET YOU GO THIS TIMEEE!!" The fishmen yelled until they were out of sight.
(Y/N) hopped up on the top of the cage next to Zoro as Hachi swam to his friends. (Y/N) wore an exhausted expression on her face making Zoro chuckle. "I told you, you're stupid."
(Y/N) blushed from embarrassment before irritatedly sighing. "You right on this one." The woman light slouch in defeat, watching Hachi jump out of the water to pull Camie and Pappag in a hug. (Y/N) smiled, standing upright. "They look so happy together."
(Y/N)'s sights quickly shifted to a Flying Fish Rider diving at the three. The two Straw Hats wasted no time to leap through the air. In a blink of an eye, Zoro slashed the rider while (Y/N) air kicked the flying fish into the building in front of her. As the (h/c) haired woman landed, clutching her chest as dust covered her view. 'Stupid heart. Work with me damn it.' The woman quickly caught her breath. 'I can't show that I'm still recovering. Not now. Not ever.'
"Zoro, no!" Hachi called out, quickly followed by Camie. "(Y/N)-chin!"
Once the dust settled, (Y/N) slowly stood from her crouched position. She spun her right sickle in her hand before catching it and placing it back in its sleeve. "Let your guard down too easily." Zoro spoke up, looking back to Hachi, Camie and Pappag. "Stay back and leave this to us. Don't worry. We'll be done here in no time."
"It looks like I own you again, Rorona! I'm so sorry for what I did to you beforee!!" Hachi cried at the swordsman.
"Excuse me?" Zoro glared back at the fishman making (Y/N)'s face slight scrunch up in confusion.
"Back when we fought, I hurt you pretty bad with my Six Swords Style." Hachi quickly explained.
"OH DID YOU?!" Zoro angrily yelled at the fishman. "Because I don't think you hit my even once!!" (Y/N) held her mouth, trying not to laugh. Zoro glared over at the woman, but his glare made her bust out laughing. Zoro irritatedly yelled at (Y/N). "IT'S NOT FUNNY!!"
"I know. I know." (Y/N) wiped a tear from her eye. "It's just the look on your face that made me laugh."
"Oh. And I don't think we've met before?" Hachin looked over at the (h/c) haired woman. (Y/N) returned his gaze with irritation lingering in her eyes. Hachi gulped at the anger seeping from the woman.
(Y/N) vanished and reappeared in front Hachi making Camie and Pappag scream in fear. (Y/N) ignored their screamed, bringing her face closer to Hachi. "We saved you because Nami is kind enough not to hold a grudge, but the fact that you were apart or Arlong's crew disgusts me. Now I find out you went toe to toe with my swordsman? Do your best not to piss me off. You got all that?" Hachi sheepishly nodded. (Y/N) glared him down for a few moments before 'tsk'ing and walking back to Zoro.
"Why do you do that?" Zoro softly spoke to (Y/N).
"Do what?" (Y/N) tilted her head slightly in confusion.
Zoro looked back at his crew fighting off Flying Fish Riders as he spoke. "You act like our past is your own. You did the same thing back at Water 7 with that Helmeppo guy."
"You guys became my friends, so your past has become my own." (Y/N) sighed, turning back to watch the fight before her. "It's was one of the few things my father taught me back when I was little.. True friends will fight for your cause, no matter the circumstances." (Y/N) attention quickly shifted to her captain when he started screaming about crashing. "What the hell?! Why is he on another flying fish?!!" (Y/N) traced her eyes on flying fish to see it crash into a building. 'He'll be fine, I'm sure if it.'
Zoro crouched over, clutching his chest as he huffed. Worry stuck (Y/N)'s face like a tidal wave. 'I told him to take it easy, but he's been fighting with all his strength like always. Just like me, huh.. the toll that red paw took on his body is clearly showing.' (Y/N) frowned at the thought. Camie, Hachi and Pappag approach the swordsman in concern. (Y/N) placed her hand on Zoro's shoulder, squeezing it ever so lightly. "We can take it from here. Take some time to get som—" (Y/N) was cut off by Brook jumping on the deck next to her. (Y/N)'s body jolted from the jump-scare before she turned to yell at the skeleton. "YOU SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME!!"
"Sorry, (Y/N).. That's it for me!" Brook yelled, catching his breath. "I got muscle craps! Ugh, not that I have any muscles to cramp in the first place."
Zoro grinned back at the skeleton. "Nice work back there, Brook. You really thinned those fish riders out, huh?"
"Uh huh. Happy to be of service." Brook face-planted on the ground beneath him. "But I think I need a moment of rest." Zoro turned, looking back at the ground below him. (Y/N) watched as her swordsman placed his fist on the ground, still catching his breath. Brook looked back up at the swordsman. "Zoro.. it's just as I thought. You injuries from Thriller Bark haven't healed."
"Injured or not, there's no way I'm losing to a bunch of fish." Zoro held back his pain, but it was clearly visible in his voice. The swordsman turned back to look at Brook with a grin on his face. "But I'll be fine."
Brook turned his attention to (Y/N). "And how are you feeling?"
(Y/N) lightly sighed, waving the skeleton off. She was about to answer, but Hachi took her attention away as he ran past her. "Don't let your guard down, Roronoa! Six Swords Style!" Hachi leaped into the air as (Y/N) turned to see the octopus fishman slice down a fish rider with his Tentacle Sword Overload attack. (Y/N) grabbed the handle of her sickles as the flying fish and its rider crashed into a building. The crash made (Y/N) sigh in relief.
Hachi landed in front of Zoro before the swordsman spoke to him. "Was that.. you paying me back for last time?"
Hachi chuckled. "Nah. Not really. But you three gotta watch your backs." The fishman laughed at the three Straw Hats.
"That was super cool, Hachin!" Camie cheered followed by Pappag. "Yeah! I told them you were strong!"
Hachi shield his blushing face, laughing at the compliments. A fish rider dove out of the waters making (Y/N) pull out her sickles. "Die, fish man!" The rider threw a spear at Hachi, but it was quickly intercepted by Brook. (Y/N) soared threw the air, slicing the rider's chest with both her blades before backflipping off his head. The woman landed back in front of Brook, shaking the blood off her sickles as the flying fish and its rider fell back into the ocean.
"Whew. I thought I was gonna die. Thanks a lot you guys!" Hachi smiled at his saviors.
"Please. Don't mention it." (Y/N) sassed the octopus fishman with her eyes closed, irritation clearly visible in her voice. Brook added in. "Oh it was my pleasure."
"Who needs to watch his back again?" Zoro also sassed Hachi.
The group turned back to watch the rest of the Straw Hats defend the Sunny. "Hey, (Y/N)." Brook peaked around the (h/c) haired woman's shoulder. (Y/N) hummed in response. "You didn't get a chance to answer. How are you feeling? I can only assume you're going through as much suffering as the swordsman."
"I'll be fine, Brook." (Y/N) lightly pushed his skull away from her. "Remember the last time we had this conversation? We shouldn't let our guard down due to our worries."
Just as (Y/N) finished speaking, a loud crash was heard behind them followed by loud rumbling. (Y/N) quickly turned to the village to see dust flying in the air before setting back back down. Luffy bursted through a building, running towards his crew mates. "Big one coming through!!"
"Iron mask guy?" Hachi questioned as the captain ran past him.
Luffy stopped to turn back to the octopus fishman. "Yeah! And he's on a huge cow!"
"A cow?" (Y/N)'s face scrunched up in confusion before looking back to the building her captain came from. Loud grumbling was heard before something large broke the wall of the building. (Y/N) heard the Flying Fish Riders above the ocean call out for the buffalo named Motobalo, stating 'the head' should be riding it. 'The head? So this is their big boss, huh?' The smoke from the crash began to clear as a voice spoke. "Look at you. Getting swatted down left and right. You're not mosquitoes men. You're Flying Fish Riders!" (Y/N) stared at the giant buffalo in shock with a tall lanky masked man riding on top of it. The masked man continued. "With the Straw Hats dead, I won't need his base. Don't hold back!"
A few fish riders landed on the sea before their boss. "Hey, we're sorry! We'll drag them off to the sea and finish them for sure!"
"Move it!" The masked man ordered his men before turning to the group next to him. "I don't care about fishmen or mermaids or giant talking gloves! I'll give you five seconds to get the hell out of my way!" Hachi, Camie and Pappag quickly backed away from the man. The masked man turned his attention back to his men. "Huh. I didn't get into the market of the slave trade cause I wanted to. You know that, don't you?"
"Of course, head!" The men smiled back at their boss. "Good luck!!"
The masked man looked towards the Thousands Sunny as he spoke. "This is the greatest day of my life. The man that I dreamed of killing is right before my eyes. I may have suffered to get here, but it's all been worth it! I gotta admit that miracles can happen after all. I never did a damn thing to that bastard and he made my life hell! He ruined me!! I got nothing to lose anymore. I'm ending this. Even if I die, I'm killing you. Do you hear me... Black Leg Sanji!!"
(Y/N)'s eyes widened in confused shock, turning her gaze to her cook. 'Sanji? Why Sanji out of everyone? Is there a past between the two?'
"I've been waiting for this for a long time." The masked man spoke in a souther accent making (Y/N) look back at the man in greater confusion. One of his men pointed out his accent, saying the reasoning is the masked man's growing anger. Sanji began to ponder aloud why the man could be so mad at him making the masked man speak up. "Don't play dumb with me, Black Leg! It wasn't that long ago, damn it!" The masked man began shooting a rapid fire harpoon gun at the Sunny. Thankfully, the Straw Hats ducked to avoid the attack. (Y/N) looked at the Sunny in confusion when purple smoke steamed off the harpoons. "My scorpion harpoons are packed with poison. If they so much nick you, you won't last three minutes. I'm going to kill you and you friends!!" The masked man shot more harpoons at the Sunny as he yelled curses at Sanji.
"I saw what was under that mask of his." Luffy spoke up with seriousness on his voice.
"Oh yeah? Then who is he?" Zoro questioned back.
"You'll be surprised, but you've seen his face." Luffy placed his straw hat on his head, running at the man on the buffalo.
Zoro questioned his captain's words in disbelief as (Y/N) blackly stared at the situation in front of her. "We should probably help them ou—" (Y/N) felt her heart skip a beat as pain coursed itself through her body. The woman turned away from her crew mates, placing her hand on her chest. 'Not now. I can hold out for a bit longer...'
"You okay?" Zoro questioned making (Y/N) wipe away the sweat forming on her forehead.
(Y/N) turned back to him with a soft smile. "Yeah. We should probably help..." (Y/N) slowly turned her attention to the man on the buffalo as Luffy kicked his mask off his face.
"Ah! That punk!!" The Flying Fish Riders yelled out as the, once masked, man shielded his face. "He knocked off master Duval's mask!!"
"Go ahead. Look." Duval revealed his face to the Straw Hats. "See this cursed face of mine."
"WHAAATT??!" (Y/N) screamed in shock, placing a hand over her mouth, Zoro added in to her shock. "You're kidding..."
"I've been waiting for this day. I knew I couldn't let you live. So I set out to sea to put an end to this." Duval held up Sanji's wanted poster as he spoke with his souther accent. "But I knew I had my work cut out for me. 'Cause your wanted poster didn't look nothing like ya. Even if the Navy or some bounty hunters saw ya, they never know they were looking at the guy on the poster. But they found someone else. Someone they hounded day in and day out! And when they found him, do you know what they'd say? You can't hide from us! Black Leg Sanji!!" Tears formed in Duval's eyes. "And do ya know what I told 'em? I never even met the guy beforeee!! And not only that! I ain't even a pirate!"
Tears formed in (Y/N)'s eyes; not from sadness or pity, but from trying to hold back her laughter at the situation. 'Duval looks EXACTLY like Sanji's wanted poster! I can't believe this!' (Y/N) watched as Sanji burned with rage before he yelled at Duval. "YOU SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTHHH!!"
