In the joy of newfound liberty I dance,
Released from the confines of your binding trance,
A cage of your making, chains now undone,
Once enslaved, now beneath the sun.
Yet, in the shadows where you once held sway,
Another soul ensnared, led astray,
Doth she fathom your deceitful game?
Two years,
seven hundred thirty days, the same.
Does she sense the duplicity, the artful guise?
Your dalliance veiled beneath lover's lies,
During your fledgling days, in tender hue,
Sharing hearts, yet a third played into.
Nay, she knows not, innocence her shroud,
Unaware of your deceit, in truth unbowed,
Deserving clarity, deserving grace,
To see beyond the mask upon your face.
Oh, to speak, to unravel the woven thread,
Reveal the truth where shadows tread,
Not mine to intercede, this delicate rendition,
But hope resides for her soul's rendition.
Sister of heart, oh heed this call,
Unravel the deceit before your fall,
Deserve not this ill-fated endeavor,
For he, my dear, deserves you never.
