"Don't hate me when I tell you this." I then said, taking another deep breath. He nodded quietly, his face spiraled consern. "I won't." He said, very sure of himself. I took a deep breath, this was it, this was the moment. My heart was going crazy inside of my chest, my head felt weak and dizzy. I opened my mouth, to speak.
"Im not who you think I am." I then said, almost yelling it out. I thought it wouldn't come out my mouth, I thought the words would be silenced, but they weren't, surprising me a bit. I looked at Asmodeus, a bit afraid of how he would look, but that quickly faded too, when I saw his face light up in intrest.
"What do you mean?" He asked me curiously. I let out a deep breath I didn't know I was holding in, and began explaining. I began with simple tips, telling him things about myself. "When we met, did I act like a demon?" I asked him, he didn't know how to respond. "I didn't fight back." Asmodeus nodded slightly, wondering where this conversation was leading to.
"Do I look like a demon?" I then asked him, he shook his head slightly. "I don't have pointy ears, fangs or long nails with nailpolish." I then said, the anxiety in me rising. "I know." Asmodeus said, reaching for my ear. "Not everyone looks the same." He then said, touching the top of my ear slightly.
I pulled away from his touch, staring at him. "You have flown with me right?" I asked, Asmodeus nodded. "And it was like I had never flown before right?" I asked him, he silently nodded, watching me, fiddling with his sleeves.
I took a deep breath. "Do you wana see my back?" I asked him, the anxiety in my blood rising. I felt like I could puke any second, the adrenaline in my body skyrocketing to points never reached before. Asmodeus nodded slightly, and so I took my shirt off and showed him my back. I didn't hear him gasp, or hear him make noise at all. Asmodeus then gently put his hand on my back, tracing one of the wounds that had been on my body as a child.
"I don't have any wings." I said quietly.
"I know." He replied.
I turned around, a bit confused. "You already knew?" I asked him, he nodded to me. "Im sorry." He said, apologizing. "How?" I asked. "How did you know?"
I stared at him while he looked down at the ground, in shame. "The last sleepover." He said, looking at me. "The last sleepover when Kiriwo came. I held you, and touched your back, because I felt nothing there. I thought you had just tucked your wings somewhere.. but.. I felt nothing, just a large scar where your base should be." He said, looking away in shame.
"So you know im human?" I asked him. He looked at me confused, his eyes then widened, just like my own when I realized I had made a mistake. I put my hands over my mouth, gasping slightly. Did he not know? But what about the wings then? My adrenaline rushed trough my veins, seeing him just staring at me, looking at my body.
"But.. the wound on your back?" He asked me, staring at me. "How..?" He asked. I swallowed deeply, taking deep breaths. "Parents." I said, feeling like someone was choking me. "Your parents did that?" He asked, full of disbelief, I nodded slightly.
"But.. you can't be..?" He asked me, not believing me. "What about the flying race?" He asked me. "Kalego pushed me into the cliff.. a bird catched me." I said, feeling more and more nervous. Asmodeus was pale, I felt like I could die too. "He did what?" He asked in disbelief again. I nodded slightly.
"Still.. you can't be..?" He said, his eyes big.
"Asmodeus." I said, looking him in the eyes. "I am human" I said, staring at him. He nodded, his face pale. "You're human?' He then asked me, while I nodded, my body visibility shaking.
"Im sorry.." I then apologized, my face tearing up slightly. Asmodeus stayed silent, my tears welling down my face. "Im sorry.." I then apologized again.
"Why are you sorry?" He then asked me, confused and very pale. "Because I lied." I cried sitting on my bed. He was quiet, and it broke my heart. Did he hate me now? Did I ruin it? Did I ruin us? Why did I even tell him? Im so stupid, so incredibly stupid.
"Its fine." Asmodeus said, making me look up at him slightly. "I understand.." He then said, looking me back in the eyes. "You must have lied because you'd get eaten right?" He asked me, I nodded. "And thats fine.." Asmodeus said.
"I still don't mind." He then repeated.
"You don't mind?" I asked him, crying. "I don't." He repeated. "You're still the same person." He then said, smiling at me slightly. "You're still my master, my best friend, my soulmate." He said, smiling brightly. "You are still the most perfect demon in existence to me." He said, smiling.
"Even if I am a human, will you still love me?" I asked him, my tears streaming down my face. "Even if you were a human, I would still love you." He responded, sitting on the bed, smiling, tears welling up in his own eyes aswell. And so I did what anyone would do in that situation, and jumped on him, hugging him tightly. I could hear him laughing slightly, while he hugged back. "I love you." I mumbled, my head pressed into his chest. "I love you too." He mumbled back, and so I smiled brightly, crying my eyes out while Asmodeus comforted me, running his hand trough my hair gently.
I stayed like that untill we, well, mostly I had stopped crying, wich took a long while, about half an hour or so. Usually he would get me to stop crying pretty fast, by whispering sweet words into my ears, but these tears weren't tears of sadness, but of joy and relief. I felt so happy Asmodeus accepted me.
Once I felt a bit better I sat up, and layed next to him instead of on top of him, knowing my head had to be heavy. And so Asmodeus shifted too, looking at me. "Iruma?" He asked me quietly. "Humans don't have wings right? But do they have tails?" He asked me curiously. I shook my head. "We don't have tails, or much of anything.. no horns no fangs and no tail." I responded, laughing slightly.
Asmodeus then nodded, still interested in knowing more. "But how do humans survive here then?" He asked. "Oh." I said, laughing slightly. "I'm not from this world at all. Im from the human world." I laughed silently when I saw Asmodeus's face turn into confusion. "Youre from another world?" He asked me. "Are you sure you're not a devil?" He then asked me exitedly. I shook my head. "No, back where im from they would probably call me an angel instead." I laughed, and even harder when Asmodeus looked at me confused. "An angel is.. something we made up, I think.. im not sure because demons are also seen as not real in the human world." I said, teaching him more about the human race. He nodded understandingly.
"Im surprised no one found out about you being human yet." Asmodeus remarked. "Oh, about that, Professor Balam, Opera, and grandpa know." I said, sitting up, stretching. Asmodeus nodded, also sitting up.
"But having to survive here must be tough right?" He asked, I nodded. "You really are the most capable person in the world! You have so much mana even though you are a human! And you have survived for so long, its just incredible!" Asmodeus said, his eyes sparkling. I laughed, scratching the back of my head. "Thanks, Azz." I laughed, knowing that he didn't understand anything about me yet, and so I just shrugged it off. Someday ill correct him, right now I don't mind at all.
"So Sullivan isn't your biological grandfather?" Asmodeus then exitedly asked, and I nodded. He then asked me more. "How did you two meet?" He then asked me, his eyes still sparkling like water in the sun. "Oh, he bought me from my parents! Well, actually he kidnapped me!" I exitedly said back, feeling his exitement, wich I shouldn't have done, because even if that was the best thing that ever happened in my life, Asmodeus didn't view it that way.
"He WHAT?!" Asmodeus yelled in anger, his sparkling eyes completely gone in the brink of an eye. I just laughed slightly. "He kidnapped you?!" Asmodeus asked angrily. I nodded slightly. "Well.. yeah, but its honestly one of the best things that happened to me.." I said, seeing him stand up, and walk to the door in anger.
"Asmodeus?" I asked, a bit scared. "Please don't go kill my grandpa." I begged while he looked at the doorhandle. I stood up, pulling and forcing him by his shoulders back to the bed. "Its okay Azz, trust me. Im much happier here than back there." I said, sitting next to him on the bed. He still looked pissed, and was muttering to himself. Some of the words I could hear were; kill, murder, burn, ashes and graveyard. He was probably saying that he was going to kill and murder him, burn him into ashes and put him in a graveyard.
I sighed lightheartedly. "Its okay, I promise, he didn't hurt me, he just kidnapped me because he wanted a grandson." I said, Asmodeus looking at me slightly, very pissed. "And he bought you, from your parents." He then remarked. "Wait, your parents sold you?!" He then yelled in the air, confused. I nodded, putting my hands on my ears. "Why would they ever do that?" He asked me, the shimmer in his eyes turning to a burning fury.
He looked at me, and demanded me to tell him where my parents where. "Tell me, Iruma. I will burn the both of them to ashes, throw their ashes in the fire again, and roast them nice and slowly untill they are nothing." Asmodeus said, spitting rage. I sighed, putting my head on his chest, wich put him a bit off guard. "Iruma?" He asked, his tone softening a bit. "I don't know where they are." I said, closing my eyes. "I don't know why they sold me either." I then said, feeling a bit saddened.
Asmodeus got quiet, and slowly hugged me. "Just tell me when you find them, and what your orders are." He then said half joking, the other half spitting rage. He gave me a kiss on the left side of forehead making me smile. "Im alright, don't worry." I said, yawning. Asmodeus then sat further on the bed, patting next to him. "Wana cuddle?" He asked me, and so I jumped next to him, giving him kisses on his cheeks before finally laying next to him.
He gave me a kiss back, and I noticed his face was a bit red. "I love you." I muttered. "I love you too." He muttered back, his tone indicating he was still pissed, although not at me. After a while, wich was probably another half hour, I sighed, feeling a wave of tiredness flowing over my body. "Im tired." I remarked, but heard nothing back, and so I sat up to look at Asmodeus, who already had his eyes closed, sleeping peacefully. And so I layed back down next to him, drifting back to sleep, not knowing someone else had been watching my every move. A teal haired boy.
He looked trough the window, at our silhouettes, his stare cold and distraught, a divice in his hand.
"I told you to stay silent, didn't I, Iruma?~"
