I did it!
I did what I'd been meaning to do since the past eight months.
Although I wish I was courageous enough to say those words to him directly,
I'm still glad that I took the risk and showed him what I'd written about my feelings for him.
My cheeks turned redder with each line of the letter that he read out loud.
"I love you," he read.
I didn't know where to hide my face.
"Stop laughing now," he continued.
I knew he would laugh. Not at me, but at my flushed face.
Which is why I'd already written about it.
I turn my head away in embarrassment.
"Well, what do you think?" I ask, with a pout.
"Ti amo, amore mio," he said, beaming.
It was getting harder for me to stand on my own,
so I throw my arms around his neck
and pull him in for a hug so tight,
that he starts laughing initially,
and then lives the moment with me.
