"Perhaps your the one being tricked.." I put my sword inside it's sheath, and walk towards the exit.. my body hurts, I can feel the aftermath if that fireball and I lose my balance
Before I can fall to the ground, someone catches me, it was Cassandra, sweating and panting, she must've run all the way here
"You idiot..." She said as she catches her breath
"Is that how you congratulate the winner?, I just won"
"Winner yes, but you have more injury that the prince..you idiot.." she help me up, putting my arms on her shoulder, her hand hold onto my arm and waist. That's when I spot 3 hooded figure walking on within the crowd
I know exactly who it was..it seems that it's a success..
"The battle isn't finish yet" I said as I look at Cassandra, giving her a sign that I will stand by my own for now,and she did let me do it "prince.. you said that Cassandra did all of those right? Why not we ask Anna herself"
"What are you talking about?" The prince said, then I pointed at the hooded people..before they take off their hood to revel themselves
It was Thomas,Anna and Emellie
"Anna? What's the meaning of this"
Thomas jumped from the stands to the arena below, of course helping both Anna and Emellie too.
Cassandra looked so relieved that Anna is safe, she run towards her friend and hugged her..with that scene..everyone in the crowd starts to talk to themselves and what's happening
I eventually sat down the ground and smile "Thomas.. can you tell the prince what happened..I need a rest"
"Ughh- fine, I'll gladly tell the story" Thomas said as he stand forward for everyone to see "I'll tell you everything now"

After knowing where Anna is..I volunteered to get her..I can't believe it, kidnapped so that Cassandra will be reprimanded by the prince..it's like killing 2 birds with one stone. That Celeste Hayness.. she's gonna pay formthis.
After gearing up I went out got out of the academy to save Anna, then I heard someone running towards me
"W-wait! Mr Olivier! I'm coming with you" it was Emellie, she is also wearing her gear
"Go back, this will be dangerous"
"I know!, but.. I'm I should take responsibility.. I am partly at fault..with the assassination..and Miss Anna's kidnapping.."

Emellie told us everything, Hayness is the one who hired those assassin..she wanted to be the crown princess, to get more power and authority..but when that failed.. she found another opportunity to strike that night the prince broke off the engagement with Cassandra

"True.. but.. lady Cassandra didn't know me when we got paired due to a rigged system..but she blocked an attack that is about to hit me..also before that, Mr Desmond helped me from other students bullying me..I can't just stay quiet knowing that my two saviours are the ones being targeted"

"I didn't expect it..but I was thankful for it, that's why I will help with this rescue..though..I think it will be dangerous for us two to go alone"
"Don't worry, we won't be going there alone" I close my left eyes and smiled, it seems that this part of my family is useful in this situations"

We went to a shady part of the city, no one wants to go here really..this is where you go when you want something..bad. entering a bar in an alley way, the patrons looks at both of us, of course Emellie is scared...but I'm not
"Would you look at that! To think that you will go here, and with a girl" the bartender spoke with a smile, a tall muscular man with a scar across his face
Emellie hid behind me and whispers "why are we here?"
I only gave her a smile and talk "I need help" I threw a gold coin on the counter "I will pay don't worry"
"Heh.. what does the young boss wants us to do hmm?"
"Emellie, please explain the situation"
"R-right..well.. someone is kidnapped..and..umm, I think it's called the assassin's guild called crows.."
"Crows? Well that is a serious matter..but no worries young boss and young lady, we will handle it just fine.."

"Assassin's..my mother is the boss"

"That's the thing.. only those who have connections can hire us..some trustworthy nobles that pays a lot..the crown"

And with the help of his mother's men, they tracked where they hid Anna.. but also thanks to The information Emellie hold.
The others make a distraction and fighting assassin dress like the same guys we fought back then. Meanwhile me and Emellie went in the building
It was dark, but my eyes are train for it, My companion drank a potion of dark vision so she can see
Assassin's are guarding the door where Anna is. Fighting them head on would he stupid
"Hey.. do you have anything that can distract them?"
"I do..but it's not really much of a distraction, it's a blinding potion grenade"
"That works"
I take the vial of that potion from her, and threw it in front of the guards and came the blinding light that gave me the opportunity to strike
Running towards them with my knives I slit both their necks, killing them.. emellie looked away
"Sorry..I'm just..not used to this"
"I understand, thanks for that blinding bomb" I give her a thumb up before I use my magic..tendril of shadow appear on my hand, small enough to fit the keyhole as I unlock
And I open the door
"Anna I came to- " bonk!
I was hit by a chair on my head..
"Ahhh!!!! That hurts!!!"
"Thomas!? By the gods! Im sorry about that, I thought your one of those people!" Anna, still wearing a pajama..seems to be unharmed, hit me with a chair
"It's fine..."
Emellie panics and went through her bag and grab a vial of healing potion and shove it to my mouth to drink "please take this!"

It was already dawn when assassin's we're dealt with the people we hired, they gave Anna a cloak and slippers to wear to
"We will take care of this young boss" said the man with a scar on his face "you need to go back as fast as you can right?"
"You..Boss?" Anna look at me squinting her eyes
"Uhm..uhh! I'll explain later, for now we need to come back since Desmond is gonna fight the prince!"
"What!? Why!?"
"...your kidnapping.." emellie spoke "it's planned..and they accuse lady Cassandra that she forced you to leave"
Anna eyes widen after hearing that "then we need to go now! Fast!"
And we rode horse back to the academy

The prince can't believe it "is that true?"
"Yes... Yes it is.." Anna said

"I told you.. your on the wrong" Desmond said
