The following weeks was relentless training for the warriors well all expect Y/N after all he'd lived over a thousand years and according to him he'd kill a monk if they so as thought themselves strong enough to even look him in the eye
The Lin Kuei members trained on their own in their clan territory but according to Y/N they were just terrified of him
For the most part Liu Kang wasn't to bothered that Y/N didn't wanna train after all his fought some of history's greatest warriors and bested them all
" Wait so King Arthur was real?" Cage questioned him the warriors were still weary around him but Cage learnt that after a few bottles of liquor Y/N became quite lively
" Yeah but he wasn't nearly as impressive as the story's made him sound he barely lasted a minute against me " Y/N sighed in dissapointment as he took a swig of his drink
They were all sitting outside most of them eating lunch since it was their break time while Y/N simply endulged Cage in some stories a fair trade for some booze he thought
" So your actually death? As in the grim reaper" Kung Lao asked doing his best to hide his curiosity
Y/N simply shrugged as if it wasn't really anything impressive
" Death, Grim Reaper, Lobo, Shinigami call me what ever you want" he said disinterested
Kenshi looked at him with a bit of anger that he kept silent " Your Y/N L/N aren't you" he asked more as a statement then a question
Y/N lazily looked over at him " It's been forever since someone called me by my fullname"
" Your a murderer, Tyrant according to all the stories and in all of them your described as a evil man" Kenshi states
Y/N shrugs " Good and evil meh I just do what I want" he says not bothered what Kenshi thinks he is
Kenshi looked over at Sento that was still kept on Johnny's person " Johnny do you remember the history of the Taira clan" he asked recalling the time he was restrained and questioned by the actor
He nodded slightly with a bit of confusion unsure of what that had to do with the conversation
" Yeah Taira clan was one of Japan's first families, they lost Sento after being slaughtered at the siege of Aomori" he said
Kenshi nodded and looked at Y/N with anger " And as history would have it all past records say you were their you killed the clan head and slaughtered my people"
Y/N simply shrugged " I've killed alot of people I'm not gonna pretend like your clan stuck out"
Kenshi then stood up in anger as he stomped over to Y/N " It's your fault my clan is in the state it's in and you go on as if killing so many people is meaningless" he shouts as the others back up
Raiden stood up and placed his hands on Kenshi's shoulders " Let's just calm down" he too was bugged by the reaper's nonlochant behavior but didn't believe now was the best time to confront him about it
The rest seemed worried now as the playful demeanor of Y/N had faded and was replaced by something more sinister and serious after all not even Liu Kang raised his voice against Y/N
To Y/N it didn't matter if Liu Kang called himself a god his killed people who said the same thing before and they were barely amusing as he cut them down but now some ignorant fool had the guts to raise their voice at him
Y/N slowly stood up as he placed the bottle of booze down as he straightens himself out and looks at Kenshi dead in the eye
Liu Kang then slowly walked to the scene he already knew what Y/N wanted " A spar nothing more" the fire god said he knew he couldn't stop him from fighting now but he could use it as a chance to increase his warriors skills " And you'll face all of them at once"
This made the four look at him in surprise but his stern demeanor showed he wasn't asking as for Y/N well an army wasn't enough before so four people aren't really enough to make him sweat
The four readyed themselves Kenshi drawing his blade Cage doing a few quick stretches Kung Lao placed his new razor hat on his head while Raiden took in a deep breath after all they were about to have a brush with death
Y/N raised his hand as a scythe seemingly formed out of thin air
The four weren't gonna waste time as Kung Lao immediately tossed his razor hat at Y/N and in almost a blink of an eye he swang his scythe in an upwards arch cutting the hat in two
It shocked the four but before they could even digest what happened Johnny was buckling over in pain as the butt end of the scythe found it's way to his gut Y/N hitting him with as much force as he can
Raiden tried to react but Y/N was simply in another league his movements weren't human they truly released now he was Everthing he said he was with a swift blow Raiden was on the ground groaning in pain Kung Lao was soon to follow leaving only Kenshi and Y/N
The swordsman's eyes went wide with shock but he shook his head to focus he raised his katana and tried to cut Y/N in a swift motion but he stepped to the side making the katana smash against the ground and as soon as it did Y/N stomped on the center of the blade shattering it " Guess I forget to mention my enhanced speed and stengh huh" he says before delivering a kick to Kenshi's gut making him buckle over in pain
Liu Kang sighed as he would now have to replace their now destroyed weapons
Y/N was annoyed still he hasn't found an equal and them all groveling in pain just pissed him off
" Get up this is a fight not that dumb training you've been doing with the monks" he says " As long as one of you is still breathing then this fights not over"
" Your making this a fight to the death" Raiden says in shock getting to one knee " Why because someone said something you didn't like there's no real reason to this fight "
Y/N slowly turned his attention to him " You mean you need a reason... To fight" he questioned
They all were unsure of what to say but one thing was sure the same heavy air they felt on their first day was back as if he summons it at will
" Why don't you just accept it? You all crave power isn't that right?" he asks them
They all stopped to think he was right in a way Cage wanted power he wanted control of his life again he wanted to be the world's biggest actor once again
Raiden he wanted the power and strength to protect what he cares about
Kung Lao wanted power so he wasn't second best anymore
And Kenshi wanted power to break his clan free of their chains
" You all might not wanna admit it but you enjoy fighting as much as I do, and anyone who truly loves power loves to measure that power in battle it's a simple fact! The question is... Do we fight in order to gain power more power or do we gain more power in order to fight I haven't figured that out yet not even in all my years " he then takes a long pause as he looks at each of them
" But who cares because one thing is for certain, there is no reason we should ever deny it or try to change it because we were born this way I have always wanted to fight and I always will it's part of all of us we do it instinctively" he then looks over at Liu Kang
" We have no choice but to fight! And because it's the only way to gain power if you want to control that power fight! Stand up and fight until your the last one standing" he says
The group was confused was he trying to motivate them
" I only fought your clan and others in search for an equal" he says to Kenshi
" And do not think I'm trying to motivate you to be better for the sake of earth realm I'm doing this because I want you to be stronger to see if any of you can satisfy me and be my equel" he says
On that note he gave them all one final glare before leaving as he walked past Liu Kang
The fire god sighed this was gonna be harder then he thought
