As Franky boarded the ship, (Y/N) flew down to grab her bag. Before she flew back on board, (Y/N) ran to Iceburg and hugged him tightly. "I'm gonna miss you, ice for brains."
"Well. You got Franky to take care of you now. Goodbye again, (Y/N)." Iceburg kissed her cheek before she flew off to rejoin her crew.
The Straw Hats finally set sail on their now ship. The Franky Family were shouting at Franky's safe return to the island one day. "So that's it?! We're leaving?" Nami angrily questioned her captain.
"Luffyyy!" Chopper had sad tears in his eyes.
"Last call Straw Hat. Are you sure? Seems like we're still missing someone." Franky questioned his new captain.
"Nah it's okay! We've waited long enough already and he never bothered to showed up. We went over this back at Galley Law, everyone agreed on what to do." Luffy spoke with a sense of confidence, but (Y/N) could tell that her captain was filled with anxiety. "We waited for him all that time, but he never bothered to come. So I guess we have our answer."
"It's your call." Franky sternly spoke.
(Y/N) walked up to Luffy, sitting next to him. "Have faith he's going to be okay."
Luffy smiled light at the woman before turning back to his crew. "I'm sure we'll run into him again someday. Even if he isn't one of us anymore."
(Y/N) looked down at the grass beneath her feet, lightly sighing at the situation. "Usopp come on..." Chopper said with tears in his eyes as he looked back towards Water 7.
"Luffy.. Can we wait a little bit longer? We're not in a rush just yet, right?" Nami pleaded with her captain, but he didn't say anything back. "Hey! Luffy?!"
The ship shook making everyone alert. "What was that?!" Nami questioned aloud.
(Y/N) and Franky ran to the ship's railing. (Y/N) gasped when she saw the marine battle ships. "Damn it. Bad news! The Marines are here!" Franky yelled out to his crew.
Luffy walked up besides (Y/N). "Grandpa?!"
"You got to be fucking kidding me, Garp!" (Y/N) yelled out at the ship.
"Hey Luffy, can you hear me? This is your grandpa speaking. Don't try to ignore me!" Garp spoke through a loud speaker.
"Yeah I hear you! What's the deal?! What are you doing coming back here?? You said you were gonna leave us alone!" Luffy yelled back at his grandfather.
"Yeah well I say a lot of things. Truth of the matter is, I'm sending you to a watery grave!" Garp spoke back, spooking Luffy. "I know this isn't much conciliation. For what it's worth, I'll fight you all on my own."
"THAT'S STILL UNFAIR GARP!!" (Y/N) screamed back at the man.
"What's he trying to do?" Sanji irritatedly asked the crew. Soon after, a cannon ball was thrown at the ship. Thankfully it didn't hit. Sanji looked back in shock. "He just threw that with his bare hands?!"
"That flew faster than any cannonball that I've seen. And he pitched it just like a baseball." Zoro unsleeved his swords, preparing to fight back.
"Those used to fly a lot faster in my younger days!" Garp laughed at his throw.
Nami wore a worried look before yelling at her crew. "Listen up! We got to get out of here right now! If we don't, he's gonna wreck our brand new ship!"
"Full speed ahead! Everyone, protect the ship from those cannonballs!" Luffy ordered his crew as they set sail.
(Y/N) quickly pulled out her sickles and waited for Garp's next attack. 'Come on, Usopp. We're running out of time!'
"HE'S HERE!" (Y/N) turned to Chopper, confused. "Usopp came back after all! You hear that guys? Usopp's right over there!"
"Are you sure??" Robin questioned the deer, but he quickly responded in affirmation.
'I don't see him..' (Y/N) thought as she looked out for a few seconds. Zoro called her over to help fend off the cannonballs. "On it!"
(Y/N) ran up the stairs, looking out towards Garp's battle ship. "Bring it, old man." (Y/N) popped her shoulders before flying at cannons, slicing her sickles into them. She was attempting to knock them down, but to (Y/N)'s surprise, she sliced right though them. (Y/N) landed back down on the deck. "What the hell.."
"What's wrong, (Y/N)?" Franky asked the woman while shooting down more cannons.
"I don't know how, but I was able to cut through those cannonballs." (Y/N) looked at her sickles in shock.
"You were a peace with your blades and the world around you." Zoro calmly said to her before slicing down more cannonballs. "I'll explain more later, but focus on that feeling you had before. Use it to your advantage."
(Y/N) nodded at the swordsman before flying back up towards the enemy. 'At peace with my blades.' The woman smirked lightly before slicing more cannonballs like paper, allowing them to explode behind her. "EVERYONE PROTECT THE SHIP!!" Luffy yelled out to his crew while using his Gum Gum Balloon to bounce cannonballs off him.
(Y/N) heard a familiar voice call out to the crew. "HEYYY You should be happy!! Your friend, Usopp, is back! So how about the weather we're having today..." (Y/N) landed back down on deck, allowing shadows to move her eyes as she listened to her former crew mate. "Chopper! We should go fishing! Hahaha after the cannonballs are gone, of course! Hahahaha oh by the way! I got some great news! If you guys just turn around and pick me up right now, then I'll be happy to be your Vice Captain! Good deal, huh?! HEYY LUFFY!! GUYS!! I know you're all nervous about seeing me again, but we're all buddies here! Come onnn It's not a big deal!"
(Y/N) felt anger from his words and refused to listen to the boy any longer. Blocking Usopp out while she went back to slicing cannonballs. "Luffy!! Usopp's calling for us!" Chopper ran up to informed his captain.
"I can't hear him."
"Zoro?!!" Chopper questioned the swordsman.
"I don't hear anything!" Zoro yelled back to the doctor while slicing more cannonballs.
"You lier he's right there!! (Y/N)??" Chopper sheepishly called out to the duel wielder.
"Sorry, doctor. I don't even see the boy, let alone hear him." (Y/N) yelled back before sending a large kick of air to blow a group of cannons off course and into the ocean.
(Y/N) flinched when she heard Usopp's voice again. "I'M SORRYYY!! I'M TOO STUBBORN, I KNOW!! I TAKE BACK EVERY WORD I SAIDDD!" (Y/N) smiled over at the lose nose before landing on deck. "BUT WILL YOU LET ME TAKE IT BACK?! PLEASEE!! I'M BEGGING YOU! YOU GOTTA FORGIVE ME! If I'm not with you, there's no point! Don't leave me alone!! I NEED YOU GUYS! I'll do anything!! Please let me join the crew... JUST ONE MORE TIMEEE!!"
Luffy quickly stretched back his arm as far as he could towards the long nose man on shore. "HURRY UP!! GRAB ON ALREADY!!!" The captain sobbed as he yelled for his crew mate.
(Y/N) laughed when she saw Luffy and Usopp hit their heads together when the long nosed was pulled back on board. "Welcome back, Usopp." The (h/c) haired woman happily smiled at the reunion.
"ALRIGHT! THE GANG'S ALL HERE!! We're gonna get away from these stupid cannonballs and head to the New World! LET'S GOOO!!" Luffy cheered, throwing his fist into the air.
"YEAHH!!" His crew cheered back in unison.
"Hurry up! I said furl the sails!" Franky yelled at (Y/N) and Zoro who were on the top of the sails, Luffy also joined his yelling.
"Are you sure about this Franky?! Doesn't seem pretty smart to me!" Zoro yelled down at the cyborg.
"I got this! Don't ask questions, just do it! Stop being an idiot and have some faith in your own ship!" Franky yelled back up at the swordsman as Luffy, Chopper and Usopp danced in mocked Franky's words.
"KEEP BOSSING US AROUND AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GET DOWN THERE!!" (Y/N) angrily yelled at the four making them hesitate their teasing, but they shrugged her off and when back to cheering. "Yep. I'm gonna kill them."
"Don't worry about them right now. Let's just get this over and done with." Zoro looked over at the woman with was busy working on tying her end. "You look like you know what you're doing. How long have you been sailing anyways?"
"Hm? Trick questioned." (Y/N) thought for a minute. "About ten to twelve years. On and off though."
"Woah. That's more than I expected." Zoro finished his half a minute or so after (Y/N).
"We'll have to finish this conversation later when there's less cannon fire involved." Zoro agreed as (Y/N) grabbed his waist before flying down to Franky together. "Alright, Shipwright. We finished furling the sails."
"Now do whatever you're gonna do before the Navy blows us up." Zoro finished (Y/N)'s thought.
"There's something you're forgetting." Franky looked up the ship's mast. "Don't ya know? We can't leave until we give this ship a name."
"A NAME?! AT A TIME LIKE THIS?!" Sanji questioned the cyborg.
"Of course! This is her maiden voyage, so there's no point if we don't do it now." Franky quickly explained.
"Well I guess." Sanji jumped up to kick another cannonball. "Whatever it is, it's gonna have 'lion' in it, right?"
Luffy raised his hand up like he was in a classroom. "Wait I got it! I just thought of the perfect name! The Black Bear Polar Bear Lion Tiger!" Usopp quickly threw that name out of the window with a smack to the captain's face. "Then how about the Super Wolf Gorilla Bear?!" Again... shut down.
"Mhm. Well I did have a lion in mind for the design. Though the guy's at Galley Law didn't seem to get that..." Franky said in annoyance.
"Isn't it a sunflower though?" (Y/N) tilted her head at the cyborg. Franky immediately ran up to her, pulling her by the cheek as he yelled about the figure head being a lion.
Franky told the crew about the suggestion Iceburg made for the name. "That suits her perfectly." (Y/N) rubbed her cheek before smiling at the mast. "The Thousand Sunny."
"I kinda wanted Big Boss Lionel, but Thousand Sunny is pretty good too." Zoro calmly said.
"I was going to suggest Creature of Darkness." Robin added in.
Sanji placed his hand on his chin. "I like Monsieur Sunflower personally."
"Geez. If I ever get a pet, remind me never to ask you guys for name suggestions." (Y/N) shunned the three.
"A ship to sail a thousand seas with a sunny smile." Robin spoke to her crew. "Its prefect, don't you think?"
"Don't get too excited you guys! That was just a warm up! I've got a name that's gonna knock your socks off! This ship, will now be known as..." Franky giving his ship name suggestions was spoken over by by the crew.
"I like Ice Pop's idea just fine, let's go with that and get this ship sailing!" Luffy smiled brightly from the ship's new name.
"Yeah! Same here. I guess Ice for Brain's isn't that useless after all." (Y/N) giggled at the thought.
"Sounds good, the Thousand Sunny it is!" Sanji smiled at the crew. Nami and Usopp agreed with the cook's words.
"Nice to meet you, Sunny!!" Chopper cheered for the new ship.
(Y/N) saw Franky sulking on the deck. "Awe there there, big guy. Don't worry about the name." The woman frowned as she patted his back.
"(Y/N) don't baby the man." Sanji called out to the two. "And Franky, stop pouting and get moving. Use that secret weapon of yours, so we can get out of here."
"Better make it fast too. The Navy's going to catch up any second." Zoro added in.
"Yeah yeah I know." Franky stood up to speak to the crew. "Take one last look at Water 7 cause it's gonna be out of sight before you know it. I'm warning you. Once we start moving, we'll really be moving."
"Okay got it. One sec." Luffy jumped up on Sunny's railing. "GRANPAAA!! OH AND IF YOU'RE THERE KOBY AND... Uhhh the other guy! IT WAS NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!"
"What are you blabbing about Luffy?! I got plenty more cannonballs!!" Grap yelled back as he threw another cannon ball, but Luffy easily hit the explosive to the side of the ship.
"Give it up! I dunno what's gonna happen, but we're gonna get away!! Well, I hope to see you guys again someday!" Luffy smiled back at his grandfather and friends.
"You little turd! You show your grandpa some respect, you hear me!! How dare you!!" Garp yelled at the captain.
"Bye, Garp!! Til we meet again!" (Y/N) waved at the man.
"(Y/N)! You're better off turning yourself in now!!" Garp yelled back at the woman, but he was ignored which pissed him off even more. "YOU BETTER ANSWER ME, YOU BRAT!!"
"THANKS FOR HELPING US NAME THE SHIP, ICE POPS!! YOU'RE AWESOME!!! AND THANKS TO EVERYONE ELSE TOO! BYE MONSTER GRANNY! BYE GALLEY LAW!! WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!" Luffy yelled at the bystanders at Water 7.
"Uhh guys... what's that thing that Garp's holding...?" (Y/N) nervously asked her crew.
"AHH WE CAN'T DODGE THAT!!" Usopp started screaming about everyone going to die from the gigantic cannonball before them.
"Luffy, run away!!! He's serious this time!!" Koby yelled back to the captain.
"Franky! GO!!" Luffy yelled back to the cyborg. Everyone started panicking at the gigantic cannonball raining down upon them.
"COUP DE BURST!!" Franky yelled out from below the deck as the Sunny flew though the sky.
'This feeling reminds me of the knock up stream will Merry..' (Y/N) smiled at the thought as wind pushed back her (h/l) (h/c) hair from her face.
Franky came back to the deck to explain what just happened. "It eats up three barrels of cola, but it can fly for a whole kilometer. I'm not tryna brag here, but simply put, anything the Going Merry could do? This ship could do better. And it's got tricks of its own! But even if it's all new, I hope the brave spirit of the Merry could live on in the Sunny." (Y/N) couldn't help but smile at Franky's words. "If anything breaks, I'll fix it up as good as new. From weapons to furniture, I know this ship up and down! It may be my masterpiece, but it's all yours now!!"
"YEAHHHH!!!" The crew cheered from his words.
After the success escape from the Namy, the crew got together on the lower deck. They stood around a small table all holding beer mugs in the hands. "Alright guys!! Are you ready?!" Luffy happily questioned his crew.
"YEAHH!!"
"Then everybody raise a glass! For the return of our old friends Robin and Usopp as well as our new crew member, Franky! And the best ship ever, The Thousand Sunny!!" Luffy exclaimed for all. "LETS HERE IT FOR OUR CREW!!"
"CHEERS!" Everyone clasped the drinks together before chugging them down.
"LETS GO!! NEXT STOP FISH-MAN ISLAND!"
"YEAHH!!" The crew cheered on Luffy's words.
After a good celebration, the crew went off to check out the Thousand Sunny and all her features. (Y/N) went to change in the Girl's Quarters to something more casual.
Once she was changed, (Y/N) sat on the swing. Right away she got to scribbling in her new log book she purchased in Water 7, humming a sea shanty as she wrote. "Hey, (Y/N). Have you checked out the ship yet?" Franky asked the (h/c) haired woman as he walked up to her.
"Um, no actually. I wanted to finish my journaling first then go check everything out." (Y/N) nervously scratched the back of her neck.
"Not a problem. I recommend you check out the ship's library first. I think you'll like it." Franky winked at the woman before walking off to the Aquarium Bar.
(Y/N) looked confused, but got back to writing. After a few more minutes of logs, she closed her book. "And done! Now... where's the library?"
(Y/N) walked up the stairs as Luffy and Usopp ran down, yelling about some shark they put in the aquarium. 'That doesn't sound like it's going to end well.' (Y/N) giggled at the boys as she opened the first door she saw. "Ah this must be the dining hall and kitchen." The woman thought aloud as she walked past the table to the rooms in the back.
Peaking through the widows, she saw Doctor Chopper's office and the little deer excitedly spinning around in his office chair. 'Hehe. He's so adorable.' She opened the next door over on the left to see the food pantry. Closing the door quietly, to not disturb the happy doctor. (Y/N) spotted a latter in the dinner room and curiously climbed up it. "Ah this must be the deck. Wow. Franky even added flowerbeds and a place for Nami's tangerine trees!"
The woman walked back towards the door she saw, opening it slowly. "Ah. This must be the library! It's beautiful..." (Y/N) walked around, placing her hands on the books, even pulling one out to read later. Finally she reached the desk at the back of the library. "What's this?" (Y/N) picked up a small wrapped box that had a very pretty red bow on it. The woman picked up the small tag that read: To (Y/N), From Tom. "Tom?? What the hell?!" (Y/N) quickly opened the box. The first thing she was was a letter.
Opening it slowly, she read aloud. "Hey kiddo. By the time you get this letter, I probably won't be around anymore! But I don't want you to cry over me, so stop doing it." (Y/N) wiped away the tears forming in her eyes. "I asked Flam to give this to you when he feels you are ready for it, so here we are. (Y/N), there was one thing that I've always regretted not telling you when you left back to Coloot Island. Kiddo, I'm proud of you. No matter what this cruel and twisted world may throw at you, keep your head up high. I love you very much, (Y/N). Live your life freely and if being a pirate is what you wish to do, then do it with gusto!! Farewell, Your Friend Tom."
Tears poured from (Y/N)'s eyes as she placed the letter down to rub her temples. "God damn it, Tom! Why do you have to squeeze my heart like that!" The woman laughed before looking back into the box. (Y/N) gasped when she saw a familiar necklace. "This belonged to Tom's mother.. it's still as beautiful as it was ten years go."
(Y/N) placed it around her neck, smiling down at the beautiful golden anchor. "Thank you, Tom. I'll cherish this forever."
(Y/N) smiled before placing the note back in the small box and putting the box in her bag. 'I should probably head back now.' The woman walked to the Aquarium Bar, opening the door softly to not interrupt her crew's conversation. "(Y/N) SWAN~!!" Sanji practically flew over to the woman. "Would you like something to drink?"
"No, I'm good. Thank you for the offer." (Y/N) smiled softly at the man before walking to the aquarium. "So.. a fish tank with no fish?"
"You can blame those morons over there." Sanji glared over at Luffy and Usopp. "They put in a shark that ate every damn fish we had."
"Circle of Life." (Y/N) shrugged before sitting next to Franky. "What are you guys talking about?"
"The cool stuff Sunny has!" Luffy exclaimed before whining. "But Franky won't show us."
"I told you already you'll see them when we need to use them!" Franky yelled back at the straw hat, although something else stole Luffy's attention.
The Captain excitedly ran outside. "WOAHH!! Look guys, SNOW!!" Luffy's words caught (Y/N)'s attention making her get up to check out what her captain was talking about.
(Y/N) giggled at Usopp and Luffy who were yelling up at Zoro for not letting the crew know it was snowing. "Leave him alone, you guys know he's a moron."
The boys laughed with (Y/N) before they all started chanting up at the swordsman. "Zoro the idiot!!" Before teasing the man some more.
"Look at that. It's been a long time, it's beautiful! I hope it piles up high!" Chopper spoke out to the crew making (Y/N) smile up at the doctor.
"I should probably prepare us something warm for dinner." Sanji informed the crew before heading off to the kitchen.
"I'm gonna go get my coat. It's getting chilly." (Y/N) waved off the boys before heading back to the Girl's Quarters to grab her (f/c) winter coat. When she got back, (Y/N) headed up to the Lookout Zoro was in. "Hey, swordsman."
Zoro was resting his hand on his face, wearing a bored expression before looking up at the woman. "Hey, dual wielder. What? Did Luffy send you up here to be the new lookout?"
"No. I came here on my own accord." (Y/N) laughed a bit before sitting next to him. The woman looked out to the sea, thanks to the window next to them. "I've been thinking about what you said, being at peace with my blades?"
"Hm. Yeah." Zoro crossed his arms, leaning back against the wall as he spoke. "It took me a while to master the technique.. the ability to cut through even iron. You felt like the world around you was quiet when you sliced those cannonballs, right?"
(Y/N) nodded her head in affirmation. "I haven't told anyone about this, but Garp was able to lift a huge weight off my shoulders back in Water 7." Zoro looked at her confused and curious by her words. "But he placed another weight on them at the same time... I don't know if I should tell you guys yet." (Y/N) rubbed her arm nervously, her voice shook lightly as she spoke. "I want to, but I really don't know how you guys would react."
The two sat in silence for a few moments before Zoro sternly spoke up. "Whatever it is, I believe it's best to let the crew know. But I also believe you should inform Luffy first before anyone else. It's only right for the Captain to know what troubles his crew the most."
(Y/N) nodded her head in agreement before looking back to the ocean. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw something coming their way. "Zoro! A ship!!"
The swordsman quickly stood up to look out the window before heading to the intercom. "Hey, we see a ship! There's something strange about it too." (Y/N) and Zoro quickly headed down to meet up with their crew.
Usopp used one of his tactics to look closer at the ship. "Strange is right. As far as I can tell, it doesn't have a sail or a flag."
"It doesn't a sail? So it's just sitting there, drifting around?" Nami questioned her sniper's words.
Sanji pondered aloud "An abandoned ship? Or maybe..."
"I've heard stories of a strange game between pirates that takes away crew members called a 'Davy Back Fight." Franky questioned aloud.
"Yeah, we know." The rest of his crew cringed at the comment.
"But wait. Does that mean they took the crew's flag too?" Chopper questioned the group.
"Could it be one of those ghost ships Kokoro talking about?" (Y/N) happily questioned, thinking about the treasures it might contain.
"Eh?! Ghost ship?!" Chopper got spooked by her suggestion.
"Hey wait... I see someone." Everyone looked confused by Usopp's words. "They're fishing? Then they might be castaways. Pretty ragged and tired looking."
Sanji looked over at Luffy. "What do you think, Captain?"
"Right! Lets go take a look. If they're enemies, we'll just beat 'em up!" Luffy giggled at his orders.
And with that, Sunny headed towards their new adventure.
