In a land of laughter and silly jest,
A poem was born, as a humorous quest.
No words yet spoken, no rhymes arranged,
But with a chuckle and a grin, our tale began.
There once was a monkey, mischievous and bold,
Who loved to eat bananas, or so we were told.
He swung from the trees with a cheeky little dance,
Leaving chaos in his wake, leaving all in a trance.
One fateful day, in the heart of the zoo,
The monkey spotted a mirror, shiny and new.
He thought it was a friend, waving from afar,
So he chatted and laughed, without a single scar.
But as he reached out to touch his newfound chum,
His paw slapped the mirror, leaving him dumb.
With a bewildered expression on his funny face,
The monkey realized it was all a big embrace.
From that day forward, wherever he'd go,
The monkey hugged mirrors, just to say hello.
The zookeepers would chuckle, the visitors amazed,
At this monkey's antics, so amusingly crazed.
So if you see a mirror, be sure to beware,
For a mischievous monkey might be lurking there.
He'll make you laugh, he'll make you smile,
With his quirky nature, oh so worthwhile.
