You took a deep breath as you knocked on the front door of Taylor's house.
When it opened, you held out the rose for her to take, only to see Andrea standing there.
"I'm sorry." You nervously spoke. "I'm here for Taylor. We're going out tonight."
"Oh, really?" Andrea asked as she gazed at you. "Taylor didn't mention that."
You were about to speak when you saw Taylor come downstairs.
She looked so beautiful as she stood there in a white dress and you swear, you must've been getting a glimpse of an angel on earth.
"So... you met my mom." She chuckled as she walked over to you.
"You didn't tell me you had a date tonight."
"Oh, right, um..." Taylor nervously chuckled. "This is Y/N. We like each other a lot and we've decided to go out, and see where things go."
"Got it." Andrea smiled. "Girls, I have absolutely no problem at all about you two going out together. If you like each other and decide that things are so great that you want to date, that's wonderful! I fully support it, as long as Taylor is happy."
"Thanks, mom." She grinned. "Trust me... I'm very happy."
She looked right into your eyes as she said those three words and your heart completely melted.
"We're going out to get some food and then we'll find something else to do after that. But I won't be out too late, I promise." She assured her mom before giving her a big hug.
"Alright, just be safe and have fun!"
"Thank you. Nice meeting you!" You smiled and waved to Andrea as Taylor took your hand and pulled you towards your car.
You opened the door for her and her cheeks heated up.
"Thank you." She chuckled. "You're too sweet."
"No problem." You said before closing her door and then getting into the driver's seat.
You were about to start the car when her hand suddenly brushed across yours.
"I just want to tell you how truly excited I am about tonight. I like you a lot, Y/N, and this means a lot to me."
"I feel the same way, Taylor." You said before squeezing her hand. "Where do you want to go for dinner?"
"I know a good place." She said. "I'll tell you where to go."
"Okay." You said before starting your car and pulling out of the driveway.

A little while later, you pulled into the parking lot of a pizza place.
"I love it here and I think you will too!" She said as you both got out of the car.
You waited for her to join your side before you took her hand into yours.
You used your free one to hold the door open for her and she blushed a little.
"Thanks, baby."
Your heart fluttered over the sweet pet name.
You walked to the counter and ordered a pizza to share with toppings that you both liked before Taylor pulled you across the room.
"Since it won't be ready for about fifteen minutes..." She said as she pulled you into the arcade. "Why don't we play some games."
"Sounds fun." You smiled.
"Look at the bear! How adorable." She said as she noticed the adorable stuffed bear in the claw machine.
You decided to try and win it for her.
It took you a few tries but you eventually won it for her.
"Here you go, baby." You said as you handed it to her.
She leaned in and brushed her lips across your cheek and your heart skipped a beat at the feeling.
"This is already the best first date I've ever been on. Thank you."
You looked around the arcade, trying to hide the fact that your cheeks were as red as a tomato, and you saw a fun-looking game.
"I've never played this before. I wonder how it's done."
Taylor placed the bear down but didn't dare let it out of her sight.
She grabbed one of the balls that you had to toss to get points.
"Here, I'll show you." She said before she wrapped her arms around you from behind.
She placed the ball in your hand and pulled it back.
"Throw it the best that you can. The numbers will dictate how many points you get and then if you get enough tickets, you win a prize." She said.
You could barely focus with her arms around you and her soft voice in your ear, not to mention the feeling of her hand wrapped so securely around yours.
"Ready?"
You nodded.
"Throw it."
You threw it and it landed in the hole that said 200.
"You just got two hundred points. Good job!" She said before she held another ball out for you to take.
"You should teach me how to do it again. I already forgot." You lied.
Taylor shook her head with a smile, catching on.
"You just want me close to you again, don't you?"
You nodded shyly.
"All you have to do is say so, darlin'." She said before she wrapped her arms around you once more.
And you threw each ball right into the 200 hole, winding up with a ton of tickets.
You chose to cash them in right away while Taylor went over to the table as the pizza was set down.
"Can I get the elephant plushie?"
The guy nodded before handing it to you.
"Thank you!" You grinned before hurrying over to the table where Taylor was patiently waiting for you.
"Now you have a bear and an elephant." You said as you placed it in front of her.
"Thank you. I will cherish these forever." She said before bringing your hand to her lips for a kiss.

After sharing the pizza and talking about life together, you finished the meal and decided to head out elsewhere.
Taylor made sure to keep the bear and elephant on her lap as you drove somewhere else.
"I know a place we should go." You said.
"Okay." She grinned.
You took her to a place that you love - a park.
But you took her towards a spot you've always dreamt of taking someone.
Not many people pass by there and the view is beautiful.
You grabbed a blanket that you always keep in the backseat of your car and you placed it on the grass once you reached the spot.
"Go ahead, baby. Sit." You said.
She did so and you sat down beside her before you stared at the sky and listened to the water run.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" You asked.
Taylor scooted closer to you and placed her head on your shoulder as she nodded.
"It is."
You turned your head and gave her a kiss on her temple, only for her to lift her head from your shoulder.
By now, the sun was starting to set.
There were crickets chirping nearby and the sky was a beautiful shade of orange and pink.
"You missed." She whispered.
Your heart started to race as you leaned in and put your lips on hers.
She didn't hesitate to kiss you back as her hands fell to your cheeks gently.
You got lost in the kiss.
You got lost in the way her lips tasted and the way they moved so perfectly against your own.
She slowly pulled away a moment later to get a breath of air into her lungs.
"That was a great first kiss." You said.
"Yeah. It was perfect." She said before she put her arms around you to hold you. "We should come back here for our second date."
The mention of a second date with her made your heart swell.
"I would love that so much." You said before kissing her again.
This is the happiest you have ever been in your life.
And Taylor felt the same way.
It was undeniable that there was a chemistry between you two like no other.
Perhaps, this was the start of something very special.
