"I was born in a thunderstorm,
I grew up overnight,
I played alone,
I played on my own,
I survived."

ALEC PRACTICALLY BURST THROUGH THE DOOR OF THE BANE COUPLE'S APARTMENT AND WAS QUICK TO CALL OUT FOR THE BLONDE GIRLS GRANDPARENTS.

"Magnus, Elizabeth!" Alec called out to the immortals.

The couple were quick to reach to the eldest Lightwood and they felt their hearts drop when they saw their granddaughter unconscious in his arms in the state that she was in.

"Bring her through here." Magnus instructed gently as he and Elizabeth led the way to one of the guest bedrooms.

They all reached the guest bedroom and Alec gently set Asakhe down on the bed before stepping back and letting Magnus heal his granddaughter.

"Come on sweetheart, lets leave Magnus to it." Lizzie told Alec gently.

The eldest Lightwood nodded knowing he would be beside the blonde the moment Magnus was finished anyways.

Elizabeth led Alec to the kitchen where she made them both a light snack and a cup of tea after Alec had washed his hands.

"Is it normal for Asa to be targeted this intensely?" Alec asked the vampire after a few moments of silence when he had sat down on a barstool by the counter.

The Bane woman sighed softly before she gave Alec a soft smile, Lizzie could tell that Alec cared deeply for her granddaughter.

"She's a tribrid my dear, she holds a lot of power and many forces of evil want to use her for their own advantage." Lizzie began to explain as she sat down beside Alec.

"The last few days is only a snippet of everything Asa's gone through in her life." The Bane woman continued.

"Believe me it doesn't get any easier, she's been targeted ever since she was only four days old." Lizzie stated and Alec looked at the woman, shocked and speechless.

"Four days old." Alec repeated, unsure if he had heard correctly.

Lizzie nodded solemnly.

"She's a tough cookie though, when the world knocks her down seven times she gets up eight despite all the obstacles she's faced and yet to face." Lizzie stated.

"Does she ever make time for herself?" Alec asked the Bane woman and Lizzie chuckled softly.

"Not always, the only time she will relax willingly is once all her loved ones are safe, which is weird considering how much she loves her sleep." Elizabeth explained.

Alec chuckled softly and shook his head fondly.

"Anywhere and everywhere, Asa would probably find a way to sleep." Magnus's voice came through making the two turn to face him.

The warlock sent them both a soft smile.

"She's stable and I've managed to heal her but there will be scars left behind." Magnus explained.

Alec felt himself finally able to breathe properly knowing that the blonde princess was going to be okay.

"I don't know how you guys have dealt with this for so long, it's only been a few days for me and yet it feels like I can't do anything to help her." Alec spoke.

"She's our granddaughter." Magnus began softly.

"Maybe not biologically but her mother has always been like daughter and we knew the moment that Asa was born she was something special." The warlock continued.

"She truly is." Alec couldn't help but agree with Magnus.

Never in his life did he think he would meet somebody like Asakhe much less feel the connection he does with her but now that they've met and continued to get to know each other, he doesn't want to remember what life was like without her.

"She can protect herself better than anyone but when you know what she's been through, all you want to do is keep her in a protected bubble." Magnus continued.

"You never get used to it but there's still a long way to go before we can say that Asa will no longer be a target." Lizzie spoke up.

"At the end of the day we can only be grateful that she's still here and continues to fight even if she feels like giving up at times." Magnus finished.

THE GARROWAY GIRL HAD BARGED INTO THE BANE APARTMENT WITH CLARY, SIMON AND JACE NOT FAR BEHIND THEM AS THEY CARRIED A BLEEDING OUT ISIAH AND LUKE.

"Magnus!" Faith called out for the warlock and her friend.

The high warlock made his way out to face the group and he froze for a moment when he saw the state that Luke and Isiah were in.

"What happened?" Magnus asked as he moved things around so that the wolves could be laid down across the two couches.

"They were attacked!" Simon exclaimed just as Elizabeth came barging through to the living room.

"They challenged the alpha didn't they?" Lizzie asked as she turned to face the three Garroway girls who were quick to nod.

"They won, just by the way." Faith shrugged.

"Nice." Lizzie nodded and let out a slight chuckle before turning to her husband.

"She's okay, Alec's beside her." Lizzie told her husband as she gave him an update on their granddaughter.

"Where is she?" Faith asked the immortal couple in front of her, desperate to see her niece because despite her husband and brother in law being injured she needed to see her niece after all the first time she's seeing her since she left France to come to New York she's unconscious.

"She's in a spare bedroom, Alec is there with her." Magnus told the Garroway woman before directing her to the room in question knowing that she wanted to see the blonde princess.

"Thank you, I know Isiah and Luke are in good hands with you guys but I just really need to see her." Faith expressed before rushing off.

Magnus and Lizzie shared a look before they both sighed out in sync knowing they had to help the werewolves not only because they were uncle figures to their granddaughter but also because they would feel guilty if they didn't do anything.

"Make sure they're as comfortable as possible." Magnus told the Garroway sisters who nodded gratefully before placing their father and uncle on either of the couches.

MEANWHILE FAITH HAD REACHED THE SPARE BEDROOM THAT HELD HER NIECE AND SHE SPOTTED THE ELDEST LIGHTWOOD BESIDE HER.

The Garroway woman knocked gently on the door as to not scare Alec but draw his attention to her presence.

Alec drew his gaze away from the blonde princess and turned to the door where he spotted the Garroway woman and gave her a soft smile which she returned.

"May I come in?" Faith asked gently, even though she wasn't gonna take no for an answer.

"Yeah." Alec nodded and Faith mentally sighed in relief as she entered the room, closing the door behind her before going to sit on the other side of her unconscious niece.

Faith followed Alec actions and grabbed Asakhe's free hand in hers.

"Oh my sweet darling niece." Faith sighed softly, feeling her eyes glisten with tears already.

"What happened?" Faith asked Alec, even though she was scared for the answer she was about to receive.

"Um, Asa had come by the Fairchild loft to help me watch over Clary when she had run out of the institute and of course Simon just ended up with her." Alec began to explain after a few beats of silence.

"Then, I heard a sound and went to check it out leaving Asa behind to take care of Simon and Asa, I then followed a wolf to the streets below only to watch as Simon and Clary were arrested whilst an unconscious Asa was dumped into the boot of the car skip the whole fight with my parabatai and trying to track them we eventually found out the three were at the jade wolf and whilst the others took care of Simon and Clary, I immediately went to find Asa who was covered in blood, bruises, cuts, I think they electrocuted as well and then I brought her here." Alec summarised.

"Oh my gosh." Faith sighed softly before reaching out with her free hand to place it over Alec's wrist.

"Thank you for finding and bringing her, I can only imagine what that felt like." Faith told Alec because even though she's found Asa in the state Alec has described before, she knows the experience is different for each of Asa's loved ones.

"Of course Clarissa started the problem, that girl can never follow a simple freaking order." Faith then scoffed as she threw her hand up in exasperation.

The Garroway woman had never been fond of Clarissa and she never understood why and how Isiah and Luke were so okay with her being around.

Alec raised an eyebrow in amusement at her.

"You don't like Clary do you?" Alec asked, the amusement clear in his tone.

"Not at all, not even a little bit." Faith deadpanned shaking her head before both her and Alec burst out in soft laughter.

"She's just this winy, spoilt brat, who has never given me a reason to see her as a daughter figure let alone like her." Faith explained.

"You should see the way she's treated Archie and Asa the past few days." Alec told the Garroway woman.

"Walking around and demanding them along with everyone else like she owns the place?" Faith guessed and she wasn't surprised when Alec nodded in agreement.

"I don't care what this clave thing or you want, I'm going to find Dot." Alec spoke as he impersonated Clary making Faith laugh at his spot on impression of the red haired girl.

"That was so good." Faith praised the eldest Lightwood before she took her turn and impersonated Clary and for the next while both Alec and Faith got to know each other and continued to make fun of Clary and it really helped them take their minds off of Asakhe for a little while, which is exactly what they both needed or else they would have gone haywire.

ARCHIE, BELLY, EMMA, IZZY AND MADDY WALKED THROUGH THE INSTITUTE ALONGSIDE MARYSE AS THEY DISCUSSED THE OUTCOME OF THEIR ACTIONS AGAINST THE SEELIES.

"You're sure the seelies think that Valentine killed their scouts?" Maryse asked her eldest daughter as the group of six continued to walk through the institute.

Izzy nodded her head as she she shared a look with the others. "It's why they've broken off contact with the clave. They're considering switching sides."

"That doesn't make any sense." Maryse spoke in sync with her youngest daughter and goddaughters parabatai.

"That's totally irrational." Archie spoke making Maryse nod in agreement with the Fairchild boy as she let out a slight scoff.

"Why would the seelies wanna switch sides when the downworld queen fights for both sides?" Emma questioned, knowing that the seelies or any of downworlders for that matter wouldn't go against Asakhe like that despite the drama with Valentine that's taken place the last few days and especially without her knowledge.

"Mother, it's self preservation." Izzy spoke up again.

"They think Valentine can win, Seelies always wanna be in the winning team." She finished.

Maryse stopped her movements making the shadowhunters with her do the same. The lightwood woman turned and faced the five younger shadowhunters.

"If the seelies want to be on a winning then they would still stand beside us and would have never stopped communicating with the clave but then again never trust the people who can't lie, they find much more inventive ways to stab you in the back." Maryse explained before turning to look her eldest daughter in the eyes.

"I suppose you find that attractive." She finished and with that she turned around and walked away leaving the five shadowhunters there together.

Archie, Belly, Maddy and Emma shared a look with each other and with a nod they walked off together knowing that they wanted to discuss what was happening with Asakhe.

Their departure left Isabelle by herself to her thoughts before she as well eventually made her way to her room.

BACK IN THE BANE COUPLE'S APARTMENT, CLARY WAS SITTING BESIDE LUKE AS HE SLEPT ON THE COUCH WHILST LOOKING OVER TO ISIAH ON THE OTHER COUCH ONCE IN A WHILE.

Magnus and Lizzie were working together like the power couple that they are to make something that would help the two werewolves heal.

"You okay?" Simon asked Clary, growing worried when all the girl did was nod in agreement.

"Hey, it's me, I know how much they mean to you." Simon stated.

"How could I have doubted them?" Clary muttered as she looked down at Luke before looking across to Isiah.

"Simon, they're..." Clary paused, her eyes glistening with tears.

"They're the only father figures I've ever known, I can't loose them."

Simon was quick to envelop his best friend in a hug as soon as the first tear ran down her face, he knew Clary needed a form of comfort and support.

"I get a good vibe from the Bane couple." Simon whispered to his best friend.

"They seem like they know what they're doing."

Before Clary could respond Magnus and Lizzie made their way back into the room with either of them holding the pot that they were stirring.

Magnus made his way over to Luke whilst Lizzie made her way over to Isiah.

"The bark will stop their transformations for the time being but both Luke and Isiah need an antidote to stop the poison in their systems." Elizabeth began to explain.

"But we don't have all the ingredients here." Magnus added on and the moment he was finished Clary stood up instantly.

"Just tell me what you need and how to get it."

"No." Chrissy and Josie deadpanned in sync.

"We'll stay here and watch over you along with my father and uncle who will need when they wake up." Chrissy told Clary, leaving no room for argument.

"I'll go." Simon spoke and Josie nodded gratefully at the brunette boy.

Before anyone could respond to Simon, Jace entered the couples apartment with blood covering his face making it seem like he was attacked.

"What in the name?" Lizzie questioned.

"You know what don't care, you're still here." The female vampire shrugged and she almost laughed when she saw Jace's offended face.

"I'll go." Jace spoke up gaining everyone else's attention.

"Jace, what happened to you?" Magnus asked, frowning at the amount of blood on his face.

"Luke's car may have found its way onto a pole when I was stashing it." Jace responded, shrugging his shoulder.

"I don't do mundane driving." He finished.

"Well, no shit Sherlock." Lizzie deadpanned at the same time Simon scoffed. "Yeah, apparently."

Josie grabbed a few tissues from the box on the coffee table and handed them to the blonde boy who nodded gratefully and began to clean the blood off his face.

"What do you need for the antidote?" Jace asked as he continued to clean the last of the blood off his face.

Simon butted in before Magnus could respond and he looked at Jace quiet offended.

"Hey, I got this."

"Asa helped us with it, what was it again." Magnus began to speak his thoughts.

"Oh right, Phoenix eyes, moon salt and Idris fulgurite." Magnus explained to the Wayland male Shadowhunter.

Simon shrugged his shoulders lightly. "One trip to the pharmacy, it'll take two seconds."

"I know a guy." Jace spoke, ignoring Simon before he turned and looked at the mundane before turning his gaze back to the immortal couple.

"And uh....I don't need him." He spoke.

"Too bad you're getting him." Josie, Chrissy and Lizzie spoke in sync at the same time Simon spoke up. "Too bad you're getting me."

"Children, please." Magnus spoke up gaining the groups attention.

"It'll be quicker with the both of you and if something requires mundane driving at least one of you can drive." Chrissy spoke.

"Besides we trust Simon more than you." Josie added in a deadpanned tone.

Simon turned to Jace with a triumphant smirk before making his way out the apartment with Jace not far behind him.

"Oh one more thing." Magnus spoke up stopping the duo in their tracks.

"Please update Archie, Maddy, Bella and Emma on Asakhe's condition, I'm sure they're worried, she's stable and most of her wounds are healed." Magnus informed the duo.

"Is she still here?" Simon asked, concerned for his second big sister.

Magnus and Lizzie both nodded and Simon sighed in relief.

"Her scars were terrible, I can only imagine the scars that will be left behind.....especially from when she was electrocuted." Simon mumbled to himself as he turned around and left with Jace in tow.

"Just don't talk to me." Jace told the brunette boy as they were leaving.

"Don't tell me not to because I will do the exact opposite of everything you say." Simon sassed the blonde male before the door to the apartment shut closed.

Magnus and Elizabeth looked at each other in shock having heard Simon's mumbling with their advanced hearing.

Elizabeth immediately stood up, catching the others attention and walked straight into her husbands already open arms as she felt the tears threatening to spill.

"How did we not notice?" Elizabeth asked her husband as she tightened her grip around the warlocks waist.

"Alec must've already taken care of those scars before he brought her here." Magnus mumbled as he stroked his wife's hair.

"Our poor granddaughter, Magnus, our granddaughter." Lizzie mumbled as she buried her head into Magnus chest, basking in her husbands comfort.

"I know Liz, I know but she's strong, she's here and her condition is stable." Magnus assured as he continues to run his fingers through her hair, calming her slightly.

The three girls watched the scene between the immortal couple with concern wondering what could've caused them to be so distressed so quickly.

MEANWHILE MADDY, ARCHIE, EMMA AND BELLY ALL SAT IN THE SECOND YOUNGEST LIGHTWOODS ROOM TRYING TO KEEP THEMSELVES DISTRACTED BUT IT WASN'T WORKING.

Suddenly Archie's phone pinged getting the three girls attention who watched as Archie read a text message.

"What is it?" Emma asked, hoping that by some miracle it was an update on her blonde princess sister.

"It's from Simon, he says that Asa's okay and although she's still unconscious, she's stable." Archie informed the three girls who all let out sighs of relief.

"Alec's still with her, I'm sure he's making sure she's okay." Madelaine spoke.

"Is anyone else routing so hard for Alec and Asa?" Archie asked, desperately needing to know if anyone else shipped the two as much as he did.

"Yes!" Emma and Belly exclaimed whilst Maddy only chuckled as she nodded.

"Like come on, the nicknames 'pretty boy', 'blonde beauty'." Archie smiled.

"The way they entered the training room laughing together." Emma gushed.

"The way Alec holds her with such care and even unconscious Asa senses him and snuggles close to him." Belly smiled as she took her turn to gush over how cute the two were.

"I'll admit, I was a bit weary at first especially with everything Asa's been through but after the last few days, I can truly tell Alec cares for Asa and she's been the happiest she can possibly be and that's thanks to Alec." Maddy spoke up.

The other three shadowhunters smiled at the Lewis girl, knowing how protective she was of her sister and they were happy that she came around.

A few moments later the door to the second youngest Lightwoods room opened to reveal Isabelle, who closed the door behind her before sitting her younger sister on her bed.

"Mom's in rare form today." Izzy commented, not seeming to understand that she was interrupting something but the other four didn't really mind.

"She's been different since she got back from Idris." Arabella said.

"If you say so." Izzy mumbled before sighing. "Same old, judgemental mom with me." She finished before turning to the blonde Wayland girl.

"Have you spoken to Jace yet?" She questioned.

"No and I don't want to." Emma deadpanned before she scoffed.

"Have you?" Izzy asked her biological younger sister.

"No and I don't want to." Arabella deadpanned as she repeated her parabatai's words.

"He can call us, when he's done obsessing with Clary, when he treats Asakhe like the amazing she person is and when he realises that he's hurt our feelings." Emma expanded.

"Bella, Emma, you both need to call Jace." Izzy butted in.

"Isabelle, you can't force them to talk to Jace besides it's Jace who needs to grow a pair of balls and apologise to his sisters." Archie scolded the eldest Lightwood daughter.

Bella and Emma both sent the Fairchild boy a grateful look before the room was filled with silence leaving everyone to their thoughts.

They were so overcome with their thoughts that they didn't notice the older man and younger boy appear by the bedroom door.

"No 'welcome home' for the old man." The man spoke up, snapping everyone out of their thoughts and gaining their attention.

Everyone turned to the door only spot the Lightwood's father, Robert and the youngest son and child, Max aka their brother enter the room.

Max was quick to run his sisters and he hugged his eldest sister whilst Bella and Emma ran to hug their father.

"Max!" Izzy exclaimed happily as she hugged her little brother tightly.

"Papa!" Bella exclaimed as she and Emma hugged the Lightwood man tightly.

"Princesses!" Robert exclaimed as he brought both his daughters into his arms and hugged them tightly.

Max then went to hug Bella and Emma leaving Izzy to hug her father.

"Madelaine, Archie." Robert greeted the other two shadowhunters who smiled at the man before giving him a hug as well before turning to Bella as she spoke up.

"Max, meet Archie Fray and Madelaine Lewis, Arch, Mads meet Max, the little trouble making tornado of the Lightwood siblings." Bella smiled before ticking king her baby brother as he giggled.

"Anyways, Max, not that we're not happy to see you but what are you doing back so early?" Emma questioned as Max hugged Madelaine who happily hugged him back.

"Got in trouble at Mumbai." Max admitted bashful before giving an innocent shrug.

"Oh, what'd you do?" Archie asked teasingly as the youngest Lightwood moved to give him a hug next.

"Nothing." Max answered.

Robert sighed before he looked at the group of shadowhunters before him. "He started a fire with his stele during rune studies." He explained.

Madelaine couldn't help but laugh softly and shake her head fondly at Max's antics.

"Max." Emma, Bella and Izzy scolded in fake tones of disappointment.

"I told you I was hungry." Max defended.

"I was trying to draw the nourishment rune." He stated.

This time Archie, Bella and Emma joined in on Madelaine's laughter.

"I can't even lie, Asa would be so proud." Emma spoke.

Robert couldn't help but fondly shake his head at the mention of the blonde princess.

"Buddy, you do know those runes look nothing a like though right?" Archie questioned.

"Well they do to me." Max sassed as he looked between his father and the others.

"Max, go up to your room, open the gray book and look up the extinguish rune." Robert told his son.

With a sigh Max nodded his head and with a quick goodbye to the others he left the room and headed to his own.

Robert then turned back to the other shadowhunters in the room.

"Where is Clary Fairchild?" Robert asked and he was immediately with groans from everyone except Izzy.

"Your mother said she's missing." Robert finished.

"She's not missing, she's with Jace." Emma answered as she rolled her eyes at the thought of the two.

"We can't have that girl out of institute control." Robert began before he asked another question.

"Where's Asakhe?" Robert questioned and the four close to the princess shared a look.

"I've been meaning to see her ever since I heard she was here." Robert continued.

"Oh, she went out for a walk, she should be back soon." Madelaine spoke up and Robert nodded even though he was unsure.

"I hope she's safe at the very least, everyone knows she's being targeted, everyone and their mothers are looking for her also not to mention it's a security risk for both her and Clary." Robert explained.

"At least I know Asa is more than capable of defending herself but Clary on the other hand.." Robert trailed off.

"You can insult her Robert, nobody will be offended." Archie spoke up and Robert gave him a look to which he along with Maddy, Emma and Bella laughed.

"Please just get them both back here now." Robert pleaded.

"We'll make sure Asa gets back safe." Arabella assured her father.

Robert smiled at his daughter before turning around and leaving the room, closing the door behind him, leaving the shadowhunters in peace.

"I'm not calling Jace." Emma spoke up.

"Me neither." Archie, Bella and Maddy agreed in sync.

"I'd rather hear Simon rant about nonsense in Star Wars that I don't understand." Madeliane smiled.

FAITH AND ALEC CHATTED SOFTLY AMONGST EACH OTHER AS THEY BOTH WERE STILL IN THE GUEST ROOM WITH ASA, FAITH OBVIOUSLY HAVING GONE AND CHECKED ON LUKE AND ISIAH.

Alec let his eyes drift over to the blonde princess and he squeezed her hand gently, his heart sinking into his stomach at the thought of the princess not waking up anytime soon.

Faith could clearly see the worry and swirl of other emotions in Alec's eyes as he watched her niece and she knew that Alec cared for her.

The Garroway woman let a soft smile grace her features, she knew Asa was in good hands with the eldest Lightwood.

Faith stood up. "I'm gonna go check up on Luke and Isiah, let me know if she wakes up." Faith spoke and Alec nodded with a soft smile.

Faith squeezed Alec gently on the shoulder before she whispered. "Thank you for caring for her."

With that said the woman left the room, leaving Alec and Asa in peace.

The eldest lightwood rested his head on the bed as he took a deep breath.

Alec suddenly felt his hand being squeezed and he snapped his head up to the blonde princess who had begun to shift on the covers.

Alec watched as Asa's eyes slowly fluttered open and she adjusted to her surroundings.

The blonde princess looked around the room and her eyes soon landed on Alec and she let out a breath of relief.

"Alec." Asa croaked out with a smile.

"Hey, there princess." Alec smiled as he tucked a piece of Asa's blonde hair behind her ear.

Asa then moved to sit up, Alec moving quickly to help her and make sure she wasn't going to hurt herself.

The eldest Lightwood then reached out for the glass of water that was on the bedside table and handed it to the blonde girl, who smiled gratefully before bringing the glass to her lips.

"Ah! Water never tasted so good." Asa smiled when she finished the glass and handed it back to Alec who placed it back on the beside table.

"You were definitely the child who ran inside the house after playing and chugged a glass of water before rushing back outside." Alec smiled at the princess.

"You're not wrong." Asa smiled as she scooted over on the bed before patting the spot beside her for Alec.

The eldest Lightwood was quick to take the offer and he took off his shoes before moving to sit beside the blonde who then covered him with the some of the blanket she given.

The princess quickly yet carefully moved so that she was now resting her head on Alec's chest as she tangled their legs together.

"How are you feeling?" Alec asked softly in concern as he began to run his fingers through the princess's blonde hair.

Asa tilted her head so that she could make eye contact with Alec.

"Much better especially with you beside me." She smiled truthfully.

"Now goodnight." Asa smiled before she leaned up and pressed her lips to Alec's in a soft kiss before placing her head back on his chest and falling back asleep.

Alec went to respond but was met with soft, adorable snores coming from Asakhe and he chuckled whilst fondly shaking his head at the blonde girl.

Alec figured it couldn't hurt to get some sleep as well especially after worrying about the princess for many hours, so he let his eyes fall shut and sleep consume him for a little bit.

ARCHIE, BELLA, MADDY AND EMMA WERE ALL TRAINING WITH EACH OTHER IN PAIRS USING THE WOODEN STICKS THAT WERE ON THE STANDS.

Archie and Bella were a pair leaving Emma and Maddy to be the other pair, the four had a bit of pent up anger along with still being worried about Asakhe so they needed this.

As they were training with each other they didn't notice a panicked Isabelle walking up to them.

The Lightwood daughter had overheard her mother and father talking about what they were going to do about Alec and she needed to tell her siblings so that just maybe they could plan something to get Alec out of it.

"You guys, Alec can't do it." Izzy spoke up gaining the other four shadowhunters attention. "He has to say no." She continued.

"What are you talking about?" Emma questioned.

"Say no to what?" Bella questioned as well.

"They're gonna make Alec marry." Izzy revealed officially making the four shadowhunters stop their training.

"Who's they?" Archie questioned even though he had an idea.

"Our parents." Izzy revealed. "They're making plans for us but especially Alec." Izzy explained.

Emma and Bella shook their heads not wanting to believe what their sister was telling them at that moment.

"No, you heard wrong." Bella said.

With that the four shadowhunters got back to training not needing anymore information to throw overboard.

"It's true you guys." Izzy spoke sadly.

"They need a political alliance quickly to restore our family name and our influence at the clave." She explained.

Once again the four shadowhunters stopped their training and all let out perfectly in sync scoffs.

"I knew my sister would come back and bite us all in our asses." Archie muttered making Emma, Bella and Maddy give him soft looks.

"What are you doing anyways?" Madelaine asked Isabelle, the anger in her tone evident.

"They need me to convince the Clave to placate the seelies somehow." Izzy sighed, not really liking how angry the Lewis girl was with her.

"You're playing the diplomat again? After everything Alec's done?" Emma asked her adoptive sister.

"I know that but I'm the only one with ties to the seelies." She answered.

"Is that what you're calling it now?" Arabella scoffed.

"You guys I'm on Alec's side, on yours as well." Izzy spoke softly.

"Are you?" Archie asked.

"Because as far as we're concerned this is all happening because you, Jace and Clary can't follow the rules and ask the clave for permission." Maddy stated.

"I don't think you understand the pressure you three have put Alec under not to mention Asakhe as well." Emma scolded Izzy harshly.

"And not even including all that Alec has followed, he's given up everything!" Arabella exclaimed towards her elder sister.

"We'll find a way to get Alec out of this, all of us out of this." Izzy spoke.

"YOU do that because if you fail, trust me when I say it's not only Alec's heart you'll be breaking." Arabella spoke harshly.

Izzy reached out to her younger sister and placed a hand on her shoulder but in anger Arabella yanked her sisters hand off of her.

"Get your hands off of my body." Arabella hissed at her sister.

"Bells, let's go." Archie spoke softly as he placed a hand on the youngest Lightwood daughters shoulder calming her down.

Bella nodded and with that the four shadowhunters left the training room leaving Isabelle by herself in the training room, ignoring her as she called out to them.

ALEC AND ASA HAD WALKED INTO THE LIVING ROOM AND THE BLONDE WAS IMMEDIATELY PULLED INTO A HUG BY HER AUNT.

"Aunty Fay." Asa sighed as she practically melted into her aunts embrace before pulling away after a few moments so she could hug Josie as she and her sister approached.

"Hey girl." Josie sighed in relief as she hugged her blonde friend.

Asa was surprised when she pulled away from Josie only to be brought into a hug by Christina but nine the less she hugged the girl back.

"Hey Asa, glad you're awake." Chrissy sighed as she hugged the princess tightly.

"Good to see you to as well Chrissy." Asa smiled.

The princess pulled away from the Garroway girl only for her eyes to widen as she took in the fact that her grandfather was practically on the verge of going unconscious in her grandmothers arms.

"Oh by the angel!" Asa swore. "Grandpa what's wrong, what's happening?" She asked as she approached her grandparents, kneeling on the floor beside them.

"I'm running out of magic." Magnus strained out before looking up at his granddaughters with pleading eyes.

"Please help Clary and hold your uncles down." Magnus spoke.

"Like hell, I'm gonna help her when you need me more." Asa told her grandfather before turning to the Garroway woman.

"I need one of you to hold Luke down whilst the other two hold down Isiah." Asa instructed and doing as told the Garroway girls spilt up.

Josie went to help Clary hold her uncle down whilst Chrissy and Faith went to hold down Isiah.

The princess watched as the blue glow of her grandfathers magic surrounded her uncles bodies which instantly told her what the warlock was trying to do.

Asa sighed as she took in the condition her uncles were in and her mind she knew what she was about to do but in doing so she exposes her secrets to Josie, Chrissy and Clary but if she was being honest she could care less.

"What do I do?" Clary asked, the panic evident in her voice, she couldn't handle seeing her father figures in the state that they were in.

"Shut up and let me think." Asa snapped at the red haired girl before turning to her grandparents.

"Have they taken that antidote I helped you guys with?" Asa asked her grandmother who was quick to nod in agreement.

"Well I take that somebody went out to get supplies so that means we can't leave them but the potion would still need Komodo scale." Asa explained and her worry grew as she watched as her grandfather continued to loose energy.

Asakhe turned to Clary and Josie. "Both of you please find it, split it equally between the two potions and add the rest when the rest of the supplies that are need arrive doing the same thing, you'll have to then feed it to Luke and Isiah." The princess explained to the two girls.

Both of them nodded before rushing off but Chrissy stayed back for a few moments.

"Thank you for this." Chrissy told Asakhe gratefully.

The blonde princess only shrugged it off. "You and your sister aren't loosing your uncle and father, Aunt Fay isn't loosing her husband and brother in law and I'm not loosing my uncles especially when I have something to say about it." Asa assured with a soft smile which Chrissy returned before sighing off to help Clary.

The princess then turned to Alec. "Scold me later but right now I'm gonna need you beside me." Asa pleaded with the eldest Lightwood.

Alec sighed. "I'm holding you to that but what do you need me to do?" Alec said.

Asa smiled at Alec, truly grateful that he was here for her like he has since the night they met.

"Catch me if I faint and wake me up with a true loves kiss." Asa smiled a little cheekily before turning back to her grandparents and kneeling beside them on the ground once more.

"Asa." Magnus pleaded whilst shaking his head when he saw his granddaughters hand held out to him.

"Don't even try it." Asa hissed lightly at her grandfather whilst shaking her head, ignoring her eyes starting to fill with tears once again.

"We do this together because there's not a chance in hell I would ever take the chance of loosing you or my uncles." Asa spoke, letting the tears fall down her cheeks this time around.

With that said Asa took the high warlocks hand in hers and Alec was quick to rush to her side and he and Lizzie watched in awe as the grandfather and granddaughters magics worked together.

A glow which was a mixture of blue and gold surrounded the two werewolves as Magnus and Asakhe held on to each other providing each other with the strength they needed.

"Just hang on a little longer grandpa, I'm here and I'm not letting go." Asa told the warlock despite feeling the little strength she had quickly depleting.

Despite the circumstances as long as her family was okay at the end of the day the blonde princess could care less about what happens to her.

The grandfather and granddaughters magic was powerful alone but together it was ten thousand times stronger and if the building shaking wasn't enough to prove that then what could?

The door to the apartment burst open revealing Archie, Bella, Emma and Madelaine with Simon and Jace now hot on their heels.

"Oh my gosh Asa!" Bella exclaimed as she rushed over to her brother who was right beside the blonde princess, Archie, Maddy and Emma right behind her.

Asa felt the pain taking over again but she wasn't about to let her grandfather do this alone like he had been doing.

The blonde princess let her head fall against Alec's chest, his presence giving her the bit of motivation that she needed to keep going.

"You're almost there Asa, both you and Magnus are doing good." Maddy encouraged her parabatai.

"Is he okay?" Asa asked referring to the warlock.

"He is but are you?" Alec asked as he tightened the grip he had around the girls waist just slightly.

Chrissy and Clary came rushing through to the others and immediately Clary was beside Luke whilst Chrissy rushed to her father and both girls fed either wolf the potion.

Everyone held their breaths as they waited for the werewolves to open their eyes and breathed in relief when they did so, both of them beginning to wake up.

An exhausted Magnus fell against his wife whilst an exhausted blonde princess fell against Alec.

The blonde wrapped her arm around Alec's neck and snuggled further into him.

The eldest Lightwood carefully moved the blonde so that she was now situated in his lap and the blonde's head fell into the crook of his neck as she let her eyes close for a few moments.

"Asa." Bella called out softly for her blonde sister, her tears falling down her cheeks, Emma and Maddy weren't any better.

Bella cried in relief when the blond princess lifted her hand out for her to take which she did.

With Alec and Archie's help, the blonde princess was able to stand up and keep herself stable.

Asa was quick to wrap her arms around Archie and the Fairchild hugged his little sister tightly careful as to not hurt her.

Emma, Bella and Maddy were quick to make it a group hug, far too impatient to wait for their own solo hugs, they were just glad that Asa was okay.

The five pulled away from each other and Asa turned around and she smiled as she spotted her uncles both awake and already doing much better.

Considering the fact that Luke was closer to her, the blonde princess rushed towards the werewolf and hugged him tightly, earning a soft chuckle from him.

"Hello to you as well Asa." Luke greeted with a soft smile, happy to have his niece in his arms after not seeing her for the last while.

The princess pulled away from her uncle before turning to everyone.

"I never thought I would have to say this but getting hurt and being on the verge of death is my thing, so I need you all to GET IT TOGETHER!" She announced and was met with laughter from her family and friends.

The blonde princess then stood up and rushed over to Isiah, giving him a bone crushing hug as well.

"Hey there tribrid princess." Isiah whispered as he hugged his niece back before letting her go after a few minutes.

Asakhe then rushed over to her grandfather and hugged him tightly making the warlock smile he returned the embrace.

Asa rested her head on her grandfather chest as she took a few deep breaths to calm herself, she was just glad he was okay and Magnus was happy that his granddaughter was alright as well.

"I love you." Asa told her grandfather as she closed her eyes in content.

"I love you too my little glitter cupcake." Magnus smiled before he placed a kiss to his granddaughters hair.

IT WAS LATER THAT NIGHT AFTER EVERYTHING HAD SETTLED DOWN AND ARCHIE, ASAKHE, MADDY, BELLA, ALEC AND EMMA WERE WITH LIZZIE AND MAGNUS.

The princess used a bit of her magic to clean the blood off the couches that her uncles had previously occupied.

"What's on your mind my little glitter cupcake?" Magnus questioned as and Elizabeth entered the room with a tray of hot chocolate with a cup for everyone.

The warlocks question made everyone turn to the blonde princess only to see her with a distant look in her eyes.

"I just can't help but feel I would've been safer in France then I am now back in the shadow world despite being hunted down back home." Asa finally spoke up.

"Now I don't even know how they're doing and I can't even begin to imagine the pain I'm causing my mom." Asa continued.

"My little sparkle princess you probably would've been on the verge of death a long time ago if those people got their hands on you back in France." Lizzie told her granddaughter.

Everyone watched as the blonde princess grabbed a mug of hot chocolate from the tray before leaning back carefully against the couch and taking a sip of the warm beverage.

"That's the thing though grandma, I can't help but think, would that have been so bad?" Asa spoke again breaking the silence.

Everyone turned to Asakhe in shock.

"What are you saying?" Madelaine asked her parabatai.

"I don't know Mads, okay!" Asa exclaimed softly as she set the cup of hot chocolate back down on the coffee table before practically throwing herself into Alec arms.

"I just hate burdening you all like this." She sighed sadly.

"You could never be a burden Asa." Emma assured the girl.

"It just didn't feel that way sometimes." Asa shrugged.

"Shhh, you're okay princess, it's okay." Alec muttered as he pulled the blonde girl even closer if that was possible.
