your pov:
I drive home and get in the shower, I turn on some music and look for a song to sing at karaoke dokie. I'm in the shower for a while when I get out it's 4:30. I get out and do my hair then I go to my room to pick out an outfit. I pick out a brown sweater, a black skirt and some tights with converse. I do my makeup, and spray some perfume. After I do all that it's 5:15, I hurry up and get back to jade's. I knock on the door, and she opens it. She looks absolutely stunning for some reason. She's not dressed super fancy or anything, but she looks so gorgeous. I stare at her not even saying hi.
"hey are you ready to go, because I am I just have to gra-.." she says cutting her self off "what are you staring at" she questions
"I um nothing!" I blurt out
"I don't like when you lie to me" she says in a scary voice
"i'm not lying" I say squeezing past her and chuckling awkwardly
she grabs my hand and pulls me back to her "what were you staring at?" she questions
"you!" I blurt out covering my mouth after I say it
"what about me?" she asks smirking
"can we just go??" I ask crossing my arms
"no not until you tell me why you were staring at me?" she says still smirking
"cuz your pretty." I say annoyed
"oh so you think i'm pretty?" she asks getting closer
"pretty annoying," I say rolling my eyes
"what." she says trying to scare me
"you know you don't scare me right?" I reply "let's just go!" I say rolling my eyes and dragging her out of the door
we get there and and andre and tori are sitting at the table. we walk over there, and sit down.
"hey guys, where is everyone else?" I ask
"does it matter?" jade asks looking at me
"yes it does!" I answer rolling my eyes
"cat and Robbie couldn't make it" andre answers
"oh okay, did you guys order yet?" I ask
"no not yet!" tori tells me
the waiter comes over and asks us what we want to drink. we all tell him.
"why thank you mr. handsome waiter, maybe after this you can have a sweet taste of me" jade mocks tori after the guy walks away
"I do not talk like that?! right guys?" tori ask gesturing towards me and andre
me and andre give each other a look "oh why of course not!" "oh heavens no!" me and andre mock simultaneously
"whatever!" tori says laughing "me and andre already signed up to sing you guys should go tell the dj what songs you wanna sing" tori suggests
jade stands up "stay here we are singing together, i'm gonna go pick the song, also i'm only going because I want too"
"but what song are you going to pick, what if i don't know it??" I ask
"you do." she answers and walks away
she picks the the song comes back and sits down. we all are talking and having a good time.
"it sucks that cat and robbie couldn't come" tori says
"not really." jade adds
"don't be mean!" I say to jade
"fine you people really want them here? i'll get them here," jade says smirking
"how?" I ask
"you'll see" she pulls out her phone and calls cat, I look at cat's name on her phone, it's 'red headed idiot'.
cat picks up "hiii jade!"
"hey cat, there is an emergency and karaoke dokie, get here now, even if you have to run. oh and bring Robbie too" she says then she hangs up
"well that one way to get 'em here" andre says
"next up singing is tori vega and andre harris!" dj announces through the mic
they both get up on the stage and grab mics, me and jade both cheer them on. jade whistles at them.
"go andre and tori!" I yell
they start sing together and they sound great, everyone's clapping to the music and me and jade are dancing along.
"I always thought they would be a great couple" I say to jade
"yeah," she replies
I watch them they have amazing chemistry when they sing together. The way they smile at each other, and the way they look at each other, they would be a great couple. The song ends and everyone claps. me and jade cheer for them, as they walk back to the table.
"that was really good! you guys did great!" I tell them
"yeah that was great andre" jade say putting emphasis on andre
tori rolls her eyes, and I give jade a look. after a minute cat and Robbie come running in. all sweaty and gross.
"what's the emergency??" Robbie ask frantically
"you guys look gross" jade says
"yeah we ran all the way here" cat says through heavy breaths
"you ran here?" jade asks
"yeah you told me to.." cat says back
"no that was just, i meant like, you know what never mind" jade says giving up
robbie turns to cat "so we didn't have to run here??!"
"what would make you HAVE to run here?" andre asks
"jade told me too" cat says quietly
"next up sining is jade west and y/n l/n!" the dj shouts
"oh that's us!" I stand up and jade grabs my hand pulling my on stage
I hear all of our friends clapping and cheering us on. I lean over to jade "what are we singing?" I whisper
"you'll see" she says as the music starts playing
I recognize the song immediately, the song is 'okay'.
we start singing and dancing together on stage. As we're singing together I notice how much I really like jade, and I want to be with her. I can't be with her she doesn't want me, even if she doesn't want beck she doesn't want me either. The more and more we sing together the more upset I get. after the song ends the whole place cheers for us, we go sit down.
"that was great you guys should be duet partners more often!" tori says
"yeah thanks." I say quietly "i need some air" I get up and go stand outside
"go check on her." jade says to andre
"what! why don't you do it???" he asks
"because it's about me! just go" jade replies
"but i-..!" andre tries to protest
"go now."
"ah damn it!" andre gets up and goes outside "heyyy girl"
"hi" I say quietly
"what's going on" andre gives me a look "you like jade don't you?"
I turn to him and slowly nod "but she would never like me.." I add
"you don't know that!" he says
"no I don't..but you could find out for me!" I say frantically
"no way!" he says back
"please, it's important pleaseeee" I beg
"fine." he says smiling and rolling his eyes
"thank you so much" I hug him "you are the best!" I say letting go and running back inside
he follows and we walk back to the table, when we get there cats in my spot.
"you took my spot!" I say joking
"there's one right there," she says innocently
jade takes one hand and shoves her out of the chair.
"hey!" me and cat say simultaneously
"now you can have your spot back" she says smirking
I sit down "there was no need for that" cat says sitting down in her the chair pouting
the rest of the night is a lot of fun, 'rex' goes up and sings, and so does cat. Cat might not be the smartest but she has an amazing voice. I take out my phone and we all take a picture, in the picture jade has her arm around me. beck comments "thanks for the invite". everyone wants to respond and tell him why he didn't get an invite, but I stop them. It's about 10:30 and karaoke dokie closes at 11:00. the waiter comes over and gives us the bill. we all pull out our wallets and so do I.
"put that away." jade demands
"what?? why?" i ask knowing why
"put it away!" she demands
"that didn't sound like a question" I say raising an eyebrow
she sighs snatches the wallet out of my hand and throws it across the place, it almost hits some lady.
"oh my god i'm so sorry!" I tell the lady "why would you do that" I turn and say to jade
"I told you to put it away" she defends
"go pick it up!" I say
"oh" she says exaggerated "i'm not doing that"
"your the one who threw it!! i'm not picking it up" I say back
"well neither am I!" she say crossing her arms "so i guess you don't have a wallet anymore"
"oh my god, cat will you please go pick that up?" I ask cat nicely
"why me?" she ask
"i'm trying to make a point, will you just pleaseee go pick it up" i reply
"okay" she agrees
cat leaves her money and goes to pick up the wallet, the waiter comes and takes all the money and jade pays for me.
"your welcome" jade says to me as the waiter walks away
"you could have just told me you were gonna pay for me, but thank you" I say rolling my eyes and trying to hide my smile
"yeah whatever" she's says trying to hide hers
we all get up, walk out and say our goodbyes. me and jade get in her car.
"so, what were the hysterics earlier about?" jade asks as she drives
"I don't know what your talking about" I play dumb
"yeah okay," she says not convinced "what were you saying last night, before you turned over?" she questions
"what's with all the questions I feel like i'm being interrogated!" I slide down into my seat and put my knees up to my chest
"tell me" she demands
"I don't want to and you can't make me," i say
"oh i'll find a way to make you," she says smirking and placing her hand on my thigh
"okay, what do you mean by that because i'm not sure how to take that.." I ask skeptically
"you'll find out" she answers not looking at me and still smirking
"let's talk about something else, like the full moon jam" I say smiling
"what about it"
"did you finish your song?"
"no not yet"
"well I was wondering if you wanted to go together, i know we would hangout anyways but like we could drive together and get ready together and stuff.." I ask nervously
"yeah of course," she answers hiding her smile
"you know you don't have to hide your smile, it's perfectly fine to be happy" I say looking at her
"oh shut up" she replies
"you know it's the truthhh"
she doesn't answer, but i can still her rolling her eyes and still hiding her smile. we get back to her house and I get in my car and drive home.
