Tom and Jerry, Y/N and Niki, crazy and crazier, dumb and dumber, the list could go on and on, multiple words to describe your relationship with Niki.
You and Niki have been friends since middle school, it has always been the 2 of you and a few other friends from a mutual friend group. But everyone could agree that you and Niki were the most chaotic and closest friends. Over time, you began to realize that you had feelings for the said male, you attempt to hide it as you didn't want it to be the reason for the end of your friendship with Niki, on the other hand, Niki too was going through the same.
"Pst, Y/N, what'd you get on the math test" Niki whispers. Both you and Niki were in math class, the teacher passing out test papers as your classmates were talking amongst themselves. You furrowed your eyebrows at Niki while pressing your lips together
"Tell me your score first" you reply
"Why? Scared that you may have a lower score than mine?" Niki teases
"Psh! Puh-lease, as if!" you say, rolling your eyes playfully, a faint blush creeping up your cheeks. Niki shakes his head as he turns his paper towards you
"I got a 86%!" Niki exclaims, oh wow..
"Ha! I got a 90%!" you respond, you shove your test paper on top of Niki's as the number '90' was written in red at the top
"Aw damn!" Niki says, he slumps sadly on his seat, a pout forming on his face, you laugh slightly at his reaction as you pinch his cheek
"It's okay Riki, maybe you'll get it next time" you cooe, Niki groaned at your comment as he sat back up, he put his head on the palm of his hand, resting his arm against the desk in front of him
"You said that 50 tests ago, I'm still waiting for that next time" Niki sighs, you take a deep breath after shoving your test in your bag, you let a smile rest on your face as you turn to the sulky male beside you
"Then continue to wait because it ain't happening soon" you comment, you then boop a finger on Niki's nose, quickly leaving as you faintly heard his loud complaints following you from behind.

Another day, another slay-
"Y/N! WAIT FOR MEEEEEEEE"
Your train of thoughts were quickly cut down as you heard a familiar loud voice approaching you, you turn around to see the sight of Nishimura Riki running down the hill from behind you, you laughed at the way he ran as you crossed your arms to wait for him.
"Why *gasp* did you *gasp* leave me" Niki was on the verge of dying, he was bent down, breathing hard as he looked like he got rescued from drowning not too long ago. You snickered yet again at the image in front of your eyes, Niki giving a small glare at your reaction
"I thought we were meeting in front of your house today!" Niki whines, a very visible pout was once again formed on his face as he grabbed your bag that you had dropped from laughing at him earlier. You wiped some tears away from laughing so hard as you open your mouth to answer the male
"I'm sorry! I forgot! I was in a rush to get to school cause I thought I woke up late, but I forgot you sped my alarm clock up an hour— actually, technically its your fault" you explain, Niki scrunched up his nose at your excuse
"Yah yah whatever, I'll let it slip this time" Niki says, you roll your eyes at the male
"It's your fault! I don't even know why you're complaining" you say, Niki instantly thinks of a comeback to tease you after your reply, though, you too were able to come up with another response as you and Niki began to bicker on your way to school.
At the entrance of the school building stood your friend group, as they were finally able to see a glimpse of both you and Niki at the distance they all let out a sigh of relief as they were wondering what took you guys so long, but the sight of the two of you clearly bickering had cleared the question from their minds as they sweat dropped at the view
"Oh my gosh! Stop arguing!" Sunoo stood in front of you and Niki as he had his arms crossed, the two of you quickly looked at the older male a glare flashing across both of your eyes
"We're not arguing!" you and Niki exclaim in unison, you guys then go back to bickering about whatever you guys had talked about before
"Talk about soulmates" Jake says, watching the duo quickly change into another topic to argue about, as you both start walking away, you guys turn again once more to look at Jake
"We aren't soulmates!"
"This is hurting my head, I'm leaving" Jungwon sighs
You and Niki were now making your way to your classroom, the hallways were filled with a few students wandering around to pass time before class started, there was about half an hour left until 1st period begins so the shared classroom between Niki and you was seen empty. The 2 of you enter the classroom, instantly continuing your conversation from earlier
"Well maybe if you know how feelings worked then you wouldn't have to be thinking about that!" Niki starts
"What the heck to you mean?! I do know how feelings work!"
"Yeah right! Not once have you ever mentioned you liking anyone so I doubt it!"
"Just because I didn't say I liked anyone doesn't mean I don't like anyone!"
"Then who do you like?!"
"Why do you care?"
"Because you're my friend!"
"You called me a roach earlier?!"
"I was just teasing you! You're a cute roach"
"Go dump yourself in the trash can Nishimura!"
Niki starts laughing hysterically as he watched you plop yourself at your desk after the teasing he did toward you, you grumbled at the boy, an annoyed expression on your face as you rolled your eyes who knows how many times.
"I'm sorry Y/N, forgive me please~" Niki was now kneeling next to your desk as he had his hands on your desk, his head resting on top of them. You give a disgusted expression at his face, Niki was obviously offended by the look
"You could at least pretend to be awed by a beautiful face as mine" Niki scoffs, standing up to sit at his desk (which was beside yours)
"Awe! Niki your face is so cute!" you sarcastically say, pinching the boy's cheek the moment he sat down. Niki shoves your hand away before going back to your previous topic
"Going back to the feelings topic, care to tell me who you like now?" Niki asks, you sigh deeply as you put you head on your desk, facing the male while closing your eyes as you pondered on what to say
"Why are you suddenly asking about this?" you question, Niki goes silent for a second as he too puts his head on his desk, facing your face
"I don't know, we've been for a while now so not knowing who we like seems more weird than not knowing" Niki replies, you let out a small hum
"Well guess then" you suggest, Niki lets out a low chuckle
"Why guess when it's obvious! Just say you like me."
You flicker your eyes open to see Niki inches away from your face, his eyes were open too, instantly making eye contact with yours as he awaited an answer. Words were stuck in your throat, so without thinking, you say the first thing that pops in your head
"I like you-" you suddenly start coughing aggressively as you lifted your head up aggressively,
"U-Uhm, I mean-" you start mumbling about random things as you wave your hands around, Niki smiles as he lifts his head up too, a small laugh escaping his mouth.
"So you do?" Niki chuckles, your face goes red as you began playing with your hands, oh well.. I mean, you basically admitted it already
"Yes...yes I do" you reply, you take in a deep breath before trying to play it off
"There! I said it, now just tease me like you always do and let me accept this rejection now before this finally processes in my mind-" you were cut off by another pair of lips resting on yours, your eyes were wide, after a few more seconds Niki broke off the kiss, letting you take in a deep breath if air
"Oops sorry, didn't realize you were about to die" Niki says. You scrunch your nose at the male
"Give me a heads up next time!" you say, unaware of how red your face was. Niki laughs out loud before pinching your cheeks
"Sure Y/N, next time" he laughs
