While Y/n was at school, this is what was happening simultaneously at the hospital.
Flashback:
Hospital - Morning 10 am
After dropping Y/n off at school, Taehyung made his way to the hospital.
Upon entering the Jimin's room, he saw Jimin sitting on the bed flipping through a magazine, and J-Hope was sleeping on the couch.
Taehyung: "Hyung! How are you feeling today?"
Jimin: "Hey, Tae! I'm better. It just started hurting out of nowhere."
Taehyung handed him the packed meals prepared by Jin.
Taehyung: "Jin Hyung asked me to make sure you both eat properly. He acts like a mom sometimes."
Jimin chuckled. Hearing Taehyung and Jimin's laughter, J-Hope woke up.
Taehyung: "Good morning, Hyung. Come have your breakfast first. And you can go home for rest; I am here now."
J-Hope nodded and got up from the couch. He took the seat near Jimin's bed.
Jimin: "Jin Hyung is the best; he made my favorite today. I got tired of hospital food in just one day."
Taehyung: "Anything else you guys need?"
J-Hope: "Nah, I'm good."
As they chatted, the nurse came in to check on Jimin's vitals and give Jimin the shot.
Nurse: "Good Morning, Dr. Jimin. Time for your medication."
Jimin (nervously): "Do I really have to get a shot, though? Can't we just stick to the pills?"
J-Hope (teasingly): "Come on, Jimin, it's just a tiny needle. You won't even feel it."
Jimin: "Tiny or not, it's still a needle, Hyung. Needles are scary."
J-hope: "Well, it's either this shot or more of my lectures. Your choice."
Jimin (sighing): "Fine, but can you at least hold my hand or something?"
Taehyung (smirking): "Aw, look at our tough Jimin-shii, Not afraid of getting stab and 4 stitches, but of a little needle. Maybe I should film this for Y/n to see."
Jimin (defensively): "No filming! And I'm not scared, just... cautious."
Taehyung: "Cautious? Jimin Hyung, it's a flu shot, not a monster under your bed."
J-hope: "Jimin, you're a doctor. You give shots to people all the time. What's the big deal?"
Jimin (gulping): "It's different when you're on the receiving end."
Taehyung (smirking): "You know, maybe we should get you a sticker or a lollipop after this, like we do for Y/n."
Jimin (sarcastically): "Very funny, Tae. Maybe I'll ask for a gold star too."
J-hope: "You won't even notice. It'll be over before you know it."
Jimin (rolling his eyes): "Just get it over with, Nurse."
The nurse chuckled as she prepared the syringe, Jimin eyed the needle worriedly, his fingers nervously playing with the edge of the blanket. While Tae went to hold his hand.
Nurse: "Alright, Dr Jimin, ready?"
Jimin (gulping): "As ready as I'll ever be."
Taehyung (smirking): "Don't worry, Hyung. We're here for moral support."
J-Hope (raising an eyebrow): "Or for some good material for our group chat."
Jimin shot him a glare, but it only fueled J-Hope's mischievous grin.
Taehyung (smirking): "Hold still, Jimin Hyung. This won't hurt a bit."
Jimin (sarcastically): "Oh, great. That's very reassuring."
Nurse approached with the needle, and Jimin tensed, squeezing his eyes shut. J-hope was trying to encourage him while Jimin was scared to death.
J-hope: "You got this, Jimin. Just think of it as a tiny mosquito bite."
Jimin (mumbling): "A mosquito bite with a metal straw attached."
The nurse rolled his sleeves and started wiping his arm while Jimin was taking his hand back out of fear but taehyung hold his arm for the nurse to give the shot, she administered the shot, and Jimin winced in pain. She took out the needle and disposed it.
Nurse: "There we go, all done. See, not so bad, was it?"
Jimin (mumbling): "Easy for you to say."
Taehyung (rolling his eyes): "You're such a drama king, Jimin."
J-Hope: "Now, can we get back to making fun of Jimin for being a scaredy-cat?"
Jimin: "You guys are relentless."
Nurse went back and Taehyung took a seat by the bedside, engaging in conversations about random topics to lighten the mood.
After 1 hour
Jin, Jungkook, Suga, and Namjoon arrived at the hospital. Jin brought the soup for Jimin.
Jin: "Hey, how is my patient doing today?"
Jimin: "Hyung, your food is the best medicine."
Namjoon: "How's the pain, Jimin?"
Jimin: "It comes and goes, but overall, I'm better."
Jin: "Hobi, when will you go home? You should rest."
J-Hope: "I will go home in the afternoon."
Suga (looking at Jimin): "And you too, you're coming home today."
Jimin: "But Hyung, my flu hasn't gone yet."
Namjoon: "It's okay, it's not serious. Even Y/n misses you, so it's better you come home today."
Jungkook: "Okay, then let's get back to our work. Tae Hyung, they called us in the Emergency ward today because of staff shortage."
Namjoon: "I knew this was gonna happen. Everyone stays safe and wears a mask."
Everyone nodded and Namjoon, Jungkook, suga went back to their respective departments.
Jin was busy taking out the soup he brought for Jimin and handed the warm bowl of soup to him.
Jin: "Jimin, make sure you finish all the soup. It's good for you."
Jimin (teasing): "Yes, Mom. I promise I'll finish it."
Everyone in the room burst into laughter.
Taehyung (laughing): "Jin Hyung, you should've seen Jimin's face when the nurse gave him a shot earlier. Pure fear, I tell you."
Jimin (sighing): "Oh, come on, Tae! You know I hate needles, and I'm sick of it now."
Jin (teasing): "Like Tae, you're any better. You also cry while receiving a shot."
Taehyung (whining): "Ah, Hyung, when did I do that?"
J-Hope: "You can't deny you're a scaredy cat like Y/n."
Taehyung (whining): "It's not true."
Jin: "You guys are like a bunch of kids. But seriously, Jimin, take your medicine on time.
Jimin nodded and Jin and taehyung too went back to their departments leaving Jimin and J-hope alone.
In the afternoon, Namjoon walked in while pocket in his white coat, and a warm smile on his face.
Namjoon: "Hey, how's it going, Jimin?"
Jimin: (sarcastic) "Feeling better. Just don't want anymore shots"
Namjoon chuckled and then turned to J-Hope.
Namjoon: "No problem. J-Hope Hyung, you should head back home and rest. I will keep Jimin entertained for time being."
J-Hope yawned, realizing how tired he was.
J-Hope (stretching): "Sounds good to me. Take care, Jimin. See you at home."
Jimin saluted to J-hope playfully.
Jimin: "Ayy Ayy Captain. Go get some rest."
J-Hope: "Bye, Guys."
Jimin/Namjoon: "Bye, Hyung."
As J-Hope left, Namjoon settled in, and they started conversation on random topics, comforting end to the day in the hospital room.
Flashback ends
J-Hope arrived home and went to his room to freshen up. After freshening up, he went to sleep as he didn't get much sleep the night before.
Bangtan Residence: 1 pm, Afternoon
You came back home as usual, changed your uniform and did your homework. While doing homework, you thought about what to do next; and you didn't wanted to watch TV today. Feeling bored, your eyes fell on your skateboard.
She was not allowed to skate or use the skateboard indoors because she had injured herself once. However, with the strong sun outside, maids on leave and knowing her brothers would be back in the evening, she decided to take her skateboard out after finishing her homework.
You rolled your skateboard into the living room and started doing tricks. Unaware that J-Hope was also at home. Just then, J-Hope heard some noise and woke up. he thought you came back so he came out of his room to see you but he saw you were skateboarding inside the house which made him angry.
J-Hope: (sternly) "Y/n, what do you think you're doing?"
You stopped after hearing his voice and looked towards him. You didn't expected him to be here at this time. Jhope continued scolding you.
J-Hope: (sternly) "Skateboarding inside? You know Suga Hyung wouldn't be happy after knowing about this."
(Last time, Y/n was skateboarding inside the house and got injured, causing her to bleed profusely while she was alone at home. She lost consciousness and remained unconscious for several hours until her brothers returned home and discovered her condition. They rushed her to the hospital for immediate medical attention. As a result of this incident, Suga strictly forbade Y/n from skateboarding but due to her stubbornness they allowed her to do skateboarding unless and until she is wearing safety gears and except at home or on any places with tiles. From that day they started hiring maids to keep eye on Y/n and take care of her during their hospital working hours)
Y/n: (nervously) "Oh, J-Hope Oppa, I didn't know you were here. I was bored, and the sun is so harsh today. So, I decided to skate here."
J-Hope: (disapproving) "That's not an excuse. Skateboarding inside is not safe; they are not meant to be used on marble flooring. You know right? What if you got hurt?"
Y/n: (sad) "I'm sorry, Oppa. I won't do it again."
J-Hope: (sternly) "Today, I was at home, that's why I caught you. But how can I be sure that you haven't done it in past or would not do it in the future?"
Y/n: (trying to control her tears) "Oppa, I swear it was first time after that incident and I promise I will not skateboard at home."
J-Hope softened after seeing Your sad face. He came towards you and made you sit on his lap.
J-Hope: (firm) "Baby, I don't know what can I do of you, seriously. Last time when we took you to hospital you know how much worried we all were seeing you lying in that blood pool that too unconscious. Especially Jin Hyung and Suga Hyung, they were crying for you and still today you tried to do same mistake? "
You realised your mistake and you apologise to Jhope.
Y/n: (Guilty) "I am sorry oppa, I will not do anything which will hurt you I promise."
J-Hope: (firm) "You know right you mean world to us. Than why don't you listen to us, have we ever restricted you from doing something unless it is harmful or dangerous for you? we scold you for your good not to annoy you or out of fun"
Y/n: (head low) "I know Oppa."
Jhope sighed and thought for sometime and said
J-Hope: "So, you want to do skating, right?"
Y/n: (nodding) "because, I am bored at home. I don't want to watch tv anymore and also don't want to paint."
J-Hope: "Okay then for now, do something else. After 4 pm, we will go to the park for skateboarding. Happy?"
Y/n: (smiling) "Really, Oppa?"
J-Hope nodded, and You hugged him tightly. "You're the best; I love you."
Jhope kissed your forehead and said
J-Hope: "I love you too. Now go do your work."
