"This is great!!" Luffy laughed besides Nami, Usopp and (Y/N) who were all traveling though Water 7 on yagaras. "You're the best, horse fish!"
"We might not be traveling in style, but I gotta admit, this sure is handy!" Usopp yelled out to his crew mates, staring at the water below.
"Who knew riding a fish would be so comfy?" Nami smiled, the wind blowing her hair behind her.
"I told you it would be fun, didn't I?" (Y/N) giggled at her crew mates besides her.
The city around them was filled with laughter from children playing and adults busy with daily life. "Ah... I didn't think there would be canals running by people's houses. They're everywhere!" Usopp pointed out what the group traveled by.
"I'm trying to follow the map, but I don't want to miss anything!" Nami was looking back and forth from the city to the map.
"It's full of surprises so watch out!" (Y/N) smirked at the ginger.
A civilian asked the group if they were sightseeing, but Luffy explained they were here to get their ship repaired. "In that case, you should probably go to the backstreet shopping district first!"
Luffy thanked the man as Nami looked down at the map. "Backstreet shopping district? Let's take the next right!" Another man asked Nami if she would like to have dinner with him, but got quickly shut up by his wife. The woman apologized quickly to the ginger.
"That was awkward..." (Y/N) just kept looking forward to avoid any unwanted attention.
"Not that I don't appreciate a warm welcome, but these people are so friendly.. it's kind of weird." Usopp spoke up with concern when a man called out to the long nose just to say hello.
After a bit of calm riding, the group came upon two upstream canals. "Huh? Uh we're about to go against the flow. We aren't supposed to go up, are we?" Long nose asked his navigator.
The there yagaras started to swim quickly up the left stream. "Um.. Nami?!" (Y/N) screamed when the yagaras drove them upstream.
Luffy complimented the yagaras for being able to swim up to the top of the buildings. "Who cares?! We are going the wrong way! We need to go to the shopping district!" Nami yelled at her captain.
"Why?! What's the rush?? You want to see the rest of the city don't you?" Luffy questioned his navigator.
Straw Hat's three other crew mates started panicking when they saw the steep drop they are about to take. Luffy just giggled while the other three were shaking in fear.
"AHHHHH!!!" (Y/N) held tightly to the small boat she was in when they flew down the canal. "I think I'm gonna vomit Sanji's potato pie—"
The three yagaras flew off the canal making Nami, Usopp and (Y/N) cry in fear for their demise. Thankfully the group survived, roughly hitting the water below them. "Stop showing off!!" Nami smacked her yagara's head who just giggled at her.
The sounds of bells ringing and people shopping filled their ears. "We ended up in the shopping district after all..." Nami looked out to the sea of people in front of her. "You guys took a short cut, didn't you?" The ginger apologized to the yagara she hit.
"Thank you guys, but a warning next time would be great." (Y/N) pat her yagara's head.
"Woah look! That bull is huge!" Luffy pointed straight ahead.
"That's a Rabuka bull the shop keeper mentioned." (Y/N) instructed the group to move aside.
"Huh? Them. Their all wearing masks. That's weird." Usopp pointed out the group on top of the Rabuka bull. Nami compliment them while Usopp suggested the group must be going to a party.
Luffy was about to ask the group to buy some food, but his yagara had a different idea and took off. "Hey Luffy, where you going?" Long nose questioned his captain.
"I don't know, ask my ride!" (Y/N) saw that Luffy's hands weren't on the reigns, but in the air. The group followed Luffy to a stand that was selling water water meat, the woman who ran the stand told them that the meat was the yagara's favorite food.
"I'll buy two please." (Y/N) handed the woman some berries, purchasing the meat. "Here you go, buddy." (Y/N) fed her yagara and ate the other meat herself.
"Mmm... this is good Usopp, you should try some!" (Y/N) grinned at long nose who started crying to Nami for Luffy and (Y/N) being mean for not giving him any, but the woman was deep in thought about something.
"Nami? Everything okay?" (Y/N) asked the ginger as she ate the meat she bought.
"Um. Yeah, let's get going." The ginger response made (Y/N) look at her in confusion, but she shrugged and followed anyways.
After a while of traveling though the shopping district, Nami spoke up. "This is it. As soon as we take the water gate elevator, we'll be at the ship building island in no time."
"What's the water gate thing?" The half asleep Luffy asked his navigator.
"It's that tower right ahead of us!" Nami yelled out, pointing at the water elevator. (Y/N) and Usopp stared in awe at the structure.
"Attention everyone! The elevator is ready to go. Bulls and Riders enter now, proceed in an orderly fashion please. All aboard for Ship Building Island and Downtown Water 7 at this time. Passengers should enter quickly. The gate will be closing in one minute!" An elevator operator called out to everyone who was waiting for the elevator. (Y/N) and the other's traveled to the gate and upstream inside the elevator.
"Something crazy's gonna happen, I just know it." Luffy smiled at the scene before them. The gate soon closed behind them.
(Y/N) smiled as the water beneath them started to rise. "Okay this is awesome!!"
Nami explained how the water elevator worked, but her crew mates were too amazed and excited to really care. "They really do use water for everything here!" Nami looked up in awe.
Once they reached the top, the large gate before them began to open. "So cool!!" (Y/N) smiled at the beautiful town before them, wind pushing back her (h/c) hair.
"WE MADE IT!!!" Luffy exclaimed to his crew mates. "So this is the best ship yard in the whole world, huh? It's even fancier than the rest of the town!"
"They got a lot more ground to work with then the residential district, that's for sure!" Usopp pointed out the scene around them.
"Everything's huge!!! So cool!" Their captain yelled. (Y/N) agreed with her captain, calling the island truly beautiful.
Usopp took everyone's attention away from the city to the crowd of people. "Think something's going on at the ship yard?"
"Let's go check it out! Go yagara!!" Luffy exclaimed as the group followed their captain to the edge of the ship yard.
"Hey mister!" Luffy called out to a man in the back of the crowd. "What's this crowd about?"
"Eh?" The man turned to the group. "It was just some boneheaded pirates that tried to pick a fight with the shipwrights. Happens all the time, but our guys sent them packing as always. Those pirates will never learn their lesson."
"Woah that's nuts. The shipwrights can beat up pirates?" Luffy questioned the man.
"Huh? Oh you must be tourist. The shipwrights are well... Ha! Their like celebrities to us! In fact, you might say that this crowd is their fan club. We're always watching the Galley Law Company. They're strong, they're skilled and they're the pride in every citizen in Water 7!" The man spoke proudly of the shipwrights.
"Wow, I can't wait to meet them!" Luffy said with excitement.
"Do you think they'll let me spare with them?" (Y/N) smirked, sharing her captain's excitement.
Usopp fell over on the gold bag he was carrying which made Nami sigh. "Luffy, (Y/N). Let's hurry up and get the gold traded in. This is fun, but it can wait til later."
"Right on. We should get going. Where to, Ms Navigator?" (Y/N) smiled at the ginger.
"You've been hanging around Robin too much." Nami giggled at the sudden blush that ran over (Y/N)'s face, who just realized she called Nami the nickname Robin gave her.
"I- Um..." The (h/c) haired woman was burning up.
"I'm just teasing... Ms Journalist." Nami winked at her.
(Y/N)'s ears were blowing stream from how hot her face was. "You're killing me over here."
The crew finally made their way to a bank that was willing to make a cash offer for their gold. Luffy and Usopp were laughing as they jumped up and down on the comfortable couch they were sitting on.
"Why did we have to bring them anyways?" (Y/N) sighed as she blurted out the rhetorical question. "But still? VIP. Isn't it a little much?"
"For the amount of gold we brought in? This is an understatement." Nami looked irritated from the two boys beside her.
The banker who was inspecting the gold was sweating bullets. "Hey, you're not saying anything?" Usopp questioned the man. "Don't tell me you think this stuff is fake."
"No! Far from it! I've been an appraisal for twenty five years, so I know it. This treasure is valued at..."
"100 MILLION BERRIES?!" Luffy screamed in shock.
"Keep it down stupid!" Usopp shushed the straw hat. "Do you want the whole city to know how much cash we're lugging around?!"
Luffy questioned if that was really the price, but the appraiser quickly explained that it has historical value and high purity. (Y/N) watched as Nami sat in silence while the appraiser gave his pitch.
'She's up to something...' The (h/c) haired woman thought, looking back at the appraiser. 'And I think the woman's going to bleed you dry.'
"I'm glad you accept the amount, now I need your thumbprint and signature here. After that, I'll prepare your money lickity split." The man placed a paper on the table, but before Luffy could sign away the treasure, Nami slammed her foot on the table making the appraiser jump back in fear.
"Before we sign everything, there are three things to say. Mister appraiser. First, I forgot to mention this, but he's got a 100 million bounty on his head and she's got a 80 million on hers. Second, I don't accept the appraisal you gave us. Third, you try to lie to us again? It will be the last lie you'll ever tell, you got that." Nami's glare even made (Y/N) shiver.
'Can I be Sanji for a minute...' (Y/N) stared in awe at the woman before her.
"PLEASE FORGIVE ME!!!" The appraiser bowed his head to the four.
"300 MILLION!!!" Usopp and Luffy were bathing in the cash Nami gained the crew.
(Y/N) was hugging the money. "Nami? Please marry me one day?" The (h/c) haired woman was kissing the berries happily.
"Skypiea paid off after all!! I never thought I'll see the day!! I always wanted to be filthy rich!!" Nami threw berries up in the air.
"IT'S OUR MONEY TOO!!" Usopp, Luffy and (Y/N) yelled at the woman.
Once the bank packed the 300 million in brief cases for us, the four walked out of the bank loaded. "That was great! You sure were scary back there, Nami!" Luffy was swinging a briefcase around like it was a toy which was making (Y/N) incredible nervous.
Nami explained that she knew the price from the start, telling Luffy to work on his game face. "Cut it out! You're making me nervous swinging that thing around!" Usopp said, holding a briefcase in fear.
"Me two, please stop Luffy! Here allow me to carry..." (Y/N) watched as the briefcase Luffy once held flew out of his hand and into the air. "...it... AHHHHH!!!!"
"AHHH YOU DROPPED IT!! DONT LET IT FALL IN THE RIV—" Nami and Usopp dove for the case, but Luffy stretched his arm out to catch it.
"Whew. That would have been bad." (Y/N) sighed as Luffy and herself waited for the others to come out of the water.
"Owww, why did I get hit too?!" (Y/N) rubbed the the back of her head from the smack she received from Nami.
"Because you didn't even attempt to catch it, that's why!" Nami yelled at the woman. "You're lucky you didn't get it as bad as Luffy, unless that's what you want?!"
"No ma'am." (Y/N) bowed to the ginger before picking up the brief case Luffy dropped.
The four got back on the yagaras and headed back to the shipyard. "I don't know Nami, maybe we should take the money back to the ship after all?!" Usopp questioned his navigator.
"That would be a complete waste of time. The shipyard is right around the corner!" Nami explained to her long nosed crew mate.
"Come on. You don't have to ride so far way. Let me play with the money." Luffy pouted at the three who just ignored him and continued to the shipyard.
Luffy asked to by a load of food, but was quickly told to shut up. "Luffy, just accept your punishment. You're the one who dropped the berries to begin with." (Y/N) sighed at the pouting boy. "Fine. I'll buy you some more water water meat later if you cheer up, okay?"
"Really?! You'll do that for me?!! Thank you, (Y/N)! You're the best!" Luffy grinned brightly at the (h/c) haired woman.
"Anything for my captain." (Y/N) smiled back, blushing slightly before asking her yagara to speed up.
Once the group got back to the ship yard, they notice the crowd had cleared out. "Well that's good. We have enough to deal with without the shipwright fan club getting in the way." Usopp laughed at the fact that's what the people called themselves.
"All we gotta do is find that Ice guy! Uh wait. What's his name again?" Luffy questioned.
"It's ice for brai— I mean Iceburg." (Y/N) quickly corrected herself.
"Oh yeah! Now I remember, Ice pops!" Luffy smiled at his crew mates.
"The old lady back at the train station said that's who we needed to talk to, but now that I think about it, we don't know anything about him. Well except (Y/N) knows him from 10 years ago, but that's it!" Usopp stated.
"Well that's the best lead we got." Nami quickly replied to the long nose.
"I don't even know how this place works. Is it okay just to walk in?" Usopp questioned to his captain who was already climbing the fence.
"That's what I'm doing!" Luffy said as he was climbing over the small fence. (Y/N) started to walk up to the boy, but was beaten by another man.
"Hold it right there." He placed his finger on Luffy's forehead. "You got a lot of gumption just waltzing in like that."
"I'm sorry sir, my friend here was just about to get off—" (Y/N) got rudely cut off by the man.
"Why don't you take a step over here, then we can talk. Don't worry, it's not personal. You're outsiders, is all. So you're not allowed inside the plant." The long squared nosed man took the group by surprise. "Alright champ, what brings you to the docks today?"
"Come on Usopp! I know it's you!" Luffy laughed, but the actual Usopp slapped his face several times saying he was literally standing right next to him.
"Oh now that I look at it, your nose is square." Nami said making (Y/N) walk closer to the man, inspecting his nose.
"It's square Usopp!!" Luffy exclaimed.
"I'm the only Usopp, stop it." Long nosed Usopp said.
"Anyways, that aside, we came here to see Iceburg if that's alright?" Nami spoke up to the man.
"Hm, is that so little miss? Are you customers?" The man questioned Nami before looking over at (Y/N) who stood next to him.
"I'm his friend actually. I would love to see him again. Does he work here?" (Y/N) beamed with joy and excitement that made the man cover his eyes from the light radiating off her.
Nami handed the man the letter from Koroko which he looked at it carefully. "Oh that's nifty. Not everyday that youngsters come here with a letter of introduction from Koroko."
"Hold on? How old are you?" Luffy questioned the man.
"23, why do you ask." The man said causally. Usopp stated that for how young he actually is, he talks like an old man.
"Then don't call me a youngster!" The woman. "But geez Usopp's right. Not even I talk like that."
"And how old are you Ms...?" The man leaned over a bit to her.
"(Y/N). I'm 24." (Y/N) crossed her arms at the man.
"Ah, a gorgeous woman around my age? I would love to take you out sometime. What do you say?" The man smiled at the (h/c) haired woman.
"I'll pass, thank you though." (Y/N) awkwardly smiled at the man.
"So... do you know Iceburg, or did we come to the wrong place?" Nami, thankfully, changed the subject.
"Of course I know Iceburg. Why I'll say that everyone here know's Iceburg! Seeing that he's the mayor of the city and all." The man's words made (Y/N)'s jaw drop.
"Wow... (Y/N) you never told us you knew the mayor??" Luffy turned to (Y/N).
"I do know Iceburg, but I didn't know he became the mayor?!!" (Y/N) looked like she wanted to faint from the news.
"He's also the president of our Galley Law Company, Manager of the Sea Train on top of that!" The man explained making (Y/N) actually fall to her knees.
"I didn't know he was such a big deal?!" Usopp exclaimed.
"I had a feeling you're not from around here. Iceburg is pretty famous in these parts." The man spoke again.
"But, do you know where we can find him?" Nami asked and the man put his hands on his hips.
"Hm... that's the question, isn't it? He keeps pretty busy of course, hunting him down can be a chore sometimes." The man sighed a bit.
"You work for him right? Can't you get in touch somehow?" Nami questioned the man once more.
"I suppose I could, but it seems like you're in a hurry to get this done?"
"Not exactly, but..." Nami was cut off by the man laughing.
"It's fine, I understand." The man set down the equipment on his waist. "You're inching to have your ship looked at right? Where did ya anchor it?" Everyone looked confused as the man started stretching his legs.
"Uhh it's over by the Rocky Cape." Usopp answered reluctantly.
"Alrighty then. I'll skedaddle over there real quick. If I take a gander at your ship before hand, you can start talking price with Iceburg right away. As I said, he's veryyy busy, so I'll sure he'll be grateful as well." Usopp questioned the man's method of travel, but the man laughed. "I thought we were trying to save time! If you folks can hang tight for 10 minutes, I should be a back in two shakes of a lambs tail!"
"10 minutes?" Nami asked in disbelief and curiosity.
"That's right or your money back." The man got in a running position. The group watched in amazement as the man began running at lightning fast speeds before jumping over the edge of the building.
Luffy called the man's actions cool. "Is he going to be okay?!" Usopp questioned when (Y/N) heard an oddly familiar, put now proper voice behind her.
"Don't worry, he's always soaring through town." (Y/N) didn't turn around just yet, but her crew mates did. "They call him. The Mountain Wind. If you didn't know, Galley Law's Dock One carpentry forman, Kaku."
"...Ice for brains...?" (Y/N) slowly turned around, trying not to cry. "Is that... you?"
