Nami sighed happily before looking up at the sails. "What a nice wind! We might make it out to Water 7 even faster than we thought!"
"I can't wait to see how much the city has changed. I wonder if the old junk yard is still there." (Y/N) giggled as she stood next to her navigator.
"Don't worry about finding a shipwright, I got it all under control." Sanji spoke up from where he sat on the railing. "I'll get the hottest girl in town guaranteed."
"What if I care if the shipwright's hot?! I want a huge manly dude, like even bigger than a bear! 16 feet tall!!" Luffy exclaimed up at his chef.
Usopp quickly shut down his captain's idea. "A guy that tall couldn't even fit on the ship, and imagine how much food he's gonna eat!"
"All that matters is that he's good at his job. If you ask me, the problem is to find a guy crazy enough to go sailing with a bunch of pirates." Zoro brought up a good point.
"Size doesn't matter! I'm just lucky we are going to make a new friend!" Chopper looked up at (Y/N). The woman smiled at his innocences, patting his heat in response.
"We're lucky we ran into that train station. This map should be a big help!" Nami held up the paper Koroko gave her. "All we have to do is follow Koroko's directions to that Iceberg guy and we're set."
The navigator opened the map, but her smile quickly faded. "I see." She crunched up the map, throwing it on the ground making (Y/N) and Chopper jump. "STUPID DRUNK!"
Chopper picked up the crumbled paper, unraveling it. (Y/N) leaned over the deer's shoulder before bursting out laughing. "Look's like Luffy's art!" Chopper giggled at the horrible map drawing.
Luffy help up a canvas with an equally horrible drawing on it. "Okay, let's try to find a shipwrights that looks like this!"
(Y/N) was crying from laughter as Usopp and Sanji looked at the drawing in disgust.
"If I saw a guy like that I'll run." Usopp nearly shrieked from the drawing.
"I wouldn't just run, I'll jump in the sea to get away from that freak. But he look's part octopus, so even that might not save me."
"Don't you have anything better to talk about?!" Zoro scoffed at his crew before walking up to the upper deck.
"What are you gonna do? Sleep?" (Y/N) sassed back at her swordsman, who sat down to sleep. "Oh my god. I was right."
"Okay everybody! Since we're gonna be at Water 7 for a whole week, let me give you your allowance!" Nami's words made (Y/N)'s eyes light up with berry sighs. Usopp and Luffy ran up the stairs to the main cabin, excited for their allowance.
(Y/N) sat on the table next in the main cabin. The woman pulled out a small book from her bag and began splitting up the berries Nami gave her for the rest of the week, writing down totals next to the reasons the money will be used for. Robin sat across from (Y/N), reading her book.
"What are you doing, (Y/N)?" Chopper came up and sat beside the (h/c) haired woman. Placing his head on the table as he watched her separate the money.
Robin spoke up for her friend. "She's budgeting her money, so that she can know how much she can spend in her time at Water 7."
(Y/N) smiled up at the archeologist then looked down to Chopper besides her. "Yep. I want to make sure I won't overspend and become broke before the next island. I've done this for years now."
Chopper stared at her in awe. "Can you do that for me?" (Y/N) nodded her head, smiling at the little reindeer.
"It's simple, tell me what you want and need to purchase and I will divide up the correct amount needed for each request." Chopper happily ran off to get his backpack, following (Y/N)'s instructions.
~Mini Time Skip~
(Y/N) stood next to, the now awake, Zoro. They watched Sanji, Usopp and Sanji talk about the Merry finally getting the repairs she needed. Zoro turned around to look out to the sea. "Hey I think we're there."
The swordsman placed a hand on (Y/N)'s head and turned her to look as the other boys ran up the stairs to the upper deck. "He's right! I can see Water 7!" Luffy cheered.
(Y/N)'s (e/c) eyes began to water at the sight of the city. "She's more beautiful than when I left her behind."
"Alright men, time to row!!" Luffy yelled at his crew.
"The wind's enough. Don't wear us down before we even get there." Sanji shook his head at his captain when he walked up with Nami.
The crew stared at the city in amazement. "(Y/N)! You didn't tell us it would be this cool!" Luffy said with a smile, looking up at the glamours city.
(Y/N) felt goosebumps when she saw the city with her own eyes. "I know... but I couldn't think of any words that could describe it other than beautiful."
Luffy smiled at the woman before turning back towards the city. "Woah!! Check that thing out! I didn't even know they made fountains that big!" Sanji and Usopp jaws dropped at the size of the fountain.
"Oh wow! There's a lot of water!" Chopper's words made (Y/N) giggle.
"It is known as The City of Water after all!" The (h/c) haired woman smiled at the city once more.
"Do you think it all comes from the ocean?" Chopper asked the crew.
"That's what it seems like!" Robin quickly responded. "Then it pours out the fountain, goes to the canals and falls back out to the sea."
"Hey! When we get there, let's have a race on those water slides!" Luffy pointed at the canals. Chopper thought for a second then started crying in fear saying he'll pass on the offer.
"By the way, do you have any idea what those numbers mean?" Zoro looked towards (Y/N).
"Ya know, I don't really remember. I think they have something to do with a big storm that happens each year." The woman said with a shrug. "But I really can't recall nor do I remember asking Flam."
"They look like walls, but they could be some kind of gate." Sanji theorized aloud and Luffy claimed they were for the 16 feet shipwrights. Usopp questioned at the straw hat how many freakishly tall men are out there.
"At any rate, that's the station out front. Must be the same one Kokoro was talking about." (Y/N) looked out to the Blue Station Nami pointed out in awe. "Still I wonder where the harbor's at."
A fisher man yelled out to the crew. "HEYY!! Hold on!! Pirates shouldn't sail in the front. You should be more discreet! Use the backstreet over there instead!"
"Oh okay! Thank you!" Nami yelled back to the man.
"He was awfully helpful to a bunch of pirates." (Y/N) shrugged. Nevertheless, crew entered the backstreets in hope to find somewhere to dock.
"Awesome! It's floating, I wonder how it works!" Luffy yelled out as he looked around, admiring the city.
"But everything's flooded everywhere? Aren't all the buildings going to be full of water too." Chopper asked.
Robin spoke up right before (Y/N) could. "Not at all, the houses here were made with a submerged fountain in mind. If you look beneath the walk way, you'll understand."
Chopper looked with awe. "I see, it's like the city is sitting on stilts!"
"Actually it's stilling on other buildings." The crew looked at (Y/N) in confusion. "I can't remember what name the townspeople gave it, but it's about the big storm I was talking about earlier. After a few years, the storm forces the people of this city to build higher and higher on top of the buildings that were submerged in water."
"I see, certainly lives up to its name." The chef looked out to the buildings in awe.
Luffy shouted out to his crew. "HEY HURRY UP!! DOCK THE SHIP!"
"Woah! Hold on a sec! What are you pirates doing here in town?" A man called out from one of the shops. "Ya not looking to plunder now, are ya?"
"Nuh huh, we just want to get our ship repaired!" Luffy yelled back.
'Why are these people so calm with pirates?' (Y/N) thought as the man told them about a small cape the Merry can be docked.
Zoro was pulling in the sail when the mast started to snap in half. Everyone started screaming in fear. "ARE YOU TRYING TO BREAK THE SHIP?!" Usopp screamed out.
"All I did was pull the rope like I always do!" Zoro yelled back at the long nose, pushing the mast back together. "Holy crap! If the Merry is falling apart this easy, we're glad we hardly made it here at all!!"
(Y/N) sighed in relief since the mast didn't break, but she looked up at the ginger who asked a question that was on her mind. "By the way, they not scared of pirates here. Don't you think that's kind of strange?"
"That's exactly what I was thinking. Maybe marines are crawling all over this place and we haven't seen them yet?" (Y/N)'a thought made Usopp shake in fear thinking they were going to arrest them.
"I don't think that will be a problem since we're paying customers and all." The cook quenched Usopp's fears.
"Welp, that settles it. WE'LL SEE YOU LATERR—" Luffy and Usopp ran off the Merry and nearly off to the city if it wasn't for Nami calling out to them.
"Hold on one minute you two!" The ginger stopped the boys in their tracks. "I need you to come with me to take care of some business."
"Haha, you're stuck with mom today." (Y/N) teased the two boys.
"You too, (Y/N)." Nami yelled back at the (h/c) haired woman from the shore.
"Ehh?!"
"Haha, you're stuck with mom today." Usopp and Luffy mocked (Y/N). A gust of air pushed them forwards making them fall on their face. "HEY (Y/N)!!" The (h/c) haired woman just shrugged claiming they tripped on their own.
"Shut you three, let me explain. First off, we need to take Kokoro's reference letter and (Y/N) to this Iceburg guy, assuming we can find him. Hopefully he'll be able to take care of the Merry's repairs for us. After that, we'll have to find a place we can trade in the gold for some berries."
(Y/N) hung her head sulking, slowly flying down to the three. "So I'm being used for leverage."
"Oki doki, works for me. What are we waiting for, lets go! To Water 7!!" Luffy got up and started matching off to the city.
"Okay, but aren't you forgetting the gold." Nami said bluntly as Luffy frozen mid step.
The four placed the gold on a cart and began their trip. "Be careful out there, Nami sweet! (Y/N) swan!!" Sanji waved at the women.
"Bye guys! See you guys later!" (Y/N) waved off her remaining crew mates before jogging to catch up with the Nami and the two boys.
Once (Y/N) caught up with the three, Usopp spoke up. "Maybe we should trade in the gold first?"
"That's boring I want to go to the shipyard." Luffy said looking back to his long nose crew member.
"No, Usopp's right. I really think we should go see how much we can make first." (Y/N)'s eyes shined with berry signs.
"Yeah sure, greedy woman... I feel nervous walking around a crowded city, dragging a bag of treasure behind me." Usopp explained.
"If we trade it, we'll still be dragging berries around." Luffy stated a good point.
"I know, but it will be a lot smaller, so people won't notice it as much. I mean, what if we run into thieves?!" Usopp said nervously making Luffy and (Y/N) laugh since they stole the treasure from Skypiea.
"Well, that's true. But if we cash it in, Luffy won't be the only one carrying the money." Nami spoke up smiling at the three.
Luffy scoffed at his navigator. "Hey! I don't like the sound of that. It's almost like you don't want me taking care of the gold."
"Yep! Only you can lose that much gold." Nami smiled back her captain.
"You've already forgot it once today!" Long nose added in.
"Are we sure we should even let him pull the cart?" (Y/N) asked with concern.
"You guys don't trust me?! Your own captain??" Luffy whined at his crew mates.
"Nope." They all said in unison.
"Awww hey! That really hurts my feelings, I don't know if I can keep sailing with a cre—" Luffy's whining got cut off by the four walking to a small bridge. "What's that?"
"Huh. That's funny. Is that the only entrance to the city? What's a Rental Bull Shop?" Nami questioned, but (Y/N) just walked by her.
"You'll see, come on guys! This should be fun." (Y/N) smiled back at the three before walking into the shop. "Excuse me, sir. My friends and I are looking to rent some bulls."
"Hi! Looking for some bulls you say? How many people?" The shopkeeper smiled at (Y/N).
"Four." (Y/N) smiled back.
"What kind would you like? There's three ranks: Yagara, Rabuka and King. For your small group, I'm thinking three yagaras will do just find." The shop keeper went to retrieve three small boats. Luffy said he would want two rare and one well done, thankfully Usopp yelled at him to shut up before (Y/N) could.
Nami explained to the shop keeper that they are new to the island and that the crew traveled here using a log pose. "Oh? You followed a log to get here? That's quite an achievement. But if you're not from around here, this is probably the first time you've ever heard about bulls."
Nami, Usopp and Luffy nodded their head yes in agreement while (Y/N) informed she has visited Water 7 once before. "Well, to make a long story short, there are yagara bulls! You can find them all over town." The shop keeper pointed out to the rivers in the city that were covered in bulls with riders. The man went on to explain how and why nearly everyone uses yagara bulls in daily life.
"So they use the bulls to pull those little boats?" Nami curiously asked. The shop keeper explained how the boats actually sit on the fish's back, comparing the process to riding horseback.
"Go ahead and take a look at the bull pen over there if you want to pick one you like. It will be 2,000 berries for two two-person yagaras and 500 berries for the one-person yagara." The shop keeper explained as the group walked over to the bull pen.
(Y/N) leaned over the railing, looking out at the many different yagaras before her. A (f/c) yagara came up to the (h/c) haired woman, she patted the creature head and it smiled up at her happily. "Hey friend. What do you say about helping around town today?" The yagara giggles and licked her hand. "I'll take that as a yes."
"Ha! Since that one seems to like you, I'll mount 'em for ya!" The shop keeper smiled at (Y/N) who smiled back, thanking him.
Luffy, Nami and Usopp found two other yagaras to their liking and the shopkeeper mounted boats on all three. "Is he alright carrying heavy stuff?" The straw hat boy asked the man.
"Yeah! These guys are built for power. The people here use them for moving all the time. That's a big bag, can I ask what's inside?" The shopkeeper asked the straw hat out of curiosity.
"Gold." Luffy said bluntly. The shopkeeper laughed saying it was a good joke and whatever it was, it will be okay for the yagara.
Luffy calmly opened the bag, showing the man. "WOAH GIMME!!"
"THIS IS WHY I SAID I DONT TRUST YOU WITH THE MONEY!" Nami yelled at the boy as (Y/N) smacked him on the head for his foolishness.
"Ow.. I had to show him, he didn't believe me." Luffy rubbed the back of his head, looking at the two women. (Y/N) just shook her head in frustration from the boy's stupidity.
The shop keeper attempted to substantially increase the price, but Usopp shut his schemes down quickly. "Here, 2,500 berries." Nami held him the money.
"No Nami, I'll pay for the yagara I will be using. Save your money." (Y/N) smiled at her friend before handing the man 600 berries. "Keep the change and do me a favor, keep quiet about that gold you saw?" The man winked at (Y/N) as he took the money.
"Speaking of gold." Nami spoke up to the shopkeeper, "Do you know where we can get ours cashed in?"
"Well... there's quite a few place, but ya probably clean them all out trying to trade all that treasure in one shot. If I were you, I'll check out downtown on the ship builder's island." Nami informed the shopkeeper about the crew not being very familiar with the island. The man handed Nami a map of Water 7 after pointing in the direction they should head in.
"Thanks for the help!" Nami and the others hopped on their yagaras.
"Hey! We can find a ship yard downtown too, right?" Luffy asked the shopkeeper who agreed with the straw hat, claiming the one downtown is the best on in the world.
"That will be perfect! We can head straight to the ship yard soon as we trade in our gold!" Luffy exclaimed back to the group.
"You won't here any complaints from me. As long as the Merry gets repaired, I'm happy!" Usopp happily said.
"Then we'll find a shipwright! Oh man I can't wait." Luffy was excited as ever.
"Shall we get going you three?" (Y/N) smiled at her fellow crew mates.
"Yeah!! Go yagara!" Luffy yelled as the four took off. (Y/N) waved back to the shopkeeper, thanking him for his help.
