your pov:
we get back to jade's house after the beach, I plop down in her bed.
"i'm so tired" I yawn
she doesn't say anything, she just stares at me "can I borrow some pj's" I ask
she doesn't answer she's just staring "jade" I say quietly
"oh sorry, what?" she says breaking out of her thoughts
I smile "what were you thinking about?" I question
"what did you ask before?" she asks avoiding my question
I decide not to pry "can I borrow some pj's please"
"oh yeah" she tosses me some shorts and t-shirt
"thanks!"
"mhm" she says not looking at me
something is on her mind I can tell, I get off the bed and then she gets on it. I start changing, I change in front of jade all the time. She usually looks away, but not this time she staring at me. I finish changing, and sit next to her on the bed.
"was there something in particular you were looking at" I joke
"no.." she says not really paying attention
I can tell she's really thinking about something "hey are you okay?" I ask
"yeah I'm okay, just thinking." she answers softly
"about?" I push
"lay down" she demands nicely though
I don't give her my usual response when she's tells me to do something, I just lay down because she said it nice. she lays down and we are both on our backs looking up. she turns to me and then I turn to her.
"i'm never getting back with beck" she says out of no where
"good." I smile at her "I really lik-" I cut my self off
"you what?" she questions
"nothing, let's just go to sleep" I say turning over to my other side embarrassed i almost just admitted that.
"you were gonna say something and i'm going to make you tell me eventually" she whisper in my ear
I shiver at the feeling, she puts her arms around me. I usually wake up with her arms around me, but i'm never awake when she does it. I smile, and sink into her body. I drift off to sleep pretty fast.
I wake up and it's the middle of the night, jade's lamp is on and I turn over and see her writing in a little black notebook.
"oh hey, sorry if i woke you" she says softly
"no it's okay, what are you writing?" I ask trying to look
she closes it "my song for the full moon jam" she answers
"can I see" I ask
"no you'll hear it in a week" she replies
"whyyyy just a little peek" I plead
"no, you can wait"
"finee, what are you doing up?" I ask sitting up
"I couldn't sleep"
"oh, lay down" I tell her as i'm laying down
she chuckles, turns off her lamp, and lays down, I run my fingers up and down her arm.
"what are you doing?" she questions
"putting you to sleep" I answer
she closes her eyes and so do I, my fingers still running up and down her arm gently. I end up falling asleep after awhile.
I wake up, it's still dark in the room, but it's because jade has blackout curtains. I look at my phone, jade's arms are still around me. It's 10, I carefully turn over in here arms so i'm facing her. her hair is in her face so I carefully tuck it behind her ear. The purple and blue streaks are mixing together. I smile and put my hands on her cheek, I hold it there for a second. She so beautiful, I move my hand and stare at her. Then i turn back around carefully still in her arms. I lay there for a while on my phone scrolling through the slap. I feel her shift, and wake up. She looks over my shoulder still with her arms around me.
"oh your awake" she says
"yeah" I reply
"how long and what time is it" she asks now resting her head on mine
I show her the time with my phone it's 11 "and i've been up for like an hour"
"oh, why didn't you wake me up?" she questions
"is that a real question?? why didn't I wake YOU up? i may not be terrified of you like everyone else, but I would not wake you up for no reason" I answer
"just wake me up next time" she says rolling her eyes laughing
"okay but if I get screamed at i'm going to remind you of this conversation" I say laughing
we sit up, and my phone starts ringing. Its andre, I answer it.
"hey andre!" I exclaim
"hey girl, what are you doing right now" he asks
"nothing i'm sitting here with jade, we just woke up" I answer
"ooooo your with jade, why did you guys wake up so late? what kept you up allll night" he questions suggestively
"hey no! stop that!" I defend
"i'm just messing with you, put me on speaker!" he says
"okay but don't say anything weird"
"I won't," he chuckles
I put him on speaker "hey andre" jade says
"hey jade, do you guys want to go to karaoke dokie tonight?" he asks
"yeah!" I answer
"sure" jade adds
"cool, cool, i'll invite the others" he says back
"not including beck right?" I ask
"yeah not after what he did yesterday." he says over the phone I hear a switch in his tone
"okay, what time should we all meet there?" I ask
"how about 5:30?" he asks
"that's cool, if it's cool with you jade?" I ask
"yeah it's good" she answers
"okay see y'all there" he says
"bye" jade adds
"bye see ya there" I say hanging up
we get up and go downstairs, and eat breakfast.
then we sit on the couch to watch a movie.
"oh my god." jade says in a really monotone voice which confuses me
"what??" I ask
"have you ever seen the scissoring??!" she asks frantically
"no, I actually haven't!" I tell her
"we are watching it right now." she grabs the remote and turns it on
"how many times have you seen this movie?" I ask
"a lot." she answers getting under the covers
we are really close, and under the covers she has her hand resting on my thigh. we watch the movie together staying this position. we watch the movie and end up laughing at parts we probably shouldn't be laughing at. the movie ends and jade asks me what I thought.
"it was really good, I love horror movies I can't believe I never got around to watching this one" I say smiling
"i'm glad you liked it, beck hates horror movies and refused to watch them, even though a sat through his insufferable movie choices" she says back
"see bad boyfriend, if i was dating you I would watch the stuff you liked" I say before releasing what i just said "wait that came out weird, I just meant, that you know like if-"
she cuts me off "I know what you meant" she said smirking and laughing
we go out side and sit there for a while talking, I check the time and it's 3. "shit, it's already 3, i'm gonna go home and shower and change. Then i'll come back and you drive us to karaoke dokie?"
she nods, and we walk inside. I grab my bag and stuff.
"i'll see you in a little bit!" I say running out of the door
