Sunday rolled around pretty quickly and Sofia is getting ready to meet LA at her favorite brunch restaurant to meet up about their storyline together.
She wore a black spaghetti top and a casual white skirt paired with thin strapped peep toe sandals and did her makeup and hair simply with just a bit of conceler, mascara, her lightest blush and lip gloss; all from hers and Shira's make-up company.
"I don't even know why I am doing my hair, this isn't even a date!" She frowns as she looks at herself in the mirror just as she was going to do something to her hair, huffing as she just brushed her long blonde hair and sprayed on some dry shampoo, a familiar meow rang in her ears as claws slightly poke her leg, it was her siamese cat River, whom she adopted when her neighbor's cat gave birth to kittens and gave her one; she wasn't a cat person but her breakup with Henry has made her lonlier than ever and Shira couldn't even cheer her up. And adopting River turns out to be the best decision she's ever made. She loved her and she was spoiled rotten by Shira, Lionel, John and Shay when they visit.
"River-bean, mummy's just gonna be meeting a co-worker okay? I'll be back soon." She cooed, picking the cat up as she purred happily but meowed as
if she'd want to come with her mistress. Sofia awed at her cat's cuteness as she looked into her cat's blue eyes
She's a sucker for them apparently. Just ask Henry Cavill... And even LA motherfucking Knight.
"I'll be back before you know it bubba,
we'll cuddle and I'll make your favorite tuna cake." She promised, making the feline meow happily as Sofia puts her down and wore her thin cardigan to be a little more modest
"It's not a date, it's not a date, it's not a date." She kept chanting in her head as she called an uber so she can go to the cafe.
Meanwhile, LA had already been inside the Quiche Cafe for about ten minutes wearing a simple navy blue shirt, denim jeans, sneakers and one of his signature sunglasses that was clipped onto the tshirt since he was inside.
And he had learned from Tiffany what Sofia's favourite flowers were on his Instagram DMs yesterday... Among other things.

I've seen the way you look at her even before you left NXT. You may be a flirt and egotistical maniac on screen but I have the intuition that you'll treat her well on and off screen.
I don't know much about her ex boyfriend's identity but from what she's told me, he kept their relationship a secret from everyone they know and he cheated on her with his co worker. Shira and I know that she's still blaming herself for what that asshole did.
She's interested in you too y'know? But her last relationship fucked her up so badly that she avoided you then every time you try to approach her.
He didn't know what he'd reply to that as he realized what Tiffany said was true. Sofia avoided him every time he was nearby in the NXT locker room or even backstage and in catering.
But now she's not going to be able to avoid him as they'll soon be coupled up as a romantic pair.
One thing that's for sure is that he'll kick Henry Cavill's ass if he goes anywhere near Sofia.
"Hi, have you been waiting long LA?" He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice the prettiest girl smiling politely at him "Sorry about that, the uber was a bit late and I didn't set up a time to actually meet and-" he cut her off with a chuckle
"It's alright sweetheart, I'll wait for you all day if I have to." He smiled charmingly "These beautiful flowers are for you." He hands her the bouquet of flowers
Sofia did her best not to blush at the gesture "Thank you for the flowers." Her heart fluttered once she noticed that it was a bouquet of her favorite flowers, wondering how he had known that she'll like it.
"But this partnership is just all for show, I'm not interested in men like you." She shot down the butterflies in her stomach, letting him down easy
“Liar!” her thoughts screamed at her
"I get it sweetheart but what kind of fake boyfriend I'd be if I was not a gentleman?" He smiled and went to her side of the table to pull out the chair for her
This time Sofia didn't hide her blush. Just as she was about to sit, a familiar voice made her heart drop
"Look what the cat dragged in." Actress and model Hazel Aguas smirked and removed her sunglasses
"Looking basic as always." She mocks her with a scoff, eyeing the bouquet of flowers and the attractive man next to the blonde "Ooh am I interrupting your date?"
"Actually yes, yes you are." LA wrapped his arm around Sofia's waist "Who is she anyway sweetheart?" He wondered
"We went to the same school together, we used to be on the same volleyball team." Sofia answered, heart pounding as he was so close to her and smelling his aftershave, woody with a hint of citrus and mint.
"Oh it's more than that Sofie, Her boyfriend chose me over her." She says smugly "I'm surprised to see you on a date with someone out of your league once again." She pouts mockingly
He now recognized the girl as the actress who plays Yennefer of Vengerberg from Netflix's The Witcher thanks to Mansoor and Brennan who were fans of the show.. Hazel Aguas.

"Hazel Aguas, is it?" LA wondered mockingly "I get that you're stuck in high school, being a mean girl and all that shit. But we're out here minding our own business and I'm not letting you ruin my date with my girl." He eyed her up and down "Sofia may be basic in your eyes but at least she's beautiful and is a badass in her career... You on the other hand? You may be beautiful but nobody gives a fuck about you and your show anymore since the real star of the show left, your acting is as stiff as a plank, Mr. Cavill should've taken you with him." He added with a scoff
Sofia's eyes went wide at LA's insults towards Hazel, impressing her a little bit, ignoring the fact that he watches The Witcher.
"And I may be sixteen years older than her, but she has more class and maturity in her pinky than you'll ever have in your entire body." He says smugly, kissing Sofia's cheek "Yeah!" He smirked
Hazel glared at the faux couple and scoffed "Whatever." She left the restaurant without saying a word
Butterflies soared inside Sofia as he defended her from her longtime bully and rival.
And LA's heart was pounding as Sofia was still so close to her
"Thank you... For defending me." She smiled softly, on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek
"You don't have to thank me sweetheart. From now on, I'm your unconventional knight in shining armor." He winked
And little by little, the walls around her heart start to crack... Thanks to him.
Yet it still terrified the fuck out of her.
