Her head hurt. That's the first thing Marjorie registered as her eyes blinked open, the terrible ache in her head and ringing in her ears. The next was the hard cold surface she was laying on, but what confused her was the soft lap her head was laying on.

She finally managed to open her eyes and looked up to be met with a girl who looked to be a little bit older than herself looking down at Marjorie with a concerned look on her face.

"Hey, you're awake. Good. Are you ok?" The girl asked and Marjorie realized that she had her head propped on the girls lap and she was anxiously playing with Marjorie's shoulder blade length brown hair

"I don't know. My head hurts. Where are we? Who are you?" Marjorie asked wincing as her head pounded

"I'm Hayley and we were kidnapped. Witches I think." Hayley sighed helping Marjorie sit up. "What's your name?"

"Marjorie." Marjorie responded giving Hayley a small smile that she returned

"It's nice to meet you Marjorie, the circumstances suck but still good to meet you." Hayley said making Marjorie chuckle

"Likewise. Do you know why we're here?" Marjorie asked taking in her surroundings, it looked like they were in a crypt or mausoleum and with it being New Orleans there are plenty of those to go around so figuring out exactly where they were would be difficult

"I wish. They ambushed me out in the bayou then I woke up here just for them to tell me that I'm pregnant and the baby daddy is Klaus Mikaelson. They carried you in here a few minutes ago." Hayley said and Marjorie looked between her face and her stomach

"Congratulations?" Marjorie winced and Hayley chuckled

"Thanks, I think. Do you remember anything? Maybe why they took you because no offense but you seem way too young to be knocked up too." Hayley said making Marjorie's eyes widen

"Oh god no! I don't-I haven't, there's absolutely no chance of that. But, I don't remember anything. Last thing I can kinda remember was walking by the river, I like to watch the river boats and hear the music." Marjorie smiled softly, if there's one thing she's come to enjoy about this city it's the music

"I haven't been able to see much since I've been here, I've spent all my time trying to track my family down." Hayley said looking down sadly

"No luck?" Marjorie asked and Hayley shook her head. "I'm sorry. I know how it feels to wonder where you came from."

"You do?" Hayley asked intrigued

"Yeah. I was abandoned outside a hospital in Little Rock when I was just a couple of hours old. I've been bouncing around foster homes ever since. My name was Jane Doe until I was 3 when I really nice lady named me Marjorie Pearl, she died before she could adopt me though. I've always wondered about my birth parents, just curious as to why they left me there and didn't even give me a name." Marjorie rambled on and Hayley listened eagerly

The older girl never would've imagined she could've met someone who is so much like her, in some weird way it makes her feel not as alone to know there's someone else out there who knows how she feels.

"Marjorie Pearl? What about a last name?" Hayley asked and Marjorie smiled softly

"There was no one to give me a last name, so I've always been Marjorie Pearl." Marjorie shrugged

Just as Hayley was about to say something four of the witches came into the room they were being held in. Hayley immediately moved closer to Marjorie, for some reason already feeling protective over the younger girl and Marjorie welcomed it linking their arms.

"Why are we here? At least let her go, she's just a kid!" Hayley snarled as the witches walked over to them

Marjorie winced as two of the witches grabbed onto her and slapped a pair of shackles onto her wrists before dragging her out of the crypt with Hayley following.

"Let us go!" Marjorie exclaimed thrashing in their hold as they walked outside they were obviously in the middle of a cemetery as they were surrounded by headstones and other mausoleums.

The witches shoved Marjorie forward and she almost tripped but was able to regain her balance, she looked up and saw a man standing a few feet away from her. He was wearing a suit, had cleanly cut brown hair, hazel eyes, and a little scruff on his jawline. There was something about him that was almost familiar to Marjorie but she was sure that she had never met him before in her life.

"Who the hell are you?" Hayley asked snapping Marjorie out of her daze

The man looked between both girls intrigued as his eyes focused on Marjorie and she could've sworn they lit up in recognition.

"Give us a moment, please." The man looked at the witches who were hesitant but eventually agreed

Hayley pulled Marjorie into her side protectively as the man walked towards them, he gestured back towards the burial vault they were held in before and the girls hesitantly walked back inside with the man following behind them.

"My name's Elijah. Elijah Mikaelson, I'm here because the witches have made me aware of your situation Hayley." Elijah said before turning to look at Marjorie giving her a comforting smile. "And you Marjorie, have they told you why you're here yet?"

"No." Marjorie said quietly looking down at the shackles on her wrists

"Marjorie, it turns out that you are my brother's daughter. His first born." Elijah said and Marjorie looked at him with wide eyes and she could feel Hayley squeeze her hand in comfort

"There's no way. No my birth parents dumped me outside of a hospital. They had to have been immature teenagers who got more than they bargained for. This is crazy." Marjorie shook her head in denial

"I was just as shocked as you are, to hear about both you and the baby. But the witch Sophie did take your blood when they kidnapped you and it was a match to not only my blood but Hayley's as well, meaning the baby. I know this is a lot to take in but I can assure you that Klaus nor myself knew about you. Had we known you would've been taken care of, we never would've left you." Elijah told Marjorie who was tearing up, this was all becoming too much for her

First she ran away from "home", then she was kidnapped by a bunch of witches, and now she's learned that her father is Klaus Mikaelson.

"God could my life be anymore screwed up?" Marjorie mumbled curling up so her knees were to her chest as she wrapped her arms around them and rested her head on her knee's

"I know this is a lot to take in, but I give you my word that I will not let them hurt you. We will figure this out." Elijah said gently squeezing her shoulder and Marjorie nodded wiping under her eye

"How could any of this have happened? Marjorie and now this baby, I mean, vampires are dead. They can't have children!" Hayley sighed frustratedly

"Perhaps if you knew my brother's story, it might explain how this is possible. Here, if I may." Elijah said gently placing his hand on Marjorie's temple and she couldn't help but lean into it, this is the first time she can remember someone being so gentle towards her.

Elijah went to do the same to Hayley but she quickly recoiled.

"What are you doing?" Hayley asked hesitantly looking between Elijah's hand in front of her and the one resting on Marjorie's face

"Relax. If you open your mind to me, I can show you. Both of you." Elijah said and Hayley reluctantly nodded allowing Elijah to place his hand on her temple as well

"In the beginning, our family was human... A thousand years ago, now." Elijah said and Marjorie allowed her eyes to slip closed

Images of a beautiful blonde girl with long hair and a very outdated dress appeared in Marjorie's mind. She could see the village in the background as Elijah showed them his homeland.

"Come, Henrik. Our brothers are fighting again."  The blonde girl smiled as she ran

"Although our mother dabbled in the dark arts, we were actually just a family trying to survive in a time when it was quite difficult to do so. And, for better or worse, we were happy. That is, however, until one night, our youngest brother was killed by our village's greatest threat." Elijah reminisced

Marjorie saw a man running as he held a younger boy in his arms, the young boy was torn to pieces and bloody.

"Mother!" The man yelled in a panic

"Men that could transform themselves into wolves during the full moon. Our family was devastated, none more than Niklaus. Desperate to protect the rest of us, our father forced our mother to call upon her black magic in order to make us stronger." Elijah explained

Their father, holds the bleeding arm of a human in front of the blonde girl from earlier, she is crying and trying to pull away.

"Drink, Rebekah!" Their father yelled and the girl, Rebekah reluctantly did as she was told

"Thus, the first vampires were born. But with this speed, this strength, this immortality, came a terrible hunger. No one felt this hunger more than Niklaus." Elijah said and Marjorie felt a little bad seeing her supposed fathers past

Klaus attacks a human and brutally rips into his neck, the human yelled and fought but it was no use as Klaus drained him completely of his blood and dropped him to the ground dead.

"When he killed for the first time, we knew what he truly was." Elijah said

He screams as his bones start cracking and he fell to the ground in agony as their father and Elijah came running towards him

"Niklaus!" Elijah yelled

"What is happening to me?" Klaus asked in between yells of pain as more bones started breaking

Elijah went to run to his brother, but he can't as he is held back by his father.

"Don't!" Their father exclaimed shoving Elijah backwards

"Father! It hurts!" Klaus cried out

"He's a beast, an abomination." Their father spoke hatefully

"He wasn't just a vampire." Elijah said and Marjorie opened her eyes influenced greatly by what she's been shown

"He was also a werewolf. That's how the werewolf curse works. It isn't activated until you take a life." Hayley said and Elijah nodded

"Niklaus was the result of an indiscretion our mother had hidden from us all. An affair, with a werewolf like yourself." Elijah told Hayley

"Does this mean I'm a werewolf too? I'll have to go through that?" Marjorie asked fearfully

"Being Klaus' daughter that means that you do have the gene. You haven't activated it yet?" Elijah asked and Marjorie immediately shook her head

"You won't have to unless you kill somebody Marjorie, you don't have to worry about it right now." Hayley comforted her and Marjorie nodded

Elijah showed them more and Marjorie saw their mother, standing in front of a fire, casting a spell.

"Enfuriated by this betrayal, my father Mikael forced our mother Esther to cast a spell that would suppress Klaus' werewolf side, denying him any connection with his true self." Elijah said

Mikael binds Klaus to a wooden cross as he struggles against him.

"Elijah! Elijah, hold him down!" Mikael  exclaimed struggling to hold Klaus down

"Brother, please! Don't let them do this to me!" Klaus pleaded and it was obvious that Elijah wanted to help his brother but was hesitant to go against their father

"Do it now, boy! Now!" Mikael yelled and Elijah flinched

"Help me!" Klaus begged

"Your dad was a dick." Hayley commented once Elijah pulled away from them

"That's an understatement." Marjorie said and Elijah chuckled

"Still doesn't change the fact that your brother is a notorious psycho...who I slept with. Classic me." Hayley scoffed

"I cannot excuse his behavior, but you must understand, when our father hunted him – hunted us – for centuries, every time we found a moment of happiness, we were forced to flee. Even here, in New Orleans, where we were happiest of all. Not long after Niklaus broke the spell which prevented him from becoming a hybrid, he defeated our father. I thought this would make him happy. He was angrier than ever. I wonder if perhaps you Marjorie and this baby might be a way for my brother to find happiness. A way to save him from himself." Elijah said and Marjorie could see how hopeful he was, she can only hope that Klaus will be as welcoming as Elijah has been

Before today she hadn't been very much in the loop of the supernatural community. She knew she was a witch and that there were other supernatural species out there but she never knew any specifics or any specific people.

But now she's learned that not only is her birth father a hybrid, but he's the hybrid and one of the Originals, the very first turned vampires dating back to over a thousand years.

"I'm glad you feel that way, because we need your help." Sophie said as she walked into the vault

"What, precisely, is it that you want and what does it have to do with these two young women?" Elijah asked standing protectively in front of Marjorie and Hayley

"We want to run Marcel and his vampires out of town. Klaus is the key. Everything Marcel knows about being a vampire, he learned from Klaus. Marcel trusts him, looks up to him, and he won't see the betrayal coming." Sophie said

"Yes, well, as I'm sure you're aware, my brother Niklaus doesn't like to be told what to do." Elijah said

"That's why I brought you here. Marcel drove the werewolves out of town decades ago. Do you really think he's going to welcome a teenage tribrid and hybrid baby to the neighborhood? Convince Klaus to help us, and no one has to know about the newest members of the Original family." Sophie threatened making Marjorie furrow her brows

"Tribrid?" Marjorie asked and Sophie chuckled turning to her

"Yes hun, tribrid. You're all three a witch, werewolf, and vampire. Your werewolf and vampire sides are still dormant but not your witch side. You are more powerful than you know which makes you a liability." Sophie said making Elijah glare at her

"That sounds remarkably like blackmail and a threat. I don't do well with threats, especially when they are towards my family." Elijah snarled and if it were any other time Marjorie would've found it sweet that he called her family

"Like I said, I'm desperate." Sophie shrugged

"Well, then, I have my work cut out for me, don't I?" Elijah chuckled gently patting Marjorie's head before turning to Sophie once again. "Should a hair be misplaced on either of their heads I will make all of you suffer, you have my word."

●・○・●・○・●

Marjorie was laying with her head on Hayley's lap again as the werewolf ran her fingers through her hair, it seemed to be soothing the both of them. The shackles on her wrists were getting heavy and she could feel the bruises forming from how tight they were. Hayley explained that they were magic blocking meaning that she wouldn't be able to use her magic until they were removed.

Elijah had been gone for a little bit and Marjorie couldn't help but fear the worst. What if Klaus didn't give Elijah the time of day and she is stuck in this creepy vault for the rest of her life?

Before her thoughts could spiral any longer the same witches from earlier came back and dragged the two girls back outside. Marjorie saw Elijah and he gave her a comforting smile before she looked beside him and saw the man from the images Elijah showed them.

Klaus, her father.

Klaus was looking at Marjorie with wide eyes, he could just tell that she was his daughter he didn't want to believe it for obvious reason when Elijah told him, but now seeing Marjorie in person there was no doubt about it. She was his daughter. As he looked at Hayley he remembered their night together from not long ago, if Marjorie was really his daughter then could that mean this baby is his too.

"It's impossible." Klaus said still in shock

"I said the same thing myself." Elijah said

"This is a lie. You are all lying. Vampires cannot procreate." Klaus said his voice starting to rise making Marjorie's nerves grow

"But werewolves can. Magic made you a vampire, but you were born a werewolf. You're the Original hybrid, the first of your kind. Marjorie's birth 17 years ago and now this pregnancy is one of nature's loopholes." Sophie explained but Klaus shook his head

"This has to be some kind of joke, where's your father huh love? Is he hiding here to watch my reaction?" Klaus asked Marjorie with a glare making her stumbled over her words

"No-no. I'm just as confused and shocked as everyone else." Marjorie shook her head

"And you! You've been with someone else, admit it!" Klaus then turned his attention to Hayley who glared at him pushing Marjorie behind her

"Hey, I've spent days held captive in a freaking alligator bayou because they think that I'm carrying some magical miracle baby. Don't you think I would've fessed up if it wasn't yours?" Hayley exclaimed in frustration before pulling Marjorie into her side

"My sister gave her life to perform the spell she needed to confirm that Marjorie is your daughter and to confirm this pregnancy. Because of Jane-Anne's sacrifice, the lives of Marjorie, Hayley and the baby are now controlled by us. We can keep them save. Or we can kill them. If you don't help us take down Marcel, so help me, Marjorie won't live to see her 18th birthday and Hayley won't live long enough to see her first maternity dress." Sophie threatened making Marjorie's eyes widen

"Wait, what?" Hayley asked with wide eyes

"No!" Marjorie exclaimed

"Enough of this. If you want Marcel dead, he's dead. I'll do it myself." Elijah said but Sophie shook her head

"No. We can't, not yet. We have a clear plan that we need to follow, and there are rules." Sophie said as Elijah looks at Klaus, awaiting his reaction.

Marjorie met Klaus' eye with her matching ones that were starting to water and she could've sworn she saw them soften before hardening again.

"How dare you command me, threaten me, with what you wrongfully perceive to be my weaknesses. This is a pathetic deception. I won't hear any more lies." Klaus snarled making Marjorie's heart drop

"Niklaus!... Listen." Elijah said gesturing to Hayley's stomach

Marjorie assumed they could hear the baby with their enhanced hearing and it gave her a little bit of hope that Klaus may change his mind.

"Now look at Marjorie. You can't tell me she doesn't resemble you uncannily, she has the looks of a Mikaelson." Elijah said and that's when Klaus turned back to Marjorie

Klaus studies her for a moment before looking between everyone again and scoffing.

"Kill them both and the baby. What do I care?" Klaus snarled before speeding away

"No! No please don't!" Marjorie exclaimed as she tried to pry the shackles off her wrists

"Screw this. We're out of here!" Hayley exclaimed grabbing Marjorie and pulling her with her before they were stopped by some of the witches

"No one touches the girls. I'll fix this." Elijah said before speeding off after Klaus

"Can't you at least take the shackles off? She's bleeding!" Hayley said holding Marjorie's hands

Marjorie looked down and saw that her wrists were indeed bleeding from her trying to pry them off.

"Those are for our protection. She can't be trusted." Sophie shook her head

"I don't even know anything about magic. I've never used it to hurt anyone just grow plants and heal broken bones and even then I had no idea what I was doing. Please I won't hurt anyone." Marjorie said desperately

"What about your house back in Little Rock? The one you set on fire. Yeah we know all about that." Sophie said taking in Marjorie's confused expression. "Your magic is powerful and even worse it is uncontrolled, one day it will overwhelm you and I won't let it be today. The shackles stay on."

The witches eventually dragged Hayley an Marjorie back into the mausoleum shoving them into the corner while they all gathered around to talk.

"Marcel and his vampires are out of control. Something had to be done." Sophie defended herself

"And the solution is to bring in more vampires?" Agnes, one of the elders asked

"These aren't just any vampires, Agnes. They're the Originals." Sophie corrected her

"What makes you think you can control the hybrid?" Agnes asked doubtfully

Suddenly, Elijah arrived leaning against the wall gaining the witches attention while Marjorie and Hayley decided to stay quiet.

"She can't. I'm not entirely certain that I can, either. But now that your coven has drawn his ire, I have a question: What prevents my brother from murdering you instead of cooperating?" Elijah asked with a chuckle

Sophie raised her brows before taking a needle from one of the trays around the room, she shows it to Elijah before sticking it into the palm of her hand.

Marjorie gasped feeling a prick in her palm as Hayley jumped beside her.

"Ow!" Hayley yelped holding her hand

Elijah looked over at both girls and saw that they both had drops of blood on their hands, exactly where Sophie hurt herself.

"What did you do?" Marjorie asked wiping the blood off her hand

"The spell my sister performed, the one that got her killed? It didn't just confirm the pregnancy. It linked me to Marjorie and Hayley. So anything that happens to me, happens to them, which means their life is in my hands. Klaus may not care about his own children, but it's very clear what they already mean to you. If I have to hurt Marjorie and Hayley – or worse – to ensure that I have your attention, I will." Sophie threatened and Elijah looked at her slightly amused

"You would dare threaten an Original?" Elijah asked with a grin

"I have nothing to lose." Sophie shrugged and the grin disappears from Elijah's face. "You have until midnight to get Klaus to change his mind."

●・○・●・○・●

Thankfully, Elijah was able to say something to make Klaus change his mind and the witches let Hayley and herself leave with Elijah after he returned Sophie's sister's body to her.

Elijah told them that it was important they stay hidden until he is able to make a plan so he drove way outside the city limits and to the old Plantation house they resided in when they first arrived in New Orleans 300 years ago.

Marjorie was surprised by how well taken care of the house was, other than some dust it was still in pretty good condition. Elijah had shown her to her room before leaving to talk with Hayley, if she wasn't completely sleep deprived she would've though maybe her new uncle had a thing for her new friend/the woman carrying her half sibling.

Her room was painted a light grey and had light green curtains covering the large window with a window seat with white pillows. There was a queen sized bed in the middle of the room with white blankets and pillows along with a nightstand on either side of the bed and a lamp on each as well.

This was the first time in her life that Marjorie had her own bedroom and she couldn't be more thankful. Green was her favorite color, especially light green which is what the accent color to the grey was.

She looked around the room more and found that the closet was filled with clothes and shoes her size as well as the dresser.

Eager to get out of her sweaty clothes Marjorie picked out a pair of pajamas from her new wardrobe and walked into the en-suite and turned the shower on.

She stripped out of her clothes and stepped into the shower, wincing as the water made the cuts on her wrists sting, and quickly washed her hair and body before getting out and drying off. There was an unused toothbrush and toothpaste on the sink so she opened them both and brushed her teeth, she also grabbed a hairbrush and brushed the tangles out of her hair before getting dressed in the pajamas.

Marjorie turned the bathroom light off before walking back into her bedroom. She could hardly keep her eyes open, the events of the past few days completely draining her energy.

She turned off the lights and turned the fan on making sure it was pointing towards the bed so she wouldn't get too hot before pulling back the covers and climbing into bed.

A long sigh left her lips as she sunk into the mattress, her body involuntarily relaxed and before she knew it she was completely out of it.

What she didn't know was that after dealing with Elijah by daggering him and handing him over to Marcel as a piece offering, Klaus had quietly entered her room.

He sat down gently on the edge of the bed, careful not to wake her and watched as she slept peacefully. Elijah was right, she did have his looks, the Mikaelson looks, there was no doubt that she was his kid.

But he feared he would be no better of a father than his own was. He has so many enemy's who could easily use not only Marjorie but the new baby as well against him.

Klaus was letting his thoughts wander when he felt a smaller hand latch onto his large one, he looked down and saw Marjorie who was still sound asleep clutching onto his hand.

It was in that moment that Klaus knew he couldn't abandon or send her away, she was his daughter and now that he has her with him he will never let her go.
