"I can't wait to get out of here! Can you?!" Luffy shouted the question for his crew.
"Absolutely. I'm so ready for a nap after everything." (Y/N) sighed.
"Well our navigator doesn't feel the same way. Nami's not so happy." (Y/N) heard Zoro say as she walked into the main cabin.
'Where is it? Oh there it is!" (Y/N) grabbed her bag and rummage through it, but she stopped at the sounds of alarm bells from marine war ships.
"Crap. I sure I don't like the sound of that!" Usopp nervously stated making (Y/N) quickly snatched what she was looking for before running out to the back of the Merry.
"Look! Marine war ships and they're headed straight for us!" Chopper yelled at his crew mates.
"Perfect." (Y/N) said to herself as she snapped a picture with her vision dial and tucked it in her shorts.
(Y/N) and Chopper looked at the ships confused. "Hey wait it looks like they're stopping!"
"But why? There is no way they are going to let us get away so easily." (Y/N) tilted her head in confusion.
"They dropped their anchors?!" The navigator questioned aloud, leaning over the railing.
"I guess they gave up." Zoro shrugged lightly making (Y/N) yell at him for being a moron.
"It seems so." Robin replied as Usopp claimed the marines must have realized they could never catch them.
"Not you guys too. Don't be as dense as moss head, they obviously have some sort of ace up their sleeve." (Y/N) yelled at her crew mates. "But what is it..?"
"Why aren't they firing on us at least." Robin said as she looked at them from the top of the mast.
"Huh? Oh no... have they set another trap?" The long nosed nervously questioned.
"That's what's worrying me. I don't know." (Y/N) agreed with her navigator's words.
The sounds of rushing water made Nami question what was happening. Chopper pointed out the idea of a river flowing. "There's a river on this island?" Luffy asked while holding his straw hat in thought. "I didn't notice it when we were walking around!"
Robin used her devil fruit power to shine a lantern down from her position on the mast revealing the rushing water beneath the Merry. (Y/N), Nami and Chopper looked at the water in shock as Sanji called out to his navigator. "Nami, what do you see??"
The ship began to shake in response to the cook. "The rudder isn't working!!" Usopp yelled to his crew.
"The tide.." Nami's soul looked like it left her body. "It's rushing out and taking all the water! It's too late. We're trapped."
(Y/N) nearly fainted at the fear Nami's words brought her. "How the hell are we going to get out of this one?!" The (h/c) haired woman yelled out to her crew mates.
Nami went back to the main cabin to fetch the G-8 map. "Yeah I knew it!" Usopp questioned why Nami was patting herself on the back during their current situation. Sanji responded with a swift kick to the long nose's face, painfully knocking Usopp down.
(Y/N) peaked over Nami's shoulder to look at what the ginger pointed out. "I knew the marines had a reason to use a shallow bay full of reefs as a port. I wondered that the first time we timed to escape. Now I have the answer. This is a shallow bay, but they can let more water in and regulate its depth with the sea gate. However they can also use it to let water out at low tide if they need to. For instance, to shop a fleeing ship! Which makes fleeing at low tide..IMPOSSIBLE!!" The navigator angrily slammed down the map on the Merry's railing.
(Y/N) looked at Sanji concerned, who shared the same expression. Robin spoke down to Nami and the others, "Oh. That explains how ships couldn't enter or leave the bay during certain time of the day. Nice work."
Sanji complimented Nami's quick thinking while Usopp got back up, punching the cook causing the boys to rough house. (Y/N) shut them up using her fists of love as the swordsman asked, "So what do we do?"
"Duhh!" Luffy sassed, pointing straight ahead. "We head for the sea gate!"
"WE CAN'T, STUPID!!" The crew angrily yelled at their captain in unison.
"Straight ahead! Yeahhhh!" Their captain ignored his crew's screams.
The Merry began to hit the sea floor, forcing everyone to grab on to something as the ship roughly slid forward causing Luffy to go flying off Merry's head.
Long nose ran down to the bunker of the ship, discovering a huge hole the crash made. Usopp called the his crew down help him plug the hole at the bottom of the Merry; but as fast as the water poured in, it leaked back out.
The five crew mates in the bunker heard Luffy yelled to his crew, coughing up water. "Somebody help! I'm drowning!! Over here!" Sanji, Chopper, Zoro, (Y/N) and Usopp peaked out of the hole one at a time to see their captain groaning on the ocean's floor.
(Y/N) sympathized with her captain's exhaustion. "He is such an idiot." The other four agreed. Nevertheless the woman used her right sickle, transforming it to a long tree branch that picked up her captain by the back of his shirt. Retracting the branch, the (h/c) haired woman grabbed her captain and threw his arm over her shoulder.
Once Luffy was dragged back, Sanji suggested to stay out until the tide rolled back in, but Zoro and Chopper reminded the cook that they will be sink if they didn't get moving and soon. "We need a plan." Usopp stated as he looked over at his captain who was just yelling at them about giving the 'drowning' captain some food.
The group looked at Luffy pissed, but their attention switched to Usopp who held up an impact dial. "Oh! This could help us!"
"On the bright side." Robin spoke down to the group. "The water is so low, we don't have to worry about the ship sinking until the next high tide."
Nami agreed with the archeologist. "That's true but that means we can't escape either." Luffy suggested eating once again; but Nami quickly shut down his idea, pointing at the marines ahead of them.
Soon enough, spotlights were pointed directly at the crew followed by rows of cannons. (Y/N) starred at the scene before her in awe, "Holy fuc—"
"Attention Straw Hat Luffy and his fellow crew mates!" Jonathan spoke up from a loud speaker transponder snail. "All of you have fought valiantly against one of the Marine's strongest forces, and for that I salute you. You may be the enemy, but you've impressed me greatly. However it's time we end this game. This is checkmate. You got no where to run and you're surrounded, so don't even think about trying to escape. You put up a good fight, but accept it. You've been beaten."
(Y/N) watched as Luffy pushed his hat down lightly, just enough to cover he's eyes. 'What is that boy thinking..?' (Y/N) looked back up to the base commander.
This time Jonathan spoke directly to Straw Hat. "Now listen. Surrender and as commander of this fortress you have my word that you and your crew will be treated with the upmost respect. Give up quietly and I'll even make you a deal. You and Roronoa Zoro are the only Straw Hats with bounties on their heads; so I have no choice, but to hand you over to headquarters. However I promise to let the rest of your crew go free, but if you attempt another escape? I'll get mad."
"Luffy..?" Nami called out to her captain as concern washed over the ginger's face.
"Hey guys!" Usopp yelled to the crew. "I think I got the answer to our predicament and it's right in my hand!"
The crew boarded the ship and watched Usopp hold up the impact dial from before. "TAADAA!" The crew huddled around the long nose, allowing the man to speak his plan.
"This impact dial. While escaping from the fortress, I kept using it to absorb impacts from those troops who tried to stop us. There's so many inside, I bet you we could blast the Merry out of here with it." (Y/N) and the others gasped in awe from Usopp's words.
"Yeah but out of the frying pan and into the fire. With that big hole, we'll sink right away." The cook spoke up.
Robin gave out a great idea of making the octopus ballon fly again. "That's my girl. Great idea, Robin!" (Y/N) clasped her hands together explaining that they could use the flame and breath dials to re-inflate the octopus with the hot air created.
"You stole the words right out of my mouth, (Y/N)!" Nami smirked at the (h/c) haired girl.
"It would have more hot air than Luffy!" Chopper made everyone laugh before they all sighed in defeat.
"Too bad we lost it." Usopp made everyone questioned where the octopus went.
"I have it." Luffy stuck his head between the huddle as they talked.
"Luffy has it." The group said, still in defeat. "WHAT?! WHERE?!!" The crew yelled in unison.
Luffy began digging in the front of his pants. "Um... what is he about to pull out??!" (Y/N)'s faced turned a bright red from the man's actions.
"Right here!" The smiling captain pulled out the octopus from his pants.
"DO YOU MIND TELLING US WHY THAT THING'S IN YOUR PANTS?!" Nami and (Y/N) angrily screamed at the captain.
He smiled at them before looking at the octopus. "He helped us out, so I wanted to keep him safe!"
"Wasn't gross?" Zoro asked before looking at (Y/N). "And you. What were you thinking he was going to pull out?" The swordsman teased the flustered woman while wearing a grin on his face.
Robin giggled at her crew. "Now that he's back in the fresh air, we should inflate the octopus again. Right, long nose?"
"Um sure. Now if I can just find my flame dial. It somehow gone missing." Luffy pulled it out and explained he was playing with it in the kitchen. The boy used it on Usopp's face who quickly turned and placed the impact dial on Luffy's stomach, threatening to press it. "Speaking of which, who's gonna fire it."
The rest of long nose's crew evilly grinned at the man. "What gives?!" Usopp nervously questioned. Everyone simply replied that the dial belonged to Usopp and wished the boy good luck.
"Don't worry old buddy, we'll give you a hand." Zoro just rubbed salt in the wound to come.
"NOOOOOO!!" Usopp cried out in agony.
"Hey all set up here!!" Chopper yelled down at (Y/N) stood who along side Nami and Robin, holding the octopus. Meanwhile, the boys went down into the ship's bunker to set off the impact dial.
"Everything's ready up here! It's all up to you guys now!" Nami yelled down at the boys. (Y/N) could hear Usopp cry and scream as the others held him in place.
The ship started moving nearly knocking over (Y/N), but the woman kept her footing and held up the octopus allowing Robin to use her devil fruit to grab the creatures tentacles, stretching them around the ship. Nami used the breath dial while (Y/N) used the flame dial, but the octopus balloon didn't inflate fast enough which caused them to hit the ocean again. "Fly, Fly! Come on please fly, Merry!!!" (Y/N) begged for the plan to work.
With another blast of the impact dial, the Merry was off in the air, carrying her crew with her. "THANK YOU MERRY!!" (Y/N) screamed out and hugged Nami beside her. "WE DID IT!! We actually did it!!" The girls cheered together.
Once they were off in the air and the ship passed the rocky mountain that surrounded the island, the crew stood together at the front of the Merry admiring the beautiful sun rise before them.
"Woah! Would you look at the size of that place?!" Luffy's words made his crew turn around to look at the island they escaped from. (Y/N) pulled out her vision dial and snapped a photo of the base, smiling at the memories she gained.
"I thought it looked big on the inside!" Chopper yelled out in amazement.
"Well so long old fortress guy!!" Luffy yelled back to the commander, who surely couldn't hear him from the distance, while Sanji went off about a woman named Jessica. Usopp questioned why they weren't firing at them, but Robin quickly explained that their cannons couldn't reach them from their height.
(Y/N) sighed in relief and walked back into the main cabin, closing the door behind her. The (h/c) haired woman sat on the table and began writing in her log book about the amazing adventure her crew just had.
After a few minutes, Sanji walked yelling back to their captain to shut up and wait for the cook to prepare something for dinner. "Oh (Y/N)-swan! Already scribbling away in that book of yours?"
(Y/N) looked up at the cook who walked over to the kitchen. "Yeah.. I just wanted to write down our adventures since they're still fresh in my mind."
"Would you like something to drink while you write?" Sanji asked the (h/c) haired woman who got back to writing.
"Um. Yes please. If you don't mind making some tea for everyone?"
"Of course. Anything for the beautiful lady." Sanji hummed as he prepared a kettle of water.
(Y/N) smiled at the cook's words. After a bit of writing, the memory of what Jonathan said about her father popped into her head. Sanji placed a cup of tea in front of the woman, but must have sensed the uneasiness. "Is there something wrong, (Y/N)?"
A moment of silence fell upon the the two. "Could you sit with me, Sanji?" The man agreed, offering a cig before sitting besides the woman. (Y/N) took the cig as Sanji helped light it. Inhaling deeply before releasing to speak, the woman asked, "Why did you join the crew?"
The man looked at (Y/N) slightly confused by her question, but nevertheless answered. "For my dream...to find the All Blue." (Y/N) looked at the cook with the same confusion he had prior. "It's only a legend, but I believe it to be true. A sea where the North, South, East and West Blue seas meet!"
(Y/N) watched as the chef's eyes shined with excitement when he spoke about all the wonders the All Blue could hold, calling it a cook's paradise. "And you? What's your dream?"
"My dream?" (Y/N) pondered the thought that she never really thought about before. "If I had to chose one... it would be to travel the world, meeting many peoples, making many friends along with way." She smiled as the chef, making the cook blush and look away from her.
Luffy interrupted their alone time by busting through the door. "SANJI!! I'M HUNGRY!! Ooo tea!" The straw hat stretched his arm grabbing the tea Sanji made for (Y/N).
Sanji yelled at the boy for drinking (Y/N)'s tea, but (Y/N) just laughed at the situation as the other crew mates flooded in and sat around the table with (Y/N).
"Why are you smoking? Hey curly brows! Don't corrupt (Y/N), you do enough damage with your love attempts." Zoro said as he snatched the cig out of the (h/c) haired woman's hand, put it out.
"I was still smoking that..." (Y/N) just looked at the swordsman in shock as he sat beside her.
Chopper jumped on (Y/N)'s back giggling "(Y/N), whatcha writing?"
"Our journey after leaving Skypiea til now." The (h/c) haired woman giggled at the little deer before taking out the two pictures she took, placing them in her book. "And done! Just in time for Sanji's dinner!"
