Y/n's pov:
"wow!"
my eyes widen when a painting is being shown in front and I can feel my eyes is getting warm because of how I couldn't comprehend using words what I'm seeing right now. Words are not enough to describe it.
"Hyunjin! you created that?" -Krystal
"you're back" -Seungmin pat Hyunjin's back and smile at him proudly
Everyone clap their hands and I couldn't do the same because I'm still processing the painting that is being presented, I just stare at it.
"your painting is really mesmerizing" -Victoria
"don't stop doing this alright?"-Felix
without noticing it, I stand up suddenly and walk out in the event hall without saying a word to any of them. It feels like I'm being hypnotized for a moment.
The painting is actually looks like what Hyunjin painted when we were at Jeju island, it's similar to what he gave to me. The difference is, there were four people, the one pair is sitting and the other pair is standing like they're happy looking at the two person sitting while with the same vibe we went on Jeju while we're enjoying eating together, the first time he held my hand.
I didn't notice where I'm going, and all it lead me right now is actually I'm outside near the garden and I'm now sitting in front of the fountain.
I don't know what to react to his painting, since the event started I don't want to assume but we're kinda having a connection, do you get that? like I'm confuse if I'm hallucinating once again and just desperate to have sparks with him or just a special moment that I started to create these thoughts inside me.
"y/n"
I startle for a bit then turn my head to see who's that
"what are you doing here? the event is still on going right?" I let out a laugh trying to avoid awkwardness between me and Hyunjin.
"yeah.." I slide a bit to let him sit beside me. I started to keep on tapping my hands on my knees and looking around
"you've done so well back there haha!" I laugh once again because he's still silent after he sat beside me.
"thanks" he said and looking up the night sky. I bit my lower lip because I've been wondering why he's here.
"so..haha! Hyunjin what's with your painting?" out of nowhere I ask him that because I don't have any topic that I can get here in my mind since I didn't expect to be with him tonight right away.
"it's just simply four people at different generation looking to one another with pure happiness and contentment" - Hyunjin
"ahhh..so that's the meaning of it" I keep on nodding my head while I'm saying that because I've got the wrong idea, and I'm just really assuming at this point.
"why did you leave the venue?" I look at him quickly and blink my eyes many times noticing that he's been looking at me the whole time
"ca-cause actually I..I just want to get some fresh air--yeah that's right!" I scratch my head and smile at him
"I see.." - Hyunjin
The atmosphere suddenly shift because of the wind that passed by and when the moonlight gets covered with the clouds. We stayed quiet for a while, why do I feel a sudden heaviness inside me?
I look at Hyunjin once again, he's now closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. Maybe this is a good time to give my present to him before he leave me again.
I simply stretch my hand to him with another small rectangle box, he didn't say anything and just take it from my hand.
"you can open it...later.." it's too late, he already opened it, I don't actually want to see his reaction because he might not like it or just show me again an uninterested aura from him.
Hyunjin hold the necklace and open the pendant carefully
"You know I just thought that you will get happy with this..since many people around you has been congratulating you for painting again..I didn't actually understand it at first but I felt like you doing your painting while your grandparents are watching seems precious" I explained trying to convince him to like it even just a bit.
The inside of the pendant was actually a simple art about Hyunjin doing his painting while his grandparents are watching him happily. I notice that he put it back inside the box and take another deeper breath this time and mess with his hair.
"y/n..this is not included in the book..I know that you've been wondering since you visited the charity ..why it's such a big deal for everyone around us that me getting back, doing painting once again needs to be celebrated or even applauded right?" he chuckle for a bit but I can hear a slight pain in his voice
I went closer to him and continue listening to his story. "what happened?" I ask while looking at him
"I was..actually raised by my grandparents in the country side..all of us actually but I'm the last ..my grandparents taught me all the things I know right now, I'm glad they did" he smile then look at me and the sky above again.
"I was actually inspired by them causing for me to do painting, they encourage me to continue doing my art, presented it to others proudly, they supported me openly..but few years ago.." he lower his head and look at the ground
"both of them died, my grandmother went first then my grandfather followed her..it's understandable since they're already old enough" he shook his head, and I don't have anything to say
"Even though I think I understand that it's not inevitable ..I still couldn't understand and don't want to accept that..they're so precious to me, because of what happened I..I just started to lose my passion in doing any form of art." he laugh once again with sadness and hurt in his voice
"many people around me got worried because it's unlikely for me to suddenly stop painting..until recently..I feel like I wanted to paint again..that's my story" he look at me smiling but I know it's not genuine because his eyes is still in pain. I nodded at him
"I just thought that you made them proud again today" I smiled at him while he's now looking straight ahead
"I'm sure they're proud and happy that you finally found courage and your own will, just you, to take a step for your passion.." I take a deep breath before continuing
"it really takes time and a lot of weighing inside of you whether to continue or just change it..knowing your purpose just what you did earlier, is actually impressive because many people will just chose to give up" I look away and choke for a bit
"didn't think that I would be able to do this again" he chuckle after he said that and I glance when he lean back on the bench
"don't you find it comforting knowing behind your back that someone is supporting you whole heartedly? you found what you want in life then they're fully happy with what you discovered" I didn't look at him this time because everything feels so heavy right now inside of me
"isn't that what everyone involve in your life should do?" - Hyunjin
I shrug at him
"I don't know..maybe? yes? no? it depends? haha..maybe there are just times that a person were born in this world, and when they grew up they started to ask themselves what do I really want? maybe this or that..and some of them, even they can't still even read..they already have a responsibility, felt like people around them planned all the directions she needed to walk, as soon as she found one it quickly faded causing for that person to forget what she really wanted and if given the chance will always choose to vanish also--haha sorry about that" a drop of tear fall from my eyes and I quickly wipe it away without him noticing it
"I said many unnecessary things haha, forget all what I said" I sigh and look everywhere trying to back up my tears from falling
"I guess that kind of person is really strong and just need a little push to continue her life because I think she has a great purpose in her life" I look at Hyunjin when he said that
"that's one of the nicest thing you ever said" I laugh quietly while looking at him, he also did the same because of what I've said while shaking his head
*silence..
He stand up from his sit after a while, I just watch him expecting he will leave me again after the connection we just made earlier, that's how our relationship works.
"bye" I said that he can't even hear it when he started walking away from me, and I finally let my tears fall.

*weeks later..
"y/n! y/n!"
someone rush into our room while I'm still sleeping since I woke up earlier to write a note for Hyunjin, I just went back to sleep after that, the I saw Krystal right now infront of me
"what's going on with you? what if Hyunjin is here?" I said to her messing with my hair and still trying to close my eyes
"of course he's not here!" she raise her voice causing for me to startle
"what's with you today?" I look at her while still laying on bed and she seems so mad right now
"look and read!" she show me her phone with full brightness on, I rub my eyes to clear my vision and grab her phone to read it accurately.
I sit quickly and look at her slowly after reading the article and she cross her arms nodding at me continuously with annoyance written on her face.
"Prince Hyunjin and princess Kim has been seen for 3 days in the same cafe, holding their hands, enjoying their company together and often seen hugging" Krystal once again read in front of me
I blink twice and laugh for a moment because of the article
"haha! maybe that's just a rumor! Hyunjin's been in the palace this week"-y/n
"are you sure about that? they really look like Hyunjin and Kim!"-Krystal
"or..or maybe they're actually talking about his grandparents charity right?"-y/n
"hugging and holding hands? are you serious?" Krystal flick my forehead causing me to finally feel pain again.
"media must be creating this rumors to spread hate right?" I try to smile at her but she's not buying it.
"your husband is cheating on you" she said without hesitation
"I just woke up Krystal" I rub my head because it's now slowly hurting right now, I inhale and exhale then look at her eyes and grab her hand
"if this article is really true I will know it right away" I affirmed to her, she just roll her eyes and suddenly hug me tight
"if you needed me I'm here alright? no matter what happen I got your back, don't forget that..now go! fix yourself up let's eat breakfast together" she pull away from the hug and push me out of the bed
"princess y/n the queen and king is requesting your presence right now" one of the head master in the palace suddenly pop up out of nowhere infront of us when me and Krystal is going in the dining hall.
"go" she wave her hands at me and I can tell Krystal is really concern about what will happen, I still couldn't process what just happened today.
they open the door in front of me and I saw the queen and king infront, I introduce myself then bow my head, they signal me to sit on the chair.
I felt so much tension right now in the room, there were only 4 people here including the queen and king, they all seem so serious. Is this about the article that I saw earlier?
"prince Hyunjin is here" I saw Hyunjin enter the room and he sit besides me without looking at me.
"We're assuming that prince Hyunjin already know why we are all here?" the queen started the conversation, I just look at Hyunjin who seems so chill right now, he just nodded then the queen look at me, I gulp because of that.
"princess y/n did you already know what happened to your husband? there's an article circulating around the media right now" my eyes widen and I didn't know why but I said yes
"prince Hyunjin and princess Kim has been seen together for the past 3 days" one of head master of the palace said
"prince Hyunjin, just answer yes or no..do you have a relationship with princess Kim?" he ask directly, I can't catch up what's happening, everything is so sudden and now I'm here with the queen and king talking about it.
"we don't have" Hyunjin answer, the head master nod and seems like he wrote something and I think he just recorded what Hyunjin said.
"since it's there's only few people knew about it, we will take it down right now with a statement. We will going to cover it up with a string along with what princess Hyunjin said to clear things up" he explained to us
"how's your marriage going?" the King ask the both of us
"it's good and we're enjoying it" Hyunjin suddenly grab my hand and pinch it causing for my eyes to be widen once again. what the heck is really happening?
"good to know that, we don't know who spread this rumors knowing that your marriage is going okay" the king shook his head then he on me I responded the same.
"Hyunjin what's that?" I went in front of him when we're finally inside our room
"what?" he coldly said to me and he grab his book
"is that really a rumor?" I ask him still standing and watching him
"yeah" he sit down and started to read the book he's holding

"can I talk to princess Kim right now?" I requested to the assistant of Hyunjin because I'm now already processing what happened today. I couldn't just grasp it immediately because I'm trying not to get hurt, but right now I feel so agitated and wanting to clear things up.
*minutes later..
"what is it?" Kim appear in front of me while crossing her arms, she's been like this ever since, I don't know why she treated me this way, I should be the one treating her like this because she literally broke my necklace.
"I know you and Hyunjin has a special bond, you're close to one another..but he's already married to me, I'm sure you already know about the rumored article..can you please set boundaries to one another?" I explained to her hoping she would agree
"uh...no" she said then quickly walk away, I was about to grab her wrist but the assistant of Hyunjin block my way
"princess y/n, don't give them orders..she's been really great with Hyunjin, they're really close do not stop them in what they wanted to do..the rumor is just rumor, it is up to you to decide whether to make things more difficult or just move on" I flinch my hand when she said that and follow Kim.

I stare outside the window here in our room, Hyunjin's been reading his book like forever. Here I am understanding everything that happened today, everything feels so rush, as well my emotions. I'm so stupid earlier towards Kim, I look like so desperate about making this marriage work.
why do I feel that it will somehow work in the first place? Aish! I glare at Hyunjin who keep on glueing his eyes on the book.
I slowly feel so soft the longer I stare at him, he's driving me so crazy right now.
