"Am sorry i couldn't able to pick you. " i heard him as soon as he make his way inside the hall.
I nods at him.
"Its fine."
"I got into an meeting with higher officials. I thought i coudd borrow some time, but you know righ..."
"You could atleast intimated me right?" i asked him.
"I didnt had any time. I was about to message you but my phone got switched off exactly. Thereby i didnt even had a time to charge too." he answered me.
"Okay"
"Had your dinner?" he asked me.
"No"
"Why not?. The time is going to be 12 right now."
"I didnt had any appetite. " i told to him.
"You?" i asked him.
"I had mine. Wait i will prepare dinner for..."
"No its fine." i says and lied on the bed.
"Please have some before going to bed. " he again said to me.
"No am feeling sleepy. Good night. " i says and turned to other side.
After he got freshen up, he just lied on the floor.
I sighed.
I know its me who asked him to lie on the floor. Now everything is back firing to me. Like Geetha said he was in meeting with higher official.
After sometime i slowly turned and looked at him only to see him sleeping peacefully.
'Why mithran you didnt informed me, but she?' i thought in my mind.
'Did i pushed you so far?'
'Offcourse yes, what you haven't did to him?. You did everything. You mocked him, you pranked him. You played with his life. You did everything, but now you are expecting him to love you back. No sane person will love the one who actually tortured them.' my mind told me.

I kept looking at him for long time, that i dont know when i slept.

"Good morning" i heard him.
"Good morning" i replied to him.
He looked at me for sometime.
"Get ready and come out soon. So that you can have your breakfast, you already skipped your dinner yesterday." he says and walked out.
"Arghh, Mithran. Can i just hug you. Arhhhh" i says with myself and walked inside the bathroom to take bath.
Afer taking bath, i strated to get ready.
*Notification tone*
I looked ahead only to see his mobile.
I walked and grabbed his mobile and looked that the message is from Geetha.

"Really"
"Mithran you saved her number too. Wahh" i gritted.
I immediately opened his phone with his pin. I entered into the chat only to see there were already few messages from her.
"You are genuine person." - Geetha
"Will you come to college to pick manjusha?" - Geetha
'Why the fuck she need to know this?'
'Duffer she is trying him.' my mind replied to me.

"How was the day?" - Geetha

'Really?' i thought to myself.

I stopped. I just deleted that heart from the chat.
How could she just like that ping a heart to him?
"He is my husband. He is mine. Geetha, stay away from him." i gritted out.
'This is all because of you only, manju. Did you forget that you are the one who gave her his number.' my mind probed.

"Can i just delete and block her contact?" i asked myself.
"No then he will ask me for sure." i says with a sigh.
"Manjusha" i heard him calling me from hall.
"Why he is not calling me as his little puff" i frowned.
With that i walked out after putting his phone down.
"Here, have your food." he says and placed a plate before me.
I looked at him.
He signed me to eat.
I nods and started to dig.
'Man he is a great cook.'
He too started to have his after fetching his mobile from room.
He kept eating while surfing his mobile.
'Manju, look he is smiling'
'Probably with geetha i guess'
'Speak with him manju. Tell him or ask him something.' my heart says to me.

He looked up and narrowed his eyes.
"Its new, thanks" he says and again strated to use his mobile.
"I want to go to Orphanage this saturday." i again tried to initiate.
"You can go, you dont have to inform me."he says.
I glared at him.
'These all was you needed right manju?'
" I mean, i dont have my bike. It would be good if you take me... "
" I have a work actually. " he says.
" Okay" i slowly says to him.
"I will ask someone to tak ecare of the work. I will take you out." he again says after thinking for sometime.
I nods at him.

He dropped me in the college.

"Mithran" we both heard geetha voice.

"Hi" she says to him.

"What happened again?, you again started to drop manjusha?" she asked him.
"Yeah. Her bike is under repair."
"Mnaju, why dont you buy a brand new bike. Its not like your dad is poor or something right. He is the one rich man here. . " she says.
"I dont need any" i snapped at her.
I looked at mithran, who is looking at both of us.
"Will you be available this Sunday, i wanted to know about the process on how to get into the CBI." she says to him.
"Y..." he strated.
"No he is busy with this week. As he doesnt have any leave." i intervebed.
"You said that you are going to take leave. " geetha asked mithran.

"Just before sometime the plans got changed" i told to ger.

He nods at her and turned.

"No it can't be true, i checked everything and every where of his social account. Every status showed that he is single." she argued with me.

"I dont know i feel like Mithran is not talking with me properly."

"I dont think its a good idea kabir. I dont know whether he atleast likes me or not. Here you are aksing me to go and say that i love him. Think from his shoes kabir, i hurted him, i mocked him a lot. I havent left any single chance to mock him. All i gave him is a pain, but in return all he showed me is the affection. But what i did nothing?. I cant simply go and say that i love him after hurting him, what not playing with his life. He is a good soul kabir. Even am thinking that why did he ended up with me?. He suffered a lot already. His childhood was not a good one either. Nothing. Even i showed him lot of problems. And now i cant simply say thay i love him now. First i need to make everything as right. I wanted to talk with him, i wanted him to understand me. "i says to him.

"Just few week back you were cursing him. And now you are saying that you are loving him dearily. Gosh mnaju." kabir says to me.

"Tomorrow you are off right?" i asks mithran who just walked into the bedroom.
"Yeah" he replied and walked inside the bathroom.
"So what do you want to have for dinner?" he asks me, once he changed into fresh clothes.
"Anything is fine."
"Okay" he syas and walked into the kitchen.
Even i followed him. Now a days, all am doing is just hopelessly following him.
"Give me the veggies i will chop. " i asks him.
"No its fine, i will do it by my..."
"I insists" i says to him while looking into his eyes.
"Here" he says while passing me the veggies.
With that i started to cut the veggies.
Meanwhile, he seemlessly started to saute the onion.
'Man how could anyone be this good. Say it by heart or anything. Such a perfect man.'
"Cupcake." i murmurs, but he immediately turned to my side.

"Did you said anything?" he asked me.
I nods as no.
"Okay" he says.
I nods and again started to cut the veggies.
'Can i just kiss him?' arhhh.
I looked at him sideways.
I slowly murmurs as "I love you", this time he didnt heard it.
'Better just say it aloud' my mind says.
"Arghh" i shouts as i carelessly cut my finger. Fuck.
"Shit, what you have done" mithran shouts as he grab my index finger and showed it under the water.
"Wait here" he says and runned inside the bedroom. After a minute or so he came back with a first aid box. Then he washed my finger with a antibiotic solution. He then band aid it.
"You shouldn't be this careless, little puff." he says.
'Little puff, here goes my heart.'
"What you were thinking when you are cuting the veggies. This is why i told you to not to cut the veggies. See now what you have done to gourself....."
"Am fine, its just a small cut"i says to him by stepping near to him.
" Its just a small cut, you dont have to worry this much officer. " i says to him by placing my right palm on his cheek.
I looked into his eyes, so he.
My heart started to beat so fast, that even mithran could hear it. He placed his palm on my left cheek, and he lowered himself. I gulped. My breathing too turned heavy.
He lowered himself until our lips are just a inch away.
"Manjusha" an voice startled me. I immediately stepped away from him.
"Shi... Shit shit am sorry" kabir says.
I turned and looked at kabir.
"Am sorry" kabir syas.
"Hi kabir. " mithran says and walked towards him.
"Hi maama"
"Coffee?" he asks him.
Kabir nods his head.
"Please have your seat in hall."
With that i grabbed kabir and walked out of the kitchen into the bedroom.
"Manju, am really sorry. Did i interrupted in initial or.... " he trailed off
"Its fine kabir, yes. " i says and lied on the bed.
"Shit"
"Its fine leave it."
"What brings you here?" i asked hin.
"Am i not allowed here?"
"Kabir. Tell me what is it?" i asks him.
"Manju, are you frustrated by any chance?. For not letting to have your kiss?" he ask sme.
"Yes" i says to him.
"Fuck"
"Leave it kabir."
"Hereafter i will call/message you before i visit your home."
"Better do it" i says to him.
He laughs at me.
"You chabged a lot manju. Where is my manju, who hate love, marriage and all?"
"She is lost now."
"Who is lost?" came a voice.
"One girl maama my neighbourhood. Leave it aside maama. How is your work going?"
"Good. Kabir i forget to give aunty her salary please get it from me before you go. Okay" he says to him.
Then they both started to talk about random things.
I just lied on kabir lap
'Cupcake, can i lie on your lap?' i asks in my thoughts.
