"Woah!! The open sea!" Luffy was excited to leave the base behind them. "Keep her on a straight course, guys!"
"No! Turn around!!" Nami yelled out to the crew. "We can't leave yet! Full reverse! Don't just stand there. Those lousy marines stole all our gold! Turn us around, we have to go back to the fortress right now!"
"Are you nuts?!" Zoro irritatedly responded to the ginger.
"Maybe you didn't notice, Nami, but we almost got killed breaking out of that place. Zoro's right, you're completely nuts!" Usopp tried to reason with Nami.
"I'm quite sane right now, thank you." Nami sassed back at the two. "Look what's the point of escaping if it's without our hard earned gold!"
Chopper was amazed at the ginger's seriousness when it came to money while Sanji admired the woman.
(Y/N) placed her fist in the palm of her other hand. "Oh yeah. I was invisible on the Merry and I remember the lieutenant told the marine who found our gold to take it too the lab, but that was many hours ago." The (h/c) haired woman shrugged.
Nami ran up to the woman, shaking her by her collar. "WHY DIDN'T YOU DO ANYTHING?!"
"I um... didn't want to get caught so quickly?" She held up her arms in nervously confusion.
"BUT YOU DID!! And now our gold has been stolen!" The ginger angrily held the scared woman.
Zoro walked up to Nami and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Let me handle this."
(Y/N) gulped at the swordsman who stood over her, smirking. "Pay back time." The swordsman scolded her for losing the gold as he drove his knuckles into the sides of her head, like the lieutenant did to him during his interrogation.
Luffy interrupted (Y/N)'s punishment by pointing the exit out to the crew. "But we're so close to that big hole we made. All we gotta do is sail through it, ya know."
"Aren't we supposed to be pirates?!" Nami questioned her captain who innocently agreed. "We'll have you ever heard of pirates leaving gold behind?! Wouldn't that be the worst thing a pirate can do?"
"Yeah I guess." Luffy shrugged at his navigator.
"So it's decided then! Let's get our treasure! Crew, make a u-turn and get us back to the fortress on the double!" Nami yelled at her crew mates and off they went.
Chopper and Sanji pulled the rudder all the way to the right causing the ship to nearly fall over.
"Hold on you guys!" Usopp yelled at his crew mates as the ship swung right.
"That's it guys! Just keep it up!" Nami yelled out.
Alarm bells were heard causing Nami to yell to Chopper and Sanji. "LEFT RUDDER FULL! If we don't, we are going to crash into that big ship that's headed right for us!"
(Y/N) nearly slipped off the ship when the boys turned left, luckily Robin grabbed onto (Y/N)'s hand and pulled her up to the railing allowing her to grab on. "Nice save! Thanks, Robin!"
"Don't mention it. Just keep your footing, Ms Journalist." Robin smiled at the woman as they watched the large marine war ship pass besides them.
Nami sighed in relief. "That sure was close. To think we almost died without ever laying eyes on our gold again!"
The sounds of several alarm bells caused the crew to panic as they watched a fleet of ships coming straight at them.
A muffled Sanji called out to the navigator. "So Nami, my sweet. What will it be, left rudder or right rudder."
"LEFT QUICKLY!" Nami yelled back. "If we don't we're gonna get smashed to pieces!"
The ship shook from the next sudden change in direction. Nami thought the ship wouldn't make it in time, but luckily she pulled through. Dodging war ships left and right.
"We can't keep sailing blind like this, it's too dangerous here." Nami thought aloud. Zoro and Usopp questioned their navigator saying that they will spot them and then get blown to pieces. "Do you have any better ideas?!"
Robin walked up to the screaming ginger. "Ms Navigator. I was able to do a little bit of research. It turns out that this fortress used to station more troops and warships that it currently does."
Nami looked at Robin puzzled while Usopp spoke up. "Thank you for sharing, but this is not the time for a stupid history lesson Robin!!"
(Y/N) quickly jumped to Robin's defense, smacking Usopp on the back of his head. "Hear her out first."
Ignoring the small scene behind her, Robin continued. "It seems that this fortress has been a victim of military downsizing." Robin held up the map to the navigator, the same one she showed earlier. "As a result, many of its areas have been shut down and there are plenty unused docks around the base."
"Unused docks, huh? That's great wow! Thanks Robin, you're a lifesaver!" Nami's words caused (Y/N) to smile from ear to ear. "Alright guys, here's the plan. We are going to hide the Merry in one of those docks!"
Usopp questioned Nami on how they will even find one of the unused docks which Nami excitedly responded just to follow her orders and the map.
Once the crew found a dock, they entered the main cabin and sat around the table. "Well what do we do now, guys?" Long nosed questioned.
"If you ask me, I think we head back to the gate and make a break for it while we still can." Zoro responded.
"You gotta point there. It's too bad we have to leave the gold behind, but our lives are more important." Usopp made a good point.
"You're the captain Luffy, what do you think?" The little reindeer, who sat in (Y/N)'s lap, asked Luffy.
Luffy was laying his head on the table, speaking in a mumble. "We need to get our gold, but I need something to eat first."
Sanji got up saying that he would whip something up, but Usopp said that the storage room looked kind of empty.
"Just so I understand you correctly, you guys are okay with us leaving this place without our gold?" Nami questioned her crew members who just nodded in agreement. "Well that's too bad. Cause you know pirate treasure is divided up. Even after splitting up the loot, we all have more gold then we'll know what to do with. Just think of all the stuff we could have bought."
Nami's words got the boys talking about the things they wanted to buy. "Oh the berries I would be able to gaze upon." (Y/N) placed her chin in her hand as she sighed in day dream.
"Right! But first I take an extra cut. 80%." Nami casually stated.
"ARE YOU NUTS?!" The group questioned in unison.
"It's not for me." The ginger claimed.
"Oh yeah then who?! Why should they receive a bigger share than the rest of us?!" Usopp questioned.
"It's for a special lady." Nami smiled at her crew. "We are going to set aside the gold, to pay for the repairs we need to make."
"A lady? You mean the Merry?" Luffy questioned his navigator.
"That's right. Isn't it about time we paid her back for all the time she took care of us?" Nami's smile never left her face as she spoke of their ship.
Usopp pondered for a bit. "Come to think of it. The Going Merry has carried us for a long time now, hasn't she? Ever since I joined up and left my village in the East Blue!"
"We've had so many adventures. Lots of good times and made so many memories." Nami spoke softly, but happily.
"Hey don't forget, the Merry was also with us when we crossed that crazy reverse mountain and burst into the Grand Line." Zoro said with a smile.
(Y/N) stared in awe at hearing her crew's adventures prior to the woman joining the crew. But her amazement was cut short as Sanji spoke up, reminding her of her times after she met her crew mates. "Don't forget Sky Island."
Chopper added in. "Yeah! I even risked my life to save it when it was carried to Upper Yard!"
"Yeah then that mysterious person fixed the ship for us." Usopp hung his head in thought.
"When you think about it, this ship's gone through a lot for us." Luffy smiled at his crew.
"And that's exactly why we need to give her some tender love and care." Nami added in.
"Good idea! The Going Merry's Great Repair!" Usopp said proudly as Luffy said they should do it.
"Then it's settled. And since we don't know how much the repairs will be, we will hold off dividing up the treasure until we do."
"Those goons took all the food from the store room, but lucky for us they didn't touch the fridge." Sanji placed a tray of food on the table. "Here dig in."
Zoro said with a stuffed face. "I was wondering how much of Usopp's half ass repairs were gonna last."
"Hey I'm a sniper, not a shipwright! But yeah Mekao said the same thing, it needs professional repairs." Usopp ate his food in defeat.
Sanji showed the plate of food to Robin, allowing her to grab what she wanted. "Yeah right. It's time we took the Merry to a real ship yard and got some honest to goodness shipwrights to give her the repairs she needs."
"So there are people who can fix ships better than Usopp?" Chopper innocences made (Y/N) cuddle him a little harder.
"Yup, sometimes when you need a job done right you gotta go see a professional." Usopp replied back to the little deer.
Luffy stood up making everyone look at him. "That's it! We gotta get a shipwright for our crew. Our journey's far from over right. We really need someone with those skills. And the Merry isn't just our ship! She's our home too! Let's go find us a shipwright who can keep the Merry safe!" The straw hat sat down and sipped on his drink.
"Woah I'm impressed." Sanji started that the boy blankly.
"Woah he got to the point. That's pretty rare." Zoro was surprised by Luffy's words. Usopp and Luffy talked about getting a musician as well, but Sanji immediately shot down the idea.
"The shipwright is a great idea, but haven't you guys forgot about something?" The crew questioned Nami's words. "We have to get our gold back first."
Luffy agreed with his navigator. Zoro looked over at (Y/N). "Do you have any idea where they might have taken it."
"Again, the last thing I remember is that the lieutenant told the marine who found it to take it to the labs to get examined. That being said, they most likely moved it now since that happened last night. I suggest they moved it to a vault."
"Exactly, my darling (Y/N). The problem is that we have no idea where that vault may be." Sanji shrugged a bit before watching Robin walk up the the map of G-8 hung on the wall.
"I say it's right here. It's just a guess of course; but if I were gonna hide gold inside Navarone, this multi-lock storage vault seems like it would be the ideal place." Robin pointed at a building on the map. Nami agreed with the archeologists, but Usopp quickly questioned what they would do about the Merry and that she was bound to be spotted eventually.
"Hide a tree in a forest and hide big ships among big ships." Everyone stared at their captain before hanging their head in defeat.
"So that's your big plan?" Zoro questioned the straw hat. Robin pointed out that the crew did station themself at a dock that had an abundance of abandoned materials.
Usopp devised a plan of hard word that would last until the next night. In the end, Merry was disgusted as a, pretty lousy, Marine war ship.
"Now all we have to do is get our treasure back! Operation: Gold Recovery. Commences at midnight." Nami stated to the crew.
"Got it!" The others said in unison.
~Time Skip to Midnight, because cool super secret missions always happen at midnight~
"Alright guys, let's go get our gold back!" Nami said to her crew mates who agreed with her.
The crew started to walk away from the Merry, but was stopped by Usopp. "Hey wait a minute! We can't just rush off like this, shouldn't we come up with some sort of plan first."
Everyone looked at each other in confusion. Usopp sighed in disappointment. "Don't you think the marines will notice eight people sneaking around their fortress."
"Long nose has a good point." (Y/N) crossed her arms as she heard the man out.
"I'm still worried about the Merry too." Usopp continued. "Even though we disguised her pretty well."
"It won't fool them for long though." Sanji pointed out as the crew looked up at their 'masterpiece'.
"Honestly. Am I the only member of this crew that thinks about the important things? For instance, coming up with a plan to get back what's rightfully ours?! THAT REMINDS ME!! You!" Usopp pointed at Nami who looked at him confused. "What happened to the waiver?!"
"Oh crap! I hid it in some tall grass, I forgot!" Nami admitted her flaw.
"You see what I mean?!" Usopp questioned the crew. "Well all stupidity aside. I think it's about time I explained my plan to all you guys. Alright listen up!"
Usopp pulled out the map to the base. "Here's the scoop people. We're gonna have to split up into two teams. First The Gold Recovery team: Luffy, Zoro, Robin, (Y/N), and Captain Usopp. Team two will be the Waiver Recovery team. It consist of Nami and her partner will be... Sanji."
Sanji went heart eyes crazy over the fact he got paired with Nami while Chopper wasn't so happy. "So Usopp, you're going to leave me alone with the ship again?!"
"Hey don't worry, the Merry's disgusted so well I'm pretty sure you won't be discovered." Usopp explained to the little reindeer who was freaking out.
"I'll be happy to swap places with Chopper!" (Y/N) spoke up, but got her ear grabbed by Zoro.
"No way. You're the one who let the gold get taken in the first place. You're going to help get it back." The swordsman didn't release his hold until Usopp began talking again.
"No can do, (Y/N). What would happen if we got hurt? We need him here to tend to our injuries, Super Doctor." The long nosed grinned at the deer boy who started dancing claiming Usopp to be sucking up to him.
Usopp explained the routes each team will need to take to and from the ship. "Alight teams! Let's complete our missions, then head back to the Merry. Got it?"
"Yeah!!" The crew yelled in unison and moved out of the docks in their teams.
Usopp devised another plan to hide in barrels and slowly make their way to the vault, which the boys did. Robin and (Y/N) had different plans.
(Y/N) flew up, invisible to the naked eye, and searched the nearby area from the sky while Robin used her devil fruit to make sure the coast was clear on ground level. (Y/N) reappeared beside Robin, simply nodding to her comrade. "The coast is clear. There are no soldiers in the area."
"Why didn't you say so sooner?!" Usopp yelled at the two woman.
"It was funny watching you guys crawl around in barrels." (Y/N) shrugged causing the sniper and the swordsman to get pissed at her.
Luffy was asleep in his barrel, but quickly woke up when Usopp to kick it over. "Get it together Luffy!!"
"Does he ever stress out?" Robin asked (Y/N) who just giggled with her archeologist in response.
The five began running through the forest ahead of them. "Hey Zoro! What's wrong? Can't keep up?" Long nosed teased the swordsman who running behind him.
"Shut your trap or I'll shut it for you, Usopp!!" Zoro's words made Luffy and (Y/N) laugh.
"Hey Robin, we there yet?" The captain asked the archeologist.
"Just a little further!" Robin stated as the five ran up to a cliff's edge.
"Behind that door?" Zoro asked Robin.
"If the map's correct, yes." Robin stated. Usopp questioned the woman if the vault was close. "Yes. Breaking in through that spot, should be the shortest route."
"Then it's decided. That's were we're going!" Luffy said to his crew. (Y/N) agreed with her captain and watched Usopp use his grapple belt to hook onto a balcony's railing.
Once Luffy secured the other end of rope to a tree, the captain laughed telling everyone to go as he hopped onto Usopp's back. The sudden push from Luffy made Usopp scream as they rode the zip line followed by the three others.
"What's wrong, you can't keep up?" Zoro sassed at the dizzy Usopp, who was regaining his composure on the ground, before running off with the others. The five managed to sneak their way through the main door to the vault. "I bet it's at the end of this corridor!" Usopp said back to the group.
'I don't like how simple it was to get in here.' (Y/N) thought before speaking up to the group. "Be prepared for anything, you guys. I have an off feeling." Robin agree with her friend, but Luffy and Usopp brushed her off saying not to worry. Sighing at the boys, the (h/c) haired woman continued running.
They finally reached the giant door to the vault. "Woah! That thing's awesome!!" Usopp yelled out in admiration.
"Some serious security." Robin looked up at the giant gate.
"Yeah! And you know what that means?! This gotta be the place they took our treasure." Usopp exclaimed. Luffy suggested that they may even find other goodies inside as well.
"So... now what?" Zoro complained at the lack of planning.
"Gum Gum Pistol!" Luffy punched the giant reinforced door, but his punch ricocheted causing his fists sights on Zoro. The swordsman flew backwards from the hit causing (Y/N) to bust out laughing.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Luffy said innocently.
"Sorry?!" Zoro grabbed the nervously sweating Luffy by the collar of his shirt, giving him a death glare.
Usopp began explained how someone can't open a vault's door by punching it open, but by unlocking the door using the combination panel below. Just when the boy finished explaining, spotlights were shined on the crew members.
"THAT'S FAR ENOUGH!" A marine yelled as multiple large steel doors closed off their exit, trapping them as guns pointed straight at the group.
"So they were waiting for us." Zoro squinted his eyes from the bright lights that shinned on the crew members.
"I don't wanna say it, but I'm gonna say it. I told ya so." (Y/N) stuck her tongue out at Luffy, who returned the gesture.
"You're trapped like rats! There's no chance at escaping. Surrender and we'll—" The marine got cut off by Usopp using his slingshot to fire at him.
"What?! Give up our gold? No way! We'll take on each and everyone one of you!!" The sniper said as he hid behind the control panel. "Okay take it from here guys!"
"Hey!" Zoro and (Y/N) yelled at the boy in unison, seeing that Usopp was hiding and not backing up his words.
"Stop that scum!" The marine officer yelled out.
"You heard the the officer! Stop them!!" A ray of bullets were fired upon the group, but Luffy caught the majority with a gum gum balloon causing the bullets to backfire.
"Usopp! You get that vault open!" The captain yelled out.
"Will do!"
Zoro jumped off Luffy's balloon form to fight the marines stationed up top while (Y/N) took out her sickles, charging at the marines below.
The marines took aim on the woman and fired, but their attacks were futile since that passed right through her body. "Huh?! How!! Does she have a devil fruit?!" (Y/N) heard some marine's questioned as she leaped into the air.
"Two actually. Vine WHIP!" She called out as her right sickle turning it into a large vine, throwing a few rows of marines down before retracting into a sickle.
"WOAH (Y/N)?!! You didn't tell me you ate two devil fruits!! How are you not dead?!" Her captain asked the woman as she leaped through the sky, taking more marines out with her sickles.
"I didn't eat two. My right sickle ate one and I hope I find another one day for my left!" (Y/N) explained to her captain while a marine tried to cut through her with a sword. "On your left!"
Luffy turned and punched a marine that snuck up on him. "Thanks! Anyways, you gotta show me how that vine thing works later okay?" Luffy giggled at the woman which made her smile.
(Y/N) and the others kept fighting and fighting and more fighting. "Geez these guys never end." (Y/N) wiped sweat off her brows before taking out another group of marines.
"Usopp! Is it open yet?!" Luffy called out to the long nose who has been unlocking the giant bolts.
"It is now!!" The door began to open, but not sideways like everyone thought. It began falling on top of the group.
"Full retreat!" The officer commanded his men.
"Oh shit." (Y/N) flew up, dodging the door in its entirety.
"The gold... it isn't here!!" Usopp yelled out to his team.
"Looks like they pulled one over on us guys." Zoro crossed his arms as (Y/N) landed next to him.
"I have to hand it to them." Robin stared at the vault that only contained a diagram of a weird looking fish (Y/N) has never seen before.
"I wish I could eat a fish that big right now." Luffy laughed while Usopp scolded him for thinking about food at a time like this.
"Commander Jonathan knew you would come here after stealing the map." The officer spoke up. "There's no where to run. Give up!"
Usopp questioned if the group should just wait for Nami and Sanji to save them, but Robin quickly stated that she has no doubt reinforcements will arrive any minute now and that they need to leave as soon as possible.
"Yeah! If our gold's not here. We need to go look for it someplace else." Luffy told his crew. Usopp tried to remind his captain that the group will have to fight their way out just to get to the doors.
"Sounds like a great plan to me, Usopp." (Y/N) spun her sickles on her fingers while Zoro questioned what the problem was about fighting.
"Come on you guys! We're getting out of here!" Luffy punched his fist into his other hand making (Y/N) more fired up.
"Not if the men of Navarone have anything to say about it!" The officer yelled back at the group.
The sounds of banging was heard making everyone, marines included, look at the doors confused. Major Shepard walked in followed by a small squad of troops. "End of the line. Pirate scum!"
"Condoriano?" Usopp and (Y/N) questioned in unison.
"You came to the vault, just as I predicted you would." Shepard said as he walked to the front lines.
"Just who the hell are you?! And who gave you permission to open those doors?!" The officer yelled at the man.
"Who am I?! I'm a Special Inspector from HQ!!" His words shut the officer up. "The name's Major Shepard. Your commander gave me and my special unit permission to open those doors. We'll take it from here. You and your men aren't needed anymore."
'That takes care of the door problem.' (Y/N) thought to herself, looking at the door behind the marines.
"Hey wait. Don't I know you?" Luffy thought for a minute. "Oh! You were the guy locked up in jail with Usopp, (Y/N) and Zoro! What are you doing bossing these guys around?!" His words seemed to piss off the man.
"Yo Condoriano, how did you manage to escape." Usopp questioned the man ready to blow a fuse.
"You're looking well." Robin said with a smirk on her face.
"I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to this. Thanks to you I've dealt with humiliation, incarceration and being called Candoriano!" Shepherd yelled at the group as the officer walked up to him.
"Major Shepherd!"
"What?! Can't you see I'm talking here?!!" The major fired back at the officer.
"You're gonna need more more men. Trust me, I say this from experience. Just don't underestimate them, Major." The officer tried to offer some friendly advice, but the major wasn't hearing any of it and yelled at him for letting pirates run circles around them.
"Are you done yet?" Luffy asked the man with slight irritation.
"YES! Just like your pathetic lives are about to be!" Shepard yelled at the straw hat before issuing one of his men to bring him his weapons.
The group watched as the man giggled like a child over a weapon called the Eagle Launcher. "It's as deadly as it's name sake, I assure you. Plus it packs as much punch as a war ship's main cannon!" This words man the marines behind him back up in fear.
"Is that supposed to scare us?" (Y/N) questioning the man before waving him off.
"I'm not scared!" Luffy said, getting into a fighting position.
"You asked for it, Straw Hat. DIE!" The man pulled back on the bazooka's trigger only for it to shoot backwards.
"That was anticlimactic." (Y/N) yawned as the major turned around, knocking the big gun on a marine's head.
"Major! You have it backwards!" The marine who fell back, handed him an instructor manual.
"Is this really happening right now." (Y/N) questioned aloud to her group.
"Yep." They said back to the woman in bored agreement.
"Shut up, I'll get him this time!!" The man faced the bazooka the right way, but Robin quickly used her devil fruit to twist him around and fire at the marines before pointed the bazooka straight down, sending the major into the celling then crashing back down.
"Ouch." (Y/N) flinched when she saw the man hit the floor.
"Condoriano is such a blast!" Usopp's pun made (Y/N) facepalm.
"Why did he come here again?" Zoro threw out a question for his group.
"He and his special mobile unit weren't very impressive." (Y/N) agreed with Usopp's words as he climbed out of the door's hole he was in.
"Shall we get going then?" Robin said with a smile.
"Yeah! And find our gold!" Luffy told his crew mates and started running, his group followed quickly behind him. "Where do you think the our gold's at??
Zoro scoffed at Luffy's questioned. "How should I know?!"
After a long while of running, the group made it back outside only slowing down after they saw no more marines chasing them. "We need to find someplace to hold up and rethink our plan."
"Is there even such a thing as a safe place here?" Usopp questioned. Luffy through out the suggestion of the kitchen, but Zoro quickly shut it down.
"What's on your mind, (Y/N)? You've been oddly quiet since we rid of those marines." Robin asked the woman who was deep in thought.
The group turned and looked at her causing her to look up at the abrupt stop. (Y/N) looked at them confused. "We are stopping, why exactly?"
"Did you not hear Robin?" Usopp asked the (h/c) haired woman.
(Y/N) shook her head 'no' before sighing. "I just can't help it. The marine officer said that Jonathan moved our gold from the vault, but where?? I mean where else is safe enough for the commander to move our gold to exactly."
"Good point. I don't think I saw anywhere else on the map that looked as heavily guarded as the vault." Usopp said back to the woman. "Anyways, that doesn't change the fact that Robin said about us needing to find somewhere safe to rethink our plan." (Y/N) sighed, but agreed.
The group somehow found themselves back in the base. Usopp questioned Luffy if he knew where he was going, but of course the hungry and sleepy boy was as lost as Zoro with a compass.
Robin held up the map. "According to this map, we're in the medical ward."
"Shh! I hear someone!" Usopp put his ear up to a door, followed by Luffy.
"What are the morons doing now..." (Y/N) stared at the boys.
"It's that doctor who acted as our hostage." Robin said and Usopp pointed out the old shipwright was there too.
The group walked inside and explained what happed thus far to the doctor and her father in hopes of finding some answers. Usopp questioned the old man if there was something wrong with him since he had medicine he needed to take. Gramps claimed that there was nothing a drink couldn't fix, but his alcohol was quickly snatched from him by his daughter causing the relatives to argue.
"I hope I don't have to be like that to you one day." (Y/N) whispered over to Zoro who just laughed in response.
"Old man you should really listen to your daughter, I mean your doctor." Usopp said to the man.
"You're lecturing me?! The same guys who hinds I saved, but instead of escaping they come waltzing right back here?!! Oh that's rich! Is that blasted gold really that important to you guys??" Mekao questioned the groups behavior.
"Oh course, old repair guy. We are pirates, after all." Luffy told the man, even Kobato defended the crew saying that she bet the crew earned the gold through hard work.
"We were saving that gold." Usopp said with saddens in his eyes.
"Saving?!" Mekao questioned.
"Yeah we were going to hire a shipwright to make major repairs to the Going Merry, like you said we should." Mekao questioned Usopp's words which caused the men to have a heated argument.
"Dad, I believe him!" Kobato spoke up causing the men to stop arguing. "It's not just their ship. It's also their... home." She smiled at her father.
Surprising Mekao helped the group out with a route that would take them right up to the mountains. (Y/N) flew to the top in to time at all, resting on the top of the cliff's grass while she waited for her crew members.
"Do you always like to show off?" Zoro asked her once he reached the top followed by Robin.
"Nah, only when you're around." (Y/N) said sarcastically before floating up, placing her feet on the ground.
"So what are we supposed to do now? Just wander around aimlessly until we find the gold?" Usopp questioned as Zoro got ready to unsleeve is sword. "Hey what is it?"
"Quite. I thought I heard something." He whispered to the group causing them listen for any sounds. "Then again. Maybe not."
"No I hear it too." Just as Robin said that, everyone heard a weird buzzing noise.
"Huh? Something's coming." Usopp peaked over the cliff. "The waiver? And Nami!"
The group explained what happened from when they left to now to Nami. Usopp unfortunately told the navigator that they still had know clue on where the gold was.
Luffy yawned loudly causing (Y/N) to yawn as well. "I'm getting sleepy." The Straw Hat said aloud.
"I second that. I could so go for a nap right about now." (Y/N) sat next to Luffy and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Dawn's gonna be here before we know it and it's going to get a lot harder to sneak around." Zoro said, ignoring the two who were falling asleep. "We need a plan."
Nami questioned if there were any more storage vaults, but Robin pointed out something crucial. "Even if there are more, they could just be bait to lead us into another trap."
Robin's words reminded Usopp of something Mekao told him about bait. "Hiding bait in plain sight I think that was it."
"Usopp that's it!" Nami yelled out. "Well the bait is obviously the gold. If it isn't locked away, it's somewhere where we can see it. And what if 'in plain sight' meant in plain sight of a craft fisherman?!"
"Oh nice thinking!" Robin complimented Nami's smarts. Although Zoro wasn't thinking so fast and questioned what the two were talking about. "It's simple. Really, who's the person dangling our bair to catch us right now?"
"You mean the commander of this place?" Zoro asked.
"Right! The commander is the fishermen. And if the bait is in pain sight really is in plain sight of the fisherman, then there really is only one place our gold can be kept."
"You don't mean?!" Usopp questioned Nami's words as she smacked Luffy on his head to wake him up with her blue metal rod. Luffy's sudden movements made (Y/N) sit up and rub her eyes.
"You did say you knew where the commander's office was, so take me there." Nami said to her captain.
"Uhh okay." Luffy looked at her confused.
"Alright, Luffy and I will go. Robin, you and the others get back to the old dock. Chopper and Sanji will be waiting for you." Nami gave her orders, but Robin made sure to ask the ginger if she wanted any back up. "No. The waiver can only hold two people."
"Zoro!! Carry me!!" (Y/N) yawned as she held up her arms, but the swordsman walked pasted her.
"That was one time. Never again." Zoro watched as (Y/N) fell on her back in defeat and fake cried to the man. "Ugh fine. If it gets you to shut up."
"Yay!" (Y/N) jumped on his back making Robin giggle and Usopp ask him to be carried next which Zoro sternly declined.
Once they boarded the ship, (Y/N) ran past the lovesick Sanji to hug Chopper. "I'm so sorry for leaving you here all alone, Chopper! I bet you were so brave guarding the ship all by yourself!"
"Oh stop it! You're not going to make me happy or anything like that, you hear!" Chopper said in a happily voice, hugging the (h/c) haired girl back.
"Where's my hug at?" Sanji was sulking from the lack of attention.
(Y/N) put down Chopper and walked back to the cook. "Thank you Sanji for protecting the Merry as well." (Y/N) kisses his cheek causing him to faint from a nose bleed.
Zoro scoffed at the (h/c) haired woman's actions. "I carried you on my back all the way here and I didn't even get a thanks."
"Awe does big mean swordsman want a kiss too?" Zoro's face turned a deep red as he started to walk away. "Oh no, come back. You wanted this."
"Get away from me, woman!" The blushing swordsman dodged and weaved every time (Y/N) went to catch him.
"What is happening?!" Usopp questioned, confused as he looked at the scene before him.
"I think (Y/N) is a bit sleep deprived." Robin laughed as her friends ran circles around each other.
"Alright you idiots! It's time to set sail! Let's go get our gold and the hell out of here!" Usopp yelled out as the others 'AYE'ed back to him.
Ussop was at the top of the mast after the crew set sail. "It's them! Hey! Luffy, Nami! Over here!" Finally the gold, waiver, navigator and captain made it back aboard the Merry.
The crew drove the ship into another war ship, allowing the disguise to break off. "FULL SPEED AHEAD, MERRY!! YEAH!!!" Luffy yelled from his captain seat.
"Thanks for showing us where the currents are! We couldn't have made it this far without you!" Nami yelled at the Maine war ship as they passed by.
"Yeah! Let's get to the sea gate and get out!" Luffy cheered along side the others on deck.
