Seriously, what was that?
I felt my head spinning, and I was too hesitant to open my eyes.
My body is sore and everything, but since wala talaga akong choice but to live the life I have, minulat ko mata ko.
Medyo nagulat pa ako to see West, peacefully sleeping on my bed.
We have separate rooms, but normal na rin samin na magkatabi matulog.
Minsan, ako yung natutulog sa room nya, minsan sya itong dumadayo.
Well, except pag di kami okay. Halos di kami magpapansinan nang buong araw. Although, never naman talaga lumagpas ng isang araw pagtatampuhan namin.
At the end, isa samin unang mag sosorry.
Mas madalas nga lang ako. Medyo mapride kasi si West even sya talaga may kasalanan.
I felt my face heat up nang maalala session naming dalawa sa kotse kagabi.
Bumangon na ako nang dahan dahan trying my best not to wake her up bago dumiretso sa baba.
Halos tulala ako na di ko na napansin na tumunog na pala yung toaster.
My head is really spinning. Dala siguro sa dami ng nainom ko kagabi.
At this point you might be wondering, magkaibigan lang ba talaga kami ni West lalo't may nangyari kagabi.
Yes.
It was not the first time na may ganung eksena between us, we always ask each other and we always give the same answer.
We're just friends and yun na yun.
Let's say, we just help each other out sometimes.
Basta, complicated sya to explain.
Minsan na ring napasok sa isip ko, if West and I fucks each other, does it mean she's cheating on her boyfriend?
But, it's the least of my worries. Like I said, I hate that guy.
Since wala na rin naman akong relatives na kilala, the only thing I care about is myself and of course, West.
She's the last one I have. Well, I mean andyan friends ko, but that's a different story.
I was peacefully eating my breakfast nang mag ring phone ko. Since it was too early to be in a foul mood, sinagot ko nalang agad.
"Oh my gosh, himala!" tuwang tuwang tugon ni Danielle sa kabilang linya.
I just rolled my eyes kahit di nya naman kita.
"What do you want?"
"Ikaw."
"Fuck off."
"Hoy! Joke lang. Busy ka ba mamaya?"
Saglit pa akong napaisip, remembering everything I have planned for later.
"Not much, why?"
"Birthday kasi ng friend ko, and gusto kita ipakilala," she said na agad naman nagpakunot ng noo ko.
"Wala ako maalalang may sinabi akong ireto mo ako."
"Wala nga, but come on! Puro ka nalang West, West, West. It's time you find yourself your own someone," she explained.
She does have a point. Almost ilang years na rin kasi since last ako sumabak ng relationship.
Since my last relationship, which is nung 3rd year pa ako, never na ulit ako nag committ.
You can say, my last ex pretty much gave me traumas. In result, I'm too scared to commit again.
Ever since then, I promised to never care about others except West and I.
"Hello, andyan ka pa? Pinagiisipan mo naman masyado," biro ni Danielle nang mapatagal pananahimik ko.
"It's a no for me."
"What? Come on Rei!"
"Not interested. If you're just going to pursue me, I'll end the call na."
"Wait! Fine, di na. But at least come with me?" she begged.
I can visualize her with puppy eyes.
I let out a sigh before massaging my forehead a bit.
"Fine."
Di nya rin naman ako titigilan even tho I turn her down. In the end, pupuntahan nya parin ako para pilitin sumama.
So, rejecting to go with her over the phone is pretty useless.
I heard her squeal loudly, dahilan para bahagya kong ilayo sa tenga ang phone.
After that, she hung up happily.
I let out a weighty sigh, put my phone away bago yumuko sa lamesa.
Halos mawalan naman ako ng kaluluwa nang biglang may nagsalita sa gilid ko.
"Ang aga aga, yet you're already in a sour mood."
It was West na kababa lang, she's on her phone as usual, still wearing the white polo I was wearing last night dahilan para uminit tenga ko.
"None of your business," I whispered softly bago yumuko ulit, trying to hide my red ears.
I just heard her chuckle before hearing her footsteps going to the kitchen.
Nakayuko ako nang ilang saglit pa, maya maya, I heard her pull the chair beside me.
She gave my head a little rub before sitting down, dahilan para iangat ko ulo ko and look at her.
How come she looks so peaceful this early in the morning?
She looks like she's preserved with energy for the day. Eh ako nga, wala pang 7:00 am, pagod na agad.
In this house, sanay na kaming maaga parehas gumigising, pero saaming dalawa, sya lang itong energetic sa umaga.
Sa gabi ako nabubuhay, I'm nocturnal, but West likes calling it galawang adik.
She's already having her breakfast, it's all greens. Di ko naman maiwasan hindi ngumiwi.
West looks at me then laughs habang umiiling.
"Diring diri ha?"
"How do you enjoy that? Kambing ka ba?" I asked her while looking at her chew through the leaves.
"You need to learn how to eat veggies, Rei. Im actually surprised na maganda katawan mo kahit puro ka junk foods," she said, her eyes locked on the phone.
"I don't like eating grass."
"These are not grass. If gusto mo ng damo talaga, ngatngatin mo yung nasa front yard," she said laughing.
I just rolled my eyes while looking at her enjoy her food pero abala sa cellphone.
"Kumakain pero nasa phone yung tingin," tugon ko naman making her laugh.
"You're like a mother scolding me."
"Whatever."
"Aw! since you're here might as well tell you na. I'll be coming home late, nag aya sila Kaede mag club," she explained before putting her phone away and looking at me with a bright smile.
At this point, I can't help but feel mayabang. Mas una nya pa ako inupdate kesa sa boyfriend nya.
She always does pala.
"Yeah, whatever."
"Eh! ang aga aga ang sungit," reklamo ni West.
I just shrugged my shoulders bago tumayo, picked up my plates before dumiretso sa kusina.
Today, I have decided na pumasok nang maaga para maaga rin ako matapos sa shoot.
Wala naman kasi kami dance practice ngayon, or any other errands to do sa dance studio kaya photoshoot lang problema ko today.
After washing the plates I used, dumiretso na ako sa taas to get ready, si West naman kumakain parin while giggling on her phone.
1 hour has passed and halos kakatapos ko lang. It's already 7:30, sakto lang para makapasok ako nang maaga sa studio.
I was about to leave na nang tawagin ako ni West, so I came back in.
"What is it?" tanong ko pagkapasok ko ulit sa bahay.
She walked to me then gave me a paper bag.
I was confused kaya nakakunot noo ko while looking at her.
"Make sure kakainin mo yan. If I ever find out na tinapon or pinamigay mo, di kita papansinin isang linggo," she threatened while holding her fist up.
"But, I usually eat out,"
"Well, i don't care, baunin mo yan. Shoo!" she said while pushing me out of the house.
"Shoo talaga? walang bye?" I joked.
"Edi bye, shoo na!"
"Whatever," I said, laughing bago naglakad pabalik sa kotse ko.
The thing is, marunong din naman mag drive si West. She just likes riding with me instead of driving kaya di masyado nagagamit kotse nya.
Her boyfriend also usually picks her up whenever they go out. You can say, she's a passenger princess.
If yung pasahero mo, passenger princess. What do you call the driver though? Like, driver lang talaga? Or do they refer it to something else?
I gently place the paper bag beside the driver's seat.
Saglit ko pang tinignan ano laman.
It's in a pink tupperware with a little piece of paper on top with a handwritten message.
"Try to smile more often today, you're prettier when you're happy:)"
I can't help but giggle reading her message.
She's annoying sometimes but mas madalas mga panahon na cute sya.
I honked one last time before starting to drive off.
Dumiretso na ako sa bahay nila Danielle since nagpasundo sya.
Sasama sya sakin today sa studio para raw sure na sisiputin ko sya mamaya.
When I got there, pagbukas nya ng passenger seat I looked at her and told her to seat on the backseat.
"Lah, bakit dun pa, may susunduin ka pang babae mo 'no?" she asked.
"What? No! May nakapatong kasi sa fron seat."
"Kita ko nga, ano ba laman nun?"
"Nothing, just get your ass back there please."
"Ay wow, nag please," she joked as she close the door para pumunta sa backseat.
Thank God nalinis ko kotse ko after ng ginawa namin ni West kagabi.
"Ah.. Rei?"
"Yeah?"
"Sinong inuwi mo kagabi?"
"What the heck? Wala?"
"Weh?"
"Wala nga, Elle."
"Edi kaninong damit ito?," she said while holding up a shirt she found on the backseat.
Agad nanlaki mata ko so I turned to grab it from her hand.
Luckily, di nya alam na damit 'to ni West.
She was laughing devilishly and I just rolled my eyes at her.
"Ibang klase ka talaga. Im impressed with the number of girls you bring to bed."
"You're making me look like a fuck girl," tugon ko naman habang tinutupi yung damit.
"You are."
"Definitely not."
"Says the girl na ilang babae na natira," she said making me turn my head back at her again.
"Can we not?"
Agad naman itong nagtaas kamay habang tumatawa.
"Sorry sorry. I forgot that you only fuck girls pag masama loob mo kay West," she said smirking.
Agad naman ako lumapit sakanya bago sya hinampas sa ulo.
"Aray ha! Eto na tatahimik na."
"One more word, itong kamao ko? Mamaya kinakain mo na," i threatened while holding up my fist.
"Sorry na boss. Tara na," she said laughing.
Umiling nalang ako bago umayos nang upo and focused on the road to start driving.
Pano ko kaya ipapatumba to? Masyado na marami nalalaman sakin.
