"I'll be back" saying this he excused himself
Reaching at the main door,he eyed everywhere but couldn't find anything. He moved towards garden for assurance but couldn't find anything there too. He shook his head and turned,but somebody from back covered his neck. Maanveer stopped with jerk. He was suffocating
"Kya hua hukumsa,bhul gaye mujhe" it was raaka,he laughed
(What happened your majesty, you forgot me)
"Raaka, kisi ne sahi kaha hai,kutte ki dum kabhi sidhi nahi ho sakti" maanveer said gritting his teeth
(Raaka, someday said true that a dog's tail never straightens)
"You're comparing me with dog,Hukum I'm wildest than lion" he said pressing his elbow on Maanveer's throat
"Lion" maanveer chuckled " tu to gidhad hai,jo piche se war karta hai" he said
(Lion? You are jackal, who backstabes)
Their conversation left in mid way when they heard aashi's voice

"Aashi,go inside and lock the door" maanveer yelled and ordered her
"No veer,how can..." saying this she moved forward but maanveer interrupted
"Aashi stop, please go inside Nothing will happen to me I promise,you please go inside" he said trying to get out from raaka's grip
"But veer" She was again cut of by maanveer
"Apko humari kasam Aashi please jaiye,humare baby ke bare mai sochiye" he said in bit anger
Aashi wasn't ready to leave but she thought about their baby. She turned her heels and left inside. Locking the door from inside she stood there holding doorknob with waves of tears,she was hell scared
"Hukum,ranisa ko to andar bhej diya,par khud ko kaise bachayenge" raaka said
(You sent her inside,but how will you save yourself)
"Don't you dare to mention her,I will peel out your skin" maanveer warned
Maanveer pushed him with force and in result raaka fall down. Maanveer's eyes were red due to anger now. He rolled his sleeves up,removing his wedding ring he put it in pocket. He removed his belt and took step forward. Raaka tried to got up but he got injury in knees so he fall down again
"Get up" manaveer ordered dangerously
He again tried to get up but failed. Maanveer bend down and grabbed his collar
"How dare you to come here " maanveer said and slapped him hard
Maanveer stood up and started beating him with belt. Raaka was screaming in pain holding his knees. Aashi flinched hearing his screaming. Tears were continually rolling down from her eyes. She hold her stomach protectively
"Ranisa" raaka said looking back,maanveer narrowed his eyes and turned but didn't find anyone. Raaka stood up and pushed maanveer. Maanveer wasn't that weak that he will fall down with his push, he just back stepped little. Raaka bend down and grabbed his gun and aimed at Maanveer's forehead. Maanveer didn't moved a bit. Even his eyes got darken with this. He threw his belt on ground
"Shoot" manaveed ordered
"I will shoot hukum,Don't take me otherwise " raaka said shivering
"I said shoot" maanveer roared, Aashi heard him saying this,she got panicked and opened the door
"Hukum,I will...I..will shoot" raaka again trembled
"Shoot " maanveer roared, raaka triggered and they three heard gunshot voice
Maanveer was on floor with blood in his arms,Aashi was standing beside raaka putting her hands on her ears and raaka was confused what just happened
When raaka was about to triggered, Aashi ran towards them and pushed maanveer. But due to his badluck, he got injured in his arms
Aashi stood there as statue,her hands were on her ears. Maanveer looked at her and then raaka,raaka's eyes were on Aashi
"Aashi go inside" maanveer ordered
"Veer...your...arms...it's...it's..bleeding " she said sitting on knees
"Don't worry about me jaana please go inside" maanveer pleaded
Before anything can happen, raaka put Aashi on gunpoint. Maanveer looked at him horror. Aashi too was scared
"Chalo,ek tir se do nahi nahi teen shikar ho jayenge" raaka said and laughed evilly
"Raaka,Don't " maanveer warned widing his eyes
"Veer" Aashi called him,he looked at her. She blinked her eyes in assurance
"What do you want" Aashi asked raaka without turning, holding Maanveer's hand
"I wanted land before, but now I want one night with you" raaka said and smirked
"You bastard" maanveer roared
"Shh...veer." Aashi made maanveer calmed
"But I have one condition " Aashi said without turning,maanveer looked at her in horror
"Jaana,are you in your senses" maanveer asked angrily
"Yes veer,please let me handle this" Aashi said with determination
"Ranisa seems intelligent,anyways what's the condition" raaka said
"You'll not show your face after....after this" Aashi said
"I promise" raaka instantly agreed
"Okay,but first remove this gun from my head " Aashi said and stood
"Jaana" maanveer looked at her in disbelief
"Bye bye hukum" raaka said and removed gun from her head. He was busy teasing maanveer when Aashi turned and kicked him between his legs with her knees. He fall down with jerk
"You bastard,how dare you to think that" Aashi said with red eyes,maanveer smiled proudly holding his bleeding arms
"You" raaka said and stood up to grab gun,but maanveer snatched it and throw in air towards Aashi. She catched
"I can bear anything if it's upon me,par agar humare veer par baat aai,to hum Sita se kali ban ne mai Der nahi karenge " Aashi said pointing gun on raaka's forehead with red eyes
"It's cheating " raaka said
"Talking about cheating doesn't suits you" Aashi said
"I..I will surrender myself, but please don't shoot me" raaka said joining his hands
"Itni jaldi har man li" Aashi asked
(Gave up this easily)
"Please ranisa, don't shoot me" he pleaded
"Don't listen to him Aashi,just shoot" maanveer ordered
"Please don't shoot"
"Aashi shoot"
"No please"
"Jaana just shoot him dammit "
"Please ranisa"
"Stoppppp" aashi said putting her hands on her ears "just stop" she added. First, she was scared like hell and second he never in her life killed any insect. It was difficult for her to shoot anyone. She was breathing heavily.maanveer was trying hard to get up but failed everytime as he got injured on knees. Taking chance,raaka stood up and grabbed rod which was near him. He slammed rod on aashi's back side of head
"Aashi" maanveer shouted
Aashi's grip on gun got losen,gun fall down. She hold her head,her hands were getting red,blood started oozing out. Everything stopped for a second. Raaka getting chance ran away. Aashi fall down in Maanveer's lap. He looked at her with tears in eyes
"Jaana,Jaana please wake up,please open your eyes" maanveer said crying and tapping her cheeks
"Veer..veer..our...ba...baby...please...save...our...baby" she said with broken voice
"Nothing will happen to our baby and you,I promise" he said and took her in his arms, blood started oozing out from his arms heavily. He put Aashi in car and drove to the hospital
Maanveer was sitting closing his eyes and leaning back. Raghuvanshi's came towards him. Aarav set beside him and put his hand on Maanveer's shoulder gently
"Bhaisa,where is bhabhisa" aarav asked in low voice
"Inside the ICU" maanveer said without opening his eyes,aarav saw dry tears on his cheeks,Aarav felt pang in his heart after seeing his brother's condition
"Don't worry maan,nothing will happen to them" shashidhara, his dadisa came and sat beside him. But maanveer didn't responded
Tears started rolling down from sharda,shashidhara and mishka's eyes. Men of the family had moist eyes. Tear escaped from Aarav's eye too but he wiped it instantly
"Mishka,you go back. Kiaan will need you" maanveer ordered without opening his eyes
Mishka shook her head in negative looking at aarav
"Don't worry about him bhai, his nany is with him" aarav said
They heard door opening sound. Doctor came our with sad face. Maanveer opened his eyes and saw him but stayed there.Everyone got scared looking at Doctor's face. Aarav stood up
"How's they" aarav asked
"Ranisa is out of danger now" Doctor informed and they took breath of relief, maanveer too felt relax hearing this, everyone had little smile
"And what about baby, baby is also safe right " mishka asked wiping her tears
Doctor looked down,not having guts to meet gaze with them. They looked at him in horror
"Say something doctor, baby is safe,right" nityam asked
"I'm sorry hukum,but we couldn't save baby,ranisa lost so much blood" doctor informed
Eveyone stood there with shock. Shashidhara collapse on bench. Mishka put her hands on her mouth. Tears started rolling down from sharda's eyes. Aarav rub his forehead controlling his tears. Nityam,Vikram and shashank too had tears. But maanveer was sitting there with no expression. He too was broken after hearing about his baby,but now he is more worried thinking about Aashi. He closed his eyes and took deep breath and stood up opening his eyes
"I want to meet her" maanveer ordered to doctor
"You can hukum,but she is unconscious" doctor informed with scared look
"Can I meet her" he asked and doctor nodded,maanveer left inside
Closing the door,he saw her laying on bed unconscious. He move forward and sat beside her. Taking her hand on his,he kissed her hand and started caressing her forehead
"Veer...our...our..baby...our.. baby...is..fine...na" Aashi said in unconsciousness
"Yes jaana,our baby is alright " he lied and kissed her forehead
"Veer..." she was saying but maanveer put his finger on her lips
"Shhhh....take same rest jaana,I'm here only" he said and continued caressing her forehead
"Hukum,can you please leave,ranisa needs to take rest" nurse came and informed him looking down
Maanveer stood up and kissed her forehead, glancing at her stomach he left. Evryone tilted their heads when they heard door opening voice,but maanveer ignoring Eveyone left from there. Aarav tried to follow him but mishka stopped him by holding his hand,aarav looked at her
"He will not cry infront of anyone, let him cry in alone" mishka said and tear slipped from her eye,her eyes were bumped due to crying. Aarav wiped her tears and shook his head in negative to convey the silent message not to cry
Maanveer opened his car door,sat on driver seat and shut the door. Putting his head on steering he yelled. He yelled and cried. It was first Time he was crying after his mother's death. He never became weak even when they got to know about aashi's complications. He said he Don't want kids so Aashi can relax, but deep inside he wants kids. He wants to experience fatherhood. He wants to drop his kids at school and scold them if they do any mistake. He wants to give love to his kids. But his priority was and is Aashi. He now doesn't know how will he handle her. He was continually sobbing holding steering.
"What will I say to you Aashi " he said between his sobs
This is the most emotional yet difficult chapter I've written till the date. It was difficult for me to right such scenes,I hope you're satisfied with my writing. Please do votes and comments on this chapter specially.
