"You are my fire" Camila began
"The one desire" Jesse continued
"Believe! When I say" The two continued to sing
"I want it that wa-" The two were cut off as Dale shushed them. The radio box was going off
"Be quiet! I heard someone on the radio" Dale said catching everyone's attention. Camila and Jesse looked at the other
"Hello. Hello. Can anybody hear my voice?" A male asked over the radio. Amy tossed the sticks she was carrying to the ground as she ran over to the box
"Hey. Hello?" She asked
"Can you hear my voice?" The man asked
"Yes, I can hear you. You're coming through. Over" Amy said
"You know you don't have to say 'over', right?" Camilia asked the strawberry blonde. Amy rolled her eyes as she ignored Camila. The others had made it to the shitty radio box
"If anybody reads, please respond. Broadcasting on emergency channel. Will be approaching Atlanta on highway 85. If anybody reads, please respond" The man said
"We're just outside the city. Damn it" Amy said as the radio crackled. There was silence
"Hello? Hello? He couldn't hear me. I couldn't try to warn him" Amy told Dale
"Try to raise him again" Dale told the girl before he looked at Shane, the leader of this fine little group. "Come on, son, you know best how to work this thing"
Shane threw down his axe and tried messing with the radio box
"Hello, hello. Is the person who called still on the air? This is officer Shane Walsh broadcasting to person unknown. Please respond" Shane said but was met with the radio crackling. Jesse had this grin on his face
"Um, Shane.. maybe try saying pretty please with a cherry on top" Jesse said as he began giggling. Lori gave Jesse a glare
"What about this is funny? That man is gonna die!" Lori explained. Jesse snorted at her comment
"Do I look like I give a flying fuck?" Jesse asked as he laughed. Carl giggled, which made Lori even angrier
"Jesse, there are children around" Camila told her best friend. He side-eyed her
"Oh, do we wanna go there? Because I think I recall that time when your little cousin opened your drawer and saw-" Jesse was cut off as Camila put him in a chokehold
"Ain't nobody need to know about that" Camila threatened him. It wasn't one of Camila's finest moments and it was even harder trying to explain it to her parents. She shivered at the memory. Carl was curious
"What did your cousin find?" Carl asked as Camila let go of Jesse
"Nothing, sweetie" Lori told her son. Carl wasn't convinced though. Shane sighed
"Well, that guy's dead" Shane said as he put down the radio. Lori looked at him. Those two have been 'low-key', notice how I put that in quotations. They've been 'low-key' fucking. Except it's not lowkey because Camila and Jesse share a tent, next to those two and it's really.. really hard to sleep. Poor Carl.
"There are others. It's not just us" Lori said hopefully
"Well soon there won't be, because that man is entering suicide city" Camila said
"It's really not that funny" Amy said to Camila. Camila gave her a glare
"Do I look like I'm smiling? I'm just stating a fact" She said
"We ought to put signs up on 85 to warn people away from the city" Lori said
"Folks got no idea what they're getting into" Amy said
"Well, we haven't had time" Shane said
"I think we need to make time" Lori tried to reason. Shane began scratching his non-existent beard
"Yeah, that- that's a luxury we can't afford" Shane said
"I say let 'em die, let 'em die. Let 'em shrivel and die!" Jesse sang out which got glares from majority of the group. Camila and Jesse weren't exactly the most popular people in the group due to their inability to be serious. However, they got along well with Glenn. Glenn was the only one thought the two were funny. Shane looked at Lori
"Look Lori, we are surviving here. We are day to day" Shane said. Dale looked at Lori
"And who the hell would you propose we send?" Dale asked. Lori looked at Camila and Jesse
"Those two" She said. Camila gave the woman a glare
"So, look. I know you're grieving because your husband is dead or whatever, but like imagine if he wasn't dead, and then he found out you were shagging his best friend. That would be crazy, right?" Camila asked Lori who's jaw dropped. Everyone went silent
"Oh shit!" Jesse said as he laughed. Carl was confused
"Mom, what's shagging?" He asked. Lori looked like she was gonna burst a blood vessel
"Stop listening to Camila. She's a bad influence" Lori said before dragging away her annoying ass little kid. Shane gave Camila a glare before chasing after his sneaky link
"Why would you say that to her?" Amy asked
"We were all thinking it" Camila defended herself
It was a beautiful day outside. The birds were singing, flowers were blooming. On days like these, people like them, should probably be burning in hell. Dale was on top of his RV on watch. Camila and Jesse were busy having a contest on who could catch the first fish. They were in the lake trying to catch fish by hand. Camila thought she saw one and tried to grab it, only to realize it was Jesse's leg
"I'm not a fish" He told her. She looked at him with a mischievous grin
"You sure look like one" She said before pushing him into the water. He fell backwards and his entire body fell into the water. Camila laughed until she felt someone pull her feet from under her. She landed her ass on the rough pebbles underneath the water. She heard Jesse laugh at her. That's when they started splashing eachother. They were like siblings
"Hey! Jesse, Dale needs an extra hand with his RV!" Jim yelled out. Jesse groaned
"I should've never told him I was a mechanic" Jesse muttered before walking out of the lake. Camila grinned victoriously
"That means I win! You have forfeit" Camila said with a smirk. Jesse snapped his head around
"No! You didn't catch a fish, so you didn't win" He explained. Camila raised a finger
"But you can't attempt to catch any fish, therefore disqualifying you, therefore meaning I win" Camila said. Jesse groaned before he walked off. Camila followed behind him. She grabbed a towel and attempted to dry herself off. The two walked up to the camp where they saw Amy pacing. Jesse ran over to Dale and began helping him with his RV
"It's late. They should've been back by now" Amy said
"Worrying won't make it any better" Dale said
"Maybe they all got eaten by the undead" Camila said as she wiggled her fingers. Amy gave her a glare before she slapped Camila. Everybody stopped. Camila felt the stinging sensation on her cheek
"My sister is out there getting supplies for you to survive! Stop making jokes like that" Amy told the woman. Camila gave Amy a death glare
"Alright bitch, somebody hold my earrings" Camila said as she began taking off her earrings. Jesse's eyes went wide as he rushed over and wrapped his arms around Camila's waist before she could attack. Amy stepped back
"Oh, you scared now?" Camila spat out as she struggled to get out of Jesse's hold
"Relax" Jesse told her. Camila sighed and stopped struggling. Jesse let her go
"Y'all bitches be testing me" Camila muttered. That's when they heard the radio go off. Dale was climbing up the ladder
"Base camp, this is T-Dog. Anybody hear me?" The voice asked. Dale grabbed the radio
"Hello? Hello? Reception's bad on this end. Repeat. Repeat" Dale said. There was no response. Lori had her hands on her hips
"Is that them?" She asked
"Did no one hear him say T-Dog, or was that just me?" Camila asked. Jesse looked at her
"I'm pretty sure I heard that, too" He said. Dale's eyes widened
"T-Dog, can you hear me?" He asked
"We're in some deep shit. We're trapped in the department store" T-Dog said. Shane began rubbing the back of his head
"He say they're trapped?" Shane asked
"There are geeks all over the place. Hundreds of 'em. We're surrounded" T-Dog said. Dale looked like he didn't understand. Perhaps it was because he was getting beyond his years
"T-Dog, repeat that last, repeat" Dale said but was only met with static
"He said the department store" Lori spoke up
"I heard it, too" Dale said
"So, now you can hear" Camilia muttered earning a chuckle from Jesse. Lori looked at her sneaky link
"Shane?" She asked. He looked back at her
"No way. We do not go after them. We do not risk the rest of the group. Yall know that" Shane said
"So we're just gonna leave her there?" Amy asked
"That's pretty much what he just said. I'm a little sad though. Glenn was the only funny person here other than me and Jesse. He will be missed" Camila said before she began singing
"Your here, there's nothing I fear and I know-" Camila was cut off
"Can you take one thing seriously" Amy asked. Camila chuckled before her face got sad
"You see.. I actually suffer from this thing.." Camila trailed off. Everyone was looking at her sadly. They didn't know, that she couldn't help it
"Oh, I'm sorry" Amy said. Camila nodded
"Of not giving a fuck!" She yelled out before she laughed. Everyone groaned
