Lyras pov
i felt nauseous. i don't get nervous usually but i don't know anyone at Hogwarts.
We got on the train and i followed Cyrus, he led me to the end of the train, where the Slytherins sat.
"Cyrus it's been a while, how've you been?" a tall boy with brown hair said as he took another drag from his cigarette.
"i've been good, finally been allowed to come to Hogwarts. How've you been Theo?"
"i'm alright. who's the girl?"
"oh right yeah, this is Lyra my sister she's starting as well as Reg and my other sister Nova"
"How did none of us know you and Reg have not only one but two sisters" a blonde boy said suspicion laced in his tone
"the dark lord forbid it" i finally spoke
All of a sudden everyone's head whipped towards me and i finally got a good look at them. There was a boy with longer brown hair that fell near his eyes, he had brown eyes and was holding a flask. Next to him was a blonde girl with a black headband who had a big smile on her face, on the edge was 'Theo'. Across from them was the blonde boy who looked fairly similar to the girl and next to him was a girl with an afro and a cigarette hanging in her hand.
"the others should be meeting us at school, i'm Stella Malfoy" the blonde girl, Stella, said as she held out her hand. I hesitantly took it and smiled back.
Cyrus gestures me to have a seat next to Theo as he sits next to one of the girls.
"hi i'm theo this is Lorenzo, Draco and Destiny"
i looked around the train compartment and saw Enzo offering me the flask but instantly snatched his hand back when he saw the stare Cyrus was giving him.
i saw Destiny and my brother having a heated conversation, as i was going to ask but Nova and Reg came up to us.
"where've you two been hmm?" i questioned
"i was catching up with a friend" reg bluntly said
hmmmm suspicious
they both sat down and the group continued to speak. we introduced everyone and i spoke with Destiny and Stella.
The train came to a stop and i followed Cyrus off the train keeping close by him. Once we got to the carriage we had to split up i went with Nova, Destiny and Stella whilst Reg went with Theo, Cyrus, Lorenzo and Draco.
"so how come you all weren't at hogwarts before?" destiny asked taking a new cigarette out of her pocket
"we don't really know we just know it was an instruction from the dark lord" Nova explained she went on to talk about the fact our dad wanted me and Nova a secret from everyone as 'women had no need to be seen in this world especially after your mother got sent to askaban'
shes back now so i guess she changed his mind.
i kept quiet i didn't really feel like opening up to these strangers
*time skip*
Me and Nova reached the great hall and saw Reg and Cyrus standing with a teacher
"Hello Lestrange's, welcome to hogwarts i am professor McGonagall and i will be helping you get sorted. Now what's going to happen is i will call you name you will then enter through these doors behind me and sit on the stool, the hat will then select your house and you will sit at your allacated house's table. the houses are:
slytherin
Gryffindor
hufflepuff
and ravenclaw"
we all nodded and the woman left
"Regulus Lestrange"
reg went in
SLYTHERIN
followed by cheering heard cheering
"Cyrus Lestrange"
cyrus went in
SLYTHERIN
followed by cheering
"Nova Lestrange"
i heard murmurs and gasps as she walked in
SLYTHERIN
cheering
"and lastly Lyra Lestrange"
as i walked in i tried to look confident but i was a wreck, i hate being stared at. once i reached the front she placed a hat on my head and instead of immediately yelling my house like it had for the others the damn hat took its bloody time.
"too cunning for Hufflepuff to dumb for Ravenclaw, where to put you?, where to put you?"
silence
"SLYTHERIN" the hat boomed
i turned on my heels and saw the people i met on the train and my siblings looking at me as well as new people. i went and sat across from enzo trying my best to ignore the whispers and murmurs.
"I'm glad your in Slytherin" Enzo said whilst grinning
he then got whacked on the back of the head by Cyrus
"i'm just glad i'm with Nova" i replied, straightening up as i saw the new people looking my up and down.
"Hi i'm Nia, we haven't met before. These are my brothers Blaise and Xavier and-"
she got cut off by a girl with short black hair
"and i'm pansy parkinson and this astoria greengrass but everyone calls us Pans and Tori. Dumbledore told us that you'll be sharing a dorm with me and Nova will be with Tori"
"that's great Pans, it's nice to meet you"
seating:
i then shook hands with the Zabini's. (Xavier and Blaise are twins btw just not identical) i looked to my right and saw Nova getting rather comfortable with Xavier, Theo was bickering with Draco and Cyrus and to my left Reg was catching up with Destiny and Blaise, Nia and stella we gossiping and pans and tori we rambling about there summer to anyone that was listening. i decided to speak with Enzo
" so enzo what's hogwarts like?"
he chucked then paused
"it's alright. classes are long and boring unless you have divination because that's just a piss take. there are often fights because matheo has serious anger issues. oh and parties are good there's at least once a month"
"matheo? who's that?"
"oh he's a guy in our year and our house you'll meet him soon he skips assembly's when their on the first day back because all the first years have to get sorted"
"ok. also how do you all know my brothers? i know people know they exist but how are you all so close with them?"
"we all come from death eater families, actually draco and Stella are your cousins. all of our families are tightly knit and we know your brothers from the meetings that are held at Malfoy Manor"
"that makes sense, me and nora knew about the meetings and we attended a few but the only people there were our family, a few death eaters but they were masked and You Know Who"
as me and enzo share stories and learn more about each other. the whole group gets up and leads us to the common room.
It's a big room that has emerald green walls and gold decorations. there's arm chairs,
desks, tables and sofas placed throughout the room and two sets of stairs on each side. there a fire place and a great big chandelier hung in the centre.
on one of the black leather arm chairs is a boy, he has curly brown hair, brown eyes and a few scars on his face. He's lying down on his back with his shoes dangling of the edge of the seat, listening to music whilst smoking a fag.
Matheos pov:
i hear the footsteps getting louder signalling to me that the first year assembly was over. as students came in i saw Draco and the others approaching me, but there were two new faces as well as two old ones.
"Cyrus and Regulus Lestrange, i never thought i see the day you two came to hogwarts"
i walked over to the group and saw two girls that looked fairly similar. one with curly brown hair the other straight brown hair they shared the same eye colour. One was stood with Xavier and the other was linking arms with Enzo.
"Father finally loosened up on the rules. i hope we weren't disrupting you brooding time" reg teased
Reg looked the same as the last time i saw him, his eyes looked more tired though and his hair had grown.
"good to see you mate, how've you been?" Cyrus asked
Cyrus looked different than last time. there were new scars on his face, he was taller and had more muscles.
"same old me, who are the girls?"
"these are our sisters, Lyra and Nova this is Matheo Riddle"
The girl with enzo was lyra she stuck her hand out and i shook it. neither of them seemed fazed by my last name which is unusual but it's nice for a change. the other girl, Nova, shook my hand with a smile.
"well lestrange siblings welcome to Hogwarts"
