Harry!
Andrew and I will be hosting a Christmas dinner.
I hope you can make it.
I love you,
Spencer

"White or Green?" Andrew asked her.
"Why would you want a white Christmas tree?"
"If it's mass produced, people are buying it" he answered.
"Green" she chuckled. "It goes with our color scheme."
He carried a box and put it in the cart.
"Andy."
"Yeah?"
"And eight foot tree? Seriously?"
"What?" he shrugged. "You'll do the bottom half."
She smacked his shoulder as he laughed.
"We own a ladder" he added.
She shook her head as she picked up another box of baubles for the tree.
"I can't believe it's almost the end of the year" she spoke out loud.
"I know... feels like we just started it."
She gave him a soft smile, "I'm very grateful to have you in my life Andy, I hope you know that."
He smiled, "I'm grateful to have you" he shook his head.
The two paid and left the store, "you should do your little magic trick" he said.
Spencer shook her head, "there's too many people around."
"Am I expected to carry this tree all the way back home?"
She laughed, "you are a man."
"Hell no" he placed the box that held the tree down.
Andrew waved down a cab, Spencer chuckled.
"We should've apparated" he muttered.
"You know why we didn't" she whispered.
"It's muggle city out here" he shook his head.
He placed the tree in the trunk before getting in with Spencer.
She giggled, "we should've asked Arthur to pick us up."
He nodded, thinking.
"We can split the taxi" she added.
He shook his head, "don't worry about it. Excuse me, sir?"
The driver looked at Andrew through the mirror. "Where did you buy this vehicle?"
"The company gives it to us" he answered. "They get the cars through a dealership and then paint them over."
Andrew nodded.
"There's no way you're serious?" Spencer asked.
"I'm just curious" he smiled.
Spencer stared out of the window, seeing as people walked by.
It started snowing.
She smiled.
The seasons were changing yet again.
Suddenly she remembered the snowball fight they all had together, Remus had gotten jealous that she and Abby were talking.
"Can't have her charm my girl now can I?"
Time is a funny thing.
She once was his girl.
Now she's... what is she?
Nothing.

The doorbell rang, "I'll get it" Andrew said as Spencer put the cookies in the oven.
"Sorry, I think I have the wrong apartment?" Spencer heard Gracie from the kitchen.
"Gracie!" Spencer yelled out. "In the kitchen."
Andrew led Gracie to her.
"Hey!" Spencer hugged her. "You didn't tell me you were coming over?"
"I was in the neighborhood" she shrugged.
"This is Andy, my roommate" Spencer introduced him.
"Please call me Andrew" he shook her hand.
"Gracie" she nodded. "I brought wine."
"I like you already" Andrew smiled before he got glasses.
"You okay?" Spencer mouthed to Gracie.
Gracie took a deep breath before nodding her head.
"Long day" she shrugged.
"Oh boy, don't you know it" Andrew spoke. "It's the seasonal depression" he handed her a glass.
Gracie chuckled, "is it really seasonal if it comes every season?"
He laughed.
"True that, true that" Spencer nodded as he poured her wine.
"How was your day?" Gracie asked her.
"We went shopping for a tree" she answered.
"It's our first tree, we have to make it memorable" he nodded.
"Any plans for the holidays?"
"Yes. We're having a party and you're coming! We'll get to meet Andrew's co workers and you'll get to meet Fred and George-"
"And most importantly it won't be boring because we will be drugged out of our minds" Andrew cut her off. "Unless you don't do drugs- there will be liquor" he nodded.
"Cocaine is a hard no for me" she answered.
"Oh my god! Me too" Spencer laughed. "Anything with a needle or snorting."
"Only weed will be at the function" Andrew chuckled.
"I can do weed. I do do weed."
"Dodo" Andrew snorted.
Spencer laughed, "do weed. I'm going to start saying that."
"Don't laugh- English isn't my first language!"
"It isn't mine either" she laughed harder. "Oh god" she wiped the tear that left her eye.
Gracie laughed.
"Do you guys always host holiday parties?"
She shook her head, "this is our first one hosting" she answered.
"Not a big fan of holidays but- when you have people in your life they make them special."
Spencer smiled before she wrapped her arm around Andrew's waist and hugging him tight.
"True" Gracie nodded.
"So, Gracie, Spencer tells me you go to uni?"
"Yeah, business" she nodded. "You?"
He shook his head, "I run our family business."
"Really? What do you do?"
He looked at Spencer, "he's like the accountant, good with numbers" she answered.
"Yeah, math and whatnot" he nodded.
"Oh! So a business major just without the diploma" she laughed.
"Yeah" he chuckled. "That's nepotism for you."
"I get it, I work for my grandfather" she nodded.
"To nepotism" Spencer raised a glass.
They brought their glasses together before they each drank from their own.
An hour passed, Gracie fell asleep on the couch.
"I love a good wine nap" Andrew stared at Gracie knocked out.
Spencer laughed, "I don't I get weird dreams" she shook her head.
"Like that asteroid one- that was crazy" he nodded.
"Oh my god I forgot about that one! It was such a vivid dream I kid you not."
He laughed, shaking his head.
"Wanna get stared on the tree?"
"Yeah, where should it go?"
"hmm... that corner?" he pointed. "I don't think it would look good next to the couch."
"You're right" she nodded. "I'll go upstairs and get the decorations."
"I'll take it out of the box."
Spencer went up to the attic, "where'd you leave it again?" she yelled.
"Next to your Christmas box!"
"My Christmas box? I don't have one!"
"Yes you do, it's by the window!"
Confused she walked to the window sill, she saw the green box Andrew had written Christmas on as well as a brown box that said decorations on it in her dad's handwriting.
She sat down, opening the box.
On top of everything there was a picture of a little Spencer, the year 1982 on the bottom right corner.
The soft frame that covered it had stickers all over it, santa, elves, cookies, snowmen and snowflakes.
She was smiling at the camera, missing a tooth as she wore a santa hat.
She took a deep breath as she smiled.
That little girl is in her, she is her.
She looked inside the box again, more projects she did as a kid were inside.
Paper baubles and snowflakes.
"Find it?" he yelled.
She went back down with the green box, her photo on top of it.
"Look" she showed him.
"Aw that's so cute" he took the photo. "This is going in the middle."
"We should find a picture of you."
"I'll look around" he nodded.
Andrew set up the tree, Gracie woke up twenty minutes after.
She found Spencer sitting on the floor and Andrew on a ladder.
"Comfy couch" she said up.
"Good morning sunshine" Spencer laughed. "You okay?"
"Yeah" she nodded. "Head hurts."
"That's what happens" Andrew nodded.
"Your phone keeps ringing by the way, am I harboring a fugitive?" Spencer asked.
Gracie quickly grabbed her phone, she looked at her missed calls and texts.
She rolled her eyes before putting it back in the table.
"Dad?" he asked.
"Ex boyfriend" she answered.
"Yuck."
She laughed, "I made the awful mistake of sleeping with him" she put her hands on her face.
"Spencer knows all about that" Andrew chuckled.
"You slept with Remus?" Gracie asked.
"You slept with Remus!" Andrew exclaimed, getting off of the ladder.
"No!" she stood up. "Andrew's talking about Jack."
"Who's Jack?"
"Gracie you gave me a heart attack!" he pointed at her.
She laughed.
"Jack is not worth mentioning" Spencer shook her head.
"You told her about Remus?" Andrew asked.
"I was drunk and sad" she shrugged.
"When are you not" he chuckled.
"Shut up" she laughed, punching his arm.
"So, is he a Remus or Jack?"
Gracie shrugged, "he's a Mark."
"You don't have to talk about him, Andrew just loves gossip" Spencer assured her.
"It's okay, I don't really talk about him to anyone."
"Don't you have friends?"
"Andrew!"
"What! I mean- I meant it in- not in a bad way!"
Gracie laughed, "I get it, it's fine. But... not really. I'm here on weekends, breaks, and holidays. It's kind of hard, you know?"
Spencer nodded.
"We're your friends now, so if you ever wanna talk or get shit faced you know who to call" Andrew said.
She laughed, "thanks. Can I help with the tree?"
Gracie didn't want to talk about it now.
"Yeah, of course."
