ELENA WAS SINGING IN canada tonight; elena was going on stage in ten hours. jude sighed as he looked at plane tickets - he had a game on tomorrow but he knew the boys would cover for him until he gets back. he bit his lip in thought, the next flight would be in two hours, and it was eight hours long - plus there was the whole getting to the airport process - he figured that he could be a good twelve hours.
this meant, though, that jude would get there just as elena's concert was ending. his thumb hovered over the book tickets now! button as he sighed, closing his eyes and quickly pressing it before sending a message to the boys group chat.
'guess who's off to canada tn'

AFTER A FEW MORE angry messages from the girls, and jude reluctantly letting trent tag along with him - who was visiting him in spain for the next couple of days - the two boys were on the plane and off to canada.
"what if she doesn't want to talk to me?" jude stressed, putting his face in his hands.
"jude. that ain't gonna happen, not when i'm your wingman. honest. i'm an expert at this shit," trent patted him on his shoulder yet it didn't make jude feel any better.
"last night i was completely fine with her and now i'm on a plane to go see her because i got told that she's mad at me... what am i doing?" jude widened his eyes in shock as the realisation of the situation finally deepened.
trent snorted. "being a simp- OW!" he shrieked as jude smacked him with a pillow. "i'm kidding! bro, you have some serious anger issues..."
"whatever," jude scoffed. he then gasped as an idea popped in his head. "trent, do you reckon they'll be any flower shops on the way to the arena?"
"probably... why?"
"i need to buy some pink roses."
trent awkwardly stared at jude, who was looking off and smiling into the distance as if he were in some emotional coming of age movie. he waved his hand in front of jude's face, but received no answer. "the fuck?"

"NO, TRENT. THE GIRLS here won't give you a free blowie."
jude already regretted bringing trent. after a long eight on the plane, they were now in the car jude booked for them - on their way to the arena elena was singing at. jude held the bouquet of pink roses securely in his hands, slapping trent's hand away when the scouser tried to grab one.
"worth the shot," he shrugged, causing jude to send him a look of disgust. it was quiet for a moment up until trent opened his mouth again and spoke in his squeaky ass voice. "realistically, what would you do if you gave elena these flowers and she threw them in your face and told you to fuck off?"
"...cheers for that, mate."

JUDE THANKED THE DRIVER and sprinted out the car, trent following behind him. he walked over to where the backstage area was and smiled at the sight of the woman he was looking for. "felicity!"
"jude?" elena's manager, felicity, questioned as she turned around. jude side-eyed trent once the man clocked onto the fact she was pregnant. "what are you doing here?"
"coming to see my girl," he cheekily shrugged, only to clear his throat as she raised her eyebrows up at him. "and apologise to her."
"good," felicity nodded, turning to them smile at trent. "and who's this?"
"he's irrelevant," jude waved his hand dismissively as trent's mouth fell open in shock. "do you know where i can wait until the shows over? i want to surprise her."
"her dressing rooms three doors to the right, only she's allowed in there so don't worry about anyone else coming in," felicity explained as jude nodded and rushed away once he realised elena was now singing her closing song. felicity folded her arms over her chest and watched as trent stood there, confused. "so, do you wanna come and help me instead of third-wheeling with jude and elena?"
"yes!"
jude laughed to himself as he watched trent and felicity wander off together. he rounded the last corner before coming to a door that read 'elena's dressing room, KEEP OUT!'
jude instantly entered, smiling to himself when he noticed one of his hoodies thrown on a chair. she must have worn it before the show, despite being mad at him. he placed the pink roses down on the dressing table, checking himself out in the mirror before letting out a sigh of relief.
he jumped as he heard the song finish, hearing his girl speak to the crowd for a few seconds before she would have finally walked off stage. he could hear the crowds screams from inside the room, and he couldn't help but smile at the face that she was so loved by everyone.
elena deserved the world and so much more, and jude still couldn't believe he was foolish enough to betray her trust. it was childish of him, so childish. he let the anger get the better of him and bragged about elena in ways that any girl should never be talked about.
he wouldn't be surprised if she slapped him in the face, because he knew he deserved it.
under a day ago they were fine, giggling as they did the things any other couple would do. but then, in the space of overnight, she was mad at him and in a whole other country. it was scary how quickly things could change, but jude was willing to fight for it. he was willing to fight for her, even if it meant getting his teammates to cover for him as he traveled eight hours away from his game the next day.
he looked up as he saw the door handle move and grabbed the bouquet. elena laughed at something someone said to her before she entered the room with a smile, turning to slam the door behind her before turning and making eye contact with jude.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" she screamed, holding a hand to her chest and closing her eyes as he looked at her in concern. "jude! you scared the shit out of me!"
"sorry," he apologised with a tight-lipped smile, watching as she walked closer.
she stopped in front of him and stubbornly folded her arms over her chest, softly biting the inside of her cheek. "what are you doing here?
"i came to apologise," he began.
she nodded. "go on, then."
jude let out a breath. "right, first of all i'm so sorry for talking about you like that. i- i didn't realise i'd done it until emily had a go at me this morning and then i remembered what i had said about you and how i was basically acting the same as tione in the conversation. i let my anger get the best of me and spoke about you in a way i never should have. i was acting like some immature, teenage, boy because i was angry he wants you back. which yeah, i can be angry about that. but i can't speak about you like i did. there's so much more to you than fucking sex. you... you make me smile every fucking day! lena, the girl i fell for is the girl who laughs at any joke i say. the girl i fell for is the one who's dimples make me happier than winning any silly trophy. the girl i fell for is the girl who will hands down fight anyone for the people she loves. trust me, the girl i fell for is the most talented girl i have ever met. her songs are amazing, she can write lyrics within the space of hours and puts all the effort into her career. she's one of the best actresses i've ever known, and truly deserves every award she's ever earned - and will win in the future. lena, i should never have spoke about you like i did last night. it was so hypocritical of me considering i was angry he spoke about you in the same way. you didn't deserve that, and i'll make sure it never happens again. i promise... oh, and please can you take these flowers out of my hands now because my arms starting to ache."
elena laughed lightly as she took the bouquet off of him. she bit her lip in thought for a moment before smiling and throwing her arms around him, feeling his hands instantly latch into her waist and pull her in closer. "oh jude, how can i stay mad at you when you've flown all the way to apologise to me?" elena said, placing a peck on his lips as he stared down at her with that look in his eyes. "don't let it happen again, though. i'm still mad i wasn't fully paying attention until i read through them this morning. you're lucky for that."
"i know, i know," jude nodded, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear.
she slapped his hand away. "stop, i'm sweating and i need to take a shower," she walked over to place the bouquet next to her luggage. "i think i've got like ten bouquets from you now, where am i gonna store all of them?"
"we'll find room," he said, coming over to wrap his arms around her waist from behind. "i promise i'll never talk about you like that ever again."
"i know you won't, i believe you," she smiled as she turned around in his arms. "honestly you just need to control yourself around tione, okay?"
"for you? i can do that," jude nodded his head as he grabbed ahold of her chin and brought her face up close to his. "now c'mere, i want another kiss," he laughed, grinning as she wrapped her arms around the back of his neck and smashed their lips together for a kiss that was anything but a peck.
god, the things he would do for his girl.
