Maanveer was working on his laptop and Aashi was continually switching her side as she isn't able to sleep. Maanveer was noticing everything but stayed silent
"See baby,now baba Don't have time for us. He knows that we can't sleep without cuddling him but still he is giving priority to his work" she mumbled and scrunched her nose
Maanveer tilted his head and saw watch,it shows eleven fifty five. He shut his laptop screen and put on table. He slipped himself in blanket and pulled aashi towards him. She turned and back faced him
"Jaana,I know you're up" he whispered In her ears covering her stomach
"Veer please let me sleep" she said in sleepy voice
"But I want to talk to my baby" he again whispered caressing her tummy
"No you go and do your work. Me and baby will talk to eachother " she taunted
"Hawww you''re sidelining baba" he said with fake horror
"No,baba has important work no,let him do" she said without looking at him
"Okay na,now I'm free" he said and kissed her cheek
"But I'm not" she said and remove his hands from her belly
Maanveer hovered her. Putting his elbows on bed he leaned down and placed a kiss on her nose. She moved her head other side
"Why my jaana is angry " he whispered
"I'm not,now leave I have to sleep" she said scrunching her nose, not being able to answer under his intense gaze
"This early " he asked
"It's twelve in night,it's not early " she said rolling her eyes
Maanveer leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her neck. Kissing her earlobe he whispered
"Happy birthday soon-to-be maasa" he wished her and her eyes went wide with smile on lips
"You remembered " she asked smiling
"How can I forget my precious day" he said and kissed her nose
"I thought you forgot " she said and pout
"I have never forgot your birthdays till now,how can I forget this time" he said and smiled
"Thank you so much soon-to-be baba" she said giggled
"Where's my return gift" he asked raising his eyebrow
"Return gift? Atleast give me a gift for return gift" she said matching his tone
"My gift is already in you tummy" he said
"Oo hello,isme humari bhi mehnat hai" she blunted out
Maanveer raised his eyebrow at her boldness
"Isn't my jaana is getting bold" he questioned. Aashi realized what she said and her eyes got widen
"No veer,I didn't mean to say that,it just came out" She started murmuring
"Stop jaana,now please give me my return gift" he started caressing her lips
"Okay,but where is my gift" she asked raising her one eyebrow
"Tomorrow, and I promise you'll love the gift" he said and smiled
"I know, hamare veer ka gift kamal hi hoga" she said pinching his nose
(I know my veer's gift would be amazing)
Maanveer leaned down, he first kissed end of her lips
"May i" he asked for a permission
"Yes" she said blushing
Maanveer too smiled and moved his lips towards her lips. But before their lips can meet,Aashi pushed him and ran towards bathroom. Opening bathroom door she puked in sink. Maanveer came and started rubbing her back
"Are you okay jaana" he asked and she again puked
"Jaana,are you okay" he again asked in worry
Aashi wiped her mouth and turned,Maanveer's worry was still the same
"Are you okay" he again asked. Aashi was irritated by his continue questions
"Can't you see veer that I'm puking very bad. How can you ask this question " she yelled in frustration with teary
"I'm I'm sorry I was just..leave it do you want to eat anything " he asked gently, still worried
"No" she said and pout. Looking at his tensed face she regretted yelling at him,putting her head on his head she covered his torso with her hands
"I'm sorry veer for yelling at you,I don't want to but I don't know what's happening with me" She said and tears started floating
Maanveer felt his shirt getting wet due to her tears. He gently pulled her back and lifted her up. Gently putting her down he sat beside her and wiped her tears and poured water on glass. He placed glass near her lips and gestured her to drink and she drank
"It's okay jaana,you wanted this mood swings to happen right " he joked placing glass back
"Noo veer,I wanted but not now it's getting very bad" she said with teary eyes
"It's okay my love. It's okay" he said and kissed her forehead
"You are not upset with me,are you? " she asked for assurance
"Can i" he asked and smiled "Now don't apologize, orelse me and our baby will get angry" he fake glares
"Okay but baby is on my side so he/she won't get angry" she said and show him tongue
"Is that so,let him/her come, we will be in one team and give you all the love" he said
Aashi felt overwhelmed with his this gesture. He never left any chance to make her feel special
"See,how lucky maasa and wife I am" she said and flipped her hairs
"Indeed " he chuckled
"Jaana,now sleep" he ordered and put blanket on her body. Adjusting himself on his side he took her in his embrace. Placing a soft kiss on her forehead he closed his eyes. Aashi smiled mischievously. Maanveer felt something soft on his lips. Opening his eyes he saw Aashi gave him pect. Aashi giggled and covered blanket on her face
"Jaana this is not fair,you always do this. Atleast tell me before kissing no so that I can also enjoy" he teased
"Haww don't you have shame veer,baby is listening you" she said,still under blanket
"And what about the kiss" he asked pulling down blanket but she hold it tighten
"But baby can't see no,that's why" she said and maanveer can imagine her pout
"Okay but now remove the blanket,I want to sleep seeing your face" he pleased
She pulled blanket to her nose, and tilted her head,maanveer made puppy face and she giggled
"Good night" she said and again went inside the blanket
"Good night" he said and cuddled her
"May my Aashi always smiles like this" he prayed silently. And slept thinking about aashi's gift
Sunrays fall on Maanveer's face and he opened his eyes. Not finding Aashi in rook he looked at watch and it Shows 7 in the morning. Removing blanket from his body he wore his sleepers and left to bathroom. After getting ready he went downstairs only to found whole Raghuvanshi family present at dinning table
"Aagye" Aashi said and everyone looked at him

Maanveer took steps towards them and touched evry elders feet. Sitting on his chair he gestured Aashi to sit beside him,Aashi being obedience wife sat and Evryone started their breakfast
Breakfast went in comfortable silence. Everyone stood aftet that. Mishka left to her room and came with kiaan and handed him to Aashi
"Happy birthday badimaa from your kiaan" she said in baby voice
"Thank you so much kiaan baby" Aashi said and kissed on his forehead
"Aashi,we are going temple as maasa has arranged pooja for you on your birthday,go and get ready" sharda informed and smiled
"Ji kakisa" Aashi said and handed kiaan to mishka
Reaching to their room Aashi made her way to her closet but maanveer pulled her back and pinned her to the wall. Putting his hands either sides of her head he covered her, Aashi playfully narrowed her eyes
"Now what" she asked blinking her eyes dramatically
"Happy birthday " maanveer said and kissed her cheek
"But you already wished"
"But I want to wish you every hour" he said matching her tone
"Aapka kuch nahi ho sakta veer" She said and shook her head

"Jo hona tha wo to ho gaya na" he said and rub his nose on her neck
"Accha now let me go,I have to get ready" she said pushing him little
"Aap kahe to Hum apko ready kar dete hai" he teased

"Ji nahi apka dhyanyawad" she said with tight smile

Maanveer rolled his eyes and made a way for her. She giggled and left. When she came back found hin sitting on bed with papers
"Veer,how's I'm looking" she asked and he tilted his head. Seeing her in red saree with bun hairs he got mesmerized. A wide smile made its way on his lips. His heart started beating fast
"Hayeee dil bandh na ho jaye jaana" he said and put his hands on his left side of chest

"Shut up veer,aise nahi kehte" she glared

Maanveer shook his head,standing up he secured her waist. She put her hands on his chest
"Go and get ready" Aashi ordered
"I'm sorry, but I can't come" he informed
"Why, any urgent meeting" she asked
"No,but very important work" he said and smiled
"What" she asked
"That you'll get to know soon" he said and kissed her forehead
"But Veer...." she was saying something and heard a knock
"Go" maanveer freed her. Aashi went to open the door and after opening the door she found a servant standing holding tray in her hand. Tray was covered with piece of clothe
"What is this" she asked in confusion
"Hukum said to give you" servant informed. Aashi looked at him and he nodded in assurance. She took tray in her hand and locked the door
"What is this veer" She asked placing a tray on table
"Open it" he ordered with gentle smile,folding his hands around his arms. Aashi after nodding remove the cloth from tray and found a beautiful saree. She smiled and moved her gaze towards him. He was curious to know her reaction. Aashi ran and jumped on him
"Thank you so much veer it's so beautiful " she thanked him hugging
Maanveer had a smile on his face now "most welcome jaana" he said and kissed her hairs
"I loved my gift" she said looking at him
"It isn't your gift love,it's a preparation for your gift" he said and winked
"Means" she narrowed her eyes in confusion
"That you get to know,now go Eveyone must be waiting for you" he said and she nodded
"Bye" she said kissing her cheek
"Bye" he replied and she left
"I hope you like my gift jaana" he mumbled
