⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ SEASON TWO: EPISODE FIVE PART ONE˚୨୧⋆。

CLEMENTINE DECIDED TO LOOK AROUND DOWNTOWN. The Katz girl, Clementine, confidently jogged along the path with her earbuds snugly in her ears. She sported her stylish jogging outfit, fully aware of the occasional unwanted attention from creeps. Though it made her uncomfortable, she chose to ignore it and focused on her run. As a Kanye West song unexpectedly played on her phone, she scrunched up her nose in disgust and quickly tried to change the song while maintaining her jogging pace. Lost in her music, she didn't notice the person in front of her and accidentally bumped into them.

She looked up, her lips parting in surprise, her eyes widening as she took in the sight of the boy clutching his leg. The raven-haired boy had fallen off his bike, and a frustrated expletive escaped his lips. Clementine hunched over, her concern evident as she swiftly removed one of her earbuds and extended her hand towards him. "Oh my, I'm so sorry," she apologized sincerely, her voice filled with genuine remorse.

However, the boy's glare remained fixed on her, his anger palpable. "You need to watch where you're going! You're lucky the pain went away, I would've sued you if I was actually hurt," he snarled, his words laced with bitterness and hostility. Despite his harsh words, Clementine maintained her composure, understanding his frustration. She took a step back, allowing him to push himself up, respecting his decision to ignore her hand.

Clementine placed her hands on her hips, her expression filled with genuine remorse. "I'm really sorry, I should've been more careful. Can I do anything to make it up to you?" she asked, raising her eyebrows in concern. The boy stared at her for a moment before his frown deepened.

"You know what, I'm sorry too. I've been having a rough day. I was actually on my way to the mall, and everything just...got to me," he confessed, his voice cracking with emotion. Sensing his vulnerability, Clementine reached out and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I may not know you, but I understand bad days. I forgive you," she reassured him, offering a kind and understanding smile.

Clementine felt a flutter of excitement as she noticed the boy's gaze intensify. "Wait, are you the girl Robby's been talking about? He actually showed me and Sam a picture of you. He's been going on and on about you," he said, blowing a playful raspberry and causing a blush to tint Clementine's cheeks. She couldn't help but giggle, trying to regain her composure. "Oh, really? That's so sweet," she responded, her voice filled with delight. "So, which friend of Robby's are you?" she asked, her curiosity piqued. The boy flashed a mischievous grin. "I'm Demetri," he declared, as if revealing a secret.

Demetri shifted his weight from foot to foot, a playful grin on his face. "Hey, I'm actually heading to the mall to meet up with Robby and Sam. Wanna join us?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. Clementine's face lit up with excitement. "Sure! Um...wait, I need to freshen up. What time are you meeting them?" she inquired, her voice filled with curiosity. Demetri glanced at his phone and replied, "We're meeting at 3pm. It's 2:05pm now. I just wanted to stop by the game store before catching up with them." Clementine nodded thoughtfully. "How about this...you come over to my place, and then I'll give you a ride to the mall so we can find them together," she suggested, a warm smile on her face.

Demetri agreed.

CLEMENTINE TOOK A QUICK SHOWER. Clementine locked herself in the bathroom, the sound of her heart pounding in her chest. She carefully applied her makeup, making sure every detail was perfect. With a final touch of lipgloss, she felt a surge of confidence as she stepped off the bathroom counter and unlocked the door.

As she walked past her brother's bedroom, the booming music confirmed her suspicion — he had snuck a girl over. Unable to resist the opportunity for some sibling mischief, Clementine pushed open the door, expecting to catch him off guard. But what she found left her in a fit of uncontrollable laughter. There he was, half-naked, entangled with a random girl, their lips locked in a passionate embrace. Tyler's eyes narrowed in a glare, but Clementine couldn't help herself. She laughed hysterically, reveling in the sheer absurdity of the situation.

Demetri's ears perked up at the commotion, curiosity getting the best of him. He hurriedly made his way over to Clementine's side, his eyes widening in disbelief as he took in the scene before him. "Oh my goodness, my eyes!" he exclaimed, feeling like he had stumbled upon something he shouldn't have seen. The sight of a girl standing there in nothing but her bra and underwear made him feel like he was invading their privacy. Without wasting a moment, he hastily retreated back to the safety of Clementine's bedroom, needing a moment to process what he had just witnessed.

Clementine, leaning casually against the door frame of Tyler's bedroom, crossed her arms and fixed her gaze on him. With a mischievous grin, she couldn't help but taunt him, "Well, well, well, look who we have here. Tyler Simon Katz caught in the act with a random girl. Did you find her on Bumble, or am I mistaken?" Her eyebrow raised in playful suspicion as Tyler hastily threw on his shirt, clearly flustered. Pointing his finger in her direction, he began to protest, "I swear to god—" but Clementine quickly hushed him, her attention now focused on the girl who was hurriedly trying to get dressed.

Turning her gaze towards the bewildered girl, Clementine couldn't help but address the situation, "I'm not sure how old you are, but you appear to be around 23. Just so you know, my brother here is only 17. He's still a minor." Her tone was firm yet protective, highlighting her concern for Tyler's well-being.

The unknown girl's mouth dropped open in shock, her eyes narrowing as she glared at Tyler. "Oh my god! You freaking told me you were 22!" she exclaimed, her frustration evident as she smacked his arm before storming out of his room. Clementine couldn't help but chuckle as she watched the random girl make her dramatic exit, leaving Tyler in a state of panic. He rushed after her, desperately calling out, "Katerina! Wait! Come back!" Standing at the front door, he held it wide open, hoping to catch her before she disappeared completely.

Tyler forcefully closed the front door, his eyes burning with anger as he locked his gaze on Clementine. "Why the fuck did you do that?" he shouted, his voice filled with frustration and confusion. Clementine nonchalantly shrugged, seemingly unaffected by his outburst. "Look, you're just hooking up with girls because you miss Sierra. But I don't want to witness you spiraling down that rabbit hole and becoming a fuck boy. You have to understand, Tyler, that she didn't want to do long distance, but she did promise to stay in contact."

Tyler let out a dismissive scoff. "She freaking blocked me, Clem. I checked out her best friend Lila's Instagram and saw a picture of her with some dude named Derek. She's already moved on," he said, his face filled with disappointment. Clementine raised an eyebrow, trying to reassure him. "Derek? That's their cousin," she explained. Tyler rolled his eyes in frustration. "Well, there was another guy in the picture!" he argued. Clementine let out an exasperated huff, rolling her eyes. "That's probably just Lila's new boy toy!" she said, trying to lighten the mood.

Tyler forcefully closed his bedroom door, his frustration evident in his actions. Clementine let out a groan, feeling exasperated as she ran a hand through her hair. Just then, Demetri cleared his throat, breaking the tension in the room. "Uh... It's 2:50... We probably should get going," he said awkwardly, sensing the need to change the subject. Clementine nodded, realizing the urgency. "Right, right... Sorry you had to witness that," she apologized, feeling a tinge of guilt.

Demetri let out a laugh, trying to lighten the mood. "It's fine. Finally, something entertaining that isn't about a karate war," he stated, causing Clementine to furrow her eyebrow in confusion. "Karate war?" she questioned, intrigued by the mention of such an unusual conflict.

He nodded in understanding as she let out a sigh of frustration. "You know, this has been such an odd Birthday, so far." she stated, her voice tinged with a mix of emotions. His eyes widened with surprise and excitement. "Wait a minute, it's your birthday!? Oh my god! Happy Birthday! How old are you now?" Demetri asked eagerly, his curiosity piqued. Clementine couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm. "I'm sixteen," she replied, feeling a sense of pride in reaching this milestone.

CLEMENTINE GIGGLED ALONG SIDE SAM. Robby proudly displayed his driver's license picture, and Sam couldn't help but laugh. "Oh-ho-ho! That sweet man bun though," Sam teased, finding the picture amusing. Clementine took the license from Sam's hands, joining in on the laughter. "I told you it was a horrible picture," Robby chuckled, acknowledging the less-than-flattering image. Looking up at him, Clementine playfully remarked, "You know, if I had known you back then, I probably would've snipped that bun off before you walked in the place."

Robby scrunched his nose, shrugging off the situation. "Yeah, well, I'm stuck with it for five years, so no biggie, right?" he stated nonchalantly. Clementine couldn't help but chuckle, her eyes fixated on his middle name. "Oh my god! Your middle name is Swayze? Robert Swayze Keene?" Her lips curled into a giant grin, unable to contain her amusement. Sam's mouth dropped open in shock, mirroring Clementine's surprise.

Robby chuckled, sharing the story behind his unique middle name. "My mom was a huge fan of Patrick Swayze. He was an actor in the 80s," he explained. Sam nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I've seen Dirty Dancing like a hundred times," she exclaimed. Clementine bit her lip, admitting her lack of exposure to the film. "I've never seen it. You guys have to show me," she suggested. Robby looked over at her with a playful expression. "Oh, don't worry. You're gonna have to deal with me anyways. I love old movies, you'll get used to it," he assured her with a grin.

Demetri cleared his throat, his eyes gleaming mischievously as he carefully placed a vinyl record on the table. Clementine's curiosity piqued, and she narrowed her eyes, trying to decipher what it could be. And then, she saw it. It was the Reputation album by Taylor Swift, her favorite artist. Her gasp of surprise filled the room as she pushed her chair back, unable to contain her excitement.

She stared at Demetri in awe, her eyes shining with gratitude. "No way! You didn't! How did you know I like Reputation!?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine surprise. Demetri couldn't help but grin, pointing a finger at Robby, who was standing nearby. "He talks about you and your likes," he revealed, playfully implicating Robby in the surprise.

Clementine squealed with joy, clutching the vinyl album tightly. "Oh my god! Taylor Swift is my wife!" she exclaimed, jumping up and down. Sam giggled in agreement, joining in on the excitement. "Love a fellow Swiftie," Sam chimed in, sharing the same admiration for Taylor Swift.

Clementine grinned, her enthusiasm evident. "Ugh, I could talk about her for hours," she confessed, holding onto the Reputation vinyl. Sam couldn't resist adding her own birthday wishes. "Also, Happy Birthday!" she exclaimed. Robby nodded in agreement. "Happy Birthday, Clementine," he added, joining in on the celebration.

Demetri's eyes widened with excitement. "Wait, is today Wednesday?" he asked, seeking confirmation from his friends. As they nodded in agreement, he couldn't contain his enthusiasm. He quickly jumped up from his chair. "The new issue of Dungeon Lord just came out! Do you guys want anything from the comic book store?" he eagerly inquired.

Robby politely declined, but Clementine, with her arms crossed, stood up and made a suggestion. "Why don't I come with you? Maybe you can tell me all about Doctor Who," she proposed, a playful smile spreading across her face. Demetri's grin widened. "Absolutely! I'd love to geek out with you about Doctor Who," he replied, thrilled to have a fellow fan by his side.

As they started to walk away, Demetri turned to Robby and Sam. "Okay, we'll be right back! Make sure no one throws away my chicken."

CLEMENTINE GOT SEPARATED FROM DEMETRI. Clementine's bladder was about to burst, so she hurriedly made her way to the bathroom. To her dismay, the line stretched out endlessly, making her groan in frustration. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she emerged from the restroom, only to be greeted by a bustling crowd of people.

Amongst the chaos, her eyes locked onto the familiar figures of Sam and Demetri. But it was Robby who caught her attention the most. He seemed captivated by a guy with a vibrant red mohawk, who was sprinting towards him with reckless abandon. Without a second thought, Clementine sprang into action.

With lightning-fast reflexes, she intercepted the airborne guy, executing a perfectly timed body slam that brought him crashing down to the ground. In that moment, Clementine's swift and heroic move saved Robby from any potential harm.

"Clementine," Demetri whispered, his voice filled with sorrow, as Clementine picked herself up from the ground. She joined Robby, Demetri, and Sam, their eyes fixed on the motionless figure of Eli. Confusion and concern flooded her mind as she blurted out, "What the heck went down while I was in the bathroom?" Demetri, struggling to hold back tears, responded with a heavy sigh, "My ex-best friend caused all of this."
