"WELL, WELL, WELL..." Arthur says with an entertained smile as Aurora walks up into the private room at her favorite restaurant with Aurélien trailing behind her. "I fucking knew it."
"You don't know shit." The youngest Leclerc replies before greeting her mother with a hug and taking a seat at the end of the table. Aurélien
quickly greets Pascale before sitting next to his best friend, or as of recently, his girlfriend.
"Maman, tell him to stop being annoying!" She huffs, pointing at Arthur as he smiled at her.
"I won't stop being annoying!"
Despite it being her birthday, the 2 youngest Leclerc's started to bicker. Pascale lets out a sigh as she leans over to pat Aurélien's shoulder. "Giant children, am I right?" She asks with a chuckle. Aurélien laughs in response, shaking his head as he watches Aurora lean over to flick Arthur.
"Anyways, Happy Birthday to me!" Aurora exclaims as she sits up straight, shooting a glare at her brother who laughs in response. Charles and Alexandra, who were sitting at the end of the table, look at her with amused smiles before saying 'Happy Birthday' to her.
Lorenzo shakes his head at his youngest brothers antics before also saying 'Happy Birthday' to his baby sister.
As the night and the dinner continued, everyone at the table noticed how different Aurora and Aurélien were acting. They didn't need to see to know how he had his hand on her leg in a loving way. The hushed whispers and their laughter was enough for them to know that their friendship turned into something else.
Charles noticed the way Aurora would glance at Aurélien throughout dinner and vice versa. The look in her eye was the same look in his parents eyes he saw while growing up. It was the same look he had when looking at his girlfriend.
Even Arthur and Lorenzo noticed the wide lovestruck smiles they sent each other. A smile they shared that said so many things without saying anything.
The 3 Leclerc brothers shared knowing look. Charles, the most protective of the 3, lets out a sigh in defeat. "He loves her and she loves him." He whispers to them.
Arthur who was the annoyingly protective one, nods in response. The eldest Leclerc, Lorenzo, rolls his eyes as he lets out a sigh. "I told you guys."
"Yeah but-"
"We thought-"
Both Arthur and Charles stuttered as Lorenzo shakes his head. "You guys are too protective."
Before either could reply, the waiter followed by other staff members, walked into the private room with a pink heart shaped cake in hand. A small white candle sat in the middle as they brought it over to the birthday girl.
Aurélien immediately pulled out his phone to record with a wide smile adoring his face. The ones closest to Aurora began to sing 'Happy Birthday' but she kept her eyes on her boyfriend.
The song came to an end and she felt like her heart could burst with happiness.
"Ange," Aurélien's soft voice got her out of the small bubble she was in, "Make a wish and blow out the candles."
Aurora didn't feel a need to make a wish. She was already surrounded by her family. Her best friend was finally her boyfriend. Life for her was good and she wouldn't want to change it.
But nonetheless, she made a wish and blew the candles. The table erupted into cheers and claps as the servers took the cake to slice it up.
"What'd you wish for?" Arthur curiously asks her.
Aurora glances at Aurélien before looking back at her brother. "I can't tell you or it will never come true."
"Okay, gossip girl."
"Oh, shut up, Arthur!"
