You found yourself outside the palace like Seokjin said to you. You make your way around the back side of the palace.
As soon as you reach there you see a path leading down which is decorated with fairy lights.
Gaping at the beautiful site you make your way there. You stand in front of path. There was a board hanging on the plant.
" If you are Y/N then please follow the fairy lights and if you are not then go away from here." You read the board and chuckled.
You follow the fairy lights. your heart was beating fast. You felt like your a heroine of those romantic stories, where hero decorate everything for heroine.
Slowly making your way ahead, admiring the fairy lights. You reach a tree which was decorated with lamps and lights.
There was a heart made with candles on the ground. You carefully made you way inside the heart making sure to not burnt your gown. As soon you stand in middle of heart, rose petals stats falling from above on you.
With a smile you move you hand forward catching petals in your hands. As you were busy catching the rose petals a fimilar voice cautch your attention.
" Y/n " a soft voice spoke.
You turn around and see boys standing there with smile. You walk out of that candle heart and stand in front of them.
"Why did you guys do all these decorations?? " You questions looking around.
The boys shook thier head as Namjoon came forward and grab your hand.
" We want to confess something, so please listen to us." Namjoon said. He took a deep breath collecting his courage as he continued. "You know Y/n I'm usually very clumsy, i always broke thing accidentally. but for you i wanted to be that guy who never break your heart. I wanted to be that person who made your heart flutter, just like you made mine" His eyes fix on you which show so many emotions love, affection and truth.
Saying this Namjoon move aside and seokjin came forward. " Y/n. When I look at you for the first time, you were sitting alone looking mysterious. That time I decided that I wanted to know you, but after spending time with you I feel i didn't just wanted to know you but be with you.... for the rest of my life. " He said smiling softly at you frozen figure. Before giving a way for hoseok to came ahead.
Hoseok gave you his sunshine smile which look somehow nervous. "Y/N When you joined the dance class, you became the dance partner I always wanted.Now I am looking for my life partner and I want that to be you. will you be?? " Hoseok asked while his face show little bit fear. Fear of getting rejected.
"Do you remember that day on the date you said that there are only a few things in a person's life that he can choose as per his own will? And one of them is a life partner. I think I have choosen Y/N, it's you. It's you who I want to spend my life with." Yoongi says looking at you with loving eyes.
Jimin comes to you gently caresses your cheeks " I don't know when I fell for you. Maybe the first time when my heart started beating faster after seeing you Or maybe that time, when only one smile of your brightened my whole day. Whenever I fell in love, it doesn't matter to me, what matters is that I fell in love with you. " Jimin whispers, loud enough for you to hear.
Taehyung comes forward and stands next to jimin. " That day in the greenhouse when you were straightening that bent flower with the help of the wood. You looked very sad, I don't know why but seeing you like that, I felt a prick in my heart. Looking at you it seemed that you needed support. And I am ready to support you throughout my life. I am not saying that I will not let any sorrow come your way, but I promise you that if any sorrow comes to you, I will be with you. " Taehyung says while eyes sparkling with affection.
" Y/n " someone call you. You moved your eyes from taehyung to jungkook who was looking nervous.
" I-I never lose, But it was my good fortune to lose to you in basketball that day. You know I hate losing, but if you are my opponent, I am happy to lose everything. Well I already have lose my heart to you so I don't think now other things matters. " Jungkook chuckled nervously trying to ease his nervousness.
You just stand there, not knowing what to say. You put your hand on your heart to know what you are feeling at this moment. happiness? Sadness? Confusion? Overwhelmet? Numbness? you don't know. You have always loved boys then what is it that is not allowing you to be happy right now.
Maybe that promise you made with Chae-Won? Or your past? Or maybe the fact that you've become used to not being loved.
You don't know, you just know that you need some time. From the boys, from chae-won and also from you thoughts.
As boys get on their knees with roses to propose you. Your vision starts becoming blurry. Memories of the past start appearing before your eyes
Flashback
" I love you." You say you got down on your knees with roses in front of boys. Boys look at you with cold eyes and Yoongi takes your roses and throws them away.
" You really think we'd love a Selfish girl like you who doesn't care about anyone else but own self? " Jimin says the disgust is clearly visible in his eyes. Your heart breaks into pieces after hearing this.
You look at them with teary eyes and Taehyung chuckles. " You think we'll melt with these crocodile tears of yours?" He scoffs. You lower your head in shame as students start gathering.
" You know what show this drama to someone else who doesn't know your truth." hoseok says.
Suddenly namjoon calls " Chae-won!! Come here." You hear light footsteps and look up.
" Yes Namjoon. " Chae-won timidly said. Namjoon takes chae-won's hand and brings her in front of you. " This is the girl we love and you can never take chae-won's place, understood?" Namjoon says with authority looking at you.
You just sit there as Jungkook crushes your roses.
You feel yourself getting panic attack as your heart hurting intensely. You take a deep breath and take two, three steps back.
Boys stand up from their knees, seeing you retreating.
" Y/N. Is something wrong? " Seokjin asks. He was worried seeing tears in your eyes.
You shake your head. " I'm - I'm sorry. " You whisper and hurriedly runs away.
Boys keep looking at your running figure as you disappeared. They don't know what your sorry meant.
Sorry because you need some time
or sorry because you don't love them.
Thinking about the latter their hearts shatter. They looks at the roses in their hands and then looks at the place where you ran.
You run and run, don't know where. but wherever your feet take you. You come to the roof and stop and sit down on the concrete ground with thump.
Catching your breath. You tried to calm yourself down. You wipe the tears that were flowing like a waterfall.
You pull your hair out in frustration. Screaming at your thoughts of past, you blamed yourself. You thought that perhaps moving on from the past would be a relief, but old bitterness has left you with such deep wounds in your heart that you are unable to forget it even if you want to.
You just sat there in the freezing cold, don't know for how long. Suddenly your phone beeps, you check your phone and see texts from Minho. You're about to open Minho's text when you get a text from an unknown number. You open the text out of curiosity
" Y/N help me!! I am locked in the 2rd floor's store room."
