REIVEN'S POV**
"Asim ng mukha mo dyan, anyare sayo tanga?" natatawang tanong ni Vien na kakarating lang din.
She's my best friend. We met during our 2nd year sa highschool.
Currently, we both work as dance choreographers. We mostly do everything together, except sa fact na may jowa sya while ako wala.
We're pretty close pero mas close talaga kami ni West.
"Wala, leave me alone."
"Ganyan ba pag walang lovelife," biro nito dahilan para batuhin ko sya ng water bottle na nasalo nya lang din naman.
"Why are you here ba? Asan bf mo?," tanong ko nang napansin na wala syang kasama ngayon.
"He's busy. Away on a business trip, baka mga next week pa balik nya. I miss hi-"
Before she could finish, pinasakan ko na ng tinapay bunganga nya.
She just rolled her eyes bago tahimik na kinain yung sinubo ko sakanya.
Kakatapos lang namin mag train sa mga bagong recruit ng studio.
Mamaya maya naman ay diretso na ako sa modelling agency since may shooting din ako.
Im a pretty busy person and halos gabi't umaga mo lang ako makikita sa bahay.
Si West lang talaga madalas na nasa bahay, well of course unless pag kasama nya boyfriend nya.
"Girl, yung totoo. Para kang tanga dyan, ano ba nangyari sayo?" Vien asked nang makain na yung pinasak ko sakanya.
"Wala, i don't know. Im just upset."
"Nag away nanaman ba kayo ni 'friend' mo," she said, emphasizing the word 'Friend'.
"Cut it off. No, di naman related sakanya," depensa ko naman dahilan para pagtaasan ako nito ng kilay.
"Maniniwala ako kung di kita kilala eh. Halos kay West nalang nga umiikot emotions mo eh."
"Okay, ano meaning mo dyan?"
"I mean, even anong talak sayo rito sa studio, di ka naman affected. You're basically so cool headed sa mga bagay bagay. But pag si West na ang usapan, ang bilis magbago ng mood mo. Pag magkaaway kayo, buong araw na nyan bad mood."
"That doesn't make sense," i replied bago tumayo para kunin ang mga gamit ko sa locker room.
"It does kaya. Or perhaps, sa boyfr-"
"Shut the fuck up," madiin kong tugon bago pa sya makatapos.
She then bursted out laughing as if tama nanaman hula nya.
She then linked her arms with me as we walk out of the building.
"Rei, alam mo honestly, hindi ko rin alam bakit ayaw mo sa bf ni West. He seems kind naman."
"I don't remember having the need to care."
"Bestie kita. I'd agree with everything you say, but unreasonable kasi yung hate mo towards Art. Kahit ikaw na nagsabi, di mo rin alam bakit ayaw mo sakanya eh. Baka nagseselo-"
"One more foul word, kita mo 'tong kamao ko? later nasa lalamunan mo na to," i said holding up my fist.
Sinamaan naman ako nito ng tingin pero di na rin sya umangal.
Yes, I admit the fact na wala naman talaga pinagkakapitan yung hate ko towards that guy.
I just follow my instincts and enough na yun para mainis ako sakanya.
"Pupunta ka ba studio?"
"Yeah."
"Sama, ang boring kasi," tugon ni Vien na ngayon ay nakabuntot parin sakin papuntang parking lot.
Pinabayaan ko nalang since I do need a bit of company today.
Di parin ako nahihimasmasan sa biglang pag eksena nung unggoy na yun.
Probably why I'm in a sour mood since morning.
This is not the first time naman na sumama sa shootings ko si Vien. She usually comes along pag walang magawa, or wala boyfriend nya.
"Feel ko talaga selos yung pinaghuhugutan mo eh. Kasi di ka naman ganyan samin ni Jeims," she said. Referring to her boyfriend.
"I don't know, i don't care. I hate him."
Nang masigurado na okay na kami, I drove to the studio na.
While stuck sa traffic light, I spotted a familiar figure so I peaked a bit to confirm.
Abala ako sumilip nang bigla naman nagsalita si Vien causing me to be taken back.
"Huy! Sila West yun diba!?"
"What the fuck, Vien! Wag ka nga manggulat!"
"Ay! Sorry sorry, pero sila yun diba?"
I just nodded as I watch her walking by the central plaza. Di ko makita yung pangit na nilalang, so I guessed friends nya lang kasama nya.
"Babain kaya natin tapos ayain natin lunch!" suggest ni Vien.
I pushed her face away kasi masyado malapit.
"No, late na ako, umayos ka na dyan papababain talaga kita."
"Hmp!"
Somehow gumanda timpla ko nang malaman na di sila magkasama.
Do I sound selfish? I don't care.
I feel more at ease pag alam kong di sila magkasama.
Nang mapansin ni Vien na nakangiti ako bigla naman ito natawa.
"See, kay West nag re-revolve emotions mo. Nakita mo lang sya nakangiti ka nanaman," pang aasar nito.
I just laughed at her and continued driving.
Masyado na ba obvious?
When we arrived sa studio, as expected, galit na galit nanaman si manager vic.
Tuloy tuloy lang talak nya while tailing me to the locker room habang inaayos ko mga gamit ko.
"Goodness, Reiven! Kailan ka ba magiging on time? I swear, tapos na lahat ng ibang models kanina and you're the only one who wasn't present!" dirediretsong saad ni manager.
I just sighed before turning to him before showing my sweetest smile.
"Im sorry. Traffic and nag extend kami sa dance studio earlier."
"Hay nako! Dinadaan mo nanaman ako sa ngiti mo, Reiven."
"Is it working?"
"Oo, dalian mo na!" inis nitong singhal bago naglakad paalis.
I just shaked my head while laughing.
My smile always gets me away from my troubles. Ewan lang bakit di umuubra kay West.
I mean, it does kind of affect her in some way pero it doesn't help me get away pag galit sya or what.
2 hours flew by pretty quickly. Kakatapos lang ng shooting ko for one magazine. May tatlo pa, im already so exhausted so nagmaakaawa ako na bukas nalang.
Luckily, malakas kapit ko sa director namin and she let me off almost immediately.
Pauwi na sana ako but while driving, my phone rang.
I was hesitant pa nga to pick it up cause I guessed si Vien lang or si Danielle na maghahatid ng chismis.
After like 3 missed calls, the 4th time it rang, I decided to just pick it up and see who the caller was.
West is calling you...
Nangunot naman noo ko when I read her name on the screen.
It's already 10 pm, I can't think of any possible reason for her to call at this hour.
I had no choice but to pick it up since di naman sya tumatawag unless it's something important.
Or sometimes, she calls para awayin ako.
Mostly because may kasalanan ako sakanya or I did some stupid things.
"Yo."
"How dry," she answered.
I can see how she rolled her eyes behind the phone.
"What do you want? Im driving," paliwanag ko naman.
She took a long deep breathe.
Dun palang, I know related nanaman yung mabantot nyang boyfriend.
"West, I ain't gonna be included if related dyan boyfriend mo," I said straightforward.
"Chill, chill."
"Then what's with the sigh? You only do that pag related sakanya somehow."
"Yeah it is, but wala sya rito. Where are you right now?"
I took a peak outside the window to see asan na ako banda since naka park din ako sa gilid.
It's dangerous to answer calls while driving.
"Metro High, why?"
"Can you pick me up?"
"Where's your man?"
"Not the time to ask, the question is, masusundo mo ba ako?"
"Depends kung asan ka."
It's already so late, I'm not up for more driving. Gusto ko na rin kasi umuwi.
"Xylo."
"The heck you doing there?"
"Well, I'll explain later, sunduin mo na muna ako."
I just sighed.
Seems like wala rin naman ako choice but to go pick her up since gabi na and bihira na makahanap ng masasakyan.
The thing is, West knows how to drive pero minsan di nya dinadala kotse nya.
Hatid sundo naman kasi sya ng boyfriend nya.
After hanging up, I started driving papunta sakanya.
Nang makarating ako, I found her sitting by the curb.
I got out of the car then sat beside her.
It's rare to see her drunk. I wonder what happened.
"West? Let's go," tugon ko habang tinatapik balikat nya.
Took a little while bago sya mag respond.
She looked up to me with her drunken eyes before she formed a little smile.
Di na sya umimik, I helped her get up on her foot and led her back to the car.
I was busy fixing her seatbelt when she grabbed me by my shirt collar and leaned in before kissing me deeply.
I was lost for words. I was set back, although di naman talaga ito ang first time na she kissed me.
You can say it happened a lot of times before already.
Maya maya ay inilayo nya na mukha nya then laid back.
"You're drunk, let's go home," I answered trying my best not to make my voice crack dahil sa gulat.
"I hate him, Rei."
"Who?"
"That, dumb.. guy," tugon nito habang nag tuturo turo pa sa hangin.
I laughed a little before holding her hands.
"He's your boyfriend."
"Not like i wanted it," singhal naman nito as followed by hiccups at the end.
She looked at me then grabbed my face by her hand.
"You taste a lot better than him," she said softly as she brush her thumb against my lips.
Ilang beses ako napalunok as I felt the heat inside me increase.
My heart is also beating rapidly.
"Please don't do this, nasa kotse tayo," i begged in a low voice when her hands started touching me in places.
"You're my friend right? then help me get this heavy thing in my heart out."
"What do you mean?"
She just looked me in the eye before pulling me in for another deep kiss.
I know lasing lang sya kaya nya to ginagawa, but theres something inside me telling na I should just go with the flow.
At one point, I couldn't hold back anymore.
I just realized may nangyayari na samin.
