ELENA LOVED PREFORMING MORE than she loved herself, and that was a lot. she had just finished singing escapism as the crowd went wild, chanting her name. she still couldn't believe how far she had come in the music industry with only three years, creating a pathway with no help from her father. it felt nice to be known as "elena hamilton" and not "lewis hamimton's daughter", almost like she now had her own identity.
elena has had a tradition for her past two tours. she would have her management team wander through the crowd and find people to ask her a question half way into the show. she mainly came up with this to give her a five minute breather, but also to connect with her fans - something which she always loved doing.
"i can't lie that song is so tiring to sing," elena said, her chest rapidly moving up and down whilst she wandered across the stage. "felicity? have you got any questions yet?" she asked, hearing the crowds cheers increase once they realised what part of the show it was.
"i think we've got one right here," felicity said, the cameras panning to a young girl in the stands as elena gasped into her mic.
"should she be here?" elena asked, causing many people to laugh. some of elena's songs were age appropriate, but some were not. and the song in which she had just finished preforming was most certainly not.
"are you dating jude bellingham?"

elena chewed on the inside of her mouth as her eyes widened. she instantly heard everyone in the arena scream louder than they was before, chanting elena and jude's names over and over again.
"no, i'm not," elena spoke into the mic with a laugh, hearing someone scream LIAR! as everyone around them laughed. "we're just friends!"
"but your his celebrity crush!" the girl continued, and elena took notice of how many people down near her pulled out their phones.
"i'm a lot of people's celebrity crush, that doesn't mean i'm dating everyone though, does it?" she quickly replied, flashing the crowd as smirk as everyone cheered for her.
"what about lando norris? are you dating him?" the young girl then added, still holding the microphone handed to her. everyone in the arena made an ooing noise and laughed as they turned and pointed their cameras towards an awkward elena.
"isn't it past your bedtime?"
the crowd screamed and laughed for elena as the mother rolled her eyes, snatching the microphone off her daughter and giving it back to a laughing felicity before it was passed to another fan.
"what are your opinions on lil tjay coming out and saying he's working on writing a song about you?" the next person handed the microphone asked, seeming to look like a teenage girl.
elena frowned as she felt her heart rate start to ever so slightly increase. most of the questions asked in the past had been about her music, that's what she mainly did this for. and so she couldn't help but be severely annoyed some people were taking this as their chance to abuse their privilege of even getting to speak to her in the first place and use their questions for issues that didn't concern them.
"he can do what he wants. i don't give a shit and neither should you," elena bit back, keeping the smile on her face. the crowd cheered once more; felicity handed the microphone to the next fan.
"are you working on your next album? if so, what's the theme going to be?" a teenage boy asked next, causing elena to smile at him.
"thank you for asking me a respectful question, i appreciate it," elena grinned at him as he smiled back. "and a new album is currently in the works, hopefully it should be done in two months-" she paused as everyone started to cheer. "and for the theme... think of taylor swift. but lover," she sent everyone a smile, hearing all of the screaming starting to increase. "okay, final question."
"who was the boy in your big boy music video?"
"she's asking the real questions!" a girl holding up her phone said, everyone yelling out in agreement with the fan.
elena bit her lip and laughed to herself awkwardly. she didn't really know how to answer this without making it too obvious. so she opted for the best thing: leaving her fans jelena crumbs.
"one of my besties," she answered, a few people in the crowd mumbling their confusion. "but that's all your getting," she giggled. "no more questions! it's time for more songs!"
thankfully, social media seemed to have someone smart on it, and that smart person cut the clip of jobe saying elena and jude were just besties right before elena said the boy in her big boy video was one of her besties. this furthermore reached up to two million likes, and elena's little crumb had just turned into a three course meal.

ELENA DIDN'T NEED TO be told twice. she instantly face-timed him and hid her face ever so slightly because she had literally no makeup on and had just finished singing for almost two hours straight. in other words: she looked like a walking zombie.
"hey," jude said as soon as he picked up, smiling at the camera but then frowning once he saw he was only seeing half of her face. "you better show me your full face right now."
"jude! i look like shit!"
"bet you don't," he scoffed lightly. elena moved her camera so that he could now see her face as a smile cast upon his lips. "see, i was right."
"whatever," she jokingly rolled her eyes.
the 'couple' (they weren't actually a couple yet, jude just had to get his fucking act together and ask her out before another boy gets in the way) then found themselves engaging into many different topics for the next hour or so. it was mainly just her bullying him whilst he let her, because joke or not he could never find himself wanting to be mean to her. but elena also told him about the fan asking if she was dating him, which made them both laugh.
"i've already seen that video on tiktok, and the one about the lando question," jude giggled.
"of course you have," elena huffed with a joking roll of her eyes. she was then quiet for a moment before something suddenly popped in her mind. "oh wait! i forgot to tell you that apparently tione is writing a song about me," she said.
jude froze. "what?"
"i know! some fan asked me my opinion on it and i was just like i don't care, but now i'm thinking about it and i'm like what the fuck? why is he writing a song about me?" she ranted, not realising how angry jude had suddenly become on the other end. "i swear down if it's anything like the kanye and taylor situation i ain't going into hiding for years, i'm hitting him right back and entering my reputation era before he can slap me again."
"don't joke about that," jude scolded with a frown, shaking his head in disbelief.
"sorry.. he's wrote a song about me before, when i finally broke up with him. he was just saying how he'll let me go but if he ever sees me with another man he's coming back. whatever that means. like i wanna know what this new one's gonna be about," elena said as she sighed, her obliviousness being noticeable to jude as he winded his eyes.
"wait, wait, wait. pause," jude said. "he said in the last song if you're ever seen with another man he's coming back?"
she nodded. "yeah, that's what i just said."
"lena, i'm gonna need you to use your brain for a minute. just sit there and think, okay?"
elena went silent for a moment before realisation dawned upon her, she gasped loudly and grabbed her phone, instantly texting the girls group chat.
"guessing you understood?" he teased, but his tone was anything but lighthearted. he was starting at his wall, his tongue grinding against the insides of his mouth as thoughts spiralled through his head.
"shut up, no, no, no. the songs gonna be about me and you. fucks sake, man. i can't be arsed with this drama. fuck," elena cursed, dropping her face into her hands and huffing.
"take a deep breath for me, lena," he said, knowing she was about to start panicking. "cmon i know you can do it."
elena sighed and let out a breath, lifting her face to smile at him as he smiled back. she knew that jude was angry, she was herself. but she appreciated the fact he could disguise his frustration to help her out when she needed it and not take it out on her like all of her exes have done in the past.
"you know, i really appreciate you," she admitted, playing around with the strings of her jumper and refusing to meet his eyes. "we've been talking for three months now, and they've honestly been the best three months ever. so thank you, for it all."
jude stared at her as he felt his heart rate increase, the butterflies in his stomach dancing circles as he cleared his throat. he sat up straight, rubbing his hands together and smiling shyly. "when are you next free to come to madrid?"
elena frowned. "i'll be in madrid next week for four days. i've got two shows there. why?"
"i'm taking you out, and not for food. we're going somewhere else," he said to her, and when he saw her confused glance he laughed. "gotta show my appreciation for you somehow, yeah?"
"yeah," she smiled.
"good. now that thags our the way, tell me more about your next album again!"
and so she did. they talked for the next three hours about everything and anything. it was strange to be honest, how quick they had bonded - they were the exact opposites when it came to love. each having their own problems: jude's being that he falls too quickly, and elena's being that she gets bored very easily. two things that do not mix, were somehow making it work out.
jude couldn't hide the butterflies, he couldn't hide the stares he cast at her when she wasn't looking. it was all new to him. but he knew, deep down, elena was the one. she was the girl he wanted to wake up smiling to everyday; she was the girl he wanted to protect for the rest of his life.
as jude watched her fall asleep on call, smiling at the sight of her, there was only one question he had that night to ask the boys group-chat.
