After the incident with the storm, the crew ignored the eternal pose and followed the log pose to find another island.
A day has passed, and the crew is now in a calm yet snowy weather.
Zoro is currently at the crow's nest, looking around for an island.
Luffy: Hey Zoro! Have you seen any doctors yet?!
Usopp: You can't be serious
After a few moments, Zoro spotted something strange.
Zoro: Hey guys! What do you think about people standing on water?
Luffy: What, do I think it's possible?
Rimuru: That's an odd question
Usopp: That's impossible
Zoro: Oh yeah? Then what's that?
Rimuru: Huh?
Luffy: What's what?
Usopp: Say what?
Rimuru, Luffy, and Usopp looked at the direction Zoro pointed at and saw a man standing on water.
Confused about what they're seeing, Rimuru, Luffy, and Usopp rubbed their eye and looked again.
???: hello. It sure is chilly today!
Luffy: Yeah, it is chilly today
Usopp: Definitely, it is chilly. In fact, I'd say it's freezing
Rimuru: Well, it is snowing
???: really?
Suddenly, something massive emerged from below the mysterious person.
Luffy: WHAT IS THAT THING?! A WATERMELON!?
Rimuru: A seaking?!
After the waves died down, it was revealed to be a massive structure.
Zoro: What the hell is that!? Is it a ship?
The structure opened and reveals to be a massive pirate ship.
Usopp: OH CRAP! IT'S A PIRATE SHIP
A horde of men stood on the deck of the enemy ship and a rotund man standing infront of the crowd.
Rimuru: EVERYONE GET READY FOR A FIGHT!
Zoro/Luffy: Right!
The round man boarded the going merry along with some of his men and surrounded the crew.
???: Mahahahaha. What's the matter? Don't tell me our underwater raid ship "the tin tyrant" surprised you? Mahahahaha
Sanji barged out of the ship.
Sanji: Hey! What's going on?
After seeing strangers, Sanji calmed down and started smoking.
Sanji: So, what's going on?
Luffy: Well, we're under attack, and it's still snowing
Sanji: The guns pointing at my face kinda gave it away. What next?
???: *munching* You all consider yourselves a band of pirates? How amusing. I only could five of you
The man bit the knife he was holding and started eating it.
Everyone but Rimuru was shocked that the guy ate a knife.
???: it's sor of strange. That your group has so few members
Rimuru: So what if our group is small
The man ate the rest of the knife and then started ogling Rimuru.
Luffy: That's just weird. This guy can eat stuff like Rimuru
Usopp: ACK! My gums are bleeding just by watching!
The man then glances at everyone.
???: Alright, I'll keep this simple. See, my men and I wish to travel to drum kingdom. You wouldn't happen to have an eternal pose or a log pose, would ya?
Sanji: Sorry we can't help you. I never even heard of this drum kingdom
Rimuru: If that's all you guys wanted, then leave already
Luffy: Yeah, we are in a hurry, and we don't have time to deal with all this
???: You'll never enjoy life if you're always in a rush. And speaking of enjoying life...
The man glanced at Rimuru with a lustful look.
Wapol: ...my name is wapol, and why don't you come with me and be my bride?
Rimuru gave wapol a look of disgust.
Rimuru: with a hippo like you? No way
Wapol: Now, don't be like that. Okay, now I'm starting to get hungry
Wapol bit the going merry.
He then ripped off a massive piece and began eating.
Usopp: HE'S A SHIP EATING MONSTER!
Rimuru/Luffy: HEY! OUR SHIP ISN'T YOUR LUNCH!
Guns pointed at Luffy and Rimuru.
Soldier 1: Be quiet! Wapol doesn't like to be disturbed while he's eating
Luffy and Rimuru knocked out some soldiers, and a fight had begone.
Rimuru leaped torwards wapol's ship.
Rimuru: You eat our ship, then I'll eat yours!
Guns pointed at Rimuru.
Soldier 2: halt! What do you think you're doing on our ship
??? 1: Fool, do you have a death wish?!
Rimuru: No. Payback
Rimuru turned into a slime and grew massive, enveloping the figurehead of the ship and the deck and started dissolving wapol's ship.
Soldiers: S-SHE'S A SHIP EATING MONSTER!!
Every soldier tried shooting and stabbing, but all the bullets and blades are being dissolved.
Back at the going merry.
Rimuru left to deal with wapol's crew as everyone else is beating up the ones that boarded their ship.
Wapol is ignoring everything around him.
Luffy: *angry* YOU'RE STILL EATING?!!
Ship soldier: sir Wapol! There's a ship eating monster on our ship!
Wapol: eh?
Confused on the report about something other than him eating a ship, Wapol looked at his ship and saw that it was being dissolved by a slime.
Wapol: WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!? IT'S EATING MY SHIP!!
Luffy: HEY, YOU!! LEAVE!!
Wapol glanced at Luffy and was surprised that both of his arms are stretched.
Luffy: GUM-GUM BAZOOKA!!
Wapol: GYAAAAAAHHH!!
Wapol was sent flying faw away, leaving wapol's crew shocked.
Rimuru: Looks like it's over
Rimuru reforms and lands back on the merry.
??? 2: *panic* This is bad! he sent Wapol flying to the ocean!
??? 1: *panic* bad!? It's worse! It's a disaster! Wapol can't swim he's gonna drown!
??? 2: recall the troops. There's no time to waste! We have to rescue him before he sinks to the bottom!
All of the soldier's on the going merry went back to their ship.
??? 2: THIS IS FAR FROM OVER! YOU'LL PAY! I PROMISE YOU'LL PAY!
??? 1: YOU'RE DEAD! YOU GOT THAT!
Rimuru: *taunt* Are you just gonna keep talking and let your boss sink?
Wapol's pirate crew then hurried to Wapol's direction.
??? 1: WE'LL GET YOU FOR THIS!!
After wapol's pirate crew is gone, the crew began sailing to their next destination.
Usopp: wow crazy. Those guys are really upset
Rimuru: they're upset? They started it by eating our ship
Usopp: What do they call that old garbage can again? Wapol?
Sanji: Who cares about what his name was. Don't worry about it. The guy is obviously a moron it's best to just forget about it
Vivi: *quietly* I know him, but from where?
Rimuru: What was that Vivi?
After more time sailing and reparing the going merry, the crew eventually see an island.
Luffy: It's a snow island!
Sanji: Luffy wait. Just so there's no misunderstanding between us. We're stopping to find Nami a doctor. We're not here to have an adventure. Are we clear?
Luffy: I love snow. It's so white
Sanji: It's no use. He's gone
Usopp: *trembling* H-hold on! A-are you sure it's a good idea? There could be snow monsters. Besides, we don't even know if there's people there or not... oh no, I think I'm getting a "don't -go-to-the-island disease"
Rimuru: No use dweling on it now Sanji
Sanji: Guess you're right
As they are getting close to the island, the crew except luffy put on winter clothes.
[Note: Rimuru will be wearing this during this part of the story]
The crew sailed upstream, hoping to stumble upon a town.
Usopp: Hey Luffy, aren't you cold dressed like that?
Vivi: it's ten degrees below freezing out here. That's when bears get ready to hibernate
Luffy: Hmm?... *shivering* cold!
Sanji/Usopp: *irritated* YOU JUST FIGURED THAT OUT!?
Luffy latched on to Rimuru.
Luffy: Rimuru, it's cold
Rimuru: *sigh* fine
Rimuru turned into a slime and grew big.
Rimuru's inside started bubbling.
Luffy: aahhhhhhhh. Nice and warm
Rimuru began carrying Luffy inside the ship.
Rimuru: Next time. Get a coat
After getting Luffy a warm coat, the ship stopped at what seemed to be a dead end.
Vivi: This may provide a good spot to disembark
Zoro: Okay, guys. Doctor search who's in? I guess we have to find people here first
Luffy: im in!
Sanji: Me too
Usopp: Bye, go have fun!
Rimuru: i suggest you stay on the ship to keep watch Zoro
Zoro: Why is that?
Rimuru: In case someone comes here to mess with the ship, like those guys
Rimuru points at a crowd holding guns that suddenly surrounded them.
Man: That's far enough pirates!
Usopp: KYAAAAAHH!!
Luffy: That was easy
Rimuru: Too bad they aren't friendly
Suddenly, a large man in a green coat stepped forward.
???: I'll only say this once! Your kind is not welcome here, leave immediately
Luffy: we only came here to find a doctor
Vivi: we have someone who's sick
Man 1: You have to do better than that! We won't fall for that old trick!
Man 2: This is our island! We won't let any filthy pirates land here!
Man 3: Rise anchor and leave now! Or we'll blow you and your ship out of the water!
Sanji: That's great. We barely said hello, and they already hate us
Man 1: Get out of here!
A man shoots his gun and misses Sanji.
Usopp: Look out!
Sanji: *angry* big mistake
Sanji tries to run up to the guy who fired at him when Vivi grabbed him.
Vivi: sanji, stop!
The man fired another bullet aimed at Vivi.
Rimuru blocked the bullet with her sword coated in haki.
Rimuru glares at the man, causing him to flinch.
Everyone aimed their guns at Rimuru.
Rimuru: If you don't want us to land, then that's fine. we won't, but we really need a doctor. We'd rather not cause any trouble, so if any of you pulled the trigger, then we'll have no choice but to retaliate
Vivi prostrate herself to beg.
Vivi: Please, call a doctor. Our friend is dying from a serious illness. I'm begging you. Please help us
Rimuu glances at Luffy.
Rimuru: Luffy, stay right there and listen
Luffy: Hmm?
Rimuru: Not everything can be fixed through violence. These people have gone through a lot given their reaction to pirates like us. We can't get in a fight. If we do, then we won't be able to get Nami a doctor
Luffy nodded, and their gazes went back to the crowd.
Luffy vowed down.
Luffy: Please help us call a doctor. our friend needs you
After a moment of silence, the leader of the crowd acknowledged their sincerity.
???: I'll show you to our village, follow me
Man: b-but Dalton?
Dalton: it's fine, I'll take full responsibility for whatever they do
Dalton began walking away.
Rimuru: See. It's better to ask first before doing anything
Luffy: Right
Afterward, everyone made their way to a nearby village, except Zoro and Karoo, who had to stay on the ship to guard it.
Dalton: There is one thing I feel like I should warn you about. The only doctor we have around here is actually a witch
Rimuru: Huh?
Usopp: a witch?
Sanji: You've got to be kidding me. Everything on this island is messed up. Whay do you people call this place anyway?
Dalton: Actually, this island still doesn't have a name
Vivi: an island without a name? I didn't know that was even possible
As the group kept walking, a bear suddenly showed up.
Usopp: AAAAAAAHHHH!! A BEAR!
Rimuru: woah, that bear is huge
Usopp: EVERYONE, HURRY UP AND PRETEND TO BE DEAD!
Usopp quickly fell on his face to act dead.
Dalton: a hiking bear, It poses no threat. Don't forget to bow. It's proper manners
Everyone bowed and continued on their way while Rimuru is laughing at Usopp's overreaction.
Meanwhile, back at the ship.
Karoo is shivering in the cold. Meanwhile, Zoro got bored.
Zoro: Hey bird. I'm going for some ice water swimming, I'll be right back
Karoo: QUACK!?
Zoro took his shirt off and dove in the cold river
Back to the crew.
They've arrived at a village Dalton called Bighorn village.
Luffy: Rimuru looks at all the weird animals walking around everywhere
Usopp: well yeah this is a snow country
Rimuru: Look at that. It's a wooly hippo
Luffy: Cool!
Sanji: Look Nami a village with people. We're here
Dalton: Thanks for the help everyone, if you're not a guard, then you can return to your work
Man 1: Are you certain that you will be alright here
Man 2: they are pirates after all
Dalton: i believe these people mean us no harm. It's my hunch anyway, trust me on that
The people who accompanied the crew dispersed despite having mixed opinions on the crew.
Vivi: You mean those men weren't you land security forces?
Rimuru: it was obvious the way that one guy shot Sanji
Dalton: *nod* good observation. Yes, they're just ordinary citizens. Come to my house for now
Usopp: Hey, look at that it's one of those hiking bears again!
Luffy: another one?
Luffy and Usopp bowed at a woman carrying groceries.
Rimuru smacked Usopp in the head and smacked Luffy in the head with armament haki.
Rimuru: That was rude
The crew began following Dalton to his house while people were greeting him.
Eventually, they reached Dalton's house and placed Nami on a bed.
Dalton: I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Dalton, I'm the captain of the island's security. Please forgive our less than friendly welcome
Rimuru: Don't worry about it. We are pirates, so we understand the reaction
Luffy: Yeah. Water under the bridge
Dalton sat down on the chair and glanced at Vivi.
Dalton: may i ask you a question?
Vivi: Huh?
Dalton: It's just that you look familiar to me for some reason
Vivi: *flinch* n-no. i just have one of those faces, I guess. Anyway can you tell us more about this doctor or witch if that's what she is. Nami's fever has gone up to 107 degrees
Dalton: Huh!? How long has she had it?!
Rimuru: About a few days ago, and it just keeps getting worse
Dalton: i see. She'll likely die if it gets any worse
Vivi: Yes, and we have no idea what the illness is, much less how to treat it. We don't know how to help her
Sanji: we got to find a doctor as soon as possible! Any doctor will do. Where is this witch of yours?!
Dalton: the witch. Do you see those mountains out there in the windows
Sanji: Yeah, we saw it outside earlier
Sanji looked out the window and saw a snowman and a snow-zilla blocking his view.
Luffy: super massive snowman!
Usopp: and the fierce snow beast, Snowzilla!!
Sanji: *angry* GET IN HERE BEFORE I KILL YOU!!
Luffy and Usopp were dragged inside and then restrained with Rimuru's webs.
Dalton: Those mountains out there are known as the drum rockies.do you see that castle on the largest one in the middle?
Usopp: castle?
Dalton: That castle has lost its king
Sanji: Yeah, I see it up there
Rimuru: So the witch lives there since you're bringing up the castle
Dalton: That's right. It is where the land's only doctor, Dr. Kureha lives
Sanji: Of all the places, why does she have to live on a mountain?! We need to call her here right now, Nami needs her help!
Dalton: im sorry, there's no way to contact her
Sanji: You can't be serious!?
Rimuru: Don't you guys have any transponder snails?
Dalton: we unfortunately don't have. Besides, even if we have one, she's an eccentric woman, nearly one hundred and forty years old, and her talent as a doctor is incredible
Sanji: a hundred and forty!? No wonder she doesn't get around much
Dalton: One more thing. She likes pickled plums
Rimuru: I don't see how that's relevant?
Vivi: What happens if people get sick or injured? Doesn't she help them?
Dalton: she comes down the mountain whenever she feels like. She looks around for patients, treats them, and before she leaves, she takes whatever she wants from their houses as payment
Usopp: she doesn't sound like a very nice lady
Luffy: she kind of sounds like a pirate
Vivi: But how is someone as old as she is get down from that mountain?
Dalton: There's an odd rumor thys be oing around here. Several of the villagers saw her at night riding a sleigh of some kind in the sky. They see her silhouette when the moon is up. That's why she is thought to be a witch. There are others who say she has seen her with a strange creature, a creature no one recognizes
Usopp: *panic* SEE! I TOLD YOU ITS A SNOW MONSTER! WHEN THERE'S SNOW THERE'S A SNOWMONSTER! OH, I KNEW THER WILL BE ONE!
Rimuru: Calm down, Usopp. She probably ate a devil fruit or is with someone who did eat a devil fruit
Dalton: Even if she is a doctor, she is still a woman I'd prefer to stay away from. Whether she possesses a devil fruit power or not. All we could do is wait for the next time she decides to come down from the mountain
Vivi: Really?
Sanji: Damn it! We can't wait here for long. Not when Nami is getting even worse as we speak
Luffy: If the doctor is on the mountain, then why don't we just climb the mountain?
Sanji: *irritated* You idiot! How do you expect to get her up there?!
Luffy: Easy. I could just carry her on my back
Vivi: That's only going to make her even more sick!
Rimuru: we don't have much choice. We need to get Nami better, or her condition could get worse
Vivi: But look at that thing! It's way too steep
Nami: *strained* guys
Everyone glanced at Nami.
Nami: It's no use. Both captains have already agreed... Besides, I need to get over this thing... and quickly... we need to hurry. For... Vivi
Unable to argue any further because of Nami agreeing with both captains, the group could only accept Nami's decision.
Luffy carried Nami on his backthen is secured with Rimuru's threads.
Usopp: I can't believe this. Our navigator is crazy
Sanji: You know you're in no shape for a trip like this, Nami
Vivi: Are you sure you'll be okay? I'll take you hours to get there
Luffy: Hey, old guy. Give me some meat for the road
Dalton : meat?
Sanji: im coming too
Rimuru: Sure, you can come with us. Vivi, Usopp, you two will have to stay here just in case this Dr kureha visited this place so you can tell her to go back to the palace so that we don't have to climb back down
Usopp: Right! I, Captain Usopp, will deliver your message without fail!
Vivi: Right, stay safe
Usopp: Listen Luffy. you have to be very careful, you can't fall even once or Nami's gonna die
Luffy: Huh!? Not even once? Fine. Now you just hold on tight to me, okay, Nami?
Dalton: im not going to stop you from going, but I should ask you to climb from the other side of the mountain to avoid the lapahns that live on this side of the mountain
Rimuru: lapahns?
Dalton: they're fierce carnivorous rabbits. If you run into a pack of them, you're as good as dead
Luffy: Really? But we gotta get up there
Rimuru: we'll be fine. All three of us are strong fighters
Dalton: *shock* You can't be serious!? You know how easily those things can kill you?!
Luffy: Nah. Rimuru said we'll be alright, so we'll be fine. Come on, let's go!
Luffy started running off, followed my Rimuru.
Luffy: Come on, Sanji, or else Nami would die!
Sanji: *irritated* Don't jinx us, you idiot!
Sanji began running after the two captains and the navigator.
Dalton: Are you sure they'll be alright?
Usopp: Well, we don't need to worry about those three
Vivi: Nami's the one in trouble. I just hope their strength can hold out long enough. She's getting sicker by the minute
The three watch as the four ran to the mountain hoping that they could reach the castle in time.
