-Kellin's POV-
It's been a month. I don't know why I'm still scared, but every time someone touches me, I literally scream. Here am I lost in my thoughts, thinking about how scared I am and I didn't even notice, Vic walk out of the bathroom.

He grabs my shoulder and like I said, I scream out, "I'm sorry, I-I-I," he's been really nervous around me, since I've been screaming out a lot. "I just wanted to know if you wanted burgers and icees?" He asks scratching the back of his head nervously. I nod sadly and sigh. I hate leaving his apartment now and I only do in two cases: if Vic leaves and school, so technically only when Vic leaves.

As soon as he shuts his apartment door and we're outside I flinch and he wraps his arms around me, I don't scream this time. He does this every time I step outside. I curl up in his embrace attempting to hide my self from the rest of the world.

"Kellin, it's okay," he says and I sigh. He's so perfect, he's the only one that understands what happened and he's always there for me.

"I'm sorry, Vic," I apologize and he looks confused. "I'm sorry that you have to spend all of your time caring for me, I feel like I've stolen your life," I say the truth for the first time.

"Kellin, no. You've give me some purpose, I love you, okay? So don't say that, Kellin. Just stop!" Vic says getting upset at me.

"Can we go back inside?" I say quickly and I try to get in but he won't unlock the door. I feel helpless, like I'm tied up again. I just want to scream. "Please unlock the door!" I scream and he tries to get me to come door stairs. "Please Vic, please?" I say sitting down leaning my back against the door no longer able to hold back the tears. "Please just unlock the door, I want to go inside!" He gives in and I run to his bedroom and curl up under the blankets.

He walks into his room after me. "Vic! Please leave me alone, I just want to be alone!" I can't seem to stop crying.

"Kellin I-" he starts.

"Please get out!" I scream tears rolling out of my eyes. He shuts the door without another word and I wrap my arms around my legs and rock myself back and forth. On the one hand I crave his comfort, but on the other hand I can't stand to be around any person.

-Vic's POV-
Hours have gone by and he is still screaming. I can hear him in the living room. Everytime I hear a scream, I wince. I want to run into my room and hold him on my lap, whispering, "It'll be okay," but he doesn't want me right now. The thought makes me cry. I'm still hungry, I really wanted burgers and icees, but I can't leave him here alone, so I decide to just cook something.

-
I made chicken nuggets and French fries. I walk into my room to tell Kellin about dinner, but he's not in there.

I walk in the bathroom and I do not like what I see. I run over to him and rip the razor out his hand before he can cut his arm. He hasn't yet, I got to him before he could. "Kellin, stop! Please don't do this!" I yell at him.

"Vic, I don't want to be here, I can't take it," I know what he means by here.

"Kellin please, stop! Please!" He sighs and starts shaking and I hold him in my arms.

"Vic, he was my dad! How could he? How could he do this to me? If he could do this, then there's no way anyone can ever love me!"

"Baby?" I whisper and he looks into my eyes, "I love you, okay? Can I please just be enough?"

"You're more than enough, but I just-"

"No, Kellin, if nothing else, do it for me please? Please don't start this, please?" I beg him and he cries harder.

"Okay, but only for you." By now we're both crying and I hold him against my chest, "I love you too Vic."

"Hey come on, I made you chicken nuggets." I smile at him and he follows me into the kitchen holding my hand. I missed him holding my hand when we walked, but now his casts are off.

-
"Sleep with me?" He asks quietly and I nod, before getting under the covers and facing him. "Thank you, Vic." His demeanor has changed dramatically since I walked into the bathroom to see what I saw.

He cuddles up in my bare chest and I lay my face in his hair. "Awe kid, I love you." I can feel him smiling against my chest, but he doesn't say anything he just kisses my chest and falls asleep.

-
"Vic!" My eyes get big, "I mean Mr. Fuentes," I'll have to give him detention for that. "Mr. Fuentes, I'm failing! If I fail, I won't graduate," his eyes go big when he says graduate.

"What? Let me see." I say referring to the paper he's holding. He's failing math, science, history, English, music, band, gym, and computer. How do you fail music or band or gym? I didn't even know I was failing him, I just entered in his grades. "Kellin you're failing every class."

"Yeah, I know, even yours, sir."

"Kellin, we're going to have study a lot more," I tell him, "And you need to talk to your other teachers."

"They won't give me extra credit," he whines.

"How are you even failing gym or band or music?"

"Let's just say they uh take off points when you don't come to class and don't get your makeup work."

"Kellin," I scold him, "Seriously? You've been skipping class?"

"Yes, I have Mr. Fuentes. I didn't want to go!"

"I'll talk to your teachers," I tell him and he walks out. I leave my classroom and walk up to the science room since Mr. Iero is pretty resonable. It's lunch so I know he won't have a class. When I walk in I see Mr. Iero talking to Mr. Way.

"Hi, Vic!" Mr. Way, Gerard, says.
"Did you need something?" Frank asks politely.

"Um yeah, one of my students brought me his progress report and he's literally failing every single one of his classes, so I'm going to give my class an extra credit assignment."

"Which student?" Frank and Gerard ask at the same time.

"Kellin Quinn."

"Yeah, I guess I can give extra credit, but the boy never comes to class." Frank says.

"Yeah, mine either, and when he does he's always late, but I'll give my class extra credit." Gerard agrees.

"Thank you guys." Well there's two down, science and music. Now to the math room with Ms. Ida.

She's not resonable at all, but I hope she'll agree. "Hi, Ms. Ida, I wanted to talk to you about a student?" I ask rather than state.

"I'm giving an extra credit quiz tomorrow, so don't bother me." A quiz? From my experience with Kellin, he sucks at quizzes even when he knows everything on the quiz.

"But not all kids are good at quizzes, maybe give them an essay or something they can do-"

"No, if they can't do well on this quiz then they don't deserve to pass," she says impatiently and I walk out, slamming the door behind me. Next teacher. Gym.

"Hey, Mr. Lanelle, can I talk to you about a student who's failing?"

"Yeah, I have a couple of kids failing and I was debating, should I just give them an optional essay?"

"Yes!" I exclaim.

"Whoa, Mr. Fuentes, calm down. You act like you have a lot riding on this." I laugh nervously and walk on to the next teacher.

"Hey, Mr. Brushe, what are you going to do for the kids who are failing your class?"

"Well I'm going to give everyone a playing test and it should bump their grade, they should've came to the concerts." He says bitterly and I nod.

"Maybe you could have them write a song?" I suggest knowing that Kellin can do that.

"Good idea, thanks." He says, but I'm not helping him, he's helping me.

"Hey, Mrs. Germain, what're you going to do about your students that're failing?"

"Let them." She says very bitterly and I want to strangle her.

"No, come on. You can't do that, these are kids lives we're playing with," and mine!

"Well then. They can go to a museum, find a piece that inspires them and write a 10 page essay about it." Absolutely impossible. But I'll help him. He'll graduate and we'll be together.

The computer teacher is extremely nice and I know she'll be understanding. "What're you going to do about your students that are failing?" I ask her.

"Well they can digitally edit a photo I sent to them, but it has to be turned in by the end of the day."

I walk into the office and tell the secretary to have Kellin Quinn report to my room.

-
"I have to do all of that?" He whines.

"Yeah, if you want to graduate." He nods and sighs.

"Okay, so first of all, I already edited the photo I just need to turn it in."

"Well then turn it in." He pulls out the iPad I gave him and types on it. "Did you email it to her?"

"Yes, I did." He responds. "Now can I write the same song I did for your class?"

"I guess, I mean he won't know right?" He grabs a piece of paper and scribbles down the lyrics.

"Mr. Way and Mr. Iero will give you an extra- credit assignment tomorrow and you better do it. And you need to study for your quiz."

"No! I can't pass quizzes no matter how hard I study." He burries his face in his hands in frustration.

"I'll help you study and you'll get it, just don't stress." I comfort him and he sighs.

"What about gym?"

"He'll give you an essay tomorrow. I'm going to have to take you to a museum and you're going to have write a ten page essay on a piece that inspires you."

"Ugh! That's so boring!" He whines and to motivate him I whisper, "But our lives won't be."

"Okay, okay! I'll do it! Hey wait what about you're class?"

"Well tomorrow I'm going to assign an essay, but I'm not sure what about yet, I'll let you know tomorrow, now you get out your book!"

-
"Can I take a break?" He whines and he's only been working for thirty minutes and if you count the time he studied at lunch then he's been working for one hour. I walk over and kiss him on the top of his head. "Never mind I'll study." I smile at him.

"Hey at 4:00 we're leaving for the museum."

-
"Mr. Fuentes!" He beams coming in on my lunch again. I don't mind. "Guess what?"

"What?"

"I got my quiz back! I got a "b"! I've never gotten a "b" on anything! Ugh! I'm so excited!" He beams. That should make his grade a "c" which is passing!

"Yay! That's amazing! What about the rest of your classes?"

"Well, your paper seems super easy. I have to write about someone who inspires me," he winks at me and bites his lips. "As for history, I turned in my paper and she told me she'll grade it tomorrow. Mr. Way wants me to write an essay about what music means to me, which shouldn't be hard. I went and talked to Mr. Iero and he wants me to write an essay on why opposites attract in everyday life. I also talked to my gym teacher and he said I have to write an essay on my favorite sports team. I don't like sports! And I turned in my song. I got an "A!"

"Kellin, you'll have a b in that class!"

"I know, I can't believe it! How amazing?"

"Kellin that's great!" I hold his head in my hands and give him a quick kiss. "I'm so sorry, Kellin. I shouldn't have done that." I look at the floor and he nods. I can't wait until he graduates and I'm not his teacher.
