It breaks something inside you when you see the person who is so strong and means life to you, is breaking down in front of you. The same was happening with Shivaay, he was unable to understand what made her so vulnerable.
S: Anika you are not "someone" to me
Anika realized what she is saying, it's her man, not some stranger. She calm down herself and closed her eyes, kept her gun on the shelf and took support of it to stand. Shivaay saw this and hurriedly held her to make her stand properly. She opened her eyes and meet his eyes which are confused and worried.
A:(with teary eyes) I am sorry
The very moment shivaay immediately pulled her in his embrace, she closed her eyes and felt upmost peace and relaxation in his warmth. He held her tight enough to give her assurance that he was there for her.
S: It's okay, I understand, but you need to relax first then we will talk
She parted from him and went near her balcony, looking outside. Shivaay kept looking at her, he knows she is in tension but this is not going to help in any way. He walk up to her and held her from back. She turned to the face and kept looking in his eyes.
A: I am really sorry, I don't know how those words.....
Shivaay kept his finger on her lips and took her in his embrace.
S: I read the article of Meenakshi's murder case
Anika immediately parted from him and looked in his eyes.
A: You did? When?
S: After you left, you didn't care to tell me or what?
Anika shook her head and held shivaay from his shoulder.

Anika freezes

She is in so much mess, Shivaay has never seen her crying this much, what's the whole matter which made her so weak, his lady is so strong then why this form? He held her as she was not able to stand due to continuous crying. After sometime she became normal he wiped her tears and kissed her forehead numerous times.

Anika nodded and held his hand which was on her cheek, she kissed his hand and looked in his eyes.

Shivaay kissed her cheeks and went to take a glass of water. Anika had it and said
A: Meena got murdered
S: How is Mr Thappar related to this?
Anika's eyes darkened, Shivaay can clearly see exasperation in her eyes.
A:(outraged) He murdered her
S: What exactly happened?
Anika stood up and walk to the balcony, Shivaay followed her
A: We got to know that Thappar and Son are indulged into some illegal work regarding their products.
S: Products? They are one of the leading companies in the market of diamonds and they make most valuable jewelry.
A: Exactly, in the starting we didn't get anything, all there accounts and were as clear as crystal. But one day Jay got some information regarding the company

Jay: Mam here it is
He showed some papers to Anika which indicated the transformation of money in foreign account which doesn't belong to any company.
A: We are close then, Jay call Meenakshi

Within a few minutes a girl came and stood infornt of her wearing salwar kameez with dupatta.
A: Meena we might need you in this case
M: It's my pleasure to work for you Mam
A:(chuckles) Mam sounds funny yaar
M:(giggles) Okay di, but what I need to do
A: You will enter into Thappar and Sons as an employee and will work under cover for us, whatever information you get you are going to send us through a voice chip which will have a secure line and only we will have the access to it. Rest Jay will make you understand
She nodded and smiled looking at Jay who was not happy with Anika's decision.
A: You may leave and start your preparation
M: Okay di
She left while Anika looked at Jay
A: Chill, she is smart enough to handle any situation
J: Huh??
A: Stop worrying Jay
J: Mam I don't know but this time I am not getting good vibes from this case as if we should be more careful with everything
A:(smiled) Well I was aware that you love Meenakshi but to this extent?
Jay immediately lowered his head and got nervous

Anika giggles
A: It happens, when you love someone you feel worried about them in these circumstances

He left running while Anika chuckled, she leans to the chair and stares at her wallpaper of the phone, Shivaay kissing payal who was laughing like anything. A big smile appeared on her face, she closed her phone screen and looked at the papers in front of her and again thought of Meenakshi.
A: It will not be easy for her this time
After three days Meenakshi was ready to start her mission.
M: Di I am ready
Anika looked at her and kept her hand on her cheek lovingly.
A: Be safe and don't take unnecessary risks someone is very worried for you
Meenakshi blushed
A: Mili uss se ki nhi?
M: Kal raat sath m hi the di
A:(teasing) Not bad
Meenakshi smiled and Anika hugged her
A: Yaad rkhna apni safety phele kyuki tbhi mission hopayega, and don't worry we will always be there for you

Jay came and handed over an identity card to her
J: We can track you with this, so keep it close to you
M: I will
A: Meena, if you feel like things are getting out of hand and you can get caught, you know what you need to do right?
She nodded
A: Be safe, Jay

She left but Anika's heart was getting heavy, she herself don't know why.

Anika's phone started ringing, it's an unknown number
A: ACP Anika here
Person: D... D.. Dii, its...
Anika was horrified to hear the voice
A:(worried) Meena! Meena where are you, meena... hello.. hell
She called Jay
A(shouted): Jay
He came running
A: Tell priya to track the last call on my number and hurry up
J: Mam but who called?
She stopped and looked back at him
A: Meena
He frozen, his heart started beating fast when Anika shook him
A: It's not the correct time Jay, move
They ran in their jeep with other constables, Jay driving the car rash.
Constable: Mam near Shaam lake
They drove as fast as possible and reached the place
A:(ordered) Everyone scatter and search
After few minutes one lady constable called Anika, everyone ran to her direction and found a body infront of them, who was in a pool of blood, many scares on head and hands signify sever torture.
Anika was petrified, she hurriedly looked for pulse and found it to be slow
A:(shouted) Hurry up she is sinking, now
Jay came forward and lifted up Meenakshi, placed her in a jeep and drove to the hospital.
She got admitted, Anika was walking to and fro when the doctor came who was a friend of Anika. She ran towards her scared and worried.
A: Bhoomi... Meena?
B:(sadden) There are multiple injuries and major injury on her head, excessive blood loss
A:(quivering) Kya uske sath...?
Bhoomi nodded being downcast
B: Gangrape
Anika closed her eyes, she shivered and Meenakshi's smiling face was coming in front of her eyes, while Bhoomi console
B: Anika you need to handle yourself
A:(with tears) 21 saal ki hai bas, kya umar hai uski, ye sb kya hogya yaar
B: Tujhe himmat rkhni hogi, usko zarurt hai tere
A ward boy came and said
W: Dr Madam 250 room number patient ko hosh aarha h
Anika wiped her tears and they ran the room, the scene in front of her thrilled her, Jay was in a mess other police officers were having tears in their eyes and in the middle was the innocent soul. She walked up to her.
A: Meena
She called and her and Meena opened her eyes
M: Dii... Dii..
Anika held her hand
A:(trying to act normal) Ohh my lady Singham, don't worry okay you will be fine soon
M:(smiled) Yes di... I... I.. Fo.. ught.. I fought till... I... Till i ca... I can....
A:(chucked) Yes, you are my brave buddy
M: I... i... can't... can't make...make..up n...ow dii
A: Stop talking nonsense nothing will happen to you okay, you will be fine
M:(tired) Di... Maa.. Maa
A: Yes, Ma is coming, she is on the way
M: Maa....ma... Du... du.. maahh......!!!!!

Her hand losses, her eyes got closed, she left this merciless world.

Anika fell on her knees crying loudly when Shivaay reached her and took her in his embrace.
A: Maa se milna chah rhi thi vo
Shivaay can imagine how much she has gone through, Meena was not just a detective for her but treats her as her small sister, she was so attached to Anika. His heart is aching so bad to see her in this state, he remembers how he reacted and how much time he took when Priyanka was arrested and taken. Now he understood why she is so devastated. He calmed her down. His own eyes were wet.
S: Jaan, you have to stay strong, I know things are so messed up, Meena left us but are you not going to give punishment to the real culprit?
Anika looked at him
S: Yes, she doesn't deserve your tears, she deserves justice Anika and only you can give her that
A:(crying) You don't know Shivaay how hard I am trying but I am not getting a single proof against Thappar, I failed as a sister, I failed as a officer, I failed
Shivaay made her stand and took her to the couch placed in the hall area, he picked up the bottle and gave it to her, she refused by moving it aside but Shivaay was reluctant to make her drink it, due to continuous crying she was really tired and her head was hurting. She stopped crying and held her head
A: Shivaay it feels like my head will burst
S: Come let's go to your room
He picked her up and walked to her room, making her lay down on the bed, he sat near her head, massaging it.
S: Do you have any balm?
Anika nodded and pointed her finger in a direction, he got up and searched for the balm on the table when he found empty rappers of some tablets, he gave a look at it and found it that they are sleeping piles. He was astonished, Anika was never a tablet person, she didn't even take pain killers in immense pain. He took the balm and came back to her. He applied the balm on her forehead and massaged it, within no time she slept holding his one hand. Shivaay kept looking at her.
S: I won't let you fall this weak Anika, you have to fight
He too slept in the sitting position one hand on her forehead and one in her hold.
