"Babe are you ready?" – Asked Johnny
"Yeah" – said Emmet walking out of the bathroom after finishing with his hair and put some cologne for the party
"Looking hot as usual" – said Johnny with a smile
"I know, you look good too" – said Emmet
"Not too shabby right? This is Dolce" – said Johnny
"And you had to ruin it by going on your own naming the brand as if that makes suit better" – said Emmet rolling his eyes
"Isn't yours Tom Ford?" – Asked Johnny in a teasing manner
"Shut up" – said Emmet annoyed while he and Johnny walked out their room and took the elevator to the floor where the anniversary party for the Baxter Foundation is taking place with everybody there already
"You know we usually are the ones late to the party because we always have a quickie before going there" – said Johnny with a smirk
"Well, today you were busy with Sue choosing the cartering service for hers and Reed's wedding, which by the way I hope you bring some goodies for me" – said Johnny
"Yeah, I bring some with me for you and Sue also bring some for Reed" – said Johnny
"Good then" – said Emmet
"You know, we can still stop the elevator to have a quickie" – suggested Johnny with a flirty smirk
"Don't, we are not gonna mess up these suits for a quickie and also, I'm not gonna walk around with your-...you know what? Let's just don't" – said Emmet
"Fine" – said Johnny pouting – "just FYI your ass looks pretty amazing on that suit" – he added giving his boyfriend a quick and playful smack on the ass as they soon arrived to the floor where the gathering was happening
Johnny and Emmet stepped out the elevator, photographers started to take pictures of them while they walked to the party, some reporters shouting questions and stuff to them, Emmet as usual tried to ignore them while Johnny ignore them too this time even if he usually likes spotlight which is why he is the one organizing stuff and making deals with the Fantastic Four and the media and brands.
"Johnny, Johnny is true that you are making a deal with Coca-Cola when you are supposed to have a deal with Pepsi already?" – Asked one of the photographers
"Emmet, who's ass woths more ensured? Yours or J.Lo's?" – Asked another photographer
"Damn, these parasites" – said Johnny rolling his eyes walking pass them with Emmet once they took a couple of photos of them posing
"Aren't you auctioning the exclusive photos of the wedding once it happens to the highest bidder between those parasites?" – Asked Emmet archin an eyebrow
"Hey, one thing is me using them, other thing is they using us for clout" – said Johnny
"Johnny, Emmet, good seeing you both" – said a man approaching them
"Hey...you..." – said Johnny faking a smile unsure of who the guy was and he started to talk to him and then more people started to approach them
"I'm gonna get a drink babe, I'll see you in a minute" – said Emmet walking away detaching his hand from his boyfriend and walked to the bar with an annoyed look
In another side of the party Sue and Reed were also talking with some people around and Franklin Richards, Sue and Johnny's dad was with them, the people kept asking questions about their wedding trying to get some inside scoop as the wedding was only a month away.
"I heard you got Vera Wang to design your dress, is that true?" – Asked a woman to the blonde girl
"No, no, I mean, I wish and I think we could have, but I decided to go with someone else for the dress, his name is Luke Jacobson and he is the best to understand how to dress supers like us" – explained Sue to the people around
"He is actually the one who helped design our new suits" – added Reed with a smile – "he will also design my tux for the wedding" – he added
"I think I heard he made the dress for the gala that She-Hulk attended where she went full Hulk, the situation was unfortunate but the dress was beautiful" – said a man
The people around agreed with the man's comment and kept talking to the couple while the father of Sue moved away from them to leave the couple talking to the crowd of people surrounding them as the conversation, they had initially about the company turned into the wedding and on the bar he find himself with his son's boyfriend.
"Emmet, enjoying the party?" – Asked Franklin
"Not as much as our celebrity couple and your son I guess" – said Emmet
"Are you feeling left behind with them gathering all the attention?" – Asked Franklin
"Nah, I don't like that much attention" – said Emmet
"Weird, sometimes it looked like you did" – said Franklin
"I mean, I do at times, but there is a difference with the amount of attention I want to get from people with the amount of attention people want me to give and receive from them" – said Emmet
"That's...pretty deep" – said Franklin
"And I bet it was unexpected coming from me Daddy Storm" – teased Emmet smirking
"You have a knack for turning things weird sometimes" – said Frankling taking a sip of his dream walking away after the nickname the black-haired
"Come on Daddy, just take off your shirt and give us a show" – said Emmet with a smirk and giggled as the older male walked away
"Hey, babe sorry I had to get all those people off me" – said Johnny approaching his boyfriend with a smirk – "by the way, not cool that you talk to my dad like that, kinda weird" – he pointed out
"I was just having some fun with my weird and very foward humor, you have your fun with those people the entrance" – said Emmet rolling his eyes
"They just wanted more inside scoop, they even asked some stuff about you but when I turned around you were gone" – said Johnny
"Really? You didn't realize that I let go your hand and walked away or tell you that I was gonna get a drink?" – Asked Emmet annoyed as he took a sip of his drink
"In my defense, I was pretty entertained" – said Johnny
"Enough to ignore your boyfriend? You know it's getting hard these days to have some WE time with all this circus around us plus work plus superhero stuff" – said Emmet
"You should have stayed and answer what they were curious to know about you though, they had pretty funny questions" – said Johnny with a smirk
"Why do they keep asking stuff about me" – said Emmet frustrated and sighed heavily rolling his eyes – "God, I miss living in anonymity" – complained Emmet
"I'm sorry, was I wrong to talk with those people then?" – Asked Johnny
"No, it's not you, but it's just...it's getting too much" – said Emmet – "see, if it's not a party, it's another meeting, if it's not another meeting, then it's a mission, we can have dates but with everyone following us or receiving us down in the building, I try to lock myself into work, but is turning into a circle and it's annoying" – he complained
"If it's too much, you know we can always pack our bags and take a couple of days, just you and me" – suggested Johnny
"I mean..." – trailed Emmet
"Emmet Silverman" – called a voice making both males turn around
"Leo?" – Asked Emmet surprised after not seeing the male for so long
"Good to see you two here and still going strong I see" – said Leo approaching the couple with a drink on his hand
In another part of the party or most likely a room close to the party Alicia and her father were talking, the man looked annoyed while the girl didn't seem much fazed by the man's attitude but still showed some annoyance on her face.
"Well, while that freak goes to get us drinks, why don't we speak the truth now Alicia" – said Phillip Masters to his daughter
"And would that truth be dad?" – Asked Alicia annoyed
"That you are with the wrong person, that freak is not a man to have a relationship with" – stated Phillip
"Dad, don't, we have gone through this a million times ever since I moved in to the Baxter Tower, me and Ben are serious right now, you just have to deal with it if you don't accept it" – explained Alicia
"There is nothing to deal with here, you are stopping this charade right now, I don't care if you felt bad for him when he was a rock monster, even if he hides that beneath that human form he is still a freak under that façade and you need to stop yours of feeling bad for him and end this before you get in too deep" – said Phillip – "now let's go is time to end this" – he added grabbing his daughters hand but she moved her hand away from him and looked mad
"Nothing is ending dad" – said Alicia with a stern tone while her father looked not happy with her answer at all

A/N: Uh-Oh! Drama on the horizon and is much needed because in order to get to the intense future chapters of this book we are gonna have to create some drama around here, the life of the superhero family can't be that "perfect" and of course this level of exposure just gives you troubles, if not let us all remember how Tony Stark handled fame as a superhero, I mean the down side, not the part where he was a billionare with a good house and all that stuff.
We have Alicia's father appearing on the scene, he wasn't here before but he is here now and is not gonna be pretty and Leo, you guys remember Leo from the previous book right? Well that's not gonna be pretty either and someone else is around you guys will see who next chapter.
