Story Unfolds :
At a royal chamber of Anga Palace:
One girl was sitting grumpily in front of a huge mahagoby dressing table. A bowl full of haldi and kumkum was seen before her. Several maids were seen to put the "lep" or layer of them on her fair skin. She was now being prepared for a bath. From her face you could easily understand that she was not a bit interested to do so. She was sulking like a young child. Indeed she was a 17 yrs old girl and quite younger than her other sisters. She protested hard but none of her elder sisters listened to it. That was the only reason of her sulking. She was indeed very happy now. She at least realized that she was with her own family.
The girl's face was round. She had two beautiful big blue eyes that seemed to change colors with emotions. Now at this very moment they were looking as hazel. It meant she was happy. Her beautiful eyes were adorned with the longest eyelashes and thin eyebrows. Her cheeks were pink and cheekbones strong. Her black hair was wavy and curly to her back. Her lips were red and full. She loved to pout them every now and then. She was doing it even now. Her legs were strong and arms were long with artistic fingers. She was a master painter. Her hip was too small and waistline medium. In two words her figure was "picture perfect" and for this reason most girls of India were envious of her while most boys were eager to steal a glimpse of her. But she was dying to meet only one among them. Her husband!!! None else!!! Now let me introduce her to all of you. She was none but the beloved baby sister of both Padma and Supriya, Devi Uruvi herself.
Devi Uruvi (3rd Karna Wife)
She made a face. Disappointed One. Her elder sisters forced her to seat on the stool. For this meaningless Rup and Shringar session and filed away. God knew where?!! God knew what was in their minds?!! She did not know those maids yet they all were respectful to her. They were gentle on scrubbing Her body and face. But she felt so angry on her sisters. Especially Supriya jiji. Where did she go now?!!
"Thik se lagao. Hamari Choti Rani ko aj dekhke Chandra Dev ko bhi laj ana chahiye. (Do it properly. Today our little queen should look so pretty that even the Moon could be ashamed of himself.)" One naughty maid was now telling this to others. She seemed as a head maid to her.
Uruvi looked at the direction of the maid. In cold eyes. She did not pay any attention to her death stares. She was instructed by Supriya to ignore the mood swings of Uruvi. She knew that Supriya would save her!!!
She lowered her head to Uruvi and introduced herself properly "Mera nam Angana hain, Rani Uruvi. Aj se ham apke khas Dasi hain. (My name is Angana, queen Uruvi. From today I am your chief maid.)"
Uruvi made a face and nodded her own pretty head in recognition. She was so enraged on her jiji Supriya at this moment. Why she hid this from her?!!! She would not talk to her from now onwards!!!
She nodded her pretty head slowly. She was so determined now. She had to punish her Jiji!!! Yet she loved her so greatly that it hurt to think of!!! She made a face again. She was confused right now!!!
Angana (behind) introspecting the makeup of Uruvi
After bathing in aromatic scents she felt fresh. Yet her anger did not a bit subsided!! Over her Jiji!!! Why did not she come to meet her?!! She did not a bit know that her both elder sisters were planning to unite Her with her husband Karna. Since her arrival.
All of a sudden she sensed a soft tug on her hands. She tilted her pretty head and looked at the direction. A tiny toddler was sitting at her lap and cheewing Her end of Dupatta. He was so divine to look at!!! His cute dimply smile!!! His naughty twinkle in his big eyes!!! His pressing the lips together to smile!!! Everything was just like her husband Karna!!! Instantly her eyes got blurred in tears. Even if she never saw the baby but her heart told her that it must be her Vrishi!!! Her own Vrishaketu!!! Supriya's Lalla!!! Joy and happiness of Padma!!!
Vrishi or Vrishaketu
She clutched the baby tightly in her arms and kissed feverishly on it's face. For no reason noways she felt so very emotional to everything. She loved to play with babies. She loved to have her own child too. Her motherly heart was aching for this tiny helpless little boy!!! The baby, even never met her in his small life, seemed so patient with her. He tolerated Her love attacks!!! As if it could recognise her as his dear Choti Ma or little mother!!! In this way that day Vrishi admitted Uruvi as his mother!!!
"Kyun Lalla ko pake Jiji ko bhul gayi na!!! (So you ultimealtely forget of your elder sister by getting a son!!)"
She heard a sweet river like voice just behind herself. With a soft giggle.
She lifted her moister eyes and then turned her head towards the voice. She identified the voice. It was of her Jiji Supriya's. She was so enraged on her yet now she was so happy to see her. Giggling like a school kid. She did not see her smiling like this!!!!
Supriya & Uruvi smiling at each other
A small smile escaped her lips cutely. She loved to see her Jiji happy!!! You can see yourself that this girl was not a bad one. Just the was hot tempered like her husband Karna. That was the only reason why they never became happy with each other. They were just like each other. It was said that in the game of love opposite attracts. Padma and Supriya were polar apart from the nature of Karna while Baishali and her next birth Uruvi was also like him. She was firy and he was Son of Surya Dev or Sun God. The source of fire and light. Most people said that Karna could be happy to marry even Krishna or Draupadi. But I don't think so. They were not compatible to each other. In the same reason Uruvi was not suitable for him. I am not saying that Uruvi did not love Karna. What I am trying to say is that their natures were so alike that whenever they got angry on each other or misjudged each other they never said sorry. She had loved him tenderly yet she was not a bit soft like Padma nor sacrifcal or devoted like Supriya. Padma was like his shadow and Supriya as his own Sunshine. She was like his pride and anger. Padma was Karna's wife. Her Supriya was his Devi or Goddess. His devotee. Uruvi was like his lover. She was not like his wife. Padma was like his Rukshmini, Supriya his Meera and Uruvi as his Radha. He needed all of them. He had loved all of them. But unfortunately he could not afford to live with the last two of them. That was the reason why they stay apart for most of their lives. Supriya, Karna and their Uruvi remained as enigma of love lives. That was the complexity of human psychology. By the way let us now concentrate on story.
"Chal. Main tujhe apne haton se sajja deti hoon. (Bow come. I will prepare you all by myself.)" Supriya dragged her and forced her to seat before the dressing table.
Then she introspected every jewelary and ornament grumpily and nodded her head in dismissal. She did not like any of them. She wanted to make her baby sister look like a queen tonight.
"Kya huwa?!! (What happened?!!!)" Uruvi asked her in surprise. She liked all the jewelary. In reality she was not choosy like before. At her maiden time she spent hours to prepare. Now she took no time. As she had no good ornaments now nor she needed any. She understood one thing. For a girl her husband's love was her biggest ornament. She matured a lot!!!
Supriya took a necklace on her both hands and put it on Uruvi's neck. She then made a little sound from her lips. A sound of disappointment. She did not like the necklace. Even if it was too good but it was not completely complimenting the beauty of her baby sister. She wanted to enhance Her beauty to that her husband would not look at anybody else this night. She was doing the same that once Padma had done for her. She prepared her baby sister Supriya in her own hands.
She then lifted another necklace and earrings and put them on Uruvi. Yes they looked good. But something was amiss. She scratched her own head in frustration. What was lacking?!!! She did not know that a little bit!!! Then she realized something and put her own necklace on the neck of her baby sister. And her own earrings. She then looked at her direction intently. With satisfaction. Now her baby sister was looking like a queen!!! She even put her own Chudamani at Uruvi's head. She donated her ebetyhing that day. To prepare her Uruvi!! For her dear husband Karna!!!
Uruvi was taken aback. Her Jiji had put down her every single jewelary and put it on herself. Even her crown or Chuda mani. The symbol of her marital status!!! How very selfless was her Jiji on whom she unjustly angry till now!!! How very sacrifcal she truly was!!!
She stopped Supriya and told her too gently "Jiji ap?!! (What are you doing now?!!)" in moister eyes. Her young heart was aching for her Jiji. Then she looked at the yellow Gnada flower and gifted it to her sister in devotion. "Ap isme bahat sundar lagogi. (You will look very beautiful with it.)"
Supriya had narrowed her eyes for a second and then lifted it to her face. With her right hand. She was touched by the love and affection of her Uruvi. She smiled brightly and clunged the flower to her heart. She promised to keep it to herself. Till her end.
Both of them failed to notice that a beautiful lady was looking at their meaningless scene of tenderness and smiling happily. She was ecastic in her joy.
"Madhava, mere parivar ko sada Aisa hi rakhna. (O Lord Krishna, keep my family happy like this. All the times.)" She asked to her deity.
Then she wiped her tears gently and came to both of those smiling sisters. She scolded them "Huwa tum dono ka?!!! Sara raat kya tair karne me hi laga degi?!!! (Are you done now?!! You don't have the entire night today!!!)" Then she put her one necklace on the empty neck of her baby sister Supriya. She did not want to see her sister Su in the empty neck. As her big sister she thought it was her own priority to make her look pretty too.
"Umm Jiji yeah iski rat hain. Meri toh nahin." Supriya made a face and then indicated to blushing Uruvi.
Padma twisted her face in fake rage. Then she added "Basusen kapda nahi dekhne wala. (My Basusen is not a man to be fooled by lavish clothes or sparkling jewels.)" She knew her dear husband's nature beautifully.
"Toh itna sajaye kyun?!! (Then why you make me look so beautiful?!!)" To her dismay, Uruvi asked her meekly. She was uncomfortable in those jewelary.
"Toh uttar de!!! (Then put them all down!!)" Supriya had winked at her naughtily. A mischief was playing in her mind. She was prankimg with her sisters.
Padma tilted her head and narrowed her eyes to Supriya. What did she talking about?!! Then something had clicked on her brain and within a few minutes grabbed the earlobe of her Supriya and pulled it gently.
"Auch. Ab maine kya kiya?!! (Now what had I done?!!)" She asked her elder sister by blinking her eyelids softly. Like an innocent child.
"Toh uttar de!!! Toh jayegi kyse?!! Uru kya Vrishi hain ki!!! (Then put them down!!! Then how will she go to meet him?!! Is she a little baby like Vrishi?)"
Padma mimicked the tone of Supriya perfectly and then asked her in the same tone.
Supriya giggled aloud and put her end of Saree in her mouth. To stop her giggling. Yet she could not control it and fell down on the bed.
Uruvi was looking at the face of her both sisters. She did not understand what was going on here. She was so nervous that she did not listen to their banters. Now she understood that something was amiss. She looked at Supriya first and then at Padma. Her elder sister's opposite reactions were fooling her for some time. Then she realized the inner meaning. If she would put down her clothes then she had to be like Vrishi!!! That meant!!! Oh God!!! How humiliating!!! She had lowered her face to the floor. To hide her flustered face. Then she smacked hard at the back of her Supriya jiji who made an unintelligible sound. Of pleasure or pain that only her God knew!!!
Then she hide her face in her palms. Padma controlled her laughter till now. She came near Uruvi and put her right palm over her head.
"Jiji dekho na Supriya jiji satati hain mujhe!!! (Dear elder sister, see all by yourself how much sister Supriya is harassing me!!)" By telling this she clutched the arms of Padma and then dragged her near. In the next second she hugged her waist tightly. Like a young girl. First time falling in Love.
This time Padma smiled aloud. She was enjoying the humiliation of Uruvi and harrasment of Supriya to her core till now. But when she compared Uru with Vrishi she giggled happily.
"Uh-huh!!" Uruvi cried aloud. She was humiliated!!!
Smiling Su-Padma
Humiliated Uruvi
Both Supriya and Padma had smiled brightly and hugged her tightly. From both sides. Those two elder sisters of hers would never left her alone. Till end. They promised each other.
