Story Unfolds :
At bedroom chamber of Queen of Anga Palace:
One beautiful girl was lying limply on her lavish four-poster mahogany bed. She was unconscious for several days. Today she gained Her senses back but due to weakness she was not able to sit down. So she was lying by closing her eyes. She refused to eat or drink anything. She wanted to see her Su. Just her Su!!! None else!!! She did not want to see even her sons. Chitra, Satya and Vrish had roamed around her room in vain. She did not call for those boys. She did not want them to see her in this critical condition. She opened her eyes once. The Sun light fell on her eyes. She put her hands on her eyes. To cover them. Her big lotus shaped eyes were narrowed. They were reddish too. She cried a lot!!! In her sleep!! She thought she was going to die!! Leaving her six sons alone!!! What would happen to her Vrish, Ban, Chitra, Satya, Shatru and Dip!! Those naive boys did not even learn how to take care of themselves!!! Only if she could get the chance to give their all responsibilities on the able shoulders of her Supriya!!!
Then she had a soft sigh. Of deep and utter frustration. She now wanted to repent for her being a burden on her baby sister's marital life!!! Why she had to come in between the love life of her husband Karna!!! Why?!! All the times!! She loved him!! He did not!! He loved Baishali, his fiancee!! He adored her Supriya, his second wife!!! He took her as she was the ultimate choice for him!! She was a good wife material!!! That was all!!
She closed her eyes tightly. In despair. Another day came. Yet her Supriya did not come to meet her. Now let me introduce her to you all. She was the loving elder sister of Supriya, Vrushali Padmavati herself.
Devi Padmavati (1st Karna wife)
One maid came into the room. With a medicine. She meekly had asked her "Maharani aushadhi le li jiye. (Please take the medicine, my queen.)"
Padma put her right hand over her head. To show her dissatisfaction. Yet she kept saying nothing. She was not in the mood!! She was mourning for her lost baby!! Even if her husband Karna did not permit her but she was happy to become a mother!! For the last time!!! The baby grew normally too!! It was of six months when she had slipped on the ground and lost the baby instantly!!! The loss took her wish of living with it too!! She did not want to live anymore!!! She was just awaiting for her Supriya so that she could give the custody of her sons to her baby sister!!! In her heart she had no urge for living left!!!
"Aushudhi le lijiye!!!" The maid had requested her once more.
She closed her eyes too tightly. Then she imagined the day when she had slipped on the floor. The ground was red in blood!! She screamed loudly. Not in pain!!! But in despair!!! She did not want to loose her baby!!! A single drop of tear emerged from her left eye. She was crying constantly!!! Till that day!!! "God!! Please don't let any mother loose her baby!! Don't let her live to suffer through this pain like her!!" She was praying hard.
All of a sudden she sensed a familiar soft touch on her right palm. She had a soft smile on her beautiful face. Her Su had come!!! To herself!! She could sense her touch!!! Then she opened her eyes slowly. To see the face of her baby sister Supriya!!! She expected to see her Supriya happy!! But she was crying fanatically!!!
Devi Supriya (2nd wife of Karna)
For a second Padma's heart beat had stopped to beat!! She could not see her Supriya to cry like this!! Not even for her sake!! She weakly dragged her to herself and kissed on her forehead. Supriya tried to control her tears till now but this time unfortunately she could not. She hugged her Jiji tightly and cried aloud. In pain and agony. Her heart was bleeding profusely. For her Jiji!!! What she had expected and what she discovered!!! A bloodless and pale face of her beautiful Elder sister!!! With no makeup!! Not a single jewelry!! Eyebags and dark circles under eyes!! Lifeless smile!! She could die before seeing her Jiji like this way!!
Sick Padma
Supriya crying aloud
Padma lifted her weak hands to touch her Supriya. They trembled slightly due to weakness. Supriya took them both and kissed in her knuckles. Like a baby!!! Like a devotee!!!
"Su tuh a gayi!!! Bola tha na maine ki agar tuh ziddi hain toh Main maha ziddi hoon. (Finally you have come back to me!! I told you beforehand that if you are adamant then I, as your elder sister, is super adamant!!!)" By telling this Padma laughed on her own joke. Brightly.
"Ha (yes) Jiji." Supriya sighed hard and leaned on her elder sister. Padma caressed her hair with affection. She was so happy today!! She could die now!!! In happiness!!!
"Apna yeah kya haal bana liya apne?!! (What have you done with yourself, sister?!!)" Supriya asked her. In shock. She could not see this sick face of her Jiji. A bit.
"Tune bhi apna yeah kya haal bana liya?!!" Her Padma Jiji kissed her cheek with love and asked her.
She hugged her tightly. She was not ready to let her elder sister go!!! In those none years she had seen so many deaths and premature demise that she was scared stiff for Padma!! She lost her sisterly Bishakha (mom of Banasen), Kalyani Bhabi (mother of Sushen and Prasen)!!!! She was not a bit ready to loose her Jiji too!!!
"Mujhe chod ke mat jaiyo!!! (Don't go leaving me alone!!)" She practically begged her Jiji!!! While sobbing hard.
"Thik hain. Toh mujhe vachan de ki joh bhi Main mangu tuh degi!!! (Okay then. Promise me to give anything that I will ask form you!!)" Padma told her.
Supriya wiped her tears forcefully and promised without thinking for a second "Vachan deti hoon. (I promise to you.)" She was ready to do anything to save her elder sister!!! Hats off to this girl and her devotion!!!
Padma pressed her lips together and smiled brightly. "Pehle soch le. (First think about it.)" She warned her baby sister.
Supriya looked her head dismissively. She could do anything for her!!! She had nothing to think about!!!
Padma tilted her face upward and she asked her lovingly "Toh phir mujhe ek Putra de. (Then give me a son.)" She was well prepared for this demand!!
Supriya opened her eyes wide in deep horror. What was her Jiji asking from her?!! She could give her life for her. But a baby!!! Impossible!!!
Padma smiled brightly at her baby sister. She knew that Supriya would be in shock!! That foolish girl had already sacrificed her marital bliss and even the love of her husband for her sake!!! She would never admit it openly but she was a great girl!!! Any girl would be proud of her!!! Having q sister like her!!
Supriya looked horrifiedly at the face of Padma. She saw the same naughty twinkle on her eyes that she noticed on the first day when Padma drove her inside the room of Karna!! It had only one meaning!! She meant it!! She was planning for this demand!! In 9 yrs Supriya had known her Jiji very well!!
"Par Jiji yeah asambhab hain. (But dear sister, it is utterly impossible.)" She told her timidly.
Padma looked at her direction and titled Her head. Then she made a face of disappointment. As if she had been expecting the reply begorehand!!!
"Tuh mere liye itni si bhi nahin kar sakti!! (Can't you do just this for my sake?!!)" She had asked her in choked tone. Then added "Maine apna Shishu khoya hain. Agar main tujhse ek aur Putra chahti hoon toh kya galat hain usme?!!! Apni Jiji ke liye tuh itna sa bhi nahin kar sakti?!! (I have lost my baby just now. Can't you give me a baby of my own?!! Can't you do that to your elder sister?!!)" She put her left palm on her womb while talking and caressed it with love.
Supriya looked at her face intently. She knew what was a baby to it's mother!! But to give her Jiji a child sue had to go near her husband Karna and that she did not want to!! She had no control on her emotions!! Just a single touch of him would made her forget of the entire world!!! She did not want that!! She did not want to ruin her sister's happy marital life!!! In her own hands!!!!
She bit her lips in indecision. What to do now?!! She did not know a bit!! How to convince her Jiji!!!
Padma gave her master stroke here and uttered with a soft sigh "Tune pran liya tha. (You promised to me, Su.)"
Supriya opened her eyes wide in great shock. She indeed had done that!!! A blunder mistake!!! She ignored it!!! Padma did not!!!
"Par (but) Jiji" She tried to open her mouth to protest but Padma put her index finger of right palm on her lips. To stop her. She obeyed. She was as usual a loyal sister!! Of her Jiji!!
"Unse main barta lap Kar lungi. Unhe manana meri uttar dayitwa hain. (You don't worry. I will talk to him and will convince him. For this.)" Padma told her while kissing her knuckles. With love and adoration. Her plan was now going to take shape!! She was going to reunite Karna and Supriya!!!
She did not noticed that someone else had watched everything from the door front. He saw everything. He understood everything. Yet he did not approve it!!! He knew what his Padma was up-to!! He knew her too well!!! He was her childhood friend after all!!

At the bedroom chamber of King at Anga:
A man was standing tall before a beautiful lady who was sitting on a big chair. She was too weak still now. But she had to come. To convince him. As she knew that only she had the qualities.
"Agar Su Man gayi hain toh ap kyun nahin?!! (If Supriya accepts the plan then why not you too?!!)" Padma had confronted him.
He looked at her direction with awe. Then came near her and sat before her chair. On his one knee. He asked her softly "Ap kya Ho?!! (What are you?!!)" with eyes full of tears.
Karna (Husband of Padmavati and Supriya)
Padma tilted her head. In amusement. She did not expect this query. From him.
He explained his reasoning "Keval hame milane ke liye ap apni pran pe khel gayi?!!! (Just to reunite us you took a chance on your life too!!)" In just one sentence he scolded her and praised her too.
"Keval ap ke liye nahin. Apni Supriya ke liye. Ham jante the ki is santan ke janam ke samay hamara mrityu bhi ho sakta tha. Par usse apko apni Su yani Supriya mil jata. Hame aur kya chahiye tha!!! (Not only for your sake. But for my baby sister too. I know that beforehand that at the time of birth of this child I will die too. But it will be helpful to you both. As you get her back. She can't leave you alone. In your distress.)" Padma answered him calmly yet truthfully.
He nodded his head in disagreement. How could she do that?!! What she was made of?!! She and her Supriya both?!!
Then he lifted his right hand to touch her cheek softly and asked her "Kya apne hamse pucha tha ki Ham ap ki bina rah payenge yeah nahin?!! Agar woh mere Devi hain toh ap meri Stri ho. Agar woh hriday ke dhadkan hain toh ap swas Ho!! Batayi Ham kiske bina jiye?!!! Swaas ke bina yeah ki dhadkan ke bina?!! (But do you ask me before taking such bold decision of you life?!! Do you ask me once whether I can live without you or not?!! If she is my Goddess then you are my best friend can wife. If she is like my heart beat then you are like my breathing. Tell me what I can do if that?!! Do I live without heart beat or without breathing?!! Do I live without her or without you?!!)" He stopped abruptly. His voice choked up.
Padmavati had no idea of his feelings. She did not know how very important her role was in his life too!! How very significant she was to him!! Her lotus shaped eyes started glowing in bright sunlight. She was crying constantly. She blamed herself for this distance between their relationship. He was never a vocal person!!! And about his relationships!!! Never!! It was her duty to understand him!!! She had to be successful in it!!! In reality only she was successful to be with him!!! Till his end!! Supriya hurt him most for her devotion!!! Uruvi hurt him most interesting her immaturity!!! But she did not!!! She stayed with him always like a rock!!! Like his support system!! His conscience!!! Supriya was his Devi (Goddess) while she was his Manavi (human) who suffered most for him!! Till end!! Every time Supriya left him alone it was she who united them two again and again!!! Hats off to Padma too!!
